I have thoroughly enjoyed my visits to this salon. All of the ladies are very sweet and very helpful. They do beautiful work. I highly recommend.

Ive been recommended the place many times by friends and family and I finally went in. Salon is clean and people were friendly. My nails were good and just my style. I am not a fan of thick nails and the tech was mindful and did them thin like I asked. The person who did the pedicure was not the same. She was hesitant to use 2 colors for shellac w French tip which I have done before. I was told I couldnt redo if I didnt like it and that she just didnt think it would look good. As the customer I feel like whatever odd request of color should be gladly applied. I reluctantly chose a single color and was less than thrilled.

Never a dull experience. They sterilize everything, use protective bags for the pedicure bath, they use pumice stone for your feet genuinely take there time to perfect there work. There was a reason why I ❤️ the location. Really clean! I’ve been to upscale ones and they don’t top off the service here

Excellent choice we made in a whim and after reading there reviews. Did not know they had been here 18 or so years! We called about 315pm Saturday the 3rd of July and asked if theyd take 3 walkins for pedicures and were told no problem. Came over 15 minutes later. They had 5 technicians on hand, 2 doing manicures and the 3 doing pedicures. I waited about 5 mins for a chair while the Queen and her sister waited maybe 15 mins before they were seated and serviced. No big deal. Eventually we were all taken care of. We had the Deluxe Spa Pedicures treatments for each one of us. Each lady we had were very pleasant and attentive. Great customer service. We will be back so give them a try 😉a

Very nice and professional. Clean salon. I paid for the deluxe pedicure which is supposed to have extra massage time. I got less than what a normal pedicure is at other places and the massage wasn’t very good. It was like a light rub of the calves. No foot massage. They also cut my skin on one of my nails during my manicure. Price is honestly a bit high for the quality. I won’t be returning. It’s a bummer because the location is good for me, price is decent and they were nice and clean. Oh well

Annie did my moms nails 💅 and Nisa did my pedicure. My moms nails look fantastic and so do my toes. Nisa did a miracle job with my feet, they were so ugly. She made me have feminine feet again!!

I went due a recommendation. I went with a group of friends. We were welcomed in and immediately started with pedicures. We were offered complimentary drinks. Then I got my nails done with a beautiful color. Helen, the lady working on me, suggested the ascent nail color. I loved it. I will be returning.

Small, quaint place. It is always clean and they are always nice. I have never been disappointed with their job. The only down fall is you really have to call ahead because they book up fast. However, they are good with telling you what they have available if you call ahead.I say give if a try !

Despite the language barrier, this is pretty much everything I look for in a nail salon. Great price for excellent service and result. My hands and feet look and feel wonderful.

Update: I returned for mani/pedi with regular polish and lip wax. It was $53 plus tip. The work is good, professional and thorough. It’s clean and relaxing atmosphere. I love it here and have updated my review to 5 stars. Also, this time I had the same color polish for my mani & pedi :)I had a shellac manicure/deluxe pedicure and it was my first time here. The ladies are friendly and professional and it’s very clean. Overall I would’ve given 5 stars except for the color miscommunication. I admit I didn’t pay attention that the mani and pedi colors were not the same but the tech insisted it was the same color and what I picked but it wasn’t and I hadn’t noticed until it was done. The pedi was just So relaxing that I was enjoying the relaxing chair and pedi and not watching her work. I don’t notice my mani was grey and pedi was purple but since she was already done I kept it what way. I will definitely be back and I will pay attention to the colors next time lol. I do recommend this place.

Absolutely best nail salon I have ever been to. Sadly, Ive moved away from San Antonio but I highly recommend Nails By Mai. My manicures last and there is no build up or lifting at the base of the nail. I usually saw Helen and she does an amazing job but all the girls who work there are so friendly and are very good. Ill miss yall!

Read the reviews online and I had to see for myself. Well if I could give more than 5 stars I would. Rosie did my pedicure and she did such an amazing and excellent job. She took her time and was very careful in not hurting me like other places Ive been to. Annie did my nails and I absolutely love them.. Ive found my place FINALLY and Im not going anywhere else. Not to mention the prices for their services...totally worth it. Anyone looking for great customer service and beautiful hands and feet, I recommend Nails by Mai.

Helen is one of the kindest and most talented manicurists I know. This nail salon has been under her ownership for the past two years. She has a fine eye for detail and perfection. The place is very clean and inviting. I have had my nails done for over 30 years in various cities and hands down, Helen is the best I have ever seen. You can definitely trust her with recommendations for your nails and trust any manicurist she has personally hired for the shop.

