Tracy did a great job on my pedicure and full set acrylic nails. Holly is the owner and is in the floor helping out where she can to make sure everyone is taken care of. Great experience,great price. Definitely going back.

They do good work, but the past two times have been poor customer service experiences. I was the only person not greeted when I came in. And a customer who arrived after me was serviced before me.They seem to prioritize a certain clientele base for sure. Unfortunately will not go back due to being overlooked on multiple occasions.

Thank you Staff of Hollys Nail Bar. We made a last minute pedicure appointment for three people. They squeezed us in on a busy day. This is after we have contacted three other salons. Our daughter is a Service Member who is recovering from a brain injury, the nail specialists that attended to us were very sensitive to her situation. Im conflicted with this place because I got a pedicure and a full set of nails and had two different experiences. My pedicure was fine and Im very happy with the whole process other than getting a color wrong, but my nails, not so much. The last picture is what I asked for. Right after the nail tech stuck my nails on, she started filing like crazy. When she finished filing one hand I looked at them and she asked if I liked them. I said, No. It looks like you filed too far over and theyre not all even. She said, Ill check, but then didnt do anything to fix it. She just went on. Im a pretty polite person and wasnt hateful to her about it, and seriously wouldnt be upset if it wasnt so incredibly noticeable. And the thing that frustrates me is I told her it was wrong before she ever applied the acrylic or the polish, so it could have easily been redone. I spent $122 there today and literally went to Sallys right after to buy the stuff needed to fix them myself rather than make a big deal about it there. For that price, I feel like she should have taken her time and got it right. Hugely disappointing since I dont get to treat myself to things like this very often. Please make sure to listen to your clients in the future..

Customer service is lacking. I should’ve took others’ word on their reviews.I came in for an eyebrow wax and when the woman who was waxing asked about my upper lip, I said to leave it alone. She responded that it was thick and literally put her fingers on my peach fuzz and pulled it. I have never had somebody be that persistent when she already had half way waxed my eyebrows. She said my eyebrows looked good thick as an excuse to not fully do them. I think she just didn’t know how to but either way, I’m paying for a service. So if I want thin eyebrows I should be able to get themMy nails look like they’ll be another fill soon and I just got them done yesterday. Plus one of the nails broke. Sigh. These were supposed to be my graduation nails. $55 for this and the wax was ridiculous.

I love going here! They always do a great job, and i love the environment. The only Thing missing is they don’t offer you drinks like most of the other salons in town which would complete the overall “relaxing experience!”

Hollys used to be my go-to. They were quiet, friendly and all of the techs knew exactly what they were doing.That was 5 years ago. After a recent visit, its clear things have changed and not for the better.Hollys isnt clean. Their services are WAY overpriced for the quality of work. And the employees seem like they want to be anywhere but the salon. Its a depressing environment.

Men - you need to go here. I have not had a pedicure in some time. Usually that would mean pain when dealing with my cuticles. Not so here! They also have a nail polisher to remove the damage of cracked nails. Great atmosphere and very engaging staff.

They were quick, he 2 technicians working on my nails. Only issue was not checked on when drying my nails.

They always know how to do it right. Mani and Pedi are always on point. Color selection I great. Atmosphere is top notch.

My friend just wanted her acrylic nails removed, and during the almost hour long process, I kept hearing her say no several times, she said they kept asking her if she wanted a new set? She was getting upset. If you go in and specifically ask for one thing and I understand that they want to be prepared and set you up with the right tech, but to repeatedly ask (she got asked more than 4 times), at some point its borderline harassment. Safe to say she wont be back.

While in San Antonio for a conference I decided to venture out of the downtown area to I have my nails done on a Thursday afternoon. I called about 3:45 pm and was told there was no wait. When I arrived at 4pm I was asked to select a nail color and promptly seated in the pedicure area (I was getting a manicure and pedicure). While I was seated promptly it did take 30 minutes before my pedicure began.I opted for a Deluxe Spa pedicure ($40) which included a parifin wax dip, hot steam towels, and massage and it was fantastic. While getting my pedicure another nail tech did my french manicure ($20). They did a great job and made sure I was comfortable and enjoyed my experience. All together I was there about an hour and a half. I went for relaxation so that was fine by me.If you are looking to get in and out quickly I think you will need to make an appointment and be sure they know your timeline.I would certainly come back again.

