Theyre an okay place to buy inexpensive tires. Be careful with the free rotations and air checks through. Every time something is wrong. Just picked up my truck and two tires were 5 psi too high, other two were only 1 over. Easy fix once I got home but still annoying.

Extremely impressed with this tire shop!! I took my car in thinking I’d need a new tire and they inspected everything and just patched it up and didn’t charge a dime !! I will definitely be going here when I need a new tire and spreading the word. Great employee service as well!!

Their quoting for tire install is misleading. Over the phone I was quoted $14 per tire. I was surprised and asked why they were lower than others (Firestone and Browns Alignment were in the low $20s per tire). The rep’s response seemed reasonable: you get a discount if you buy tires from Discount Tire. Upon reviewing my bill at the time of service, they charged me $14 for the mounting of my tires — and then another $14 to dismount them. Isn’t it a given that you need both to replace a tire? The amount is not the issue, but folks should be aware of how they price. Ultimately, they were efficient, professional, courteous and got the job done, but I feel duped on how they quoted pricing.

The staff is so rude here. After working a twelve hour day myself, I pulled into the spot where they will check the air in your tires. One of my tires was low. I bought them here. It made sense at the time to swing by on my way home. Instead I sat there with at least a dozen employees still working in the bays with all the garage doors still open, just looking at me and a few laughed at me. I wasnt sure why noone was communicating with me. Finally a female employee goes to move a car and I asked her what was up. She told me that they closed at 6pm(it was 6:20) and thats why nobody was paying attention to me.. Yet, the air pump thing and the signs and cones were still out there, so it seemed open. Im a typical customer/person; I didnt just look up the store and figure it out on my own that they were already closed. But, thats why you pay a bunch of employees- to communicate with your guests. I work at a restaurant. When we close at a certain time, we dont just immediately ignore any new guests coming into the business. We respectfully greet them and kindly inform them that we are closed for the evening and invite them to join us another day... You know, customer service! It helps when youre trying to run a business! 😉👍

I found myself with a deflating tire and was so lucky I ended up down the road from this place! Bryan was so helpful and kind. They gave me a great price for a suitable tire that worked for my vehicle. He took the extra time to pick a tire that would wear the same as my existing front end tire. I was quoted less than an hour for it to be finished and got a text about 30 minutes later that my car was already finished, with a full room of other customers. I’ve been buying tires from this store for 3+ years. Recently, we ran over a large bolt in the center tread on my wife’s car. The tire had to be taken off the wheel, patched, and reinstalled because the hole was too big to simply plug. They fixed it in about 45 minutes at no charge.They consistently quote the lowest or near-lowest prices for new tires AND have excellent post-sale customer service. Great tire store.

I visit this location routinely for my tire servicing. The staff are all always professional and polite. They do a great job on their work. Last summer I had all 4 tires replaced by them for a great price. I recently hit a nail last week and they repaired it. I had a blowout on another tire yesterday and they installed a new tire in a timely manner (was covered under warranty). I highly recommend this shop to others.

The first time I visited this place I had to have my car towed because guess what Kia didnt come with a spare tire...these guys are so awesome..then I got two more flats because of construction zones..then they gave a bit of a discount when they recommended just replacing the last one...now I have 4 new tires ..they are a great company and the guys that work there are too awesome..and now have road hazard 😁 did I mention my car only has 30000 miles on it..?

I ran over a nail a few weeks ago and walked outside to the lovely site of a flat tire! I already had an appointment with this location to get my tires rotated when I found the flat, so they were super accommodating with my tardiness. I forgot the guys name (soo sorry) who initially looked at my tire, ordered a new one and gave me my quote, but he was SO nice and took his time explaining everything to me and he was a HUGE help with being sure I signed up for the warranty I forgot about. The tire came in very quickly and the service was quick and thorough with a very helpful staff. This is my second encounter with this location after purchasing a set of tires with them and both visits were great and it means a lot to be able to walk comfortably into a repair shop and not worry about being hassled or taken advantage of because youre a woman. Kudos!

Wow they were so quick. I had all 4 tires replaced in about 30 minutes when I have waited over 2 hours at other places. Tires were a lot less than what I paid at other places. Highly recommend.

