The new management is worst.I checked an apt here, they told 100 admin fee, 50 application fee and then 150 deposit.Later once i paid all the admin and application fee they come up with 300$ non-refundable thing. I was really shocked. I never come across such thing in any apartment. my credit score is good and in my current apartment they never asked me deposit also.Its a kind of lock, please beware before considering this apartment for ur living.

Was here in 2019, This community is very clean, green n beautiful from outside .. laundary, poolside gym all are clean. Rent is also less. Staff is good n helping too... Rooms are enough big n enough closets too.. the problem is apartments are with old stuffs. Like toilets, tubs, kitchen slaps, AC, kitchen sinks, tab.. u need to upgrade it little bit then u will rock.All the best.

I recommend this place Ive lived here for a year now. I love the changes management has made. We all have rules and I know some of us dont like it but the staff is great and help maintain this place. Even through this pandemic they have been here for us. The office staff is good on making sure the community looks clean.

I have been living here for 5 years now. I’ve been through different Managers and staff. By far this manager is the worse ever! She has very poor communication skills for her Complex, she shouldn’t be a complex manager. We have been with out water for 5 days now. On Friday 2/19 was the first time we had heard of the water situation from the Office. If you knew you were going to turn the water off you should have told the complex. Do yourself a favor and don’t move here!!!!It’s not the fact that this was unpredictable, The people that live in this complex feel that there was no communication about the water being cut off by you with out a warning until it was over with.

Very poor management. On top of our water being out for 4 days, and them telling us that they do not even have a time frame of when it will be back on, they seem like they dont even care because they dont have to live here. Do not answer calls or messages and when they do they are very rude and do not seem to care. Even before this emergency they were still very unresponsive to even minor repair requests. Do not rent here! You can find a much nicer complex with better management for the same price.

Since this weather storm hit we have been out of water since Tuesday Feb 16th, 2021 to currently today Feb 21st, 2021 and counting. The first time I spoke to someone in the office they said aiming for Saturday, Sunday or possibly Monday. Here we are Sunday no water in sight and now residents are saying they are hearing maybe not til Wednesday at the latest. WITH NO WATER!!!!!! Also there has been mail theft one whole roll of mailboxes were just open the other day!!!! Seriously we are not renewing here when our lease is up!!!

Loved living here my first year. Mylene was fantastic, and the value was great!The new management is horrific. After submitting a maintenance request, you have to go to the office in person and complain at least a half dozen times before anything gets done about it. The mailboxes have been broken for almost a year now, but theyre getting fixed next week! Of course, nothing is ever the fault of the office, the blame is always shifted onto some other entity.In the winter storm, we lost water and assumed that SAWS had shut it off, only to later learn that it was Hyperion that shut it off without notice! We were without water for four days before we got any kind of notification from management about what was going on.Now theyre painting the parking lot and saying theyll tow peoples cars at the owners expense?! We were given less than 24 hour notice for the buildings affected, and theres not even any real need to restripe the spots as the lines are still visible.

Hyperion has its pros and cons. Location is right in a hub of medical center. It is also a nice location because there is a trail walking distance. Theres lots of restaurants nearby as well. The price seems right for the apt. which is not very well kept. Apartments are painted over with more paint. The ceiling has the little circles which sometimes fall to the carpet. There are cracks on the walls. Plumbing is not good at all. There was always a problem. Although maintenance did an alright job to fix it. However, they would fix things half way. I had a leak in my apartment and they had to fix the roofing and make a whole. they covered it, but never went back to finish the job and paint over the ceiling. Bathroom toilet made a lot of noise too. I was a resident for 2 years and instead of having a lower rent the 2nd year as they had said, it increased. The community laundry is fine, except you need a card to put money into and the office has to be open to recharge it. Hence, if you needed to do laundry at whatever time you wanted sometimes you couldnt because you had no money left in the card and the office was closed. Other than that the community is nice and quiet and management is fine. Lastly, word of advice when moving out, dont clean, because they still charge you for carpet cleaning and paint and idk what else, even if you had already done so yourself. They said unless you had proof of some company who actually aspirated the carpet, then you would still get charged.

