I love Elite Nails! Won’t go anywhere else! Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Consistent quality over the 5 years I’ve been going there. Give it a try!

It was my first time here and I wont be going anywhere else. My nail tech spent so much time with each and every nail. She is also super sweet! Im so happy with how they turned out and I will definitely be coming back!!

As for the store itself, it was very clean and the nail polishes were all organized beautifully. I will definitely return and would recommend the same to anyone else.

The owner is very nice, the place is very clean & whether you come as a walk in or by appointment they are very helpful! The technicians are great & do an excellent job. I love that they have so many choices of colors!!!

I really wanted to love this place, my friend highly recommended it! I walked in on a Tuesday at 230pm and they seemed a little frustrated by the inconvenience--they must prefer appointments? I got a Deluxe Pedicure. The water in my foot bath was super cold and I asked twice if they could warm it up. She did add hot water but it definitely didnt heat up much overall. My massage chair was broken, which is one of my favorite parts of a nail salon. I was happy with the polish, but it wasnt a very relaxing experience. I definitely wont be back to the location. ⭐️

I showed my tech a picture of what I wanted and she went above and beyond! She did my gel x set and Im so happy with the results !!! Her attention to detail and her comforting service is what made my visit just perfect!

Have damaged nails and very embarrassed by my hands. Have tried other places, but the tech at Elite did the best job! Nails look great!

I had an appointment for a manicure and I showed them a picture of the nails I wanted and asked if they were able to do them, the lady doing them said she could so I explained how I wanted them, immediately she started filing and cut my skin on almost all of my nails and made me bleed on a few and didn’t stop even when I pulled my hand back. She had cut my tips to the length I wanted but when I asked for the coffin shape on them she continued to file until they were basically the same length as my regular nails (if i’m paying for tip I would like them to be longer than my normal nail). Then she proceeded to put color on all my nails even after I told her I wanted two of them to be a clear nail. My nails were not what I had wanted at all and when I asked for them to take them off and give me a refund they yelled at me and threw the money on the counter and walked away. Overall my experience there was very unpleasant and I will not be returning. They showed a lack of professionalism and customer service, and they don’t do quality work for there prices.

I came in for a manicure and i showed the guy a picture of what i wanted and asked if he could do what was in the picture, and after him closely looking at it he said he could. after that i told him i wanted dip with tip. right off the bat he did acrylic, not dip with tip like i asked. then when it came to doing the different colored tips he didn’t use ANY of the right colors like in the photo, not in the slightest. then after finishing and looking at them the quality was awful. every single line for the tips were different sizes and had different curves, my middle finger smeared and he never cleaned it up, and between the colors of tips he did not even fill it in all the way, so in a couple of them there was the nail still showing. it’s hard to explain without photos, if i could show you pictures i would but i don’t know how to do so. if he did not have the right colors or did not think he could do them good, he should have told me and i would’ve been okay with it and picked something else. so i called and asked for a removal and refund because they were not what i asked for at all, and i couldn’t stand having them on. i had them on for only a day. when i called, the guy repeatedly told me he did not want to give me a refund even after i explained everything that was wrong, which is extremely rude when my friend got a refund the day before because they messed up hers badly as well. it makes the business look super unprofessional when giving refunds to some but refusing others. luckily after i went in to get them removed and stood at the desk to talk about the refund the owner of the place just gave me my money back, which i’m grateful for but is also what NEEDED to be done in order to exceed good customer service.another thing, while getting my nails removed the guy was extremely rude, he kept shaking his head at me and my friend as if we did something wrong. he also cut a bit of my skin off of my pinky and it bled a good amount and he still put acetone on it. overall, they are super unprofessional and rude to customers. if you want anything other than solid color, do not come here.

I used to go to this salon pre Covid. Now it’s absolutely horrible. The gal that did my nails was nice but the quality was poor! Getting them redone elsewhere in a few days.

Had a toe fungus a couple years ago after a pedicure there (at 25 years old)... decided I would try again and the gal, Natalie, was super rude and not pleasant. It was a painful $45. Also they reuse nail buffers, etc so not sanitary. If you’re considering going there I would highly recommend going elsewhere. Plenty of nail salons close by!

Had the deluxe pedicure and it was very relaxing. Clean place, nice staff, and the chocolate scrub smelled incredible.

I’ve been here twice now. The first time I went with a friend who goes regularly. The wait was a bit long but my friend was getting a mani/pedi while I was just getting a mani so it ended up okay. The second time I went, they got us in right away and were super quick with service. Both sets of dip lasted me four weeks and were not yet peeling away. I will definitely be back again soon!

I walked in..which started out a good experience...the gentlemen asked me what I wanted done I said I went to another nail salon and two of my nails have popped off within a week. So I asked him to fix it and put a new color on. He said sure sat me down. Then came back and said he could not help me because he said he doesn’t have time. My question is if he didn’t have time why did he sit me down and get ready to start my nails then changed his mind and said no one could help me there today because everyone was booked. I needed only two nails fixed and a color and like I said above I sat down and he got ready to start my nails. Then told me he couldn’t help me. Worst experience. If it was booked and everything why did he go out of his way to have me come sit down and get ready to do my nails!?? Confused and irritated!!!!!!

I loved the women who did my toes! They look amazing too! The women who did my nail, was completely rude, didn’t talk to me thee entire time, made my thumb nail is not straight either. I paid WAY TOO MUCH to get my nails and toes done. WAY OVER PRICED. I would only recommend this salon to people who are okay with paying and arm and a leg. Other than that, I would not recommend this salon. I will not be going back.

Last week was my first time going to Elite Nails. Everyone is very friendly and the atmosphere is very nice. I went for a pedicure and my only complaint is that she scraped a spot on my heel to the point of oozing (not quite to the point of bleeding) with the cheese grater skin remover thing. Its been painful to walk the last few days because of it. Update: Its been 12 days since I got this pedicure and its the worst Ive ever gotten. At a week, I noticed how much the polish was chipping. Last night, I noticed the polish almost completely gone from the toe next to my pinky toe. Its like it just fell right off. The nail is smooth so I cant imagine I scraped it on anything. There is just a fleck left on that nail. So annoyed.

The service was excellent and the wine pour was generous. It is a bit more expensive than other places Ive been to, but the convenience of it being so close by combined with how nice they are is worth it!

Best place in the Johnston/Urbandale area. Always crowded so make sure that you make an appointment. Very clean, wonderful staff.

I am from Texas come and visited Des Moines first time I searched for good places to go and do my nailsI found this place with very good reviews but this place didnt impress me . The service was good but the atmosphere was very quite they didnt smile none of themNow after 1 day I just notice my toes nails are chipping.You need to improve girls, be more friendly !!!!!

Staff is very friendly but they sometimes miss spots on manicures. But overall very friendly and do a great job. They also do eyebrow and lip waxings and do a fantastic job on that.

Before going to elite nails, Ive only ever gotten my nails done once. The staff make it such a great experience for you every time you walk in. The inside is very neat as well.

Very very rude when my sisters and my mom and I went in for pedicures. Laughed at us under their breath. Tried to charge us extra for random things. Didn’t say hello, didn’t greet us farewell. All in general rude.
