My experience far exceeded my expectations. After rear ending someone, I was able to drop my car off the day after my insurance contacted me. Johnny communicated with me through the entire process and was wonderful. My car was ready over a week ahead of schedule and looks good as new. It was great to be able to work with the same employee the entire time. I couldn’t be happier with my experience!

Generally they come to you but it was OK; service was pretty quick.I wish it was a way you didnt have to feel penalized when someone damages your vehicle or hits and runs. You pay your premiums and you still have to pay deductibles, doctor co pays etc.. Now days its not about the customers, its about the money! Everyone has their hand out.

I took my car in for repairs and somehow had a lower control arm that was loose. I took my car back several times and they kept telling me there was nothing wrong. It wasn’t until I took it to another shop who found the problem. These guys don’t take ownership or responsibility for their poor service. I’m never bringing my car back and DO NOT RECOMMEND!

My car has been at this shop for 50 days and is still not ready. My consultant has been out several times and NO ONE ELSE handles my vehicle. I have to pay out of pocket for rental car as this has caused me to use up my insurance limit. DO NOT GO HERE.

Let me tell you, This has been the absolute worst experience I’ve had at any body shop! My car has been here for 22 days now and they have misdiagnosed a problem twice now. A wiring issues likely caused by them when putting the vehicle back together. Everyday I call I get the run around about when they think it will be done. The car is now headed to a Toyota dealership as the body shop cannot figure out the wiring issue. When asked if I could at least get a loner vehicle because I can longer afford to pay for a rental car after 22 days I was told they don’t offer anything like that. As if they don’t own several dealerships in town where they could have figured this out!I also don’t like that I have to call daily to get any kind of update because they don’t call me. I’ve received 2 phone calls from them that I didn’t have to call and leave a message first to get this entire time. The customer service has been the worst. This whole process has been inconvenient. 10/10 will not recommend to anyone!

Well they were supposed to call me within 24 hours that was on the 19th I never heard from him now its the 24th now theyre telling me that well they have a new system and the new system evidently didnt work so I had to call them I just hope that this is not indicative of their body work
They will always lie to you to get you in the door. I bet when you get there, the car just sold or its on a lot they arent allowed to go pull from.
The front desk staff was great, the employee that looked at my car and explained all what needed to get done was great. Only thing I can complain about is money was missing from my car when I got it back. I signed a waiver saying they arent responsible for missing things, it was only $5 in my center console, so it is what it is. Just remember to take EVERYTHING of value out of the car.The enterprise rental car that is in house is phenomenal. The staff there are courteous, welcoming, polite, and make sure youre taken care of. They made that location worth wild. Best experience with a rental car company was there.

The staff is also very professional and treated me like GOLD! Brandon took Excellent care of me! He kept me informed along the way and set all the expectations. Compared to most body shops Ive been to, (that look like a nuclear waste site), and are dumpy and nasty, and also have rude and unprofessional staff to match.This is by far a Top of the Line Body Shop! I took my car in after my accident. When i went to pick my car up there is now a large crack going across my front windshield. When i brought it to their attention, no one knew what was going on and seemed just as shocked as i was to see it. I showed pictures of my car prior to the accident and the day after the accident to get further assistance. And i recieved no assistance with my car. I was told that it had to have already been there dispite having proof that it wasnt.
I am a return customer. Unfortunately I had to take my cars into the shop to get repair work done. But fortunately Victor/Brandon/Joseph from Red McCombs Collision have done great work. On my wifes car they did an outstanding job. And a few months later I had my sons car there and they did a good job as well but I had to return for some follow up work, but they did everything to make it right. And they did. They make sure you are 100% satisfied. Victor was very pleasant to work with. Brandon and Joseph are amazing paint and body specialist. Thank you Vic, Brandon, and Joseph!!!

They caused more damages to my vehicle and billed my insurance for their damages. Then said they would take care of my rental which they also billed my insurance for and then the rental place cant get in touch with them as well and billed me for extra days and kept my deposit. I am currently filing a complaint with my insurance to never recommend using this place for customers. Horrible experience.

A revision of my previous review. I found out today that my account was charged 280.70 due to the inability of Red McCombs and Hertz to properly communicate. This put a damper of my vacation to have to find out I was charged and to handle an issue with both companies. Very disappointed in both companies. Red McCombs said they would be covering the overage due to my vehicle not properly being prepared the first time. Hence, not the case because I was charged. Furious and venting....

