Went in to inquire about a 1 bedroom apt, the girls in there were friendly. I was handed a brochure along with a tenant screening paper. On the paper it had agreeable points as far as how much income you need to make or credit has to be good blah blah, but I noticed there was a part on the paper that mentioned about how they’re not gonna accept a tenant that has a lot of crazy piercings or lots of tattoos or body modifications, no “low-rider jeans” meaning no sagging pants, and how your car can’t have rusted paint, they check registration tags and your car insurance?? I asked the leasing agent if them screening the tenants based off their looks is a form of discrimination and she seemed kind of shocked that I even asked that and said no. I have never heard of such thing where based off the way you look, you will get a denial on your apartment application. Also they’re over priced. Almost 1,200 for a “classic” floor plan. Which basically means outdated.
Update!03/2019–We just renewed our lease for another 14 months. We’re on the third floor in an upgraded unit with a spacious floor plan and we love our apartment. We’ve had no issues with our neighbors or amenities- in fact they’ve upgraded the pool and BBQ area since we moved in, the grounds are well kept and clean, they regularly pressure clean the buildings and stairwells. The maintenance is top notch- very quick to respond to online requests, sometimes even the same day I write it up, and the whole maintenance team is very friendly. Other dog owners living here could be more courteous about cleaning up after their pets- they literally provide free bags around the whole complex! But that seems to be an issue throughout SA and not exclusive to Sedona Ranch. We’re unsure how long we’ll live here so buying just isn’t in the cards, our particular unit is very quiet and large and feels like renting a house for a few hundred less than the rentable houses go for in this zip code. We’re very happy living here.05/2018–Our family just moved in here a few weeks ago and so far we couldn’t be happier! We love our new apt, it’s big and open and bright and we really like the upgraded unit we went with. The complex is overall pretty and quiet, the neighbors are all super friendly, I feel safe walking to and from work and to the amenities around the property (the pool area is awesome-feels like being at a resort) and the best part is the location- everything we like to do and places we like to eat are sooo close and some are even within walking distance.
I moved here in 2001 when I was a little boy. Lived in #1315 and went to omar nelson BradleyI love this place and I like to see it when I pass by or I am passing through San Antonio.
The apartment community itself is old and you can tell. The apartments are decent size but there are years of wear in them (which they make you responsible). The management staff was nice but all of them consistently seemed clueless. In my 13 months there anytime I asked questions they never knew the answers and would give me different answers each time. The parking is AWFUL! There are no spots available and I often I had to park on the opposite side of the complex of my apartment. Their solution to this was to offer you reserved parking or covered parking (all of which were already taken so this wasnt a solution at all). When I moved out I was told 3 different things regarding move out instructions. I was made to sign a copy of a vacate notice that I was never given a copy of after asking 5 separate times and charged 4 different fees none of which were brought to my attention. It doesnt matter what you do, you WILL NOT GET YOUR DEPOSIT BACK! They use their office disorganization to get away with charging you a bunch of fees. You will also have to pay $40+ each month as a processing fee for their online payment system. When I moved in it was cheap for the amount of space and convenient location, however at the current rate IT IS NOT WORTH IT!!
I lived at Sedona Ranch for a year. All around the apartments are cockroaches, at night I couldn’t walk out of my apartment without seeing one or one trying to crawl into my apartment. Packages get stolen if left on front porch. There was a murder suicide committed at Sedona ranch as well as a murder at their sister complex (the complexes are connected). The gates were broken for an entire year. The mailboxes were broken into several times due to the broken gate. Also - homeless would wander the complex due to the broken gates. Water heaters etc all broke around same time for a lot of tenants. They don’t require you to have renters insurance but make sure you get it. Dog park is sad, no grass and turns into a mud pit. The pictures online of the dog park are photoshopped, they even photoshopped the dogs into the picture. The only good thing that I can say is that I was returned a portion of my security deposit upon moving out since I hired a cleaning company to clean the apartment.
The staff don’t show great initiative with getting back or touching base with their tenants. It’s a shame because the location is nice, but overall my experience has been very disappointing.