This is my first apartment and I have to say they staff ( in-office and maintenance) really try and help in any way they can or try and direct you. When i first moved in I received a lot of help from all 3 people in the office ( Maggie, Maylene, and Pura). I had no way of knowing how to put in service requests and they did it for me, no questions asked. The maintenance turnaround time is outstanding. They not only fix your issue but they also suggest items that you can use and what they provide. My lease renews in July 2021 and hopefully I will be able to remain here. The neighbors, for the most part, are very friendly. Even when maintenance is busy they dont hesitate to address your question which lets me know they really care about the property and their tenants.

Monday at 11:00 AM they shut the water off without warning. When I asked maintenance they said it was bc of some leaks but it would be on later that day. Nobody is answering service calls or reports online. Still no water in the complex an we are going on thursday. Would have given a high review if it wasnt for this behavior during this freeze! An for them to accept full payment after acting like this is as low as it gets. No warnings, No updates, No answers. Friday 02/19/2021 no water

I can tell this Office manager is the worse incompetent manger ever!If you knew you were going to turn the water off in your complex and you care about your residents you should inform them that day even just by posting a written note at the office door or at the mail box area and not 4 days later?!!!!!!!!!But we know our Office manager has very poor communication skills even our daily communication and you can see it just by reading how the management responded to the resident reviews on Google reviews after this crisis just by Cut and Past the same sentences proof that the management really dont care about the complex residentsBecause like she said No one could have anticipated the amount of destruction that this level of freeze could have created in the state. But with a Better office manager with better communication skills we would have better overcome this crisis. I have resided here for 9 months. I have never experience incompetent, unworthy, unresponsive managers/management, who dont care about the health and welfare if their tenants. I want to share and have people who are looking for a place to rent to look the other way. Issues that have been addressed have not been fixed. They dont answer anyones phone call and do not return the call. This past week, no power, no water, mgmt did not even remorseless check on their tenants status. I had to shower at my co workers home this is unacceptable. I would not even rate this complex with a 1 star., should be zero . In addition, the mail has been stolen and nothing has been done about it. This Mgmt only cares about what money they receive each month from their tenants. Finishing up my term and will be looking elsewhere for a better facility with better mgmt.

I have been living here for exactly 1 yr. I signed a 16 month least because the other assistant property manager was awesome and so was George, but they have since left. The manager Pura, is not a kind lady. I had never had any problems here until I had very loud and disrespectful upstairs neighbors. When I complained I got no help, when I complained again in an email, the neighbors were cited and so conveniently my car was mysteriously towed away over night. The community hadNO Tow signs... when I confronted the manger she kept insisted she did it authorize it and that they dont tow card away. I asked her for proof of this so I could fight the towing company and she refused, yet my receipt claimed that Hyperion manager called it in. I recorded this lady on my phone verbally telling me that it was not them, that was not Even the towing company they would have used. I told her that if it was them it was illegal because there were no towing signs, no information on where it would be towed or a fine, like Texas regulates. I took pictures of the entrance, all public areas to prove in court. 1 week later the complex has the towing company post a towing sign in the entrance. This lady knew they were wrong. Then I get a notice that she has been informed of people staying in my unit and that a violation... I have a girlfriend that has her own home her own HOUSE, and stay some nights with me, my personal life, she, DOES NOT LIVE WITH ME! This was the beginning of the problems. This lady will harass you, be careful. She also has a camera installed over her front door facing the street...for what!?!? We get notices that we cannot have items, such as furniture, bbq pits, a broom,etc outside of our units yet she has an old table and a chair on her front porch and a bbq that she uses not 10ft away from building but 2 ft away. Now the winter storm left us crippled, and many of us suffered and are still suffering. This lady sent us a notice on Friday telling us that Hyperion shut out water off a week ago, not SAWS issued, the problem HERE is .. she NEVER INFORMED US until 7 days later!!! This woman could have sent an emergency information telling us water would be shut off fill your tubs!!! This is the worst property manager I have ever had the not so pleasurable experience to meet. The worst part is I have no idea how this lady is the only person responding to these reviews...and Not ADARA COMMUNITIES?! Please make sure if you live here, take pictures of everything, log down all issues, save them, have proof when you move out so that you can fight the injustice, the harassment and the unbearable living situations from a lady that should not be running a potentially good place to live.. GOOD LUCK ! And PURA, dont bother commenting and posting more sarcasm and lies, but I know people like you, you MUST have the last word.

