Genuine customer service and detailed care my auto needs. Josue the manager was efficient with asking questions and listening to my needs exceptionally efficient with administration and parts. John was incredible helpful with some questions and knowledgeable in handling my repairs.

This is the best Mavis I’ve been to. The staff is super honest and very knowledgeable. Josue(I believe he’s the manager), was pleasant and very helpful. Dave, the mechanic that took care of my vehicle was very knowledgeable, straightforward and honest. They didn’t at all attempt to up sell me, nor sell me things I didn’t need. Dave actually told me that I didn’t need the work done that I initially thought I needed, which essentially saved me a few hundred bucks. I highly recommend this place. Awesome staff!

Always come here for my oil changes and regular maintenance and have never had any issues. Went in a few months ago for an oil change and they discovered I had a major transmission leak. Danny and his team went above and beyond to ensure that I was taken care of and the issue was fixed quickly and efficiently. Everyone there is always nice and super knowledgeable

Temperature dropped and caused my tires to lose air. I called 5mins beforehand to see if they had anyone available to put air in my tires. Got there and was immediately helped! In and out within 5mins… great service!

Needed a tire repair and also new tires. The priority was the tire that had a warning signal blinking. Needed the car for work later in day. Was very fortunate to visit Mavis in Rahway. Despite it being very busy that day, they got the repair made sooner than promised. Manager, Danny is excellent. They quoted on 4 new tires which I will be getting next month, as price was better than quoted elsewhere and included all extras such as alignment. I highly recommend this Mavis location. TM

The customer service was great. I went there to fix one of my tires and also to get new brakes. Josue took very good care of me and was very professional. One of the mechanics showed me the brake pads that were on my car and compared it to new brake pads and it was clear I needed new ones. Got my tire fix.. I highly recommend this place and I highly recommend Josua.

Once again I don’t understand these many 4 and 5 star. For this google need to look into the matter. But here at this facility service is hopeless and irresponsible. You are at the mercy of nobody. Everyone appear to be passing time. I was handed over car without rotations. A part replacement in the front break wasn’t replaced, which I pointed out as I was looking at through the glass window. Do not be deceived by big number of 4 and 5 stars. I bet stars are not compatible with the service experience anyway at the facility.

Josue & Nelson went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met to get my vehicle up and running efficiently. These men have been my saving grace after a traumatic experience with the lousy dealership Pine Belt Cars. I purchased my vehicle on 5/5/21 & my brakes have been squealing like a shopping cart. The dealership maintenance manager has been trying to tell me this is normal for my $50k car with top of the line Brembo Brakes. I brought the car into Mavis on 6/15/21 to have the Brembo brake lubricant put on and that didnt help. The wonderful knowledgeable manager informed me in detail what was wrong with the car. I contacted the dealership and again was blown off. The knowledge I received from Mavis was 100% accurate & I trusted they had my best interest in getting my vehicle fixed. They ordered the appropriate parts & my vehicle is running 100% as it should. Im ever so grateful that every service Ive received from this location has always met my expectations however, this time the guys outdid themselves and I truly appreciate their hard work & dedication to me as a customer. I hit a pothole on the parkway & put “tire store” in my GPS as I didn’t know where I was. My car brought me to this Rahway location. Danny let me sit in their air conditioned lobby while waiting for my new tire to be delivered to the store. It was lunchtime & he said “Mrs. Covello...what kind of pizza do you like?” This nice, respectful guy gave me a slice from his lunch! They couldn’t get the tire delivered that day so I left my car there & got a ride home. I got my own tire and brought it to them the next day. They put the tire on said “no charge”. Good guys!!!

Got a flat and needed to have the tire repaired. I actually had an appointment at another Mavis Tire Center and when I got there they were not only rude but where acting like it was going to be a great inconvenience to do my tire that day. I left there supper upset and called the Rahway location and spoke with Danny. Not only did he allow me to vent about the other location but he told me he could get my tire done while I waited! I went right over to Rahway and I was not only greeted with a friendly face but my tire was fixed and back on my car in record time! Thank you Danny for helping me out! This will definitely be my go to place for tires.

So my wife when in to get her tire looked at cause there was a slow leak. The guy inside says to her we are really busy, but if you throw my guy a little something, he will look at it and fix it for you. She looked around and one other customer was in there, and he looked at her and was like wow did he just say that. She was in a bind cause the tire was low in air and they took it in and fixed it. She said the guy was standing around smoking a cigarette befiore he took the truck in. Seems like they are pocketing some extra cash, no written documentation for the work. As a previous customer myself, i wont be coming here again, who says if you throw my guy a little something, he will do it for you. Is this what they tell employees to say to customers so that they can get a little extra on the side, this is horrible business. Very unprofessional