My pedicure turned out well overall.. my issue is with the cleanliness. All of the nail polishes on the wall are dirty and sticky. I can tell they use the same files and tools for each pedicure because the files look worn down and so do the tools they use to scrub your feet. At the end of my pedicure, I watched the man spray the tools down with alcohol, wipe them with the same towel used for my feet, and stick them back into the blue “sterile” bag that is supposed to be opened fresh for each customer. Also, they charged me $15 more for the pedicure I chose, and I’m not sure why, I should’ve asked. Even after I tipped in cash, they still added another $15 to my bill.

My friends and I were received great!The problem was when i started noticing favoritism in customers. We waited about 30-45 for them to get us started with our pedicures. We were okay with that.But we noticed regular customers coming in (guessing they were regulars) and we had one of the girls stop my friends Pedicure to attend her. And while i saw 2 employees working on 1 customer ( 1 working on a Pedicure and 1 on manicure) Only 1 worked on my pedicure (I had also asked for a Manicure)I then made no big deal. But i saw a lady come in and get serviced as soon as possible (Getting her Manicure and pedicure done at the same time)

This is my absolute favorite place to get my nails done. All the employees are super friendly! My manicures always last forever with very little chipping and peeling. They do not rush and make sure you are well taken care of. Thank you Hollys!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THIS PLACE!!!! I always get a full set with shellac squoval shape as shown in the photo below. I left with my nails looking like complete trash (the red ones)! The gentlemen that did my nails literally kept filing, filing, and filing. If you dont know how to do the shape just have someone else do it for you, NOT A BIG DEAL if you cant. I told him I was very unhappy with the shape through the whole process, and he thought he could fix it. It just got worse! Didnt apologize, horrible customer service. I should have either gone to Walmart or just bought press on nails from Walgreens. $77 dollars DOWN THE DRAIN!!!! DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE!!!!!

I have been taking my client for 3 years and today will be the last time I take her there. We will be going to my nail tech. The staff are not friendly, they dont listen to what you want and I can tell when they are talking about someone which is rude. If you arent high class you dont get treated right they make you feel unimportant.

I was a walk-in 30 minutes to close on a Sunday. I called Holly’s and they said they could fit me in. I was honestly expecting a rush job, which I was fine with because I refused to go to work the next day with the way my nails were looking. I did not receive a rushed job, I didn’t even receive a mediocre nail job. Lily did an EXCEPTIONAL job on my nails. Lily took her time with shaping and filing my nails. My nails are beyond perfect. I will be back here again.

They were amazing! The pedicure was well executed and they took their time. Very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend pedicure here and I would go back again!

I came in with 2 other friends just before 5pm. They were so nice over the phone. When we came in, rude was exactly what we got. Pick your color and was sent upstairs to wait for 40min. A nail tech named Taylor but wore a jacket with the name Nina originally solidified the negative experience. After waiting so long she started service on 1 of my friends, I nicely asked if we could also just get water to soak while we waited even longer. She responded in a very irritated tone that someone would be with us. After 10min she turned on water for myself and another young lady. My friends water was not cold. My water was scorching hot. I said nothing as we can see she did not want to do anything additional. 30min has now passed since Taylor/Nina came to service my friend. Then Be came. Be is an older woman but very rude. She asked my friend if she was getting shellac, my friend responded no she was getting a regular polish. Be looked at my friend then smiled and said Taylor/Nina something which you can tell was negative. Needless to say she did not approve of the service that was being requested. I will never come back. Be cognizant and aware of the atmosphere in which you are spending your money.

Worst nails I’ve ever gotten DONT go here for acrylics I had tiny cuts on every finger from her messing up with the rolling tool and on top of that 4 of my nails broke off less than a day later when I was sleeping!! Besides those things the nails themselves were not at all how I told them I wanted them, even the shape was different

This is the best nail salon that Ive visited in San Antonio! Its beautiful and calming inside with gorgeous colors, gentle music, and NO televisions. Yum. For a small space, it feels absolutely spacious and like youve stepped out of reality for the time that you are there. Beautiful color selection with an array of services. I chose a deluxe pedicure, which seriously pulled out all of the stops (paraffin, scrub, hot towels, massage). My technician was absolutely meticulous and gave me such a wonderfully delightful and relaxing massage. My nails have seriously never looked better. Speaking of massage, their massage chairs are fabulous. . . seriously the best massage chair that Ive sat in (in a nail salon setting). Hollys is a cut above the rest and I highly recommend you visit for your mani/pedi needs. I recommend booking an appointment, as they seemed to be consistently busy during my entire visit (no one seemed to have to wait though).