The staff here are great! So helpful and friendly! These are great apartments in a great area. They are a bit older and that brings some issues, but the maintenance and office staff are always friendly and quick to respond to such issues. I have loved my time here and will always recommend it to others.

My wife and I have lived here for over 16years, and have had over 40 different management groups here. The present ones are by far the best managers Hyperion has ever had. Maintenance guys Richard & Matt are great, they are professional, nice, & friendly. For the first time I feel like we are respected by the management. Which we have NEVER felt before. I can say enough good things about this management group. A1 / 5 star/ Top Shelf/ #1/ Gold medal.

I’ve been living here for almost a year and I highly recommend these apartments. The neighbors are nice, it’s pretty quiet and the staff is really amazing. My air conditioner went out last night and Matt one of the maintenance guys immediately came over and checked everything out. He hooked up a portable unit after he found out what was wrong with it and couldn’t get the parts until this morning. And by about 9:30 this morning My air conditioner was fixed! He never complained once about being here late last night and early this morning.Thanks again Matt! The staff is really quick to fix things here. And I am really glad I moved here.

Richard and Matthew are great maintenance guys! They do excellent work! They’ve replaced our water heater and repaired a hole underneath our bathroom sink. Just a couple of hours after we told management about the problem Matt and Richard showed-up and made quick work of the repairs. They have a great attitude and are incredibly polite. We’re glad to have them and have peace of mind knowing if we have a problem they will be there to fix it. 10/10 would recommend!

Lived there for 2 years and it had its ups and downs spoke to a certain person at office because other people were ignorant. Great service until you move out and they slap you with apartment fees for damages that came with the apartment. Please be aware when moving out you have to request a last walk threw because if you left the apartment bad you will get a letter in the mail.

Management here is awful. Besides the units being old and falling apart, you have to deal with thieves. I am ending a lease (paid every month on time) and management is charging me 85% of my rent for not giving a 60 day move out notice, when I was Never informed that I had to. Management texted me one time asking if I wanted to renew and I told them NO. Apparently, that was not good enough for them, they want to charge me almost a full months rent when I wont even staying there. Other than that, they will enter your apartment without notice and without leaving a note. Management is sneaky; Look elsewhere!

We’ve been at this same complex since November 2014, in a one bedroom apartment. The old management for the complex were extremely friendly and helpful. If we ever had an issue, the maintenance team would come in a 24 hour period to fix any issues. We resigned our lease a year later to the same apartment. Staffing would come and go so there were always new people in the office. In winter of 2016 there was a huge cockroach infestation from a couple leaks in our neighbors downstairs. It took a couple months for them to come and check ours out. They came and cleared up with spraying. Since our family was growing we decided to stay in the same complex but in a 2 bedroom. This was in March of 2017. The first week I was in our new apartment, they called to see how the apartment was going, which was a bit suspicious about it. Later that month it rained and soon realized our roof by the entrance and fire place would leak. It happen just about every month since then. I would do a maintenance order just about every other month. Supposedly they hired four different roof contractors to fix the the roof throughout the year. In November I went into the office, realized there was a whole new management team. I went in and asked what was happening. The manager was extremely rude but told me that they would fix it. I gave them 14 days and went back and told me it got all fixed that day. They said they only had ONE maintenance man for the whole complex so they were backed up. Roofers came in that day and fixed it all. Fast forward to 12/6 it rained & snowed. AND GUESS WHAT ! The roof leaked !!! Went in and they told me they had knocked and no one answered but we were all there. I asked why I didn’t get a phone call and her answered was, “ we knocked and no one answered” I feel like they aren’t going do much because our lease ends in March. She said she would talk to her boss to see if we can terminate our contract much earlier ... we shall see what happens. Just be cautious and move in at your own risk. The location is great. But that’s about it.