I used to use discount tire for a lot of things. They are good if you buy your tires from them. Saturday, 01/02/2021, I took some tires and wheels there to get mounted with my own tire sensors that I bought from Amazon. They called me after I dropped them off and told me those sensors would. It work but I could buy the ones they sold for $60/per sensor. I bought the one complete set from Amazon for $40. They said it would be a government violation to install those tire sensors that did not work, etc. they also charged me $60 to dismount the tires off of the wheels I bought. Total rip off! Took the tires up the street to a mom & pop shop, they mounted my tires and balanced AND installed my sensors that discount tire swore would not work, for $20 a tire. Oh and guess what, after I installed my tires, why do ya know... my sensors do work and are programmed to my truck...

Best tire place ever. They have great prices and if you happen to find a better price theyll match it. You would think low prices means sacrificing service but that is not the case. Time and time again Ive experienced the best customer service possible. They helped me find the tire I wanted, even though the size didnt come standard for the car. Just got my moms flat tire fixed for free and didnt have to buy a service contract either. Plus its not tied to one store. Great service Nationwide. As long as they keep this up, Ill never go anywhere else.

I had to take my hubby to Duke Raleigh Hospital area for a doctors appt. As Im pulling up in front of the building we get a call from the Drs office to inform us that they need to reset the appt. As Im pulling away from the drop off area I run over something, and that clank clank clank sound of something caught in a tire begins. So, I pull off into a parking area, and low and behold, I have a bolt stuck in a rear tire. Its all the way in, and I know I can not drive all the way back to southern Wake cty with that in the tire. I Googled tire shops in the area, and find this Discount Tire shop less than a mile from where Im stopped. I pull into the shop, wait for an attendant, and I asked how long the wait would be. Its long....its really long. Im caught between a rock and a hard place. I need the tire fixed, but I also have an ailing hubby who may have difficulty waiting that long for the tire to be repaired/replaced. I let the attendant know my situation. Not only did he work us to almost the front of the line, they also had to replace the tire. My hubby asked if they had a decent used tire, but they didnt have one for our vehicle. They did have a tire that would fit, an off brand, and we accepted the tire. Im expecting to pay for their time, the tire, and labor. They didnt charge us anything! Nothing! I would have hugged the whole bunch if not for this stupid covid mess! Thank you, to the whole group at Discount Tire, Six Forks Rd, Raleigh NC! Should you ever find your self in a pinch, may someone be as caring, and giving to you, as you were to us. May God bless all of you, always!!

Booked an appointment to have a flat tire fixed. Took 45 minutes after the appointment time to get my car in. But they did the repair for free and within 15 minutes. So I recommend them, just dont be surprised by a wait.

Ordered my tires online, had an appointment but they let me do walk in when i got there as it was less of a wait. Staff peoples were nice. Got to sit in my car as they worked on my tires. Tires are still being broken in, but they ride well and quiet so far. Heres hoping they last me a min like my previous ones. Do wish they did alignments here and not just checks but no biggie. Price wise compared to others I checked out if you want decent tires thatll last a good lil while, offered best price in my opinion. Thanks soo much.

I had one tire on my car that was different from the others. I had a hubcap in my trunk that wouldnt fit on the tire due to this. I went here to get all tires replaces and asked them if they could put the hubcap on the tire without a hubcap. They asked me which one it was as if you couldnt just look and see. Regardless, the guy said they could do it and went out to inform the tech of my request. Once they finished I still have one tire without a hubcap, and the cap is still in the little cardboard box - unopened. I can put it on myself... but it would have taken 5 seconds for them to get the hubcap out and unbox it than to put it on when the tire was already removed. Cant say I wont go back, but this was quite the annoyance.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great prices and they include some things for free that other places charge for such as resetting tire pressure monitors. Occasionally can take slightly longer then expected, but overall great. Have purchased 3 sets of tires there and have always been happy.