No regard for regular customers who actually have appointments. They will take anyone and tell you to “pick a color and they’ll be right with you”. And then you wait while it’s clearly obvious that every single employee is with other clients. Greed comes to mind. Never going back after more than a decade of putting up with that nonsense!! Wanted to give NO stars, but that wasn’t an option.

Bring your own polish, most of theirs are thinned out with acetone and old. Dont get your brows done here. (These are why I only gave 4 stars)Other than that, best nails in San Antonio. Consistent across all technicians. Always busy and popular but never much of a wait and they will never rush you. They do nice work. Its the only place Ill go.

Walked-in an hour before closing and chose the place off of many people saying their pedicures were great. It seems service is inconsistent though.After sitting for 10 minutes (very reasonable) I was asked to sit in a chair where an individual just left from by the nail tech. She then disappeared....After sitting in a chair with no water no massage no acknowledgement for 35 minutes I started to think I made a mistake and wanted some of my life back. The nail tech across from me turned as I moved and finally acknowledged my pressence. Said, we will be right with you.After waiting another 10 minutes a lady came from upstairs and took out her tools and started the pedicure. 5 minutes later, another women comes downstairs and takes over the pedicure....Never was asked what type of pedicure, just what type of service at the door... some 45 minutes earlier by a different rep.Oh and the original lady that asked me to take a seat came back after 50 minutes to ask if the lady across from me wanted a manicure.smh... all in all just laughable.

No regard for customer service. They told me to sit and wait in a chair and the previous customers liner was still sitting in the reservoir. I sat on the edge of the chair for 20 min and no one did anything to replace it-gross. They were busy but I would have rather waited in the lobby until they were prepared to truly take another customer. I walked out and found another nail salon down the street with no wait and great staff and service!

Enough room for our entire wedding party and a beautiful and clean place. Nick gave the best foot rub! ;). This place is great!!!! Very accommodating! Highly recommended!!

Ive only ever had pedicures here and they always do a great job. Nice long foot and shin rubs. Relaxing. They expanded to upstairs so there shouldnt be much of a wait but beware because this place gets packed. My wifes been coming here for years for mani/pedis. Holly is always accommodating.

Went to get a mani and pedi with a friend. To set the stage it was two hours before they were set to close,we are not from around here so I ask for a price menu and estimated wait time because they appeared busy. Was pointed to the sign on the counter that only informed the prices of pedicures then he says another price not listed and walks away. When we agree to get our nails done he instructs us to pic our color. After, picking our color I sit down and the whole aisle of nail technicians look at me and one points at me then the ceiling and says “no, you go upstairs” I go up stairs and sit on the couch up stairs. My friend is with me comes upstairs and says the same thing happened to her, as we are sitting no one has spoken a word to us and we feel extremely uncomfortable we decide to go to sky nails down the street when we stand up then everyone starts talking to us saying “oh no I have chair for you now” but there was still a person in the chair. The atmosphere is not friendly very tense, I wouldn’t recommend and would suggesting finding someone/somewhere that will make you feel comfortable

$$$$$ and both my friend and I were cut. Grrr. Once we started it was solid service but the 45 minute wait to start killed us with a reservation. Last bad thing is both of our massage chairs needed work. Mine made to much noise to enjoy and hers had a tear so the machine popped out.Very clean inside and out but attention to detail is needed and everyone working is rushed because of the high customer volume.

Sitting here for 30 minutes, 4 other people have had their nails started that came in after me. What is going on.Update: after sitting there for one hour with tinfoil and nail polish remover on my fingers, I walked out. 9 people that came in after me were seen, half of those leaving with their nails done too! I have no earthly idea how this place still is open with their lack of service. I had called to make sure their was an opening and they said yes. I spoke to many bail techs that walked past me asking when someone one was going to start my nails, and they just said soon. This is what I left with my nails looking like.

I was expecting good professionally done nails when I paid $85 for my full set of acrylic nails instead I have cuts on every finger from the file and my nails all came off by the next day without me using my hands for any kind of work, I came back to the salon and they said they wouldn’t give me a refund and on top of that said that they could not re do my nails this is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional and I’ve never received worse service from a nail salon

I’ve been to this salon multiple times trying to give multiple chances since it’s so close to where I live, but I’m not a fan. This salon gives great pedicures and regular, no fuss manicures. If you are looking to get a full set with long coffin nails or something trendy like that DO NOT go here. The owner, Holly, did my set literally within 15 minutes and they looked awful. The acrylic was uneven, and she filed the nail so aggressively that my natural nail was showing.One thing that annoys me is their polish is only displayed on the wall in the bottle. Most of it seems old too and they never have the colors I’m looking for (mauves, nudes, etc).If they are busy, do not expect quality treatment. There have been times I’m not even greeted when I’ve walked in.