After receiving multiple estimates, Red McCombs Collision Center is where I decided to take my boyfriend’s car that I had backed into a truck hinge with. Upon arriving, Nick was able to help us immediately and get us started on our repair journey. He was very nice and transparent throughout the whole process, and was also able to give us an accurate timeline on when the car would be done getting fixed. When the car was ready, it looked brand new. Although I hope to not need any car repairs in the future, I would definitely do business here again.

Hot dog, I just dropped my beautiful Kiki off today to get her left rear bump and side panel repaired. My insurance provider had attempted to send me to a large branch collision repair here in San Antonio, and of course I refused. I demanded she check for Red McCombs on the list of collision repair providers as I knew my rights and I know that the first name on the list of authorized shops give huge discounts to the insurance company, while doing subpar work. Sure enough Red McCombs was on the list I took my vehicle in and had great service plus here is the best thing Enterprise is right there in the same building. Red McCombs keep up the stellar work and have your back office speak with the insurance companies because apparently your name is not at the top of the list.
After bringing my vehicle here after a car accident for repair I can honestly say first hand that I will never bring my vehicle here again. Laura and Marc provided excellent customer service, but the amount of excuses, delays, and organization is unreal. My biggest complaint is with their management . Their office manager “Theresa” is one of the rudest people I have ever encountered in my entire life.She is the reason I will never return nor recommend anyone that I know bring their vehicle to this center. When answering phone she is RUDE, explain to her why your calling she basically calls you a liar, and says she doesn’t know .Everyone here besides Marc and Laura in the office seems VERY annoyed. Not a place I would give my money too. I even called the district manager to file a complaint and was referred back to their local management .Bottom line is this place provided worst customer service department of any body shop I have ever dealt with.
Sad to say I was scared about dropping my baby off to get repaired not knowing who to trust. Nick was very helpful explaining everything from start to finish. Time frame given me was on point, when I got by baby back she was looking just the way I took her off the lot. Thank you Nick for keeping me updated and staying on top of it all. If for some reason repairs are needed again, I definitely know where to come! Great job guys.

Customer service was good, and they worked with my insurance to provide a smooth process at the start and finish. They have an attached Enterprise car rental, which is fantastic. My only complaint is communication about my vehicle while it was being serviced. There were delays, which is fine, but most of the time when the mechanic said he would call me back, he didnt, and I ended up having to make a lot of calls there myself as follow-ups. However, the workmanship seems to be great. My car looks like new, better than before the accident!
Service advisor Robert provided excellent service in getting my vehicle repaired. The car was painted by Miguel and it looks brand new. I highly recommend Red Mccombs collision for quality work.
I am very disappointed and dissatisfied with the service I received from these people. I will never recommend Red McCombs to anyone. I turned my car in and when it was ready no one called me, I had to call and find out myself days after it was completed causing me to keep rental longer then needed. They said they been trying to contact me, I submitted my phone records along with a visual Voicemail that says nothing about it being ready, and no phone calls from them were on my phone record history. When I got my car back, the passenger visor was thrown, my chandelier was broken, and there is a new crack in my windshield. I call and complain and bring my car back they put visor back on and They said they will get with my insurance for windshield. They contacted my insurance saying they did me the courtesy of fixing the visor they broke and they were not replacing windshield. I submitted pics of windshield before taking in the shop and there is no crack in the windshield and I sent them in to show proof and they said their expert said it is old. It is a lie I know that they made that crack, proof is there. I recommend to use another collision center these people are inconsiderate and shady: I can not stand poor customer service .
Due to an accident, I had my car towed to Red McCombs Collision center on 4/8/2012. The service was superb. Nicholas patiently explained the appraisal process to me (several times) as I had no experience in this area. He followed up with me by phone on the days he said he would, always with courtesy and professionalism. My old car drives great and looks wonderful. Highly recommend!