Just moved in and Im excited to see how well things will go! We worked with Mary, who was able to show us the apartment to which we ultimately moved. The price seems fair in comparison to other communities and offers nicer appliances, cabinets, and fixtures than cheaper locations, as well as more space. Mary and Joel (property manager) went above-and-beyond to get us moved in ASAP, including multiple phone calls and negotiations with the application review agency and they stayed past their office hours for us. I hope to continue to enjoy my stay here! :)

This is hands down the best and most well kept place I have ever lived in! The staff is so unbelievable sweet and so helpful! Maintenance people are super nice and helps even when they were off the clock. Mr. George, Mrs.Mylene Gartmann (Sunflower smile), and Mrs. Shelly are so helpful in every way possible. Honestly a great team working to give me a great time. Also the few events I have gone to are super nice and very well done. Service was great as are the people assigned to this complex. Could not have selected a better place for my permanent residence. I would strongly recommend this apartments and can guarantee that this would be a wonderful experience.

I like my apartment in Hyperion very much. The unit is clean newly renovated, sunny, bright, facing the beautiful trees and grasses. We have Gym, swimming pool and BBQ area. All the buildings in complex are spread out, very clean and quiet. What I like the most is the leasing office staff, they are so professional, polite and warmhearted, especially Mylene, she greeted everyone by names, it is so amazing she can remember everyones name. I am a new tenant here, when my lease end this year, will definitely renew it! Thank you very much, Leasing office staff! you are doing a fantastic job here!!

I have been Resident with Hyperion apartments for the past 4 1/2 to 5 years now And I have never had all of these problems as many people have experience in some of the reviews above... This is a quiet community great location And Reasonable rent for the location... Just like any business you do go through a management team until you pick the right one for the location... Me personally I had no problems with any of the management they brought in. However the management team they have in place now and the maintenance team they have in place are the best by far . I have had several things in my unit Fix that that being said I have been in a same unit since Ive lived here everything I called in in about Whether it was with the Old maintenance Are with the new maintenance crew whenever I need anything done it was done in a timely manner it took no more than 2 days most of the time it was done on the sameday...

I have been in this complex almost three years, I have never faced any of: delays in my maintenance or work orders, security issues or bad customer service...etc. The management staff is always very nice, cooperative, friendly and helpful with the me especially the current management (Lindsey, Mailene, and George), they are so nice and have a very high level of professional customer service. The unit itself is good and for me the location is great!! I like this place and I may leave it only when I want to buy a house.

