Why is the office always closed ..??? Please correct the office hours online if they are not correct !

Today, my husband and I awoke to stomping around our roof (we’re on the second floor) and slamming from what sounded like sledgehammers. I was startled awake and when I confronted who was the owner of this complex who was standing right in front of the crew, I was told “they’re just laying the roof down” as if that’s what I was upset about. I nearly had a heart attack being startled awake like that. No email. No phone call. When asked, he said “I don’t know”. This is a preview of living at Windrush.I’ve lived here for years and I have had a ton of problems in that time:- Mold problems- Leaks in the a/c- A/c not working (not to mention that they use Energy Saver mode on the thermostats that hits every time that you need the a/c most and pushes your apartment up to almost 80 degree)- Animals getting stuck in the wall (an opossum with her children which WE had to free by breaking open the wall because the office didn’t send anyone in almost 2 days)- Toilet not flushing right ever in second bathroom, rusted out bath faucets that you could cut yourself on- Exhaust hood in the kitchen does work/vents back into the apartment- Poor insulation to regulate the temperature, dirty windows- Water randomly getting shut off for “maintenance” (no calls, no texts. Found out getting ready for work)- Staff is always getting fired, hires “handyman” that seemingly have no real qualifications- Most problems get extremely fragile bandaids not actual fixes- Parking spots are always getting switched on you- Walls are paper thin- Power outlets are sparse, oddly placed, and trip almost any time you use a splitter on them- Garbage disposal has been replaced twice (I was told vegetable peels were too much for it. A garbage disposal. Vegetable peels)- Leaking sink that had to be replaced- Lack of large recycle bins- Disgusting trash receptacles that are nearly always a mess (Handyman a year ago was collecting things from the trash. Respect to the struggle, but you can’t do that when you work here)- Random maintenance visits with no forewarnings knocking like you’re the problem for not having the door unlocked- Wasp nests- No lights where you need them. Second bedroom literally has no lights except in bathroom and closet. Living room has no lights. Master bedroom has closet lights, but no room lights.- Living room ceiling is bowed in- There are/is other issues, but I have lost interest in sitting here listing them.Pros:PriceCons:Everything elseAdvice? Hire competent staff and service crews. Actually look at your apartments and FIX them not “for-now” everything. Invest in your tenants and I promise, it will be returned to you in the future. We’ve been nothing but agreeable since the beginning, but over the years our temper gets shorter and shorter. Looks quaint at first glance, but after a month you understand what you got into. Years later, you want to finish your lease and run.Picture is the patch they did when we freed the animal. Never painted.TLDR: You get what you pay for

I have lived here for 10 months and just signed a renewal. Annette Ortiz is amazing! She goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed, makes sure maintenance requests are taken care of in a timely manner, and really listens to any concerns you may have. Many kids (including mine) play outside and at the pool. I feel very safe and all my neighbors are great! We also look out for each other.

I just signed my new lease a few months ago for my 3rd renewal here. The apartments themselves are spacious, the insulation is great andits close to several grocery stores! With it being a smaller complex most of the neighbors generally know each other. Most of the apartments have had the appliances upgraded and work great! I see kids playing outside on a regular basis and people just walking their dogs, theyve all been very friendly and respectful towards each other. While the property has (like all other properties) had problems they have taken action to change/fix them. Im not going to sit here and deny that there were dealers, yes previously there were. One was actually a neighbor and he left everyone alone. Most of the former management here has been average at best but our current manager Annette Ortiz has been absolutely fantastic! Anytime something comes up she not only listens but is incredibly respectful, patient with our frustrations, assuring and has concern for her residents well being. Everything we have is followed through timely and all emergencies have been taken care of ASAP! Since she came in there has been a better choice of people coming into the complex, its been much calmer and everyone seems more relaxed! Shes simply wonderful and I hope she never leaves! Windrush really needs more people like Annette!

The complex is older and in need of renovations. Overall though it is a decent place to live. You can see that the new manager, Alba is putting forth effort to make some necessary changes. What I like most is that its quite here and I feel safe.

Ive been here almost 3yrs and so far so good. Although Ive had staff changes its never affected me and my living space. The staff has always been very helpful and has addressed any issues Ive had pretty prompltly. I love the area and how convenient everything is. Windrush also pays utilities. I pay one monthly payment and I love that. I would recommend this place for sure.