THEY SAID. THEY WANTED $120.00 FOR EACH. I TOLD THEM THAT I COULD NOT AFFORD THAT. THEY CAME DOWN TO $80.00 EACH AND I COULD PAY IT IN 6 MONTHS. THAT WAS IT. $160.00 FOR THE 2 TIRES. I brought my car in to have a tire repaired. Jamal was extremely polite and professional. I dropped my car off, and before I knew it they were already calling me back saying that it was completed. They were very busy, but somehow they finished it so quickly.I would definitely recommend this business to others, and I will continue to bring all of my vehicles to this specific shop. Went to this Mavis store due to the fact that we were the dissatisfied with the service at another Mavis store . this particular store on Saint Georges Avenue we were not satisfied with the service, they are overpriced on car repair and we were denied claim coverage with the information that they gave which cost us having a claim denied with. Car Shield . Car Shield informed us that the price for changing a water pump on our vehicle through this Mavis dealer was way over price they were going to charge us $1,200 car Shield informed us we should go elsewhere because the average price was 450 we wound up going to another auto repair shop and indeed the water pump on our car was replaced fully serviced and the final cost was $380 versus $1,200 and then given a reduced price from this particular Mavis dealer saying the best he could do was 900 dollars. Mavis use to be a place we trusted!

Don’t ever come here. They are careless with their work. I came in to have my pads and rotors done, and after a couple days of driving I started hearing a squeaking noise. I brought my car back and they said it was because of the aftermarket rotors and that it would go away after driving. I attend school all the way in tennessee, and school was starting so I had no way of bringing it back to them. So I trusted what they said, and just drove it regardless in hopes that it would go away. Well months later the noise was still there and it never went away. So I brought my car to a shop near where I go to school. And come to find out Mavis technicians careless installed a wrong sized brake pad, in which the technician here noticed right away after looking at my brake system. The brake pad was literally wobbling around in my caliper, and the technician was honestly surprised nothing bad had happened to me or my car because this is extremely dangerous. It ended up damaging several parts of my brake system and now I have to get everything replaced again. Lesson of this story, don’t bring your car to Mavis. Very unprofessional and careless. Something terrible could’ve happened to my car causing brake failure leading to something fatal happening to me. Don’t come here.. I truly hope you don’t. I expect reimbursement for this, because this is not okay. Messing up on a brake job is not something to play around with.

I walked in with no appointment and was taking care of right away. I was out of there in 30 minutes with the issue I was having taking care of. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Guy maintaining desk back and forth between shop was very friendly. Techs appeared to be doing their jobs efficiently as they could on a busy morning. My only complaint is the lack of cleanliness in the waiting room. It was a good thing there was no water bottle in the dispenser because that thing really looked like it needed to be sanitized.

I called this morning regarding an issue with my daughter’s car, was told they were a bit busy but that I could come in. I arrived at noon and was surprised when they told me the car would be ready by end of day. I called for an update at 4pm and true to their word - the car repair was just finished. I have been at the Rahway location several times, Danny, Jonathan & team have always been professional, honest and they have tremendous customer service. As a female, I am usually on guard when I had to walk into an auto repair shop but not at the Mavis Rahway location. Thank you!!!

My car had a flat tire on it. I took it to Mavis(i got a reservation on the same day and i filled air on my flat tire-it was holding air for few hours). The mechanic looked the tire with flash light and said it has 3 nails on it. He asked me to wait for the guy who handled the front desk(i guess he is the supervisor). Without even inspecting he said it has 3 nails and need to be replaced. He was rushing to check for an available tire. I said i am not ready for a replacement and walked out.I got another appointment next day with Firestone nearby and they fixed the tire. It had just 1 nail on it. I paid 30$ to fix(Patch) instead of buying a tire from Mavis.The supervisor/receptionist asked me for the car key and when i handed over the key his hand was fully of grease( i am not trying to be mean - he might be working hard). I felt he could have used a glove rather than getting grease on my car key and the steering wheel.

Very nice and polite right from the get go. Did exactly what they said was going to be done in the time that was said and even worked out a discount to help save a few dollars with all that is going on right now. Will go back again and would highly recommend to anyone. This is the rahway shop on st Georges ave by the home depot

Stay away. They overcharged me 600 for brakes when all I went in for was a tire. On top of nobody being on the same page and my car taking 2 days longer than they had told me, when I got it back it drove terribly nothing like how it was before I brought it to them. They told me I needed new calipers and brake hoses now and it’d be another $800 and I’d have my car back next day. Another 2 days go by and when I Call each different person I speak to has no idea what my car even needs the. to find out haven’t even started on my car yet. Stay away. They kill you on price such an extreme rip off, terrible time management, and on top of that $600 later - left my car driving way worse then before I brought it in. DO NOT RECOMMEND THEY PUSH TO SELL SERVICES NOT NEEDED AND OVERCHARGE ON PRICE

The service at this location (253 St Georges, Rahway) was excellent both times I went there. Employees are attentive the moment you walk through the door. The prices are good and the turnaround is not bad. I have other Mavis Tires closer to my home but opted to return to this one.