Avoid if your tires are plugged - 2 Years ago I purchased new tires for my car. Over a year ago I picked up a nail in a new tire. I had the new tire plugged and have about 15,000 to 20,000 miles on the plug. I had a new nail in the same tire. I took the car to Discount. They removed the new nail and said they could not repair the tire because my plugged tire was not safe to repair (old plug might separate).... after maybe 20,000 miles. They wanted to sell me a new tire. The staff is great, they responded quickly, but I dont need nor want a new tire.

I had trouble finding a wheel key for the lug nuts on my vehicle. Brandon, one of the guys that works here, helped me identify the right one and sold it to me for a good price. I really appreciated that, the friendly attitude, and the solid customer service. Ill consider this place when its time to get new tires.

Im rating my experience here one star. I made a last minute and quick appointment last weekend. To get my tires check because I had to put area in my tires at least 3x a week over the last few weeks. I came into the location and was pretty much brushed off and was told it was just the weather change.🙃 Due to being brushed off woke up this morning to see my driver side tire flat. My car doesnt carry a spare if doesnt have the room nor designed to have a spare. So Im super vigilant about my tires. Plus it doesnt take a genius to figure out something is wrong with your tires if you have to put air in it frequently.Wont be coming to this location anymore. Since your staff doesnt listen to customers.

Guys here helped me with the issue Monitor sensor fault.After installation new sensors in another Discount tire location they tried to retraining sensors and they returned me a vehicle with this message and dome lights blinking, said dont understand and never seen such weird vehicle.In this location smart guy could resolve it in 15 mins and registered all sensors in vehicle system !

I cannot sing enough praises about this store. I bought a car a few weeks ago from a dealership, and didnt notice that although the tread on the tires was fine, the sidewalls were almost completely destroyed with dry rot. I ended up getting a huge hole in the sidewall, an hour and a half from home. As this was the closest tire store, I ended up there. I had just bought a new car, and it was just after Christmas, I hardly had the money to spend on new tires. My representative, Yoni, was the absolute best of the best. He was able to find one used tire that could replace the blown out one until next month. When my car was complete, he let me know that he had found another used tire to put on the other side to make my car safer until payday. The price was right, the people were unbelievably friendly, and they got my car done before the estimated wait time. I will DEFINITELY be back to get the last two tires replaced.

Had an issue with first set of tires and rep saying I couldnt rotate in condition of tires I bought there. On next set different rep gave me credit due to the miscommunication. I thought this was appropriate way to handle and I got $200 towards new set.

I cannot believe I am writing a review about a tire company, but I cannot contain my excitement about this place. This particular location is incredible all the way around! Johnny and Pete specifically are super stars when it comes to legendary service. We could go to so many other tire locations that are more convenient for us, but because of the team here we cannot patronize another. Great prices and fast service

One person has submitted a review regarding puncture repair by plugging. Discount Tire personnel stated that a given tire could not be repaired by plugging and suggested a new tire. The customer had run another punctured tire for many miles and felt Discount Tire was trying to sell new tires.I am a former Director of Customer Service for BF Goodrich and understand tire service.A punctured tire should not be repaired if the repair is close to the edge of the belts. With a repair close to the belt edge, the probability is very high that the belts will separate. Typically such separation occurs when the tire is warm/hot, operating at highway speed.My guess is that the puncture was close to the edge and that Discount Tire personnel were motivated by safety concerns, not just selling another tire.

Changed all 4 tires with Michelin Defender because they were really, really old, like 1/32. We got a lot of favorable recommendation for this place, so we went there, and the cost was reasonable, about $660 for all 4, which is so much better than Lexus service center that asked for almost 1K.

My scheduled appointment was right on time. Professional staff. I even got to stay in my car during my service.

Patched my tire that had a nail in it FOR FREE. Could of easily told me it wasn’t repairable and charged me for 4 new tires as my vehicle is 4WD. I really appreciate their honest work.

I used to like the service earlier. These days when you take your car for tire rotation and balancing...They only rotate the tires I guess. I had to go back with the balancing issue I had and the service representative mentioned that it would take 2 hours. I would suggest the management in this facility to re-check the work done. Im not going to buy from Discount tire anymore. Free tire rotation and balancing services are provided by Costco / Firestone when you buy tires from them.