Where to begin...I lived here for 5 years. The first 3 years, wasnt so bad. Management fixed my issues in a timely manner, electricity was free, you got what you pay for. The last 2 years was just horrible once management kept changing. Property did become a Haven for drug dealers. 2 units were raided by police, including one by DEA. There were several incidents of major fights breaking out on the property. I reported to management (2017) and nothing was done, just told my to contact police (well duh). As far as the units, building became infested with roaches. We kept our unit clean, and pest control came out many times, but saw no results, it was a headache. Management failed to respond to my work orders, takes weeks to complete them. I had mold in the apartment developing, and management would not respond, did not answer my calls or emails. The office was closed half the time. The property was a joke, and worse part, they would spend all their money on landscaping, way to get your priorities straight. Moved out and good riddance. When I moved out, property didnt even have a manager or office admin... Stay away from the property, its cheap, but theres more headache in this than ever, its constantly changing managers, and all the appliances are very old. They failed to properly maintain my bathrooms and they got mold due from water leaks. Took months for someone to even look at them. The pictures will explain more... You been warned

My mom moved in a few weeks ago and I will see this is the best apartment she has ever lived in. The staff especially Claire was friendly and helpful. She had here in a few days. The apartment is beautiful, modern and spacious. Thank you for everything.Sincerely Rachel miller

Hello. I moved here in Jan 2018. I love my home. Its very spacious and quiet living. The staff is wonderful. Claire is so nice and kind. I hope she never leaves our property. She is always willing to help with a smile on her face. This is a older property that has been very well taken care of by the staff. I would highly recommend this property. I love living here and its close to everything.

As far as apartment living transitioning from a home to an apartment,this is a nice place to live and i feel safe for me and my family. Management has always been helpful,as we moved in after hours. previous manager let us move in after hours since then their is a new team. Millie who is part of the new team has always made sure any maintenance problems have always been taken care she tries real hard for us. Another great advantage is the electric bill and water is wrapped up into the rent this is somewhat a nice place to live.Thanks Windrush team Mag.Reyes

Beware folks this apartment complex is a joke there trying to make them look real classy be warned complex is in great need of updating and repairs galore and not only that; it floods ever since Mellie left there have been numerous managers who try and ware and try to look so proffessional this is a roach motel plus a joke. leek in ceiling when i was there .Some parents who think the complex ground is the baby sitter .you might save on electric but the headache is not worth it and beware they will try and trap lock you into a lease if you leave early you will be charged$$ for nothing!! stay clear of this Complex.

Ms. Lori in the office is the best ever. I love this property and how it sits in all the old trees. I can see the new team is making a difference.

Save your money and do not waste your time with this complex. I lived in 2 separate units and here is the story... Water belongs in the pool, not my apartment. My upstairs unit flooded due to a roof leak when hurricane Harvey hit the coast and we had rain. It took 2 months for a roofer to patch the roof but it was still 6 months later for the hole in the ceiling to be fixed when they actually had a maintenance person. Now they are charging me for stains on the wall from it. Every time we took showers or baths, it leaked into my downstairs neighbors apartment, even though they were brand new remodeled bathrooms. The make ready guy would would show up between 4 and 15 times a month, mainly with a level in his hand to look the part of some sort of maintenance, and offer to clean up any water on the floor. I am disabled and decided to save some money and transfer to a downstairs unit when my lease was up because I kept tripping over the stairs. I moved in the middle of June. The new manager made it sound like a dream apartment because she wanted to live in it and made an offer we could not pass up. 2 weeks after we move in, on 4th of July, it rained. I had water pouring out of my kitchen light fixtures and AC vent. The manager said well no one from upstairs has reported anything to us. 5 days later it rains again and it spreads to the living room and leaks onto the floor. Let me stress this is a downstairs unit. Not once did a proper maintenance person show up. Meanwhile, Upstairs, they kindly invited us in to show what was happening to their apartment. They have small children with swollen walls and mold worse than us. Since no one bothered the first time to show up and fix anything, I reached my limit. The office managers excuse was well they cant fix anything while it is raining. It rained for 2 separate days with bright sunny days in between. When I gave notice to vacate (because of my own son who is highly allergic to mold is vomiting daily by this point), I was told that there were no other units to switch me to and we will have to continue to pay rent on the unit until they decide to rent out it again, even while they do repairs. (Thats not legal by the way). The upstairs neighbor told us more history about this downstairs apartment and a pipe busting in the walls between the two upstairs units and flooding the downstairs one I am in. The mold was so bad from their lack of maintenance, the front bedroom window was green for 6 months. Oh and by the way, all of this is next to their show unit when you tour the property. 👍 They say dont judge a book by its cover, but please do on this one. Its the slums of Castle Hills. The turnover of the staff is absolutely true. Thank you to David who was the only maintenance person we had in 6 out of the 17 months we were there. If you live upstairs, your AC cannot keep up in the summertime. We would easily be at 80+ degrees inside during August. The bills paid that includes electric is because they have old AC units and refuse to replace them. The pool area although small and quaint was very enjoyable until a huge hornets nest made itself home in the trees. Keep my deposit money Adara, the rest we can litigate over. You are a broke company that is shameful to its residents and people deserve better. I posted pictures but also have the video of what poured into my kitchen through the light fixtures. I will find a way to post that as well.

