My experience with this company has been a horror story. Do not rent from this company. As they are not only unresponsive, but I have literally experienced harassment on several counts. I came home from a work trip to find out that someone had broken into my apartment. Well, in my apartment were my car keys along with my house keys. When I reached out to my property manager I was locked out for 5 days. Not only did she not respond for 48 hours knowing that I was locked out of my apartment but she also said that their team does not work on the weekends. This struck me because she continuously would show up to my property every Saturday and Sunday unannounced. Finally I had to drive to the office after being locked out for 5 days, which is illegal, and they gave me the wrong keys. I did not have hot water for over three months having to take cold showers in the dead of winter. When addressing the company they sent a technician three months later still not resolving the issue. The most traumatizing experience I had with this team was when I let them know that I am a victim of domestic violence and one of the members of their team used this in an inappropriate manner against me. Due to this domestic violence incident which happened within my property due to a California Civil Code which protects domestic violence victims I broke my lease in accordance with the law and still gave a 30 day notice as well as all of the legal paperwork and I am still waiting on a response from my property manager. Being a victim of domestic violence this just re-triggered the trauma I already experienced. My rent was paid in time on full and I was served several 3 day eviction notices with no warning which is illegal in the state of California. When asked about these eviction notices I was met with no response once again. The craziest part was that I would document everything and send it to their team in full as I am a law school student and still they would not do anything. They have violated several counts of the law and truly do not care about their tenants. My advice to you is do not rent here if you are looking for a stable home with some peace of mind. I have asked for my property managers bosss number over 5 times and am still waiting for it.

The company overall communicates very clearly & is very responsive.I would definitely rent from them again! And highly recommend then.

All the employees I have worked with are professional, responsive, and care about the tenants for who we serve the rental properties for. I live with my wife and kids in a small gated community in. Its very nice and always kept clean, they also have a common court yard with patio furniture for sitting and with tables. There is also a propane barbeque wich is always kept with a full tank and cleaning supplies.

My experience as at tenant with J & D Management has been mostly positive for the year or so I rented a unit through them. Vacating the unit was a pain free smooth process. Management staff were fast at responding to any inquiries I had and fixed whatever need be in a timely matter. The managers Ive talked to have been fair and reasonable. There was an issue regarding our units back patio was in desperate need of yard maintenance which did not get worked on for at least 2-3 months, probably bad communication with the sub-contractor. Not a deal breaker, but something to consider.

Dave, Josh, Helen, and Alexandra take care of everything so my parents never have to worry about their properties. Alexandra and Helen do a fine job with the bookkeeping and monthly reports. Dave and Joshua are great about checking our properties and making sure everything is running smoothly. Oliver Tyson is the leasing agent and rents out our units within 1-2 days, sometimes within hours!!! Lastly, they have low management fees and they personalize my parents accounts the way my they like it.Completely recommend J&D Management.

Neighbors were always complaining about being loud when we actually lived in an industrial area and it was constantly loud. When I would call to get any type of maintenance done,J and D managements agents were responsive within 72 hrs. Good place to stay if you don’t mind the noise, it was also reasonable rent wise.

I have been renting for J&D management for almost a year now. I have some good and some bad experiences with them.1. Communitation - The communication of going through the process of being able to acquire our lease this year had it ups and downs. The house was still being build and when looking at this place a month before moving in, they have promised, that it would be completly done by the time of our moved in date. It was not done, but they did allow us to move in even though they were finishing up making our last room and prividing hot water. For the time everyone was there and they were still finishing up the build, they did compensate us for that rent period. The communication could of been improved by letting us know, that everything would not be finsihed by the time of our move in date. The week before our move-in date, I was still hearing that it would be done by the time we moved in. After the move-in the communication has been great and all my question have been answered in a timely manner.2. Technology - Their website that they use to process everything including paying rent is very convient and easy to use! That is the main reason why I will give them a 3 star. The only down fall of their technology is that during these times of COVID-19 they do not offer virtual tours which put myself and everyone in our house in harm when bringing outside people to come view the house. Being in a technolgy era and beign an engineer myself, I know that adding a service this would offer this would not be challenging.3. Last Point - They have asked to terminate our lease early to help better themselves to be able to get new renters in our place before the start of the college semester but did not offer any compensation for there request of early termination of the lease even though it would benefit them more.

I have been renting from J&D for over a year now and absolutely love my place. From dealing with Oliver Tyson the leasing agent to signing my lease with Alex Santos, it was seamless and enjoyable. I am able to pay rent online and submit maintenance/repair requests to the office through my portal on their website (very convenient). My property manager Laura Oliveri is always helpful when I have questions or need maintenance. She goes above and beyond to make my living experience enjoyable, even when the hot water heater goes out and has to be replaced (never fun). I plan on renting from J&D for a long time and will refer my friends and family to this company.

J&D Management has been managing my new developments in LA and SD for 2 years now. They have been dedicated to outperforming the competition with above market rents and are experts at Pre-Leasing new construction! It is very easy renting with J&D Management. My property manager is usually easily available and if there are any emergencies there is a 24/7 hotline to call. Luckily I have not needed to use it, but still nice to have as my hot water has been out before and it took a while to get maintenance. The place that I ended up choosing was clean and had been repainted recently, just an added bonus.

J&D Mgmt is great, been renting with them for 4 years now. I love the maintenance portal online - it makes it super easy to communicate with the property managers and I can see which vendor they are assigning to my maintenance request. I also really like that I can pay my rent online.

I have been a renter with J&D for two years and they have been wonderful. I love that they use simple software for online rent payments, that’s by far my favorite. Other than that they keep their apartment complexes clean and nice, and I never have any maintenance issues.

Terrible communication and maintenance requests take forever to complete or get lost between communication. You have to take things into your own hands if you want anything done correctly.They also couldn’t keep track of the correct lease amount on my property and I had to resend the lease to them because they didn’t have it. I was doing their job for them.
