I have been coming to this nail salon for many years and every time I get serviced, not once have I left disappointed in them. They are very professional and very friendly along with being proficient in keeping their business clean. This nail salon in my eyes, is the best nail salon here in Rochester, NY. 1000000/10 would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a manicure, pedicure, waxing, and/or acrylics.

Gem Nails is friendly, clean, economical and the staff is amazing. I have never had an issue with a manicure or a pedicure. You dont need to be afraid of this salon they are top notch.

This is the worst manicure I’ve ever had. I made an appointment via phone the day prior for two friends and I to get mani-pedis. I was immediately told that they could take us, no questions asked. However when we arrived, the place was packed and one friend waited fifteen minutes to be served and another 25 minutes. The woman who did my nails was sweet and gentle; however I could have done them myself for ten times better quality. She barely touched my cuticles and left gaps in the corners. I had to continuously ask her to fill in a corner or side of the nail, and the end result was still sloppy. Also, she was ready to apply the top coat and I had to stop her because there were parts of my nail that were not completely covered by the gel polish (sheer in some areas). Even with saying all that, my nails were horrendous! Uneven and sloppy. I can’t imagine what they would look like if I hadn’t said something. When she finished they felt sticky. It wasn’t until another employee overheard me tell a friend this and they sprayed something on my nails (however they completely ignored the part where I told my friend it was the worst manicure I’ve ever had).One of my friends had a regular manicure, no gel, and one of her nails chipped with an hour of the appointment - when were sitting at dinner- no hard labor or anything.Needless to say we won’t be going there again. I’m extremely disappointed and cannot believe I paid $57.60 for a very crummy manicure and a mediocre pedicure (barely any shine). I have no idea how this place has such good ratings

I use to go to Gem Nails when I lived in Henrietta & loved them! Since I moved, I’ve been trying to find a new nail shop & I haven’t had any luck so from now on, I will be traveling from Greece to Gem Nails! It’s 100% worth it!

I went to Gem Nails for the first time the other day because they offered dip powder manicures. I give 1 star for availability (walk in welcome), 1 star for price (which should have been an indicator), and 1 star for friendliness of the staff. That’s about where it ends and I think even that’s generous, but it’s difficult for me to go as far as give a 2.This was the first time I’ve ever had my current dip powder nails removed using a dremel. I figured he knew was he was doing but a number of the tops of my nails later that night were throbbing and sore, and I have a feeling that’s why. He also trimmed my nails with the dremel... When it came to the actual dip powder, it was also the first time the technician did not DIP my nails in the powder. Instead he used the brush, dipped it into a liquid, and then into the dip powder. It reminded me of when I used to get acrylic nails done, same method. Overall, it was the strangest dip powder experience I have had and I would have been perfectly fine with it if they had come out quality. However, there is variance within the lengths of my nails, some edges are more square than others, some edges are sharp and jagged, and application of the powder is inconsistent. Overall, I was very disappointed with the quality I received at Gem Nails.

Absolutely love this place. Small, cozy, talented and SO accommodating. I dont go as often as I wish I could,but they always remember me and ask me how Im doing.

Been going to gem nails for 22 years now, I love Helen & But, I wont go anywhere else!

I like the plastic covers over the pedicure tub which they replace after each use. That is much more sanitary than just spraying the tub with sanitizer.Their pricing is very reasonable. I come here for pink and white fill. The end result is similar to a French manicure. However, instead of enamel paint, they use white and pink acrylic powder dipped in a solvent.Staff is friendly, and the owners are around most of the time.

I will never go to another salon than this one. They do my nails perfectly every time and I have never once gone home unsatisfied. They give you exactly what you want and you will always leave happy. There was one woman who did my nails for my prom and she did them absolutely amazing but I dont see her so much anymore. Now, the owner does them and he does them really good but not as good as her. But 10/10 would recommend to anyone. Really amazing nail salon.

I have been to MANY nail salons over the years for acrylics and find Gem Nails to do a fantastic job! I dont know his name, but I believe hes the owner, has been doing my nails for the last few visits (I request him each time) and he took my old set of nails from a previous salon and made them look fantastic! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This isn’t my “go to spot” but I had time to kill in between appointments in the area so I thought I’d stop in. I’m not very pleased with the quality of my gel manicure. The woman was super nice but her work wasn’t very good. The cost was $25 and it only took her 15 minutes. She did not shape my nails or tend to my cuticles. You can see through the polish. I shaped them myself at home just to get through the weekend. I’ll make an appointment to my usual spot and get them redone. You get what you pay for I guess.

My daughter took me there to get my first pedicure omg they made my feet feel so good I got spoiled on my first visit now I take myself all the time ----if you want to show some one how special they are take them there for a pedicure----the people that work there are so friendly --- they have me as a customer for the eternity

One of the worse experiences ever.. Staff is friendly but the work is at best beginner. Save your money and time. And dont ever agree to the males to do your nails. Never cut the cuticles, totally went over board with nail polish, hands where shaking.