I wish I was able to give NO stars! I lived at Hyperion for 4 years. I will say the maintenance team is great! Management, Corporate, and everything else at Hyperion is awful. I had a major leak coming down my ceiling in my kitchen and bedroom for 2 days before the property manager handled the issue. I was out of town on vacation when the leak happened, thankfully my mother was there (on vacation waiting for me to get home), to clean up the water that poured down into my apartment for 2 days! I called the answering service NUMEROUS times and no one ever responded to me. Another tenant had to go into the upstairs neighbors unit and turn off her hot water heater. My air conditioning unit went out 6 times before they decided to replace it. The grounds are not kept up, dead grass everywhere, no sprinklers work, AC units have wires sticking out of them. Dog poop all over the property. Electrical outlets are turned off in units while people reside there to save the property money on their bills. Yes, they turn off outlets in your apartment because the wiring was done to where outlets that are on an outside wall are wired to the propertys outside lights they the property pays for. I had to call 411 and file a complaint for them to be investigated for this.After 3 years of living there a new tenant moved in directly across from me. She used drugs in her apartment, had continuous domestic disputes with police visits several times. The tenant, her guests, and family would scream and yell at all hours of the night disturbing other tenants including myself. I talked to management about it and he, Joel, did nothing. I told Hyperion management I was fearful for my safety and scared. The tenant had pets that she did not notify management about and was never charged the proper fees which is against housing laws. After one night of police visiting this tenant, they took her into custody for suicide watch for yelling to police to shoot her at 2am during a weeknight. This is all going on right NEXT DOOR TO ME. The tenant returned a week later with several more people living in her apartment. Constant parties, drug use, illegal activities all while MANAGEMENT KNOWING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was finally forced to move after this tenant used drugs, put food in her stove, fell asleep, and almost burnt the apartment building down. Smoke alarms going off and yet she slept through the smoke and alarms. I was forced to call the fire department and they had to break down her door. After breaking down her door, smoke billowing out from her apartment, she stood there in shock, not knowing what was going on, alarms still going off! AGAIN, MANAGEMENT WAS TOLD AND NOTHING WAS DONE. Then management insinuated to this particular tenant that I had been complaining about her and then she threatened my safety. I was forced to move because of all of this. It cost me over $2000 in expenses to move that was completely unexpected but necessary for my safety. This tenant is still living at Hyperion while I had to move, a good resident, never paid rent late, or had any complaints or issues. I have called the Adara Corporate office NUMEROUS times with no response. Hyperion Apartments and Adara Properties do not care about the safety or well being of their tenants at all. On the front page of Adara Properties website is a mission statement stating how proud they are for providing their tenants a safe environment. Hyperion and Adara are negligent and allow tenants to reside in properties KNOWING illegal activities are going on.THIS IS MY EXPERIENCE AT HYPERION. Terrible place, terrible management, terrible corporate office. Its not a safe community, lots of crime, illegal drug use goes on, nothing is done for the safety of their tenants.

I have lived here almost two years in two different units and I cannot WAIT to be out. The second unit was supposed to have things fixed upon move in per managers promise. Evening before my move in (everything was boxed up at my old unit), they said it wasnt ready and to hold off another week. I had to move in then as planned and they said the repairs would be fixed that week. Nine months later, I am leaving since they broke the contract. I have made numerous attempts to get things fixed with promising words and no actions. The AC is old and my bill is about $200 in the summer for a small apartment. The ceiling started with a small crack and slight leak. It now pours when raining outside, messed up the carpet leaving a musty smell and discoloration, the ceiling is about to collapse, and the paint is messed up from the water running down the wall. The rate was a little under $1000 for this falling apart complex.

As soon as I realized Hyperion Apartments was owned by Adara, I knew I had made a huge mistake. A neighboring Adara property on Horizon Hil Blvd is clearly neglected. My experience at Hyperion included a series of maintenance failures. Upon arrival, I requested replacement of the aged refrigerator because the rust inside was flaking onto the shelves, which never happened... and speaking of rust ...I was out of hot water twice before the manager agreed to replace the rusted out water heater. The maintenance man was unable to make an adjustment to afford me more than 5-minutes of hot water, therefore i adjusted.The first time I ran the dishwasher it flooded the kitchen. I became my own plumber because the toilet backed up on a regular basis. Yet another example of management negligence is failing to lock the outside fuse box. Any person of adult height could easily access the breaker, which happened on one morning leaving the building without electricity. The emergency response from maintenance was I can be there in a few hours. I found the fuse box with a flashlight and threw the breaker myself. All of this and..... upon move-out, the management claims half my deposit for the carpet stains that were there when i moved in. The management/staff were consistently pleasant people subject to policy of the slum-lord, Adara Communities.