We had an awesome experience there I took my mom and my little sister for the first time to get pedicures and manicures and they just loved and my mom will come back again she lives in San Antonio my sister and I live out of town thank you for an awesome time you were all very friendly

I have been a customer for 13yrs. Not originally of Holly but the family its self. I have followed them around to different locations and I have always attempted to be nice to them. I have seen many of their regular customers treat them and talk to them ugly. I guess I shouldve been the same way. I always make an appointment because I only have certain people do my nails. Im so disappointed because I always had to wait, although I had an appointment. I guess today was the last straw, I finally walked out and most likely will not be going back. They do an ok job as a whole, my nail tech was awesome. But I drove across town for an ok job.. nope not no more. This only my opinion.

I came here for the first time. They have been great. Manicure and pedicure in under an hour- with both hand and foot massages... cannot beat that! I paid $55 with >20% gratituity. Seriously the best deal I have had all month.

I called for an appointmenet yesterday to ensure my daughter and I could enjoy the time together, I got a come in, and hang up. When we showed, they had no idea we had an appointment and sent us upstairs to wait around some more. They ended up sitting my daughter first, clearing a chair for me and after a good 45 mins. of waiting around, I left the chair because my daughter was almost done. And, it seems I am not the only one who made an appointment and ended up screwed. Two other ladies are complaining of the same. Will NEVER return. Too bad, I just moved to the hood and was excited to find a place right next us.

Was in town with my daughter for an event and had time to kill. Looked at the reviews and thought this place would be great. Waited 20 minutes for a pedicure, the water was cold, when asked for warmer water they said it didnt get any warmer. Didnt ask which pedicure I wanted, lasted 19 minutes from start to finsh. Really really bad.

I was in the salon with negative reviewer KAETE EDWARDS when she basically verbally assaulted the poor nail technician named Nina. I felt so bad for Nina, that I wanted to cry. First of all, she didnt have an appointment, and complained about having to wait on a very busy Sunday afternoon. KAETE EDWARDS basically ruined the experience for everybody in the salon by being such a loud noisy disrespectful jerk to the ladies doing her pedicure. It was uncomfortable for everybody involved. If I were the lady doing her services, I would have asked her to leave. Beware of KAETE EDWARDS, she is by far the rudest individual I have EVER encountered in San Antonio. Furthermore, my manicure and pedicure were great. I was having a very enjoyable experience with my boyfriend; that is until KAETE EDWARDS arrived! Definitely recommend this place! The employees there are even nice enough to bite their tongues with jerks like KAETE EDWARDS!

They do a decent mani/pedi. Unable to do designs. Biggest headache is they will tell you they have time to take you when in reality they dont. Youll be waiting a min of 30 mins, they will work on other clients in between yours.Completely inefficient at time management. 2 hours later, i still didnt have my nails done

Maybe Im spoiled but I like to know that the tools being use to maim my fingers are new/sterilized. Not only did they pull out the clippers straight from the drawer as well as push by cuticles back WITH HER OWN NAIL but the heads for the electric filler were stored in an ALTOIDS TIN. I should have walked out and couldnt tell you why I didnt.

They do a great job however the wait is ridiculous. I’ve walked out once this past week due to the wait, I came in today for a mani and pedi. I was there an hour and half with only a pedicure done. Had to walk out once again without my nails being done. Not happy.

Im new to San Antonio and my first experience was great so I came back...but this time my gel manicure was rushed because they were so busy despite me having an appointment. The technician over filed my nails creating tender spots and did an overall sub-par job, so I will be going some place new next time.

So disappointed!! For the price I paid I expected them to do a better job!

I have been going to Hollys for a long time with my sister and mom. Lately, I have not been receiving the same quality of shellac nails! I dont like walking in, not knowing the kind of service I will be getting because it has been so inconsistent! My shellac peeled the 2nd day I had them, and this has happened for the 3rd time now after Hollys has done them. Also, the lady who last did them criticized my hands, and was not very warm. Sorry Hollys but I wont be coming back.

They accused my friend and i of not paying for our nails even tho we both obviously had a receipt. Very unprofessional i will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.
