Dr Alex said my husband has a cracked tooth that needs a crown. my husband goes to a new dentist Aug 30th and they dont see it. Dentist tried to call Dr. Alexs office for the information, now Shannon Montalvan wont release the records because of HIPAA Laws said I have to sign a release. I called and spoke to her asked why she sent the X-rays on Aug 27 when I called she said she knew who I was but wont send them to the new dentist without the release. I told her she wasnt doing her job she said I was confrontational and wouldnt deal with me and she hung up on me. I filled out the release form and and at the bottom was a check box saying theres a $25.00 fee. Really. I not sure if someone is trying to make money or does my husband have a cracked tooth. I will be contacting my insurance company as well.This review is not about Dr Alex. I thought he is compassionate and a caring person. I would have liked to have moved forward with some of the recommendations for dental work but I couldn’t get pass the rude and condescending office manager who has major attitude and over talks you. I went to the Finesse dental Aug 3rd., for a check up and X-rays, I was told I needed deep cleaning and other related work due to my periodontal disease that I’ve had for 40 years. I wanted to get an estimate for some of the work. Then the office manger came in said she’d have to submit the information to the insurance for a quote and approval and could take a few weeks. Then Aug 5th my husband went in and was told he needed a crown for a cracked tooth and again needed to submit to the insurance for approval and quote. Two weeks pass I called spoke to the office manger asked about the approval from the insurance co. She said they haven’t gotten back with anything yet. Everything is taking longer because of COVID. I said I don’t understand the delay usually you get the information within a few minutes. She said when was the last time that happened, I said July 2021, actually from the last dentist I just left (didn’t go back because I didn’t feel safe with all the homeless people in the parking lot), they got the information in 15 minutes. On Aug 24th still nothing form dentist office so I called. Was told the office manager would call back later that day. She did. I was told there was only a partial quote from the insurance co. for my work, that I needed more work that’s being quoted. I said it’s my decision what I pay for and what I don’t. I don’t have any pain, loose teeth, swelling or bleeding. She started lecturing me about periodontal disease and how I have extreme bone loss saying she was looking at the X-rays and could see I have a tooth bottom front that is only been held by the gums. Really don’t you think Dr Alex would say that. He didn’t. How am I able to eat sour dough bread, pizza crust, bit into apples, red vines and CORN ON THE COB without it falling out? It’s not even loose. I had a filling fall out just by flossing. Then I ask about my husbands quote, she said they haven’t sent anything on him yet. I told her this ridiculous and would look for a new dentist. So Aug 25th I called my insurance co to see what was the delay. I was informed it doesn’t take a month to get approval or a quote only a few minutes by phone call or by fax🤔. I also checked on the quotes, mine was only partially sent and my husband wasn’t sent at all. Someone isn’t doing their job. To bad I really like Dr Alex. But can not put up with rude staff.By the way I did submit a grievance with the insurance co just not leaving negative reviews on social media.

Beware: the name “Finesse” tells the story; they will try to finesse you into buying expensive Invisalign treatments you do not need. I sent my daughter to them to assess a small cosmetic issue. The dentist told her she would need to do Invisalign for 3 months at the cost of over $4,000 before the cosmetic issue could be addressed. He also made her feel very uncomfortable by making inappropriate comments like, “I bet you get hit on a lot.” I sent her to another dentist who fixed her issue the same day for $90. Sad to have to share such a review.

Clean but really disappointed with their customer service. They came highly recommended by a friend. The assistant was supposed to call me the day after my appt with cost (after checking my insurance) but never called! Almost 2 weeks later still no call. Ive even emailed the office, no response. Highly disappointed

I’m so glad I found this little hidden gem. Dr. Alex and his staff are amazing. Dr. Alex did my crown and I must admit I was so scared, but he was so patient and gentle with me by the time my treatment was over I was very impressed with him. I didn’t feel a thing, he made sure of that. The hygienist Amber was amazing she did something I’ve never experienced by any other hygienist. She asked if I had any sensitivity to cold water? I responded only after I get a cleaning, she then dabbled a little numbing cream around my teeth and gum area before she proceeded to clean. I absolutely felt no sensitivity to the cold rinse during cleaning. They are an amazing team. Jasmine the front office lady also ROCKS, very friendly. Great place. Dr. Alexander is really nice and makes you feel comfortable. Really good professional and friendly attitude. The stuff is equally on pair. Really nice people and a place that I would recommend to anybody.

I personally don’t like going to the dentist, however Dr.Alex and his colleagues are friendly, caring and make dental appointments very pleasant. Procedures are done with a kind and gentle hand, I’m a satisfied patient and highly recommend Finesse Dental! My children actually look forward to their dental appointments!

I have been with Dr. Alex for one year. Staff are nice. I have never felt pressured to pay for anything. He is conservative and focuses on prevention especially with my kids who love him. He gives me options always and I have found that he is actually very reasonable.

Friendly and professional staff along with great service! The Dr. and staff were very good with myself and young boys with special needs. The boys felt comfortable and safe the entire visit. A+++. I highly recommend this dental practice.

Dr. Alexander and his staff are very courteous and professional. He is conservative and does not recommended unnecessary treatments. He focuses on prevention especially with my kids. He is very gentle with them. I highly recommended him. If you have a steady dentist and not sure what to do, I highly recommend you go to him for a second opinion. He was honest and that is why I had originally switched to him!

Dr. Alex took me in on Sunday for an emergency root canal. I kept putting it off. I would give him a 6 star for the pain relief he gave me. The next day I was called in to schedule a crown. To be honest, I asked for the prices from some of the local dentists because he had given me an idea of what it was going to cost. He was amazingly reasonable and fair. I must give credit where it due. Thank you Dr. Alex and Jasmine for all you did for me!

Dr. Alex is one of the best dentists i have ever been to... i have been going to Dr. Alex for the past 2 years for regular cleaning and hygiene care. last month, i broke my back tooth and it started causing a lot of pain few days after. i contacted Dr. Alex and because of my work schedule, i was not able to make his regular business hours; However, Dr.Alex accommodated for my schedule and he meet me after his normal office hours and initiated a root canal that put me out of pain the very same day.i extremely appreciate his dedication and passion to his patient. it is very comforting to me to just know i have Dr Alex as my dentist... i know i am very well taken care of at all times.
