Great experience! Worked with Chris Brinn, who was professional, friendly, very responsive. Highly recommend! He connected me with a number of companies doing work exactly in the area I was interested in.
Not sure what happen with their communication but it was beyond poor. I spoke with Laura Turner the first week in December and was excited for job placement. The first red flag was when she forgot to send me the job descriptions, the second red flag was when I would call it would go straight to voice mail whatever day I called. The third red flag was her never responding to anything I sent.Ive emailed and left voicemails with her and shes literally only responded once to say that she sent the Job my resume, no follow ups, no updates. This was a really weird experience and frustrating experience considering most staffing agencies will harass you with Jobs. I felt like I probably missed out on some great opportunities with some great companies all because of communication.
I have worked with Nicole twice over the past year, with great experiences both times. Nicole helped me get my footing in NC and got me interviews very quickly. My first temporary position didnt last very long because I found full-time permanent work quickly after, but I appreciated her willingness to work with me again once I found myself looking for another job. Nicole introduced me to the company I am now transitioned into full-time, and I LOVE it. I completely trusted her to help me and she didnt disappoint. She has also always been available to connect with me after I was placed.I am no longer working with Accentuate because I am transitioned to permanent status with my company, but Nicole really helped me get a foot in the door. Ive tried other staffing agencies in NC and Accentuate was the best by a landslide. Thanks, Nicole! :)
Love working for this company. Everything has been going great. Ive been referring people to this company.
They found employment for me within days of application completion. People, courteous and accommodating.Brooks Jordan, thank you for help me
I resigned from my last job early Dec 2018. Regardless of my experience, I had a really rough time finding a new full time job. I applied to several positions on job posting boards and had no luck. Eventually, one of the positions I applied to in early-mid January just so happened to be via Accentuate Staffing. Nicole Arble called me soon after I submitted my resume and scheduled an interview with me withing a week. She was very personable, kind, and genuine. We went over what I was looking for while reviewing my resume. By early February I was able to schedule an interview at the company where I currently work. I love my current job and Im SO glad that I answered her call that day. She and Brooks Jordan check in on me occasionally and I am very pleased with their professionalism.
I met with Madeline and she was awesome to work with! Very easy to talk to and always explained each position and company thoroughly. Would definitely recommend her to anyone!
At first, I was very impressed with Accentuate. They were able to find me a position quickly and I started within the two week notice of my previous job, however; after working in the position I was employed in for about 3 months, the employer asked me to switch positions to scheduling in order to accommodate another Accentuate staff member who disliked the scheduling position. I was hesitant, given that it was my goal to transition out of scheduling, but in my haste to please my employer, accepted on the basis that if I did not enjoy the switch, I was able to return to my original hired role. After another three months, I realized how stressful and mentally hazardous the position was, and why the first candidate wanted to switch. They were unorganized and utilizing outdated scheduling techniques, and did not provide their employees with the resources necessary to assist their clientele or succeed in the role, while insisting they be the first point of contact. Everyday was mentally and emotionally draining. I spoke with my manager, and then sent an email to Accentuate, letting them know how unhappy I was and that I had spoken to the manager about switching back, but that I would continue to do my best in my current position to help the company. I asked them to please be on the lookout for any additional roles in the meantime. The employer was not true to their promise, and decided to let me go entirely with no warning or additional consideration. They did not provide me with the respect or empathy that they did for the previous candidate, who was very happy in the position that I loved so much. I called Accentuate to let them know and, at that time, they promised that the job market was in good standing and to update my resume and they would be in touch. I did so immediately.A week went by without any contact. I emailed Accentuate again, during my 2nd week of unemployment. They claimed that they were having a meeting about it the following morning. Another week went by with no contact. Then another. To date, I have received no further contact from Accentuate after a full month + 1 week, and eventually, I had to take matters into my own hands.Luckily enough, I was able to find suitable and enjoyable employment without Accentuate, however; I am very disappointed in their service as a staffing agency and recommend any individual currently seeking employment venture on their own merit or consider another agency. In the end, I felt like just a paycheck, not a person.