Hellen gave my wife exactly what she wanted. Shes had problems with most nails breaking off after about 2 to 7 days but this place is amazing, the nails have stayed intact.

I was referred by my friend Since I always saw she has great work done in her nails. I got shellac and they are soft and smooth looks so natural, I had experience bumpy shellac before in a salon by Judson Road and tried different places until I tried Nails by mai. Will keep going and will take my mom and mother in law to get manicure and pedicure!!! I loved it!!!!!!! I truly recommend it and the price is not expensive ($35) for the work.

Annie was the one that did my nails this time and because of the damage previously done to my nails. I will return to a different person just not Annie. I felt like she couldn’t care less, she just wanted to hurry up and move on to next person. Very disappointed 😔

I was very excited to try this nail shop because it had great reviews & was close to work. I have to say I’m very dissatisfied with the way my nails came out especially because I’m paying good money to enjoy these little luxuries when I can. I had coffin nails when I arrived, I asked to simply change the color of the dip. Instead my nails were changed to square. When I told the lady she proceeded to continue with her work. I told her they don’t look like coffin. She again said nothing. Then when she was done I told her these are not in anyway the coffin shape I request & she asked for payment and my signature never responding to my dissatisfaction.

I have went twice to get my nails done by Helen & both times she did outstanding work!!! My nails came out EXACTLY how I wanted them. She always takes her time & is so gentle with the process. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had bad experiences with nail salons so I was EXTREMELY picky before choosing where to go last month & after 2 amazing appointments I HAVE to leave a review. I definitely recommend this salon to anyone and Helen is the one who did my nails both time so I personally recommend her!!

So I just moved to SA from El paso first place I got my nails done was here its literally only been 1 week and my nails are already popping off like nothing. I had my eye brows waxed here. I have been to many places over the years and I normally have to touch up with the tweezers when I get home. Not today! They were done perfectly!! I called ahead to schedule my appointment and they got me right in! I hate how some places make you wait even with an appointment; whats the point!!! She took her time and followed the waxing with tweezing. Normally the wax feels way too hot due to my very sensitive skin, but the wax today was perfectly warm and soothing! Her wax must be magic because it barely even hurt! It was only $12, which is actually very inexpensive as well! The price for the quality of work will keep me coming back!! I will be telling all my friends as well!! I set an appointment for tomorrow to have a full set done! Cant wait! Thanks Mai!!

I called to make an appt to do my nails with the owner, Helen who did not have time to see me and scheduled me with another girl. Right after she finished my nails they got all messed up with ea white film and some were wrinkled. I showed Helen who told me to wait for the girl to fix them. A week later my nails were pealing so I came back for Helen to fix them.Not a whole week past by and my nails were pealing again. I won’t be back to this place for sure!

Annie did my nails 3.5 weeks ago, and I still have on all 10 nails and no lifting. She took her time and is very gentle. Found my new spot

I just got my nails done today. The lady did a good job. I like how she takes her time and makes sure everything looks good and she didnt even rush doing her job. The only thing is that I didnt really like how she took off my old set. She didnt soak them but peeled them off instead, It was a little hurt.

The owner Mai did my nails. We were doing a new set. First she starts trying to rip off my old set without soaking them. I kept telling her it was hurting and had to ask her to please soak them. She reluctantly did so. I told her the place I had gone to I only had to refill every six weeks. Well lo and behold two weeks later four of them are coming off. She wont fix them and told me to go back to the place I used to go to because she only does her refills every two weeks which basically says to me my work isnt quality enough to get you past two weeks. Thats crap. I paid $50 for crap work. Will never set foot in there again. If someone tells you to go back to old salon you better believe they dont care about you or their work they do.

Mai really took her time making sure my full set look nice, neat, and clean. :)!!! My pedi is still intact after 2 weeks, i wear flats a lot so that surprised me. Great place!!

They close at 8:00 I got there at 7:20 with nobody in the lobby. There were 2 ladies working on 1 client each and I was told they were not taking anyone else?!.. don’t you usually accept clients up until you close?

This maybe be my new favorite place. I had nail tech annie. Shs was very patient and thorough. Everyone seems polite and the salon was clean and quiet. Not a bad selection of colors. And price isnt bad either. $40 for deluxe and $30 for regular pedicures havent had my hands done yet but i intend on coming back.