Job was EXCELLENT. Johnny was the body shop technician assigned to my car and he was very professional, pleasant and patient. When I got lost and panicked both the Secretary were very patient in giving me directions. When I received my car back not only was the work excellent, IT WAS DETAILED. The interior leather was polished, the floor vacuumed and my car was washed and waxed. This service shop really know how to cushion the blow from negative event of my car accident.
Went in for at quote, I was a walk in but Rachel Jones was nice and professional along with Nick. They took care of me within minutes and I was in and out in no time. The estimate was lower than what I was expecting. I only gave it 4 stars because I havent got any work done yet but first impressions are 5 stars.
Great service! Had to get drivers door and fender repaired on my new Ford Escape! They had it done within a week and left my car looking brand new! Shoutout to Chris, Johnny and Jerry for speedy and professional service!!
I never actually got the chance to use them - I dodged out while I had the chance.1) First meeting I schedule an appointment to get the massive damage from the San Antonio hail storm repaired. I think this was the June time frame - they dont have openings until September. Understandable because of so many customers - cool got it. September comes, they lost my appointment and want months more to schedule another. I have the name of the guy I talked to, they have the request from USAA, but nobody there remembers either.2) My wife is in the same boat with her car, but needs to ask some questions about some specific items. It took her 5 separate phone calls to finally get a hold of the dude assigned her case. They kept saying hell call you back (he never did). Finally she gets a hold of him and the guy just gives her grief saying they already have enough customers. Eventually he answers the question, but it was a surprisingly painful conversation.3) When I talked to the same guy my wife did, he gave me the same line about not needing more customers - something he made very apparent, multiple times. Its a warning flag when someone is actively dismissing customers rather than handling it like a pro.Didnt take my cars there, but based on experience so far, would definitely avoid this place. For what its worth, my far more car savvy coworkers also strongly advised against this place. Not exactly well founded criticism, but at this point worth throwing in there as additional weight for just finding somewhere else.
Our vehicle has been here for going on 3 months! Still not fixed, we have been extremely patient with this center and their poor communication, poor service, and overall lack of expertise on the repair is like none I have experienced before.If I were reading this I would take my vehicle elsewhere. I do not say this to ruin business for a company, I post this to help customers have a better experience than we did and not have to go thru these headaches and the run around we have had with this center.I own and operate my own business myself, and if this is the way I operated, I would deserve the same criticism.Changed to 3 stars from 1, for our troubles they did waive the $500 deductible. Still unpleasant experience.
I had an exceptional experience with this body shop! To be precise exceptionally poor experience. Nick was assigned to work with my car, and I believe he made sure the repair of my car would take 2 weeks instead of projected 3 days. First, he didnt meet any of the deadlines he set for himself. He promised that he will submit estimate to insurance in 2 days, but he managed to take a week for this. Second, there is no communication with other departments, so Nick never knew what was going on. And, third, they would blame insurance that takes long time to approve estimate/work, even though they submit it only 5 minutes before calling you. If you think that customer shouldnt be involved in between of an insurance and a body shop, they will prove you opposite. It is the worst place to fix your car, and Im surprised how company with such a big name as Red McCombs can have so irresponsible and indifferent employees.

We took my husband Tahoe in from damage hit and no issues. Everything went smooth. Car came out great about 2 yrs ago so were taking it in for hail damage repairs next week! Staff always takes care of us. This will be the 3rd time going in over 3 vehicles!

Its a worst experience with my Car Collision work done by Red McCombs Collision center. I will never recommend Red McCombs to anyone.1. They dont care about Customer Experience, dont have patience to listen to you and explain the damages to you.2. They crossed the timelines multiple times.3. They even didnt test drive my car at the time of returning the car with 8000 plus dollars work.4. When I went back to them with the problem with their work, they didnt even perform the diagnosis on my car and provided completely wrong information.5. When I tried to reach their Management, their response is like we dont care at all.Unfortunately cant give zero rating. I recommend to use another collision center these people are inconsiderate and shady: I can not stand poor customer service .
Horrible. There was always an issue. No part of my car being fixed went smoothly. No one is accountable. I talked with this supervisor and he didnt seem too concerned about the integrity of his staff. Dont come here. Trust me. I read the reviews and ignored them. Dont ignore the reviews.