I have had a FANTASTIC experience with Accentuate Staffing. Before them, I had been hunting for a full-time position for months on end. I had applied to nearly 100 places tailoring my cover letter to each one then hearing little back, and from the ones I did hear back from and interview with, the pay was dismal. It got so discouraging. Within a few weeks of getting connected with Accentuate they found me a wonderful job that I am VERY happy with! I enjoy what I do and I work with great people. I started my position earlier this year and am now being hired on as a permanent employee! I am forever grateful to Accentuate, they were seriously an answer to prayer. I recommend them to everyone I know who is looking for a job and will continue to do so!
I lost my job of two years on a Tuesday. Called Accentuate that day and came in the next day to meet with a recruiter. Had two interviews set up within the next couple days. Accepted an offer on Friday, started the next week. Thanks to the wonderful people here, my family did not lose much income and I recently was hired on full-time at the place they found me a position. I will speak nothing but great things about these people as long as I live.
Great staffing agency! They were very accommodating and easy to work with when trying to find great candidates for my companys growth.
Very efficient staffing agency that matches their candidates to their dream job. I was interviewed by a company on Friday and started working the following Tuesday. I would highly recommend using Accentuate to find a job!
They found employment opportunities for me within days of application completion. Always, courteous and accommodating. Kelly Chavez should be on all staffing agencys wishlist !
I totally agree with the other reviews! They post jobs on indeed you respond, they call you make it seem like your the best person in the world for jobs. Go in pretty much to hear of other jobs you’re so qualified for like the job you actually applied for but never hear anything back. Just a waste of time!
Its has been such a amazing experience going through this staffing agency, this has been my first staffing agency and my last need for one! My recruiter was Jessie Warner, she did a amazing job finding something that fitted my needs. In the mean time of looking for a permanent position she did find of few small jobs for me to do more than once. Then finally a long term job working for a great company. I was hired on as permanent with the company only 6 months after working! I have decided I would write a review once I hit my year mark! Accentuate really did open the door to a much bigger better opportunity to further my career and experience path. Before them I was working at Target with no real income making roughly 9,800 a year definitely not enough to support myself let alone my family. I am blessed to have had such a great POSITIVE experience with accentuate, and WILL/WOULD recommend them!PS. This is a real Authentic Review I have no connections with anyone that works here no friends, family, nothing :)
The best experience Ive ever had with a staffing agency. They found me a position quickly and placed me literally the next day. Everyone is super-helpful and very quick to answer any questions you have during and after the process. My position turned into a temp-to-hire, and I am now on a new career path that I enjoy! Thank you Accentuate!
Please read the rest of the comments. The staff is unprofessional and just looking to add to their applicant pool. They put out ads, you respond, they call you in and make you feel like you are the perfect person for the position and to expect a follow-up within a day or two. It never happens. Better yet, they WILL NOT respond to your emails not phone calls and messages.Everything mentioned about LAURA TURNER is true. I cannot believe this woman still has a job in the recruiting field. WASTE OF TIME! I rated 1 star because 0 is not an option.
Beware you will be doing more work than them. They pick and choose who they want not who is realistically qualified. When you apply through the website or call in its all the same. Very poor service. They like many of the others are in it for the Registering Numbers and not placement of qualified individuals seeking employment. AND EMPLOYEES, FRIENDS AND FAMILY OF THE COMPANY SHOULDNT BE ALLOWED TO LEAVE REVIEWS TO MAKE THEM LOOK BETTER.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE LADIES & GENTS. They are very curt, every but understanding when it comes to your personal life. As if other things don’t tend to happen. WASTE OF TIME.