Went in for a tire rotation and balance, they did an air check too and made sure my tread depth was still safe to drive on. I made an appointment so that I wouldnt have to wait, I recommend making an appointment ahead of time, it shortens the wait time and also how long it takes for them to work on your car. If you have to do a walk in go early in the morning before they get busy. Great service, very quick and friendly. Very efficient, making sure every customer is seen and satisfied. They never turn away a customer.

I was unhappy with the 1st set when i got home, couldnt sleep that night (buyers remorse).Came back the next day and change them out for run flats with a problem. I would highly recommend this store. I gave it two stars instead of one because I have had some decent experiences there before. I believe they have good prices and generally good service. The last two times I’ve had tire rotations I actually made appointments to make the wait as short as possible. I guess when your getting your car serviced you should sit there and watch. Twice I thought I noticed my car in the bay and then out in the parking lot. I tried to speak to sales representative to see if it was done but they were to busy trying to sale tires and not help if you are just getting rotation. So twice my car set in the parking lot for at least thirty minutes while it was done. I was in the shop the whole time and was never told it was done. It seems like you don’t get any help unless your spending money although tire rotations are part of what you pay for. I will no longer be purchasing tires for our families five vehicles anymore. I’m sure they don’t care but they just lost a lot of business.

In and out in less than 30 minutes. The staff was very helpful and polite as well. I want to buy a new tire and the guy said, lets make sure we cant service it first before you have to buy one. That was amazing! I did need a new tire after all but only had to pay $99 with install and balance. This place will always have my business.

So after waiting for a so called good promotion and free installation I get there to find out the week prior when I came in to get my tires offered a better deal so I ended up having to pay more and pay for install. Also the military discount was a joke. I have purchased tires here before a few times and left feeling great this time not the same story at all. I will not be returning. They even told me after they sold me the warranty on a tire that I either had to pay 3 times as much or get a refund a week after the purchase was final.

I swear by Discount Tire. More than just the company, I swear by the Assistant Manager, John Gregorius. He is a stand up guy who understands customer retention, and he always does the right thing. All of my vehicles go to him. Ive also recommended over 30 people to Discount Tire because of John after my first interaction with him over a year ago. My family has bought over 10 sets of tires from them. I have also purchased rims from them at a phenomenal price.I can trust him to make sure the job gets done right, and Ill get the best price possible. I know that hell make sure my friends and family are safe in whatever they drive. I even drive 30 minutes out of the way to buy from him now beings hes not at the Wake Forest location any more.I even remember one time when a friend of mine had been killed. I was low on money because I work on commission and I needed 2 tires to get me to the funeral. I was treated rudely from the Cary location when looking for used 17 tires, so I went and saw John and Ken in (when he was in Wake Forest), (Ken now manages the Durham location) and they took care of me to make sure I was able to make the trip safely instead of riding on a bald tire and a donut. This is truly a grade A company.When John becomes a GM of his own store I will drive the distance because they understand the Lost Art of treating your customers right.If you dont buy your tires here, you are truly doing yourself a disservice.

Had a great experience. Showed up at 5:50 pm (they close at 6) and was driving away with new tires by 6:15. They also made it affordable by recommending two tires instead of telling me I had to replace all four. My tow truck driver was even surprised that they were so honest about it. I have always had a great experience at this discount tire. Unfortunately, today I was in for a tire replacement, and unexpectedly had to replace all four tires. Eric helped me a lot. He took time to call around to all the different tire places looking for my tire, only to find it is discontinued. Eric was patient, friendly, and understanding while I had to make a few phone calls to figure out my best option. The whole staff here is very helpful and very trustworthy. As someone who doesnt know much about cars or tires, I come here with peace of mind knowing that everyone here is truly working to help the customer- not to take advantage. Thank you!!!