I cant say enough about this business. I made an appointment for a leaky tire and I was received upon arrival with great customer service. The waiting time and service was quick. Nice guys...very attentive, professional and friendly. Thank you for fixing it and making my long drive, a safe one. I highly recommend this place.

Trash service, waited 15 mins in the lobby not a single soul to be found. This was 10am on a Wednesday morning. All I needed are the car keys as everything else was done and paid for.

This place is great. They do high quality work and I would recommend them to anyone. I had an emergency tire issue and the owner even stayed open a little late to help me. Not only do they do great work but they are great people as well. I will be going back to get new tires from them soon.

Stopped in this afternoon looking for help with my license plate screws - two had broken off, and I could not get the parts left behind out by myself. Within a few minutes, it was fixed and my new license plate was put on as well, at no charge! I wish I had cash on me to at least thank the mechanic, but I did not. The manager who helped me was so kind and friendly, I will definitely be back in the next time my car needs service.

Update to my last review, spoke to the new terminal manager Archer at Rahway and he advised me to go to will at the union location to get the car fixed at 2 pm today (I work 60+) hrs a week and have two people in my house with special needs so it’s hard to get out. but I get it t covered and show up and the managers name isn’t even will it’s Anthony and he knows no thing about my Case so asks me to drop my car... absolutely not! I call archer to help and he doesn’t answer so I leave a voicemail but he never returned my call even though he took le he’d be on standby. I give the new manager the run down and says it not their responsibility for fluids... so why did it company tell me about power steering fluid ?? And I didn’t even get a oil change sticker when I got not changed. So now they say I need a tune up.Still only a 1 star bc I have to give smthg to leave a grade. Horrible service still and no help! So no fix! Ugh! I will stick to good year!Horrible! Went there Saturday for the first time for a tire rotation and oil change, dropped the car because it was going to be a 3 hr wait, they called to tell me my power steering had to be flushed and another job i cant remember right now, Monday my car starts acting funny and I find out I have no coolant in the car and no power steering fluid! I paid $240 for them to almost ruin my car. I am sticking to Good year which costs me less for an oil change, and they make sure my car is perfect every time I leave. Gave one star because I had to. So Disgusted!

I went to Mavis Discount Tire for the wheel alignment of my car. I met a lot of jobs on the queue. I was informed that my waiting time was approximately 90 minutes, which I agreed with. I was offered a comfortable seat which made me fall asleep. I woke up to find my car almost ready and I left happily within 55 minutes, and my charge was included with discount!

Quick service and pleasant workers. They took the nail out of my tire and plugged it. Very reasonable prices.

Everything was great except that they forgot to call me when it was done. When I called he said ih yeah I forgot to call you, its done come pick it up. The mechanic was extremely nice and helpful when I picked up my car.

DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE!!!! I went in there with an issue they claimed would cost $2000+ for a service they claimed would MAYBE fix it. I already spent $500 for one service that was unnecessary because they thought it would fix it !!! I was skeptical so I went to a local mechanic and they not only found the issue but they also only charged me $300!! And all of this was from me working with the MANAGER ! So if the manager is willing to screw me over then everyone else will!!My advice, go to a local mechanic who doesnt have incentive to drain you of as much money as possible. SUPPORT LOCAL!! Ask around and find someone you could trust and people vouch for!! It’ll save you money and stress!!!

Had a screw in my tire. Came in as soon as they opened. Jonathan was very attentive, polite and provided great service. They were able to fix my tire in minutes (at a awesome price at that!) He also recommended me a few things for the future and was not pressuring at all. Will come again. Thank you!

Great team of workers. John at the desk was exceptional. I had a leak in a tire they took my van in right away and serviced it. They kept me posted did a multipoint inspection. After that they gave me a few recommendations with no pressure at all. Got the flat repaired and alignment done. I highly recommend John and his team! Excellent service.

I got a rental and the back tire got a nail in it. It was annoying to have to do any car services on a car you are just renting but the gentlemen here worked diligently and were great with their customer service. I’m not from this area but glad to leave a review for any locals to stop by for services.

I’m trying to find the words to express my disappointment in this service center. I brought my 2019 Subaru WRX STI to swap a bent rim out thinking I was going to get a professional job done. Boy can I tell you how wrong I was. Shortly after picking up my car the tire light comes on. Mind you my car still has dealer tags on it. I come to find out that they broke the TPMS sensor in the wheel and cleared the code so the light would disappear from the dash. I was also missing a lug nut.. Never coming back.UPDATE: The regional manager Archer reached out to me to handle the situation. An appointment was urgently made for me to have my vehicle repaired at a different location. For that I’m going to raise my rating to 4 stars. Thank you Archer for contacting me.

I brought my car to Mavis due to issues with my AC. I got a call saying someone who worked there previously worked at Honda and thought there was a recall on my cars AC. Well, they were correct...the AC condenser did have an extended warranty. Mavis did not charge for me anything or try to rip me off. I truly appreciate that!