I lived in this complex for two years, it was not great but the management was somewhat accommodating . However, I had several issues with my unit the walls were cracking in all rooms but one, it looked horrible even after they sent someone to try to fill the cracks. The roof leaked when it rained, I had to cover my furniture so it would not be ruined. The counter tops were splatter painted, but not sealed properly therefore it started coning up and looked terrible.One month after I moved, I got a call from a collection agency wherein the management of Hyperion falsely accused me of damages I know I did not do and wanted me to pay over 200 dollars for the alleged damages.I would not recommend anyone call this place home.

Not a very decent place to live if you have a family. We complained hundred times but the guy who lived below us would gather 3-4 male friends and stand in the parking lot and consume alcohol. We have finally moved out. The maintenance guys are the rudest you can imagine. They would use foul language on the phone while working in your apartment. Take my advise and live in a better place.

I was about to move in to this place until I saw the actual unit! So, little background, they showed me a model unit & we finalized everything for an upgraded unit, I had 3 weeks to move in, so they said its gonna take few days to be ready & I can take a look at the actual unit in couple of weeks, meanwhile I paid the deposit to go forward with my application..We set a date & time to view the actual unit which was 5 days prior to move in date, on that day just 30mins before the apt I called them to see if all good & they acted like they didnt know anything about the apt! They kept my call hanging for 5-10 mind until Joel yhe mngr & recognized me and said they r having some delays and I cant come today rather I should come 3 days later ( 2 days prior to move in)! I understand still 5 fays left to move in so they r probably slow on fixing things but how unprofessional they r that they set an appointment & dont care about letting me know that they cant make it!So fast forward, I call them again om monday, when Joel told me it will be ready to view, a rude lady takes the phone (it wasnt Veronica, all my prior communication was with Veronica & she was nice) & she says its not ready yet & I can come on the move in day to view the apt.. I said this is the 3rd time u gave the date/time & backing out and she was like I should have some commonsense & these things take time! I didnt want to argue with her, I asked for Joel & she said he isnt there but she will leave a note for Joel to call me back.. Joel calls me 4 hours later, be didnt have any idea I called them earlier (clearly she didnt leave any note) & he said I cant come today, rather I should go next day, 1 day prior to move in..By that time I was pretty sure Im not gonna move in to this apt just bcoz of their unprofessionalism! But thought if I like the apt Ill re-think mu decision! So I said Ill see that unit on the moving date & will sign my lease afterwards..So I go there at 5PM on the moving date (which was set 3 wks ago), Veronica takes me to the unit & there were 3 people working their as out trying to make that place liveable! Tge unit was supposed ro be an upgraded unit but it looked like I was in a 90s apt with all 90s stuffs! I couldnt even go to the balcony! That was all for me & I left..So they look decent from outside but once u go inside they r just horrible! & theres nothing to say for managements unprofessionalism!& btw, I was in talk with few of the realtors for some personal reasons & all of them said dont move in there! & also I setup a new CPS acnt for this where CPS asked for a deposit of $175 whereas in my current complex CPS requires a deposit of $50!! (Im new ro SAT)

Terrible terrible terrible!!!! Maintenance issues all the time. I had a leak in my hall closet & we called numerous times for them to check it out & it took them a week. They finally fixed it & now the closest has mold. office sucks they never know what they are doing & there is always different people working in there. Worst 8 months ! Would not recommend to any one ! Oh & when it rain the water leaks from the roof called & no one even came by to look at it.

There was an infestation of roaches in my apartment. I reported it and management did not help with anything at all until I moved out.

Do not waste your time or money on these small overpriced old apartments they have bugs ants roaches flies rats & mosquitos in them & rattle snakes on the property they have a small old stove thats half the size of a regular stove & a old refrigerator in them the stove & refrigerator is from the 1960s they are so old that they dont even make them no more the management & staff is terrible they can never keep the same management & staff they are always changing management & staff there its a guaranteed waste of time to even go look inside these small old overpriced apartments I would give a -0 star rating but the minimum star rating is 1 star & thats too high of a rating -0 star rating is the correct rating
