Ive been coming here for over a year and every time Ive left so happy! I love the atmosphere and the care put in by the ladies here.

I have been going to 425 since it first opened. Not only that the owner has been doing my nails now for 15 years . When you get your nails done here it will always be a wonderful experience and your nail will come out looking fabulous. I will never go anywhere else . If you go anywhere else you are settling. I have traveled from N.C to get my nails done. Its definitely worth it.

I found this online and after reading the reviews and finding out that it was black owned, it peaked my interest. My daughter took me there as a Mother’s Day present and it was absolutely awesome! They do appointments only so you have to book in advance. However, that gives them the opportunity to give you the attention needed and not have to rush off to another customer. It’s small and intimate and was very enjoyable.

Brittany was very professional and did an amazing pedicure! This was my first time at the 425 nail bar and I highly recommend!

Just had my second visit with Rayge. I love this place and she is super creative, does an amazing job. I tried a few other nail salons in RIC and theres no comparison. If you want gorgeous nails, visit 425! Not a great photo, but my space nails today kick butt!!

They are very professional and super friendly! They were kind enough to accommodate me the same day. I have never been so happy with the way my nails look, I had extremely short nails looked terrible and every time I go to a nail salon around Richmond they end up looking terrible and feeling terrible. Teresa made my nails look so natural and it doesn’t even feel I have acrylic and tips. I have gotten so many compliments. The prices are very reasonable it’s the same as Getting them done else where but they use high quality products and do a better job honestly.

This place is amazing. I love the chill atmosphere and the people are super nice and I love that the pedicure chairs are regular armchairs because those big pedicure chairs seriously hurt my back. These folks have my business for life!

I began coming here about a year ago and fell in LOVE! The atmosphere is friendly, personable, yet still professional! The entire staff knows their regular clients by name. Not just their own clients but all clients. You are greeted immediately. My nail tech, Keta J., has her way of taking my ideas and magnifying them. Everything we create is unique, one of a kind! The quality is the best EVER and I have been doing this for 23 years or longer! In my mind Im somewhat of a nail connoisseur! The pricing is reasonable and the membership packages offered are AWESOME!!!! Dont forget the REWARDS program! What other nail salon can you earn points to obtain coupons for services or retail items rendered? Loved this place. Very chic decor, but down home attitude. They helped me get my mother in and out, wheelchair and all. Kind and patient, reasonable prices, great conversation. My nails look a thousand times better and Im relaxed after a long week. Ill be back!

The receptionist whom I had the misfortune of encountering, one who goes by the name of ‘Alfonso’ was abhorrently uncouth and rude and his appearance seemed quite unkempt and unhygienic...which is quite bothersome considering that the business in question is a nail salon..nail technicians and their staff no matter how lowly the position should always be well groomed and have an appearance of cleanliness. This ‘Alfonso’ character practically ignored me as i was asking questions pertaining to my credit card being put on file to hold the appointment. He was rolling his neck and rolling his eyes the entire encounter which seemed to be odd behavior coming from a male. I wanted to contact the manager to see if something could be worked out wherein I wouldn’t be booking the appointment with the receptionist directly so that it wouldn’t have to come to me leaving a bad review but he and the manager seemed to be giving me the run around...perhaps they do not value customer satisfaction, henceforth I will be taking my business to their competitors and will advise my friends and loved ones never to patronize this place of business. The customer service on the part of the receptionist and Manager was horrendous. If I could give them zero stars I would. I would advise prospective customers to not waste your time or money for bad, uncouth service.

Tamika here is so sweet and did a fabulous job. Made sure I was happy with the shape and the craftsmanship every step of the way. My only complaint is that it’s $45 for dip, which is fine, but even for returning customers it’s an additional $10 to have them soaked off...which entails sticking your entire hand in a bag of acetone and being told to swish your nails around until the polish is gone..... why are you charging return customers for this, especially if there is no work involved in your part? Literally more than I paid in Downtown DC for less service and $20 more than everywhere in town....Just bothered me. I’m new to the area and will be trying a few places as a result (can’t stand feeling nickeled and dimed), but overall had to share that I had a good experience here and won’t be shy to come back if I don’t find equal craftsmanship!