Was fine while living there but the reviews are correct. But beware; and I cant say this enough, DO NOT plan on getting your deposit back. You just simply wont. No mater how clean you leave the place the WILL find multiple things wrong with your place. My deposit was $500 and I paid to have the place professionally clean before I moved out, including carpets. When I got the bill after move out they charge me $280 for air duct cleaning and another $275 for painting. Resulting in ME OWING THEM MONEY. The whole thing is so ridiculous its laughable. DO NOT look at some of these bogus 5 star reviews that simple state Love living here. Those are people who havent moved out or the staff making self reviews. Place is bush league.....the one exception is Kaitlyn in the front office. Shes awesome. You deserve better Kaitlyn, hit me up if you ever want a job with a reputable company that doesnt rip people off. You are better than they are. :)
They treat you like children, theyre very strict for no reason. They leave notes on your door a week after any holiday decorations are left up for more than a couple days. Im not exaggerating at all. The places look decent enough but theyre horribly insulated and whoever they got to do the painting and carpentry should find another job. The lack of insulation kills out electric bill and our rent is ridiculous for the space we have $1600 is about $1000 more than Id pay to deal with it. Our lease has months on it but you better believe were out asap.
I was interested in these apartments but my husky unfortunately doesnt make the cut. Regardless, the woman who answered was so polite and helpful in regards to my questions pertaining to the restricted breed list. Its rare to speak with someone who has such great phone etiquette.
Good location, but my apartment had silverfish in it. Wasnt satisfied with the leasing office administration. I was misinformed when I moved in that the garage was being painted and I had to clean spider webs. Didnt get my security deposit back and was charged on top of it, even though I left the apartment in a good condition.
Mismanaged and the staff is rude.
Avoid at all costs. I was told my deposit was going to be $200 dollars, the day I was moving in they told me it would be $700 and they couldnt do anything about it. Dont even think you will get your deposit back at all. Expect to pay $30+ dollars extra a month on your rent just to use their online paying system on their website. The water they use for the outdoors is shared among all residents. Dont even think of calling the cops in or they might put fees on you to make up for the damage their reputation received for having them onsite. Also need to pay extra a month to park your vehicle under a roof covered parking spot.(Update: I called the leasing office back after they replied to this comment and all they could tell me was Were sorry for the inconvenience well work better on that. How is that delivering the finest service? All they can say is sorry and do nothing for their residents.)
I lived in Sedona Ranch for a year and a bit. My family finally was able to move out and get a home of our own. I called to have the electricity turned on in my new house, but was under the impression the apartment complex had to take over the apartment account upon me moving out. A month after moving out, I got a $85.89 bill for the electricity in my old apartment. The time period covered was the month after I had moved out. I called CPS energy and they would not help me with anything, because I did not make a separate phone call to turn off my electricity. I paid the bill to ensure it did not default in my name and I called Sedona Ranch. They said it was not their responsibility to turn off the electricity, even though they told me they would turn off the breakers after I moved out. Sedona Ranch knows the day I moved out, they know the days the bill is for, but they will not reimburse me for the time they were using electricity in my name. Maybe I should have called CPS energy (again) to ensure the electricity was turned off, but the fact that the property manager (Jennifer Bailey) knows that I did not live there and absolutely refuses to refund my money is extremely unprofessional and just plain bad business. If my apartment was on the second or third floor, they probably would have turned the breakers off and it would not be an issue now. However, my apartment was on the first floor and I have seen personally with my own two eyes the maintenance men use first floor apartments for storage. Stay far far away.
Loved my apartment! Great location, great pool, and great outdoor space. Super friendly residents and leasing staff.
Mold in my AC ducts, was never reimbursed for expenses the manager told me I would be reimbursed for, yet I received a small bill for when I moved out even though the place was spotless. Got a letter they would take legal action if I didnt pay, I sent a check along with a copy of the bill they were supposed to reimburse me for but along witg a letter explaining the situation, I was never paid or contacted. It is impossible to speak on the phone with anyone above the property manager because no phone numbers can be found and they are not given out. The property manager was rarely on site and I would have to miss work to talk to her, and like I said most of the time she was not there. 2 attempts were made to steal my vehicle. Without a kill switch it would be gone. Both times it was very expensive and time consuming to repair and zero help, concern, or support was given by the property manager. I had also witnessed other vehicle theft attempts as well as theft. I had high hopes when I moved in even though I had read similar reviews online but thought it wouldnt happen to me. It ended up being one of the worst decisions of my life and Im still paying for that decision today.
Love the way the apartments are laid out my brother has a nice 1-bedroom there and the garage
Management and maintenance staff have always been helpful and courteous. I do agree with other comments regarding gate always being broken and the occasional loud tenants, but what place doesnt have that? Overall, a pretty good place to live. No real complaints
The is my beautiful princess Bella in the picture this is my favorite places to shopping food the best service and praises
I was very pleased with the service we received with Lacey. She was very kind, and courteous towards us while we were apartment hunting, and was sure to answer all questions we had.The property seemed very well kept and eye-appealing.Thanks Lacey for all your help!
