This was my 1st time and Im definitely in love with my new set! Tin is officially my new nail technician! His work and attention to detail are impeccable! His level of expertise, customer service and promptness made my visit the best experience! Def make an appointment because hes currently the only nail tech at his establishment. Quaint and clean. Poor quality - I’m so disappointed. I tried to make sure I explained clearly what I wanted. Almost $100 later my nails look like I did them at home :(. There are bubbles and nicks in the polish - none of them are smooth. The tech seemed like she was trying so I didn’t want to be rude - but I really feel like I wasted my money. I won’t be back to this place.

I dont enjoy leaving negative reviews. But. If my experience dips below zero then I must.First, this place is SUPER small, its not great in terms of ambiance either. Not a deal breaker just an observation.My appointment, which is not required, was for 3p. I arrived at 2:15p ish thinking as a walk-in I could be done sooner. Nope, waited but not beyond my scheduled appointment. They are super busy and short staffed. Not a deal breaker, just an observation.A woman (staff) walked in from someplace outside and was told to service me by him. She did so without washing her hands. Whoa. It didnt occur to until well into my session. That is a deal breaker.Long story short, her work was sloppy and quite messy. When I attempted to address my concerns she and him became agitated. So, I backed off.I was left at the station by her, she apparently was done working for day. Without a word, she just left. Other people started trying to help me. He eventually came and tried to recover the mess she made. He was better, I guess; but all too willing to let me leave unsatisfied. My nails look like someone who just started beauty school did them,not a professional. There are gaps & bubbles and polish globbed unevenly on my thumbs. An unpleasant experience.It is so important that I tip. And, I always do even if service is poor. But, today took the cake, no way! I dont believe they deserved the full price I begrudgingly paid.They were rude & disrespectful to me as a first time, and last, customer.

HORRIBLE management. I was a loyal customer for the last two years and was treated so rudely at my most recent visit. He called me to tell me he was ready early and when I arrived he had another client and I had to wait an additional 45 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment. No apology or anything. But requires a deposit and if you’re more than 15 minutes late, your appointment is canceled. I understand that things happen but there should also but a certain level of respect and customer service that this place is clearly lacking. I tried to give him another chance and he was so nasty when trying to book my next appointment that I hung up. Would only recommend if you enjoy being treated poorly and don’t care about customer service.

Polite staff and well-done nails

The quality of the nails is horrible! I got my nails done 3 days ago and two of my acrylics already fell! I payed 65$ so it shouldn’t be that my nails are already falling!

Tin was super nice, the rest of the staff was very nice also. Tin does beautiful work also. My name joy complaint is that he’s too rough when working on my nails. My cuticles were bleeding while in his chair. And they are very sore today.

From day one, I saw Tin as a perfectionist. He would make sure your nails was more than just nice. Each visit is outstanding and I get compliments daily on my nails, even after three weeks! I offer his business cards and address all the time. I love Tin!

Called before arrival came a hour in a half for the guy to tell me go somewhere else I’ve never had anyone tell me that and in a very rude way!

Before coming to this salon I had never had acrylics. I was a walk in and was serviced very quickly and professionally. Not only am I happy with the service I received but the staff and how professional they were as well. I will be returning!

I loved my first experience with Tin and Red Nails 3. I made an appointment and when I showed up I had no wait. He took his time on each and every nail with great detail. My nails came way more beautiful than I imagined and I have been receiving compliments each day. I will surely be returning.

I had an appointment scheduled and had to wait 20 minutes for him to eat, took him 30 minutes to cut my cuticles all together a while hour for just a manicure, place was not clean on the inside and they did not ha e the plastic shields up at mani or pedi stations, very dissatisfied!!!

Owner of the shop very rude, no extra people there to provide services. I asked about a young lady that works there to see when she will be in and he told me he didnt know. I do not recommend this shop, to add the owner just responded to my review and said that he has me posted on his Instagram page with a video. Will be going forward with filing a police report.

Called in to set up an appointment for an acrylic set, the guy on the phone sounded as if he was either high or on downers. He said I would have to pay $20 deposit upfront if I want to make an appointment, I asked him why it’s not like their a 5 star luxury nail salon? He proceeded to laugh and said umm hello this is Red Nails 3 and I said can I come by and show you my coupon and give my $20 deposit? He started to laugh and said no and that he doesn’t know what salon I’m talking about because they don’t have coupons. Completely rude customer service especially for new customers who are taking their time to make an appointment instead of showing up as a walk in. Don’t even consider giving this place a try, I get it that it’s cheap, but you’ll just get mediocre nails with terrible service. Your call.