I wanted to thank Jonny for his EXCEPTIONAL help and focus to resolve a tire issue with my Audi A8. I had 2 nails in a tire that supposedly could not be repaired according to Audi dealership with a recommendation of buying 4 new tires after 17K miles with thread remaining. He researched the problem, patched the tire (even with foam insert) and did it at no charge. Ive bought many sets of tires previously from them & will be back to get another set of 4 tires in a couple of months when they are required. This is truly customer service at its BEST. I always feel safe after leaving here. Years ago I brought my car in for tire inspection because I knew my tires were near the end. They assisted me in finding reliable yet affordable tires and even pointed out ones on sale at the time. Not long after that there was a snow and ice storm, a big one for the area. While cars were sliding all over, getting stranded, and catching fire, I made it all the way home safely and I thank the kind people who assisted me in selecting those tires. I have since bought a new car and four new tires and continue to go back for the free rotations. Thank you!

Would be a five but they are getting pushy with their $10 per tire replacement certificate. Always fast to get tires rotated or replaced. Great prices and always rebates to be had. Super polite. Just that pushiness this time. Usually not this bad.

Took a brand new in box set of $2k custom wheels to have new tires mounted and balanced. I was assured my beautiful, hard earned custom wheels would be handled with care. When I arrived to pick them up I found the face of each wheel smeared with tire mounting goo, alerting me to the complete lack of care they were shown. Upon further inspection I noticed one of the wheels was blatantly chipped on the edge and the custom finish that I paid extra for was now ruined. I asked for the manager, and was told to wait. After an annoying amount of waiting, Ken came out and proudly boasted that he mounted these wheels himself and there was NO WAY that he did anything wrong. He put brand new tires on brand new wheels after he pulled them out of the box and claims that he had nothing to do with it. I called his bluff, and all he did was say that he was not responsible over and over. In his own half ass customer service style, he apologized, but obviously he just wanted me gone and out of his hair. I finally had to tell Ken to just leave me alone before I lost my cool on his after he messed up wheels that I worked hard to earn. I still never received a receipt either. I wish I could go back in time and pick a different place. Thanks a lot Ken, you suck.

Excellent group. Had a tire issue from a pothole. They had my tire in stock it is usually custom order. Had them inspect and balance my fronts. Found I had a bent rim but suspect tire is ok. Had me out the door in an hour and at no charge. 👍🏼

Service is terrible at this location, I was checked in and asked to park and wait to be taking care of but alas, I waited for more than an hour left and nobody ever reached back out to me. Terrible customer service. I will not return to do business with them ever.

Ken and his staff took really good care of me when I needed to replace only two tires on my car. The staff was friendly and courteous and work with me on a limited budget I made an appointment and was out in record time. I was very satisfied with the service and would recommend them.

They were able to move my appointment up when we were expecting bad weather, and they discovered that the wrong lug nuts had been installed on my truck by the previous owner. They installed the correct ones and didnt even charge me for them. They earned all five stars from this customer! I am very happy with them and highly recommend that you visit this location the next time you need your tires serviced.

I have bought a bunch of tires from Discount Tire over the years. The service was good during my recent visit. The prices are good. If you purchase the warranty with the tires, then when they go bad prior to the end of the warranty (which all tires seem to do), you receive some credit toward purchase of new tires. This keeps you hooked going back to the place that you purchased previous tires from.I was pleased that the tires were in stock. They say that they take appointments, but I havent noticed a difference. There is still waiting involved. In the past, I have had a few issues. However, the staff has always responded and resolved the situations. For that, I give them kudos.

I always get my tires here they are relatively quick so I would suggest waiting. Ken was great.

Love the service here, however was not sure why the guy did not take off hub cap to check rear driver side tire? After all this company was the last to one replacing all hub caps on my car

Brandon was really helpful in fact everyone in this store was friendly and proffesional especially considering how busy it was. As long as they keep operating their business model the way that they I have this is the only place I will buy tires they always stand by their warranty.

Usually great service - unless you talk to Pete. Then not so much. I used to be a client for many (!) years and many cars. After being treated rudely I’d rather take my business somewhere else, even if that means paying a few bucks more. I don’t need any Pete coming along and thinking it’s ok to talk down to someone who wants to have answers to more detailed questions. If you happen to stand in line and you see Pete, turn around and ask for someone else.

My girlfriend had a nail in her tire when she was in the area. I told her to go to this store since I got a good vibe from them when I bought my tires there. They patched her tire completely free and she was good to go. Absolutely awesome service and we will both use them in the future.
