I took a watch in to have engraved for my husband for Fathers Day and while the customer service (face to face questions and answers) was nice, the quality and caliber of the engraving was well below average. The engraving was not done as we had discussed (in terms of placement on the back of the watch). And the actual engraving lacked uniformity and linearity (see the attached picture). I was very disappointed and shared my thoughts with the shop manager who could only offer an apology and to redo the work, however he shared it would not be ready in time for Father’s Day and the redo would mean completely scrubbing and removing all inscriptions including the makers insignia from the back of the watch. This watch was being given to my husband from our young sons as a first Fathers Day gift and we wanted it to be perfect. Given my experience regarding overall craftsmanship and quality, protect your investment(s) and spend your money elsewhere.

Treasure Isle helped me to create a beautiful ring with three topaz stones. They are doing a free resizing for me at the Cary location. I am very happy with the end result. Diane spent a long time with me helping me to pick out the perfect design and stone colors for me. Dustin, who set the stones, did a fantastic job. It looks exactly the way that I pictured in my head.

Gosh, I’ve been going to this store since it first opened and have had dozens of great interactions with their sales and repairs, the prices are good, the the workmanship great, and the sales people are super attentive and helpful. They keep the store spic-n-span clean, too, which is a plus these days.

I’ve purchased jewelry and gotten jewelry fixed here. The people are extremely helpful, accommodating, and knowledgeable. I’ve been to other places where it feels like they’re just trying to make a quick buck off of you, but at this place you can tell they genuinely care about the customers. Every time I’ve gone it’s taken under an hour to get things fixed, which is perfect for a mall trip. I will definitely continue to come here in the future!

My husband and I just left, and they ruined his wedding ring!!! He has a tungsten ring and its 10 years old. It still had a decent shine to it but was a tiny bit dull. We asked if there was any way to reshine it, he said hed see what he could do and he buffed it. Handed it back to us and it was dull and rough!! Dude acted like it looked like that all along! Ruined it!!!!! I had to walk out in order to not show my rear end. We went to Reeds to ask if there was any chance in restoring it and they said no. They said the guy at Treasure Isle should definitely have known better. I am SO angry!!! 10 years of taking care of it and that guy ruined it within 5 minutes. NEVER will I go back. We asked a simple question and now we have to replace a very valuable piece of jewelry. DISGUSTING. Id give zero stars if I could.

I have a 10K gold box chain that needed repair. I went into Treasure Isle expecting to leave it there. Luke helped me and said if I had a few minutes he would repair it while I watched. He was fast, very professional and it was very affordable. He even cleaned it for me once it was repaired. Im grateful and highly recommend Treasure Isle for jewelry repairs.

The work was extremely fast but the customer service was amazing. I had to get a pretty bad scuff mark out of my ring after it was dropped on the pavement. I was waiting behind another customer and Scott Eddi walked in, off of what Im assuming was his break since he was still wearing his backpack, and asked me if I needed assistance. I explained my issue and he immediately took the ring and polished out the scuff mark AND the other minor scratches. It was like new again! He didnt even take the time to remove his backpack. Its not a huge deal but it shows that he puts the customer first and I really appreciated that. He handed me the ring and I was on my way. No charge. It was service with a smile and a very pleasant experience. Thanks Scott!

I wish I could rate this place 0 stars. Very unprofessional. My sister went in to have her watch adjusted and the man who was working told her “it’s too tight, i might have to add another link, your not the skinniest in the lot” she said “excuse me” and he then proceeded to say “your not the skinniest in the lot meaning your not the skinniest but that’s okay that’s what men like” She actually cried because this was said to her while just trying to get her watch adjusted. Unprofessional, rude and unacceptable. I would never recommend this place to anyone!

My husband bought me a new wedding ring last November from Kay’s and within the 10 months, 2 diamonds fell out and Kay’s wouldn’t do anything for me since I didn’t have a warranty. They gave me an estimate after it had been sent off for over 2 weeks of $175 to replace one of the diamonds and they couldn’t guarantee that ‘deal’ if I didn’t have the ring fixed right then if I chose to come back at a later time. My husband and I were at Crabtree and were visiting all the other jewelry places in the mall to hopefully get a quote to get it repaired and nobody had a jeweler on hand and would require the ring to be sent off to get an estimate. One of the employees recommended Treasure Isle so we went by and the guy (Scott?) looked at my ring and gave me an immediate estimate and could have it ready for me the next morning. The price was great (cheaper than Kay’s estimate to just replace one of the diamonds) and he was even going to tighten all the prongs so I didn’t lose anymore diamonds. You can tell *slightly* that the two diamonds replaced are a little different than the originals, but you’d have to look really hard to tell. Very pleased with my experience.

In the past few days, my wife and I decided to shop around to try and sell some jewelry that was not being used. Upon comparison to other jewelers, Treasure Isles salesperson could not even look us in the eye and offered us an amount that was hundreds of dollars lower than the next jeweler. When looking to sell gold of any kind, please shop elsewhere unless you want to be paid about HALF of what it is worth!

I took a vintage Soviet military watch to them yesterday. a part in it called a cannon pinon was just loose. I know for a fact that was the issue because I have another slightly different model of the same watch with the same movement that had the same issue and it was fixed by another watch maker whom I cant seem to get a hold of now. The first guy I talked to agreed with my assessment and said their master watchmaker would look at it and call me tomorrow. I said ok no problem. So I wait all day for a call and get no call....ok strike one. So I call up there while Im in rush hour traffic after work. After some shuffling around and some whispering I get a very abrupt come pick up the watch its un-repairable. I said how can that be just tighten the canon pinon I would do it myself but I dont have time or the tool anymore hence why I had to take the first one to another watchmaker. Then i get some about a part is broken and parts arent available. Go on ebay and look up 2414a movement they are a dime a dozen and parts separately are plentiful. I said just order the part and add it to the invoice. Yes, the watch isnt worth much and its not a rolex or anything but I like it and want it fixed. I was then met with a no sir we arent going to do that come pick up your watch up anytime. I said fine be there soon. I get there and the girl working there pulls it out of the drawer and doesnt say hello or sorry we couldnt fix it nothing, just tosses it on the counter and turns back to watching tv. Thats strike two and three. I get home and I open it up and all the watchmaker did was turn up the spring tensionor. That has nothing to do with the cannon pinon in the least and all it does it just speeds up the second hand and throws the time off. so I had to set it back to what I know was the proper setting. Thats strike four and they are beyond out. If you have any kind of vintage watches or jewlery dont even waste your time. I work ten hour days and they wasted my time over a period of two days and didnt even have enough decency to or apologize. The funny thing is the watch runs and holds time just fine. Its just hard to set the time due the loose cannon pinon if the spring winds down like if I let it sit over the weekend when Im mainly at home. So they part that i was told was broken wouldnt even move the minute hand and keep time. I dont know if its a case of being incompetent, just didnt wanna do it because of what the item is, or simply just didnt know how to work on that movement. All I wanted was an honest answer and I wasnt given one nor was I told about the adjustments that were made to the watch that I had to reverse. I know im the odd man out in the reviews here but thats what I experienced and should anybody else have something similar they should know what to expect. Dont get me wrong its not that they couldnt fix it its that they didnt even try even after I gave them the go ahead to order whatever parts were needed off ebay and said to just fix it. The tossing the watch on the counter and not even looking at me didnt help matters either.