If I could give this agency no stars I would! Was recently contacted regarding an open position they had listed on their website that I had applied to as it was a position I was qualified for. Received a call from Laura Turner to discuss the position in detail only to be told that I would not even be considered for the job and that I have been essentially blackballed from using their staffing agency again due to them not receiving a two weeks notice from a previous assignment I worked on with them a year ago though I put in a two weeks notice with the direct supervisor for that position. The lack of verbal and written communication between the staffing agency and the assignment you are working on is ridiculous and Im writing this review to warn others that this company is not working in the best interest of workers! Outside of being told that the notice I provided my direct supervisor was not sufficient enough this agency has a horrible tendency of ignoring emails, calls and voicemails regarding open opportunities.I would hate to see anyone waste their time thinking they are qualified for a position only to never hear back from a staffing agent again or worse be blackballed for reasons outside of their control. If you are looking for quality service and staffing agents that actually do care check out other agencies in the area because this agency is truly subpar.
I worked with Madeline and she was great! After working with a handful of Staffing agencies I was able to start working within a week of meeting with the team at Accentuate and felt like I was an absolute priority. Give them a try, very nice people!
The recruiter I worked with was extremely unprofessional and has been called out in these reviews multiple times. She called me in and presented me with 3 jobs that I was qualified for and she made me feel like I would definitely be in the running. She was completely unresponsive, did not return my phone calls and returned one email that stated, the company went with someone else for the job. Nothing about the other 2 opportunities were mentioned. I even emailed her afterwards and asked for feedback on my resume or why I wasnt selected for even an interview. There are some other awesome, professional and reputable staffing agencies I have been working with like Randstad and Green Resources. I would not waste your time with Accentuate and definitely look elsewhere.
Apryl was absolutely fantastic to work with! The positions she recommended me for were perfect. She is very responsive to inquiries and thorough.
Words cant describe how great this agency has been to me. The are very prompt and organized. The staff is really nice and helpful.
I agree with Kristin G who has lacked communication from day 1. Shes not responsive and would not recommend this place to anyone. Weve applied to jobs here before and fit them like a glove, but no calls on them or response when emailing directly. I feel like going to the owner again and letting him know because this is a poorly managed business that he should be aware of. Would not recommend anyone to use this company until they show otherwise they can be responsive and helpful. I will also post this on social media to warn others.
This staffing company were awesome! I did 6 month assignment for them! They were always kind and helpful to me.😀
I was having a hard time finding a job that was the right fit for me and vice versa. Nicole Arble from Accentuate Staffing sat down with me, looked at my professional history and listened to my interests, then looked at the job listings that matched what she read AND what I told her. She tailor fitted what would work best for the company and the employee. While working there, the company interviewed me without an interview, and I did the same - we felt each other out professionally to see if it was a good fit, each without telling the other we were doing so. Shortly before the end of my time there, the company expressed interest in hiring me, and I expressed interest in the company. I found a good fit on my first temp position because of Nicole Arbles personalized efforts at Accentuate Staffing. They put in the extra effort - all you have to do is be willing to do the same; choose these people if youre looking for temp work.
Madeline was very nice and helpful. She reached out to about an interview and I got the job the next day . Would definitely recommend Accentuate Staffing. Had a very good experience !
Accentuate staffing got me hired at Peter Millar after weeks of searching on my own, and I was excited to finally get a paycheck after I was out of work. I worked for a week, and on that Friday, Accentuate called to tell me saying I was performing poorly and they had to cancel my assignment “per Peter Millar’s request”, and when I asked for a better explanation, because no one at PM said I was doing a poor job, in fact, they seemed happy to expect me that next week. Hillary Valand got anxious and basically hung up on me.I ignored Accentuates policy to contact a company after a canceled assignment, and luckily got to talk to Peter Millar’s HR department, and learned that my poor performance was not the issue, but they had hired too many people, and we’re letting go recent hires. I do not blame Peter Millar for this, they were a great prospective company, but Accentuate Staffing could have done a much better job with their communication. No one should feel like they were doing a poor job and be that they were released for it, when in reality, the people higher up made a mistake and hired too many applicants. Someone has to make money, and they will make sure it’s themselves. You will have better luck talking to potential companies yourself.