Get ready for a novel (if you want the long story short, skip to the bottom):The recording on the phone when you are on hold with this place says something along the lines of, we want to make this process as headache free as possible for you, unfortunately, my experience with Red McCombs Collision Center was anything but headache free.I brought in my vehicle in January 2016, after a neighbor backed into it. He left me all of his insurance info, which sped the process up with getting my car IN the shop. However, once in the shop, due to a lack of resources, personnel, or urgency with getting my vehicle repaired on time, I received a call from Katie*, who was my point of contact there. She said that they needed an extra week to get everything done, so they would go ahead and extend my car rental and contact the other persons insurance (Allstate) to let them know we needed an extension.Apparently this never happened.When I finally returned my rental car to Enterprise (who, as a side note, they share a building with, so they must be scheming together, or something), they told me that since I returned it a week late I would owe the remaining balance that insurance didnt cover ($228.99). I told them the story about how Katie was supposed to extend the rental, and they said the would look into that.Finally, a week or so after picking up my car and dropping the rental off, I get a call from Enterprise saying something along the lines of, Tough crap, insurance isnt covering the last week of the rental, we are charging your credit card. So I call Katie.Katie passes the blame off to Allstate, and gives me the Allstate reps number. I call Allstate, they say they never heard anything for an extension on the rental after setting the initial repair timeline. Allstate tells me to call Katie back.After about a week and a half of phone calls almost every day to Katie, and her trying to figure something out, she says she cant do anything, but to call their head manager, Such-and-Such Howell (I forget his first name). I try to leave him a message, but his voicemail box is full. I try to leave a message with the receptionist, she tells me to email him. I email him, and apparently he lacks the integrity or customer service skills to even return a call or email to address with the issue.And the line of communication go silent....The Long Story, Short:I am out an extra $228.99 due to poor communication and planning on THEIR part to get my car repaired in time, or to contact the proper people to get my rental covered through insurance, and Enterprise is unfortunately staffed with a handful of people whos first response to any sort of question regarding billing is essentially, uhh, let me look into that?*Katie is her real name, and shes actually a pretty nice person. While I would never take a vehicle to Red McCombs Collision Center again because of all of the headache its caused, if I ever saw her at a coffee shop or parade of some sort I would probably wave hello.
I dropped my car off to get a quote for repair which should take one hour! they assured me they would get right on it! when i called back they had not completed the quote, the gentlemen working on my quote felt it necessary to just drop everything and go to lunch! Im all about people having a great day at work and enjoying a meal. however this was both before 12 noon and a promise broken. this told me everything I needed to know about how they would treat me and my car during the repair process. put on the last burner and boiled over because who cares am I right!
As of now my car has been in the shop for over a month, I had to return my rental, and Im without a car as a full time college student with kids and a pregnant wife. Will never allow my vehicle to be dropped off at this shop again. My car has, apparently, been sitting in paint for a full week and is expected to be there ANOTHER full week. Called to speak to Johnny and was promised a return call, 3 days later I had to call again myself. Customer service is horrible when you cant even call a person back. CALIBER COLLISION ON THE OTHER HAND IS AWESOME.

My son wrecked his car and Red McCombs Collision us an estimate of $16,000.00 to fix it....the car bought new was only $23,000. Explain how that works . Another company gave us a price of $6500. WTF! Talk about trying to screw a young first time 18 yr old college student, wow. Thats messed up. Then when we said we were taking it elsewhere they said there was an admin fee of $225 and a storage fee of $300 which had NEVER been discussed at all before ! Talk about a crooked organization . Pathetic.
I just picked up my car from Reds, I couldnt be happier it turned out wonderful. After my car had to be towed in due to being horribly vandalized in my own drive way, Victor immediately got us a rental car and made sure we were well taken care of.I knew with all the hail damaged cars,that mine was going to be on a long wait list. A few weeks later Victor called to let me know it was ready to pick up. We couldnt be happier with the job they did or the service we got, especially from Victor. AND VICTOR YOU DESERVE TO TAKE A VACATION, LOL.