For your safety, stay away from this place. Its become a haven for drug dealers that are occupying 80% of the complex & its not a safe & quiet community. We are an agency & blog (website coming soon) that is dedicated to raising awareness of the safety of the low rated & high rated apartment complexes across the nation. Weve experienced the issues that confirms the negative reviews about this once quiet community. The management wont do anything about the recurring problems & she appears to be negligent day by day. We also suspect shes apart of the illegal activity based on a news report about a real estate office that lost their license because they accepted cash bribes from rent applicants who are drug dealers to accept them into upscale communities. We think the same is happening here since drug dealers are taking over this complex. Save yourself from applying here & find a highly rated community. Im so confused about all the bad comments below me. Do we live in the same complex? These have by far been the best apartments Ive ever lived in. Dirty pool? I dont think Ive ever seen the pool dirty since Ive lived here. Roaches ? Wth clean your apartment... I have no rodents or mice? Repairs take awhile guys its not like you are the only resident here. Ive waited at least 1 day for AC repair... I love all the staff and love my apartment!

Rude with military not military friendly. I was moving out bought a house so I had to pay a couple thousand to end my lease. (Happy I did) but there was miscommunication about how much was owed so I spoke to their district manager and she clapped her hands and told me to GO GET HER HER MONEY NOW and told me to leave. I was so embarrassed. Now Im not asking to get treated any better by any means you shouldnt talk to anyone in this manner I ended up paying then finding out I over payed. I tried and tried to get my money I over paid back contacted the office and was told it would be resolved. I even had a hand written letter that the manager wrote on my final paperwork saying yes he is owed X amount . I showed it to them they said it couldnt be verified but would work on it. I mean it had her freaking signature on there from a previous manager. Months later still havent got paid. Worst apartments I ever stayed in.

Its not all bills paid. Its electricity only dont be confused so if you pay 1000. + water separate. Also its true about the ac repairs takes awhile. The roof situation is true mine is here. Its okay but im moving out.

My heater broke last night, they did try to repair it quickly, but the repair failed. I called the answering service at 5, on site manager came to my door at 6, tinkered with thermostat, even though i told her i didnt think that was the issue. She said if it didnt work shed call maintenance. Its now 10pm. Ive called 2 more times, nothing. Its very cold, my kids are cold, the whole place is freezing.

I am still living here unfortunately. We have been through 4 managers. They do not care about tenants once they have your money - they have tried to sell the complex several times (guess they could see through the bullsh*t of this complex). Its all about the money and the drug dealers living here supposedly there is no smoking in apartment but they allow that to happen. Tenants have multiple carport spots when you can even get one for yourself. Do not complain its useless when the person who is charge is never around but the stupid employee who just keeps telling you more lies for the owners. Please stop with the pathetic excuses of why you can not do something or I will let the Owner know. If the Owners would take pride in themselves maybe you would be more successful in filling up the apartment but again its all about the money and the drug dealers who is bring the clientele in for them(This is not the way to go). ***Please watch out for the following: cockroaches, mice, trash everywhere, children allowed to do whatever they want in the street, frequent cars coming in and out to get their drugs from the drug dealer on the property, the pool that doesnt get cleaned on a regular basis, and dog feces everywhere. *NO PRIDE IN THEMSELVES WHICH MEANS NO PRIDE IN THE PROPERY. ***RUN FROM THESE APARTMENTS***

I lived there 4 yrs ago, my daughter moved out 3 yrs ago. The apts were old but it was always a nice quiet complex. Henry was quick to get things fixed. Charlotte and April were great. My daughter said when April left everything went downhill. Too bad. I loved it there.