I started working at CORMETECH and they acted like they couldnt move me to a different department, from the intense lifting, BUT EVERY MAN GOT MOVED...THEN THEY STARTED ME AT PETER MILLAR, WORST PLACE EVER TO WORK, NO ORIENTATION, NO INFORMATION ON DAYS YOU VAN MISS OR BE LATE, I GOT FIRED For a DEATH IN MY FAMILY, I HADNT REACHED THE LIMITS YET, which was NEVER EXPLAIN TO ME THE LEAD MEXICAN GIRL Was hateful, rude, and watched all day, did NO WORK, AND ONCE SHE SAW HOW GOOD I WAS, ACCENTUATE STAFFING FIRED ME, AGAIN POOR COMMUNICATION AND I DID NOT REACH THE LIMIT OF DAYS AND WAS FIRED, THIS COMPANY IS THE WORST, DONT TRY IT, GET YOUR HOPES UP AND LIE, LIE, LIE.... NOBODY WILL STAY AT PETER MILLAR, THE STOCKER TOLD ME THAT HAD HIRED TWENTY PEOPLE IN ONE MONTH CUZ THE LEAD GIRL IS SO UNBEARABLE... ACCENTUATE TELL LIES AND DONT GIVE CORRECT INFORMATION....all they care about is the Money they make, I see from the reviews, I not the only one who got SCREWED.....
Great staffing service. I was leary of going with a staffing company to find a job when I moved to the area, but it was a very easy process. I was hired after the first interview. Apryl was extremely professional.
So far my experience has been really great. Im currently in a temp to hire position that I think is great match for me!
They play polite and like they are willing to help you but in fact are doing just the opposite. Smh.. i will try not to write a book. I will go with one particular person, one particular incident. Now with any and every temp agency you have to call in once or twice a week as available for employment. So that they know you are still looking for work. But i have never had anyone say do not call in we know you are available. Lol..you dont know i am available if i am not calling in. The person that stated that to me is Amanda Wagner. She plays like she has your best interest at heart but does not. Avoid her like the plague.
Great company to work for. Always mindful and considerate.
Very Professional and Quick came in 30 mins early then appointment scheduled and was out before my designated time to be there and got working next day.White oak office
Absolutely poor communication and no real care. I dealt with Laura Turner (who seems to have quite the reputation on here) and as a usual staffing agency, wanted me to come in immediately for an interview for an absolute dream position. I got to the office on time and Laura was about 20 minutes late. When I met with her I expressed my extreme interest and enthusiasm for the position and she seemed like she couldnt care less, no smiles or warmth. No surprise, 2 weeks went by and I never heard from her. I messaged her to check and she sent me a 2 sentence email roughly saying no. It has been 3 months since I met her and in that time Ive never heard from her despite me sending her two more emails about other opportunities. You call and no one answers, so there is absolutely no way to speak to anybody. I lost a wonderful chance for a dream job that I had the qualifications for (she also mentioned that she had been a recruiter for this certain company for 10 years, so how I didnt even get a phone call from them is just insane) and the staffing agency just sees it as a lost paycheck. Dont use them or their stupid purple squirrel!
Madeline was very polite. I got a call back the same day !
All the staff at Accentuate are helpful, polite, and professional. If you are looking for temp work or temp employees, I highly recommend going through accentuate staffing for your needs to be met.