RUN,RUN,RUN.. DONT RENT HERE !!!! under new management and they will treat you like they are your parents. We asked for something to get fixed never happened asked a second time given and excuse they was given a letter of lease violation with a vague outline of what i may have done wrong? Sedona Ranch Management you lost my renewal GFYS ;-0
Theres a reason most of the ratings are 1 star. Poor management and rude office staff are the start. 13 phone calls in 30mins and still not 1 was answered. People pay over a thousand dollars to live here and they cant even pick up the phone in the office. Not to mention there was a shortage of parking so they go and make more reserved spots instead of making more free spots. Makes sense right? They are all about the money and not the guests paying the money.
I honestly dont understand why this place has such bad reviews. I have lived at these apartments for 2 years and just renewed for another year. Ive had nothing but a great experience living here. Anytime I had an issue with a maintenance need, it was taken care of quickly and with little hassle. The maintenance workers are very friendly and professional. The office staff has always been very helpful with any questions Ive had or when Ive needed to pick up a package. There many more reasons why Ive enjoyed living here but these were the top. Id recommend this place to my family.
DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!! I stayed away from writing a bad review of this apartment complex because they really tried to fix the problem. First, they rented me a roach infested apartment, the stuff nightmares are made of. I give them credit for trying to fix the problem but eventually I had to move to another building. All was fine until I moved out. I put a deposit down, like I’m supposed to. I paid my rent on time, like I’m supposed to. I gave sufficient notice when leaving, like I’m supposed to. Then months later, I received a bill for cleaning and painting. These are all part of renting apartments, it is fixed in the cost of rent and deposits. There was no damage to the apartment, only minor scuffs on the walls, normal wear and tear from living. There were no holes, no broken cabinets, no broken windows or doors. So if you decide to move in here, just be prepared to lose your deposit and be held ransom for extra cleaning charges and painting.
Very friendly and accommodating staff.
Do not rent from this place if you have a pet. What they do at the end of your lease is they lift the carpet to see if there are any pet stains. The problem with that procedure is those stains could be coffee, soda or soup. They will charge you to replace the carpet. Also, if you use screws to hang pictures or sensors, they will charge you to paint. If you do rent, please take pictures of the smallest imperfections because if you dont they will hold you liable for something like thumb tacks in the wall. No imperfection is too small for this place. However, my advice is to find out who the parent company is and dont rent from them anywhere.
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE! Horribly managed complex! Unethical ownership. Upon move-out, they charged me for a word which had been spray painted on fhe concrete. I had a photo of the floor which I took the day I moved in - clearly showing the word on the concrete. They are charging me anyway. DO NOT TRUST these unethical, unprofessional, immature crooks!
We lived in Sedona Ranch for 9 months. During that time, we had to have several repairs done due to mold issues. It was still unresolved when we moved. There were a number of other repairs for other issues, including a new AC unit. The grounds are less than desirable. Despite stating in the lease that owners must pick up after their pets, very few actually clean up. The grassy areas are completely littered with dog feces. There are also a number of stray cats that live on the property and contribute to the uncleanliness. The materials used in construction are builder basic - nothing special and quite cheap. The community bills itself as gated, however, the gates are broken more often than not and remain open the majority of the day.The staff was very friendly during the process of getting us to sign a lease. It stops once youve moved in. The property manager is rude and unhelpful. There is a lack of communication among staff and a high rate of turnover. I have lived in many apartment communities over the past 20 years and this is by far the most poorly managed one Ive had dealings with. I do not encourage anyone to rent an apartment here
Doesn’t deserve a star. Overpriced. Horrible management. They don’t care about you they just want your money and will blame you for everything. Their maintenance destroyed our floor and my furniture and they never once contacted me again about reparations. DO NOT MOVE HERE
One word, pompous
If I could this place ZERO stars, I would! This place is horrible starting from Managment all the way down. 3weeks before we are to vacate they want to give me a violation for something that we have had up for 3 YEARS on our balcony. This place is NOT worth the amount of money that I pay for a month. Your better off renting a house or even buying one for the cost that this place asks for. Jennifer Bailey is a coward who has yet to answer any of my calls and every time I go to talk to her she somehow never seems to be around. I wouldnt waste my money or time here if I were you. I had to suck it up until I was able to afford to buy a house, and by the grace of God we did. RUN, turn around and RUN for your lives and dont sign anything with these people!