I usually enjoy the benefits of reading reviews but seldom write my own; however, in this case I HAD to write one! First, I noticed that this particular collision center has much higher reviews than any other in the area. While I was standing next to my sad car right after a driving lesson gone horribly wrong, I made sure my insurance company was good with McCombs. (BTW, leave teaching your teenagers to drive to the professionals!).McCombs has a partnership with USAA so I was good, and even better after I got my beautiful car back. It is less than a year old and I was worried, but it was unnecessary because everything is PERFECT!!! Victor Alanis was our guy and he was amazing. My husband was really impressed by how at ease he felt around Victor; knowing that Victor had our back. So my message to McCombs, keep doing what you are doing! And while I hope I never have to come back, I would definitely choose you again.
Had to go and speak to a Red McCombs rep..he was incredibly professional and thorough. Unfortunately he can do SO much when it comes to the responsibility of the other partys insurance company. Keeping fingers crossed for a good result.
Worst experience ever!!! DONT BRING YOUR DAMAGED VEHICLES HERE! They took forever to fix my car, all I needed was a new back bumper and for my exhaust to be straightened back out, and poor customer service. after I got it back the exhaust wasnt put back together right which caused it to melt my new back bumper an hour after leaving. They wont address the bumper being damaged due to their faulty workmanship, they finally fixed my exhaust after 2 months and now they wont give me car back because they lost the insurance check that was given to them to fix my car!

Worst customer service ever, poor attitude, sloppy work. I took my car in because it was a USAA certified shop and I had phenomenal service from another location (Red McCombs Superior collision facility) previously. This was not the case here at all and apparently USAA has had other complaints as well for the same reasons. I have a new car that was rear-ended which resulted in the replacement of the full rear bumper. Since this was the second identical incident in less than 4 months I was familiar with the process. While in their possession I also had them handle an interior issue from my son getting sick in my car which required them to contract the service out. While in their possession my car was damaged in the front, however this went unnoticed by them. It was when I was called to pick up the car and happened to look over the front I saw the severe patches of scraped paint on both sides of the front bumper as if someone drove it into a narrow concrete alcove. As stated the car is still new, it has been treated with kid gloves and was scratch free. Who, what, why or how is unknown but it was the initial response that undid me. When I brought this to the attention of the estimator her comment was Did they take pictures of it all over when they brought it in? and that she would look over the pictures to check if the damage was new or not, in spite of me letting her know they were not. Then she proceeded to look up the photos, pointed them in my direction to announce to me the damage was not there - really? Of course they repainted the damaged areas on the bumper but I guess they dont inspect their work because I pointed out some scratches though small that were not touched (this after I was told they think they painted the entire bumper. After three weeks I got the car back and about a week later when trying to put groceries in the trunk noticed three of the trunk liner anchor screws were missing including on of the cargo net anchors, so the trunk liner was not secured and the cargo net could not be used. I was told they would be ordered and Id have them in a few days, this was over two weeks ago. Ive called several times and left multiple messages and my call is not returned. Since I’ve noticed one of the lights over the license plate that was replaced, although functioning was broken when installed. Some of this may sound insignificant but the overall experience involves more than this review can state. There is no excuse for the poor customer service and the lack of quality workmanship.

Ive never had such a horrible experience, this company has kept my car weeks after it was suppose to be fixed. Vince or the manager has NEVER called to provide updates, they conveniently forget to share any important information. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!
Broke part of the car and tried to hide it. Brought in the car based on recommendation from my insurance. They took two times to fix the complete rear bumper, but didnt align it properly, and never checked the driveability effects of being rear-ended. When I went to pick up the car, I found they broke off part of the passenger handle during buffing, which I wouldnt have noticed if I wasnt opening the door for a passenger. When I asked about it, they went into the shop and found the broken part immediately, and said it was a courtesy they were fixing the break for free.I had to follow up multiple times for both the initial repair and the secondary repair, and they had left one-time use safety equipment that deployed (trash) in the car. After they attached the replacement piece, I noted that it took more than 300 lbs of force to break off, and wasnt just something that easily breaks.I now have to find another shop to fix their work, and diagnose the remaining issues.
My truck was rear ended last August and I took it to Red McCombs to be repaired. They were great to work with and very fast. I am going to take my daughters 2007 Honda to them to repair.

My car has been in for two weeks longer than the expected time. They always have a different excuse. First the insurance, than the parts... but they never update me on anything, even when promised a call back. Asked to speak to manager and was told he would call back and they never did. Wish this nightmare was over.

They gave me a no non-sense free repair estimate that made it much easier for me to explain the damage to my insurance. I was unaware my insurance has a preference for auto repair, but in gratitude I am leaving this excellent review.