I went to 425 nails for the first time last week. I havent had my nails done in years so I was a little weary walking in, but quickly changed my mind. Teresa did my nails and held conversation with me despite listening to her own music, which I highly appreciate. She took her time unlike a lot of nail places and even asked if I wanted to take the tools home with me obviously after she used them. Amazing atmosphere and honestly, I felt so great when she took pictures of my nails. I have just started an addiction and they definitely have a new regular! I recommend them to everyone who asks me about my nails. I dont see how this place has anything less than 5 stars!

My favorite nail salon to get my nails done. The ladies are wonderful and have turned out some amazing examples of nail art. The atmosphere is laid back and the interior has a luxe contemporary feel. I highly recommend this salon.

I have no idea why this place has five stars. Walking into the place seems very professional, but in the back... Oh no. I asked for a simple French tip pedicure and it was very sloppy. Majority of the nail technicians have a bad attitude, and she blamed the sloppiness on the shape of my toes. She said I cut them too short. Hmm..then how come other people can NEATLY french tip my toes regardless of my toe nail shape? Also, my friend went to get her nails done with gel polish and it came out sloppy as well. They were too focused on quantity of customers than quality of nails. This is the worst nail place Ive ever been to. I am not coming back and I dont recommend this place to anyone.

They messed up our nails and then when we tried to get them fixed they kept pushing out the date when we could come in to get them fixed. The quality is terrible and service is highly unprofessional. Save your money and take your business elsewhere.Edit: This review was posted on behalf of a friend so the issue was sincere nonetheless.

My 1st experience at the Nail bar was great! I went in for a pedicure which was done by a lady named Candace. She was so nice and took her time. I highly recommend this nail salon and I will be returning ☺

I booked an appointment at 425 Nail Bar because i needed new shellac, and its decently close to my office. I am SO glad I did.The space is immaculate and well decorated. The prices are more than fair, and the selection of colors is spot on.That said, the absolute highlight for me is the staff. They are welcoming, talented, funny, and delightful. If you are even thinking about getting your nails done in the downtown/VCU vicinity, dont go anywhere else! I cant wait to go back.

Let me preface this with the fact that I have very tickly feet. The thought of someone touching them makes me giggle. During the visit it was all I could do to contain myself from accidently kicking the pedicurist. This was until the lady sitting next to her shared a little insight on how to treat my feet without tickling them and from that point on my spasms were halved at least. Any salon with knowledge so worthwhile being passed and taught is worth my patronage. Super friendly place and great place to enjoy an anniversary with a couples pedi.

I will not be getting my nails done here ever again. The workmanship was not good at all. I got a gel set with enhancements and they began to fall off on the 3rd day. For 70 bucks they should have lasted longer. Sorry but not acceptable and I will not support this shop again. Thank u but no thanks!

Came in as a walk in to get a pedicure done, and waited about 15 mins. Which is not bad, then a white lady comes in as a walk in, and they ask her wayyy different questions. The lady came in and asked for a a gel pedicure, and they didn’t tell her the pricing, but when it came to me she said “Just letting you know it’s $55, are you sure you’d still like it”. Like uhhh yes women. They are all women of color and so am I, but to treat someone differently is not okay and it bothered the mess out of me.

The Nail techs were friendly and helpful, however, I got a gel manicure went to get my hair cut, and my polish was already chipped, and so was my mothers. We didnt have time to get them to fix it as we were going out of the country.

Nails came out pretty but overbooked staff with no sense of time. Won’t be returning. Lady used nail forms on my stubby nail and because the acrylic was so thin over my actual skin, as there’s no nail there to build on, it snapped off within two days.

Showed up for my appointment and after sitting there for 10 minutes, started developing a headache because the fumes were so bad. When I said I needed to leave, was told I would be charged a 50% service fee for a last minute cancelling it was their policy. Horrible customer service. Do NOT go to this place.
