Browsing through the reviews, I see a pattern! This place went above and beyond helping me today with vehicle issues. I live 2.5 hours away and was trying to get home after flying in from vacation. Jon investigated the issue and after working on it, he sent us home safely. He could have easily taken advantage of me and instead he was genuine and generous. Thank you! I highly recommend this shop. I am extremely picky about where I bring my vehicles and who works on them. I was referred to this shop by a friend and I am glad I went. I brought 2 of my 3 vehicles to them for work and they did a fantastic job. I cant say enough good things about this shop - all the people I worked with were extremely friendly, they got every extremely unique job done as requested, they even gave me a loaner vehicle each time I was there and for the exact amount of time they had each vehicle, and they were even super flexible about other things that I dont want to mention here out of respect for their business, but seriously, I HIGHLY recommend these guys!! Excellent staff. Professional over the phone and in person. Pleasurable to talk to. They were straight forward with me about my repairs, what they recommended and the cost of each. They went over and above to communicate with me about the status of my vehicle, and were patient with me in my decision process about different repairs. Jon was such a blessing. I was leaving Minnesota to go back to Illinois but my car started to have a major problem with the oil and I really did not want to drive it back home. Had my AC unit recharge at Johns they told me they told me they couldnt find a leak. Two weeks later AC system decharge and come to find out that all Chevy Silverados from 2014 to 2017mine is a 2015 have a similar problem of a weld spot on the condenser that leaks and never never told me about it. Shady business would not recommend this auto shop.

My truck was towed there after it broke down nearby. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Im very happy with Johns Auto Shop and definitely recommend them.

We have been going here for 30 plus years until today. We called for a oil change and they wanted us to leave it. We live in the northern suburbs and that is not convenient for a oil change. This never happened before the new owners took over. And we talked to the new owners when they took over and they said that would never be a problem, and the first time we tried they failed. We will be looking to build a relationship with a company closer to home now. We are sad because we always trusted this place.

Went there 3 times in 6 weeks for an oil change and told every time if I left it the entire day maybe they would get to it. Person behind the counter was rude every time. Seems they dont want to do small things for people they just want your big ticket business will not go here ever again

Great service, educated employees AND very reasonable pricing. I have used Johns Auto for a number of years and I have never been disappointed! I needed my differential replaced and I checked out 3 other places to check pricing. I ended up going back to Johns because their price was lower then the 3 others. After it was all said and done I ended up paying almost $60 less then what they quoted me! Again, great people and excellent service.

Weve been taking our autos to Johns for years and always have a good experience. When we have had them serviced elsewhere, it never seems to match their competence and honesty. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for a go-to auto repair shop.

Recently had some work done at Johns Auto Shop in Richfield. We knew that one of the issues was a belt, but we had some strange rumbling sound coming from the rear end of a ford fusion. It had been looked at elsewhere, including a ford dealership, and no one could seem to figure it out. Johns was able to figure it out in no more than a few minutes, and the best part is that they were able to fix it quick and cheap. We had gone in thinking the repair would be significant, but it turned out to be very routine and well below what we expected to spend. The best part is that they did not try to sell us anything we didnt need, nor did they try to scare us with a long list of factory recommended things we should do.Great service from honest people is hard to find in the automotive industry. Unfortunately, a few bad apples have tainted the entire field. However, I am confident that Johns Auto Shop is an outstanding operation. As long as their doors are open, they will have all of my automotive repair business.

Do NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I have no idea how this place is rated so highly. I went to get a transmission leak fixed and all they did was cut out rusted pipes and temporarily fix it by replacing with rubber tubing. I had to go somewhere else and pay more money just to get it redone with a more permanent fix. Will never trust this place with my car again.

5 years ago I was especially impressed on how kind and respectful they were to my wife. Since then they have earned my trust time after time. Anyone who gives these guys less than 5 stars is not paying attention.

On our way home from after picking up new tires for our car, we hit a chunk of metal in the middle of the road. We were able to stop on the diagonal Blvd exit, which was directly across from Johns Auto Shop. Our little car does not have a spare (just a repair kit) so we slowly rolled into Johns. They took us in immediately and with our new tire with us we were set to go! They removed the damaged and replaced with the one we had with us. Thank you so much for being right where we needed you and making this bump in the road fly by!

Honest, friendly staff and ownership

DO NOT GET YOUR CAR FIXED HERE. I paid $1300 dollars for them to fix just a coolant leak on my s500 Mercedes Benz just to find out they didnt even fixed it. They fix everything around it but not the actual leak. Total scam and a waste of money. And when my husband called and complain about it they basically lied and said that they wasnt suppose to fix the coolant leak. Then what the hell did I pay yall $1300 dollars for? Never again am I taking my car to any auto shop after this last bad experience. I now have a guy who comes to my house and will fix anything for $50 and hour. And hes really good and wont rip you off like most of these auto shops. Smfh

Never going back to a dealer or chain repair shop again! These guys are honest and priced competitively. Have two cars which supposedly needed major work according to Tires Plus; but Johns Auto Shop figured out the real issues and saved me a lot of money. I would highly suggest this shop to anyone!

My wife and I have been using Johns Auto for years. The technicians are knowledgeable, the estimates are far more reasonable than most shops, especially dealerships, and I have never felt as though they are running up the service bill by seeking out stuff to replace that doesnt need repair or replacing. They will, if they see something in need of attention, mention it as something one should keep an eye on. My wife, who often feels disrespected in auto shops trusts and even endorses Johns Auto Shop to her friends.

I am traveling into the area for work and my window fell down. They got it up and taped it inconspicuously. They didnt charge me anything! They really did not have to do that. The staff here is way too kind!