Ive been a client of Tins for over a year. Every set Ive had has been absolutely impeccable - and the one time it wasnt up to his own standards (I thought they were fine!), he personally messaged me to come back the next day so he could fix them at no charge. He takes his time on each and every nail so that the nail is strong, which I am particularly grateful for as I am not gentle on them and Ive never broken a nail.Tin takes his time to ensure I get exactly what I want and I get compliments on a daily basis on how beautiful my nails are. Because of how well-done they are, I regularly am able to go 3-5 weeks between fills as growth is only *slightly* noticeable at week 3.For new clients, a $20 deposit is taken. This deposit goes towards your service. If youre upset about that, you can thank all the previous customers who decided not to show up to their appointments and head to a different shop. I guarentee you that their work will not be better than Tins.The few times that Tins daughter has been in the shop while Ive been there, she has been SO well behaved. I actually really enjoy when shes at the shop because shes hilarious and watching her and her dad interact is so sweet. That being said, she is a child and children arent perfectly behaved all the time (although neither are adults). If you are looking for a child-free experience, go during regular school hours.Dont let the reviews regarding the level of customer service deter you. Some people just have a more mellow demeanor than others. Also, things might be a bit dusty, but the tools themselves are clean. Ive watched Tin spray alcohol onto / place instruments into alcohol to sanitize them after use on me. Ive gotten toenail fungus at other salons in the area, so I watch for sanitization.All in all, I highly recommend Tin / Red Nails 3. I will continue coming back for as long as Im in the Richmond area.

This place is dirty and dusty.I visited to get a manicure and pedicure. I looked around as i waS getting serviced, and noticed that there was dust, dirt, and cobb webs behind the pedicure chairs. The front area is junky, dust is on the display tables and dryers, the floor needs to b mopped(not just barely swept), the rugs are dirty. I saw one of the ladies use the exact same utensils that shed just used on a prior client(no sterilization). This place is unsafe regarding stetilization in many ways. They need to clear out all the junk, and do a major cleaning(the entire place). Its just cluttered and junky!If u dont care about cleanliness and sanitation, go here. If u care about your wellbeing, and NOT contracting bacterial infections, GO ELSEWHERE!!!!Also, my cuticles bled because Lilly talks too much, move too fast instead of paying attention to her clients, shes looking around focusing on others. I paid over$50, and my paint chipped after 2 days.The owner also need to b more enthusiastic and professional when answering the phone, and communicating with clients. His actions speaks volume about how well this place is kept(uncaring and all about $). Never will i return!

Horrible experience. Young girl running around shop. Nail tech does not care about the health of your nails at all. I would not recommend at all. The owner was very rude and unprofessional over the phone. I payed over 70 dollars for bad service !

RUDEEEEEEEEE! Walked-in and before I could even sign myself in and take a seat, I was ‘greeted’ with a look of disgust. Not a hello, how are you?, how can I help you? Nothing! Just a guy staring at me like: why did I just walk into his establishment... He goes do you have an appointment, I smiled and said “I don’t!” He goes well “I’m booked” and just looked at me like yeah leave (the place was empty, still early afternoon)... I smiled and said thank you, and WALKED THE HELL OUT OF THAT PLACE AND WILL NEVERRRRRRR RETURN. Spend your money where you are welcomed loves!!

Yesterday was my first time coming here and less than 24hrs the paint has cracked off, while in process of getting them done I tried to get a clear understanding that I wanted my old nails and acrylic off with a fresh overlay on my natural nail bed with shellac paint. Welp upon leaving only some of my old acrylic was drilled and filed off then painted over leaving my nails feeling flimsy and weak I tried to ignore it mind you this process cost me $30, just to go home feeling like I can’t even wash dishes properly because my nail might break which in less than 24hrs it did. If you don’t have the patience or care for a particular color/race of people then turn them away at the door or something this is ridiculous. I posted a picture it’s the gray colored nails. I’m literally in tears

If i could give no stars i would the customer service is horrible when i came in i didnt get a greeting and there were only two workers and 3 customers plus me, so i sat down and waited i see a little grl run in it was the nail techs daughter after waiting for an hour and 30mins the other nail tech asked me to come back tomorrow... worst experience eveeerrrrr i was sooo upset and i already had a bad day

My dipped nails have lasted two days. I repetitively told the lady that you shouldnt be able to see through a dark color and they werent thick enough.