DO NOT USE THIS STAFFING AGENCYI would not recommend Accentuate Staffing to anyone. It’s been my experience that the more money you request on the hour the less jobs they assign to you. This is not because the jobs themselves are not willing to pay that amount, but because the staffing agency is looking to maximize the amount of money they can make off each person working for their agency. Be warned - this staffing agency has to be the one making money, not you!! The staffing agent I was assigned to was Jessie Warner. I asked for any job that would pay at least $15 per hour since I have a Bachelor’s degree and related job experience, which I thought was fair since it is also about the average wage for receptionist jobs in the Raleigh/Durham area. However, after working just a few small jobs I soon realized that I was being passed up for better jobs for people working with Jessie that were willing to make much less on the hour. For example, if a site was offering to pay an individual $15/hour and you informed Jessie that your minimum pay for a job was $12/hour she would offer you the job at $12 (not $15) so her company could make the additional $3 for every hour that you worked.Things got even worse for me a few weeks later when I applied to a job completely independent from the staffing agency. The job posting was listed as paying $18/hour and I submitted my resume to the company. A few days later, I was contacted by Jessie Warner asking me if I was interested in taking a receptionist job that was paying $15/hour. I said yes and when she emailed me the job responsibilities I realized it was the exact same job verbatim that I had applied to separate from the agency. What had happened was that Jessie had contacted the company and had encouraged them to use a staffing agency instead of hiring people individually. I contacted Jessie after figuring out it was the exact same job I had applied independently to and asked why she was only offering me $15 for the job when the job posting clearly stated $18. She quickly backtracked and said she made a mistake that the pay was actually $18/hour. Needless to say, after catching Jessie Warner in a lie, I was not offered the job despite the fact that the person I interviewed with at the job had implied multiple times during our discussion that I had the job.I know now the reason why I did not get the jobs that I was qualified for was that Jessie Warner could not make a lot of money off of me. What few jobs I did get assigned to (1-2 days a month) were jobs that no one else was willing to take so she went ahead and paid me $15/hour without making as large of a profit off the workers as she usually does.So my advice to you is to insist on what you are worth and most staffing agencies will pay this amount. My experience with Accentuate Staffing is that they are corrupt, greedy individuals who purposefully pay their workers less money on the hour so they can pocket your money while sitting in an air-conditioned office all day.
Spoke to Laura at Accentuate Staffing regarding a weekend C/S position. She asked if I still was interested and whether I am still at my present week full time position, I advised on that and finished phone call agreeing she would e-mail me info regarding the weekend part time position. Never hear from her again either via e-mail, I have called her multiple times. She never answers, she is never available, I have left multiple voicemails and nothing!! What kind of clown business is this?? Folks around the Raleigh/Durham area, Do Not waste your time with this rodeo clown show!!! They are so unprofessional I do not see how a local business would hire this firm to recruit employees. Sad, sad!!
Steer clear
Went in for interview with Laura Turner. Got a call back about a week later with regards to 2 positions discussed initially. Only interviewed for one but never got a follow up. Left a message a couple weeks afterwards, still no response. Only conclusion I have is once they see you know your worth and how the biz works, they wont hire you bc its not hard to research what youre SUPPOSED to be paid by interviewing company vs what they pay you . Plus it doesnt help that you can see the jobs still being posted weeks after no contact. Communication is key in any business. Dont care if I get a call back or not at this point and cant recommend this Accentuate location in Raleigh.
They are horrible! Call you in and have your hopes up in reference to starting work and then never contact you back or answer your calls. It appears Laura has a bad name. All previous posts about her are correct. Seems like she may need to find a new profession.
Join the Agency had a job within 2-3 weeks, in a Temp to Hire position the company Im now a Temp at is Great as well. Thanks ACC :D
Filled out app 5 mths ago and they say stil dnt have any work yet wow
Fiance went here for an interview and was almost instantly turned away by an agent, and told she would not be able to perform the job duties because she is pregnant. I find it funny that a staffing agency would not be aware of the Pregnancy Discrimination Act. Apparently someone never went to school? So, if you wish to work for a company that violates federal law and hates on pregnant women, this is the place to be!
Do not waste your time.
I have been to 4 staffing places not one was good as this one does not take long before you come full time they all about business here an I definitely appreciate this staffing service I would tell everyone to please go an apply you won’t get disappointed not at all love these guys they checks on me an if I need anything they don’t wait to help thanks guys
Horrible experience. Consideration for their employees was minimal.
Terrible communication.