Noisy poorly built, rude and deceptive staff, mold issues! Cleaned apt spotless when I left, two months later I get a tiny portion of my deposit back with no explanation at all. Mgr there went out of her way to make sure I was not able to walk it with her - said two weeks to schedule...really? I called to ask why my deposit check was so low, they said you have to call our account resolution specialist who I doubt will ever return my call.
No parking ever available for residents or visitors. Everything is extra a month: granite countertops, washer and dryer connection, stainless steel appliances.... Pets have to pay rent each month.
Sedona Ranch is definitely the best apartment complex I have experienced. After searching through about 30 different apartment complexes all around the same area I realized Sedona Ranch was the best place to move to. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. The complex is beautiful, along with very nice apartments. The ammenities are a major bonus with access to not only Sedonas ammenities, but The Estates ammenities as well. Great prices with a lot of variety of apartment sizes, and the best location. Your missing out if your not looking into this property.
If there was an option for ZERO stars i would choose it. Management is horrible. Manager is never in and does nothing to help. They are nice until they convince you to move in and then the bad news begins. DONT MOVE HERE
The worst rental experience I have ever had. The management and maintenance is the lowest quality of any rental property in which I have done business. There was a constant mold problem throughout the unit that was never addressed despite several notifications. The property manager is by far the worst I have ever experienced. I am military and tend to move around a lot and with this moving have had many rental properties. This was a nightmare from the beginning. I would highly advise anyone looking for a rental to look for something in another location. The Estates at Northwoods is under the same management so cant be any better.
Wonderful staff, great neighbors, close to shopping, entertainment, and the best HEB in town. Love this place!
No parking. 3 year waiting list on garages only to find they throw out the list once a week.Top it off maintenance has 6 garages and 4 are their club house. They threaten to tow if your car doesnt move in 48hrs.God forbid I go on a week vacation only to return and find my car gone leaving me unable to get to work.Come to find out 6 months they been over charging me claiming I never signed a lease, when I confronted them they ridiculed me and said that stuff never happens.. I ended up finding a copy of the lease in my email and they took two weeks to resolve issue leaving me to do the run around for answers.People claim they will charge for everything I dont know if I will get my deposit back.
I really wish I could give Sedona Ranch less than 1 star. Run for your life with this place and plan on being screwed on the front end and back regardless of how hard you try to play by the book. Half the time you couldnt use the amenities (keys didnt work), the staff is snotty (dont care about the remnants) and theyll take your deposit whether you clean and do everything on the list. Theyll stick it to you on the water bill (twice), hit you for a painting bill, even though we come into a terribly painted and dirty appartment. Etc.. Seriously. Think twice. Read the other reviews this place is a joke and Im sorry for wasting 6 months of my life there.
My son ordered a book for school which was sent via FEDEX. He was waiting for 3 weeks for this book, he called the company he ordered it from and was told it was sent. We called repeatedly at the office to see if they have it and was told repeatedly that they dont. He ended up dropping this class because of this. I came to the office to pick it up after more than 3 weeks had passed by, I had the tracking number and the name of the person who signed for it. They still keep on saying they dont have it. When I insisted that they find it, they miraculously found it. A Ms. Williams crossed out our apartment number for whatever reason and put in a different apartment number on it without any explanation. No apologies whatsoever on their mistake, what a bunch of bullshit.
This place doesnt deserve any stars actually...the office staff sucks and are a bunch of young dumb skanky drunks who like to drink on the job..I have pics. They over charge for these ghetto apartments, lie that theres security and theres not everyones cars get broken into and have their wheels stolen not to mention the crime scene unit is here once month. WORST place ever to live!!
NICE APARTMENTS.. MY FRIEND LIVES THERE.. AND HE LIKES IT .
Overall good apartment to live at, but they have many areas they can improve in.