Okay Ive been here for about a year and a half. And for the most part things have been great. But I dont know whats going at the front office but things have changed and I dont like it. Yes. Im leaving when my lease is up but when I resigned my lease 6months ago, I was given an option not It automatically renews if you dont do X,Y, and Z. And if I was late, which happened a few times, the late notice was on the OUTSIDE OF MY DOOR!!! No one came into my home to stick a notice on it!!! That is uncalled for an disturbing. I had a friend stay the night and my roommates and I were late a couple months ago and yall were banging on my door to get in just to give us a notice!! Just leave it on the clip outside the door! Thats why its there!!! You nearly gave my friend an anxiety attack!! Today I come home with my door not locked all the way because you decided to come into my home to put a notice on the door. I understand yall can come in whenever yall want or what have you but there is a time and a place for it. You dont do that and then leave my door half locked. Yall have been great for a first time apartment but when my lease is up I am gone. I have already taken the proper measures to be sure of it.

This was on my list of properties to visit when I was looking for my apartment. The manager was very friendly and took time to call all her sister properties to see which one come help me.

DO NOT RENT AN APARTMENT HERE OR WITH ADARA Properties!!! THEIR ENTIRE STAFF was either FIRED or Quite! SO FROM March 2018 TIL JUST LAST WEEK,!!! THEIR WAS LITERALLY NOT ONE EMPLOYEE STAFFED IN THE office. THEY WERE SHUFFLING IN WHO EVER THEY COULD FIND FROM THEIR OTHER PROPERTIES AND ALL WERE IGNORANT AND CLUELESS!!! BECAUSE OF THIS MY MARCH RENT CHECK WAS LITERALLY THROWN IN A DRAWER AND NO ONE WANTED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT SO THEY DECIDED TO EVICT ME ! The property is so run down and they do not do repairs SO PLEASE DO NOT RENT AN APARTMENT FROM WINDRUSH

This apartment complex is in need of repair and upgrading this last oct nov and dec we had no hot water but no one cared they change managers as often as you cange clothes the only lovely thing here is ms. Lori who is the sweetest lady and takes all the complaints she is really the only one who cares the parking situation is terrible everyone and anyone parks In my space and management wont do anything about it its not only the management but the people who live here as well not friendly at all but gotta live somewhere Ive been here 4 years and it will never change

I only wiah I could give LESS stars.... the management is rude and disrespectful. She talkes to you like your stupid and as if she is better then you. The maintenance is way to cocky and take forever to even come check on anything. I would highly recommend to anyone thinking about moving here DONT. The whole apartment is a mess when we moved in nothing was fixed everything was dirty the ac never works... looks can be deceiving it looks like a really good place to live but beneath everything its just horrible. I cant wait to move out. its the biggest disappointment of my life and everyone that lives with me.

When we resided in Oklahoma and were searching for apartments in San Antonio we contacted Windrush Apts. Ms. Lori answered our call and encouraged us to visit the apts. Upon our arrival to San Antonio we went to Windrush and Ms. Lori greeted us enthusiastically and showed us the 4 bedroom apartment and answered all our questions. Consequently we signed the contract that she provided and helped us thru.My thankfull appreciation to Ms. Lori.

So the manager is terrible! So rude and would not help me out at all.And also when I call emergency maintenance about my ac not working, especially with my dad who lives with me and is almost 70, and had major heart surgery, I would hope someone would come fix it! But alas, no. We are still sitting here sweating our asses off.Oh and god forbid they actually fix anything! Ive had a leak in two rooms so far... Took 7 months for them to fix the one in my bedroom and they didnt even finish! And whenever I mention the one in the living room they always say oh well send someone to paint over it later like no I dont want the leak painted over, I want it fixed!!!
