We moved in a month ago and have been super impressed with the Tara apartments. We had an apartment at La Cantera prior to Tara and we like Tara just as much if not more. It is clean, quiet, well-maintained, and the office staff is great! Gage is the best!! Very helpful and friendly. We are super happy with the Tara apartments!

First S/O to my awesome apartment manager Javier!!!! With the world being so upside down right now due to the pandemic, the stress of it all has been a lot to deal with for the most of us. The team at Tara has been so calm during it all. During this time I have received many phone calls from Maria just wanting to know if I was ok or if I needed anything. During the snow storm, when most people was stuck at home and couldn’t get out, without lights or water. Tara provided all of their residents with the option to stop by the office to pick up meals, water and hot coco for that week. They open the office early to give out hot breakfasts. My apartments have gone above and beyond to keep me safe and home. With discounted rent and so much more. The love is in the community here at Tara Apartments. My neighbors are nice people, The community is clean and well kept. We’ve recently have had some updates to the look of our apartments, I love it! Our units are being updated to high end flooring and appliances. I hear the new units will include washers and dryer’s. This is a upgrade I can stand behind. But in all seriousness For the location and price Tara is definitely a place to call home. Before I close this review, Thank you Tara! But most of all thank you Javier for your patience, support, for always being available, and for always having the answers to my many problems. This property has blown me away. i just moved into one of the renovated units and i can’t even begin to tell you how much i love it. Very clean, quiet and close to EVERYTHING. I was between this complex and another one, but the management here at the Tara property truly put it over the top. Barb helped me chose out my first apartment and she was wonderful. Liz also helped me out A BUNCH. i am very appreciative of how helpful and easy they have made this whole experience for me. THANK YOU AGAIN:)

A/C has been out for several days during hot Texas weather making apartments unlivable. Management refuses to reimburse tenants for rent paid and loss of use. They are also retaliatory when issues are brought to their attention. Great location… terrible place to live.

I visited property and was told by leasing agent that they did not want any pets on property when i informed them my dog was ADA trained she said it did not matter and that she would not offer any info regarding prices. It was incredibly embarrassing to be told i was not welcomed.

I just moved in. The apartments are very nice and well taken care of. Tha staff is very helpful and friendly. I’m going to enjoy living here.

Tara Apartments are a great place to live! The rooms were all recently renovated, incredibly clean and functional. The rates are fair, and they handle utilities for you. The move in process was incredibly seamless. Being 5-10 minutes from two HEBs, a Walmart, the airport, Home Depot, Fort Sam Houston, and the Quarry; you’re really going to be in the middle of everything. The managing and leasing office is incredibly responsive to inquiries. I would highly recommend you at least come take a look.

They where very helpful and expedient. Barbara Flores was my representative and performed an outstanding job. She definitely deserves a raise....

My husband and I have lived here for over 15 years. The rent is reasonable and we love the neighborhood. We love that there is new management and they are renovating the apartments. Cant wait to move in to a renovated apartment.

I had a great leasing Agent Maria help me with the process to get into my amazing apartment. Great staff everyone is very helpful. I couldn’t have asked for a easier moving experience.

My experience here has been great thus far. Agents are very helpful, It’s reasonable priced, aesthetically pleasing, and have a very proactive maintenance crew.

I have been living in Tara Apartments for the last three years and it has been a great experience. I’m so grateful of the management team and especially Maria who has been very helpful every time I visit the office.

Manager constantly harasses tenants about plants and parking !! 3 months no air conditioning. They control heat and air. Complaints never resolved. Very very rude and disrectful manager. Wants to know your personal business. Plumbing issues all the time. No washer dryer hook ups. 😠.

This place would be five stars but the AC unit on the front apartments run off one unit and top rooms are hot in the summer. Not cool. Sweating is not one thing that you should come to after a day at work or come to to relax. Other than that, great place to live. Good atmosphere. Safe and convenient area.

DO NOT LIVE HERE. I honestly suggest do not live here unless you are older in age. The management is terrible, rude, and always harassing my husband and I. I think they do that because we are a young couple living here and they know this is our first time on our own. I personally do not feel comfortable calling or going to the front office due to them being so rude and always wanting an argument. I feel like I am always being watched by management, every thing you do they threaten to evict you. And lie A LOT!!! We have been living here for almost a year and we are fed up with management. Honestly only good thing is all bills payed and the maintenance people.(they don’t fix what needs to be fixed but are nice people). NEED TO CHANGE MANAGEMENT

I lived in these apartments for 9 years. ..very affordable, all bills paid including cable, very decent neighborhood, always quiet, thats the reason I stayed for so long. ..cant go wrong with alamo heights

DO NOT LIVE HERE I GOT ROBBED!Someone broke into my car last night and stole over 800 worth of items.Were supposed to have a security patrol but apparently not.I know multiple tenants here. All are unhappy with management.Constant beration by the manager for all kinds of reasons.Heres one.. You live on the second floor get a call about a complaint that someone is running up and down the halls at night. Problem is you work nights and your children are at their fathers... Is it right to be judged without your due process?

Worst management staff ever! The air conditioner never works which makes being in your own apartment unbearable!! Horrible place to live. Let Better Business Bureau or tx fair housing 101 know everything going on, so something could be done about the disgusting place!

The first issues were maintenance and the air conditioner went out a couple times and work orders were poorly done if at all. We got bed bugs, fleas and had roaches!! This was a disgusting living arrangement. When my husband received orders to Germany we moved out and scrubbed the place top to bottom and got a cleaning crew to help. We received a bill in the mail for almost $1,000 in move out charges!!! From having us pay $100 for too many holes in the walls after we patched up nail holes from picture frames. To charging us for an aweful tub job they did and it was still stained and chipping. They are awful and will charge you for every small item when you move out along. The staff was always very rude to my husband who could not wait to move out of this ghetto apartment community. I only lived here because at the time I got out of the military and was not able to see the apartments in person. If I had I would NOT have moved in. Stay away from this place as they will rip you out of your money while giving you bad service. Also, the month we left, my neighbor was robbed at gun point and thank God I had just left to work and this didnt happen to me. Also, I have had to call the cops a couple times because I saw drug dealers littering around the apartment community entrance watching cars coming and going.

We went to visit a friend and walked out by the pool and we were harassed by a woman claiming to be part of the staff sad she was gonna call the police as if we were criminals. turns out she only lives there she embarrassed me and my family never will I go there again. Horrible

I lived ar there Tara apparents frin 1995 until 2005! I found it a great place to live. That management was very supportive?!

Management seeks to get over on people. They said they could not verify my employment, even though I had pay stubs and they spoke with my managers.

I highly recommend the Birchleaf and Tara apartments, it is a very healthy environment.

I want to congratulate SRA MARIA RODRÍGUEZ who was the manager of the Tahitian Apartments that are now Birchleaf Appt. For being so professional in her work, addressing us as tenants always very sweet. As a manager, he is extremely professional, he always had the apartments very very clean, any detail that happened from breakdown inside the apartment would send John (handyman) to solve the problem with a single call and the same day the problem was fixed.Most of the tenants have lived here for years and we do not leave because the environment is very familiar, there are never problems, thanks to the rules we had and we have to follow in order to stay here in these apartments.I highly recommend the Birchleaf and Tara apartments, especially to MARIA RODRIGUEZ for her professionalism in her work and for her great humanity with each tenant who has lived here for years in these beautiful apartments.