Terrible place to live. The management looks for every way possible to squeeze every cent out of you. Example: they will tow YOUR car if someone parks in YOUR space and you are forced to park in someone elses just to put groceries away. Came back to my car after groceries were put away to move out of that spot and my car was gone. I was inside 15 mins. But the people who parked in mine were there all night. Also Zero breaks on late payments. I was late on one payment in 3 years and they didn’t waive the fee. Also My I had two cars broken into while living there. First time they stole the front gate remote and the office made me buy a new one for $50. So yea that leads to my next point...zero security on premises. Also I lived there for 3 years and when I went to turn in my final payment they said oh btw we forgot to charge you for a pet deposit 3 years ago you will need to pay that now. No payment options. Just give us our money now. Also cats roam all over the complex tearing plants and other things up on your balcony. That gets annoying really fast. Also Rent goes up $150 every year with no reasonable explanation. Only good things I can say is the maintenance is pretty good. They usually fix the problem same day or next day at the latest. And the location is really nice. But I would never ever rent there again. Terrible experience.Update:8/27/18- I now have lived in my home for 4 years and today they sent me a letter stating I owe them $200 from my move out 4 years ago. I scheduled and did a walk through with the manager when we moved out. She gave us final balance and we paid it. Well today letter says we never paid it. Luckily I have my paperwork still. Wish I could sue them for being complete idiots. Please don’t support this apartment complex. Move anywhere else. You will be much happier.
Good place live, nice pool and the office staff are very nice ladys. Note the do not have a office for the property but you can call the one next door to help you.
This place is nice from outside and inside, there are no parkings management is horrible... Maintenance and management have entered my apartment without my consent various times... When I called to ask why they gave me runaround and said they were going to research it and get back to me and never got back to me... The courtesy officer is a retard, he had my vehicle towed because I was two inches over on the handicap parking only because someone else was two inches over on my parking.... Then the apartment complex just said Im sorry that happened to you while I had to pay the tow company. The management team is rude, unhelpful, inexperienced, and quite frankly good for nothing... DO NOT RENT HERE!!! Me and my wife cant wait till we move into our house...
This place is NO PLACE TO LIVE. You pay an arm and a leg to live here and no one knows what is going on. They screwed me on three leases, told me that the washer and dryer I bought was theres and even screwed me on my last month there. As anyone else I am a busy person so I was not exactly sure when my lease was up. I specifically asked to avoid paying month to month. Well needless to say they screwed me and blamed it on transfer of management. So i counghed up 1,100.00 just to because they screwed up, and I didnt want a bad record for rent payments. DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!!! UNLESS- you want to live with all the scum....
When I found this place I was so exiceted the price seem resonable for the area and it was accessible to 281 and 1604, minutes from a bunch of places. However, in the pass year the place has become I place where I would not live in. Management ignores request and sometimes they are plain rude, plus they nickle and dime you for repairs (maintenance). Eventhough, the place seems nice I would suggest to keep looking. Is not worth the drama.
Worst Apartments to live in San Antonio. They charge you for each and everything from the begging month, and they dont even leave you after you leave they charge the most in the name of cleaning and damages. The gates doesnt work properly. if you dont get any amenities and you ask them, they say its our wish to provide or not as it is an amenity. Definetly not recommended. Be careful if you have kids, some times the light holders fall.
Spoke personally with Cindy, Property Manager there regarding complaints we have received as a member of the SASS and ADLF today and in short, she was uncooperative, arrogant, and callous regarding dying cats and kittens falling off their roof, and hung up on me.Despite having ready and willing rescuers available from the renowned Wildlife Rescue & Rehab center out of Kendalia, she chose to hang up on me and not engage in any attempt to reseolve the problem. This is not a one time incident from what residents have said., Other residents said she has been the same way for over a year on this subject, refusing to take proactive nor corrective management actions in any professional manner. I am a Disabled Veteran an she represented herself and her parent company as poorly and as unprofessionally in my opinion as any I have ever, ever encountered! If this is how she treated me, and the animals were insignificant, and other residents are saying tjis is consistent bavior, there is a tremendous problem.
Very nice place!
Love living here.
They try to screw everyone over. Make sure you have a lawyer when you move out or they will try to fleece you for as much as they can.
They are liars and misleading. They make a deal with you by emails, but when go to them, things will change.stay away.
WORST WORST APT I HAVE RENTED IN 15 YEARS..YES IT IS BEAUTIFUL, BUT MANAGEMENT IS A JOKE AND THEY COULD CARE LESS AND THEY CHARGE AND CHARGE AND CHARGE YOU FOR EVERYTHING....EVEN RE-PAINTING THE BATH TUBHORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE --WE SHOULD ALL DO A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT ON THEM THEY ARE OWNED BY 7 LAWYERS IN CALIFORNIA --SO THEY THINK THEY ARE UNTOUCHABLE AND CAN SCREW EVERYONE LIFE AND CREDIT UP FOR NOTHING JUST BECAUSE THEY CAN AND NO ONE FIGHTS THEM BACK !!!!!!BEWARE !!!!!!
Horrible management, great location thought
Bad costumer service
Visiting family
BEAUTIFUL clean apartments!!!!!
