Hey, if you about to move in to this apartment complex and u happy for having new apartment let me explain to you what going to happen next 3 months:1- someone going to stole you clothes by residents, I know there is keypad but believe me thats what gonna happen, no camera no ac unit not even fan. If you complain to leasing off ( theyll say SORRY) thats it2- complex management has %0 customer service.3- Strangers walking around the complex at night and sometimes using pool!!!4- they will change u for trash but trash staying on your door for 3 days. This is my experience for 3 months so far and I dont know what gonna happen next ... wait for updates

(huge wall of text incoming)Since moving in, everyone (Alma, Patty, office staff, and maintenance) have been very welcoming and attentive. I would highly recommend anyone to live here. I regretfully am moving due to my work but I would stay if it was not because of that. I have never had a pest issue. If there were issues with air conditioning, maintenance was very prompt with assistance. There was an issue before with the hot water but I think its just because the boiler(?) was being repaired. They do try and give a heads up when repairs are being made or a disruption of service. Just make sure your email and phone number is up to date to get auto responses with apartment campus issues/updates.To address previous reviews, when taking showers, it does fluctuate with hot/cold water but thats probably because each apartment does not have its own boiler. Unless Im totally wrong. For me it was not a game changer and I do not fault the complex. You get used to it if youve lived in apartments all your life. Theres only so much that can be done.It is a kid friendly place. There are also elderly, young couples, students, and disabled tenants here. I love that its multicultural as well as secure in knowing the apartments are safe.Overall I have been pretty happy here. I enjoyed hearing the birds and seeing all of the rabbits. There is an onsite secure laundry mat and Ive never seen any issues with the mail room area.

The layout of our two bedroom, two bathroom, second floor unit was what hooked us on getting our apartment and at a low price considering the area it is located in. My husband and I quickly became disillusioned with the reality of our living situation and now understand why it is cheap to rent here. Appearances are nice, but when it comes to living decently its awful. We are stuck in a year long contract that so far we are halfway on. From day one the showers in both bathrooms have been a nightmare, constantly boiling your skin off one second and then freezing it in another. We have put in several requests to fix the problem which we have been facing for 6 months now. We hardly receive notice before water will be cut off to our building and sometimes well receive it once the water is back at the end of the day. We have called the exterminator twice and our roach problem persists. Do not rent here, especially if you are cigarrate smoke sensitive or have or plan to have children because this place is smoke friendly and the second hand smoke here is ridiculous. We do not smoke but the units that do, smoke so heavily that our unit as a whole smells like tobacco and weed. The ceilings have orange tobacco sludge on the borders of every room and I fear what it is doing to our lungs. Turning on the A/C just spreads the smell of tobacco and weed further and opening windows is our only option to clean air, but with summer coming up it is going to be hard to do so with Texas immense heat, the A/C is needed. We have invested a ridiculous amount of money into candles just to mask the smell but all our furniture, clothes, and other possessions have been penetrated by the smell.

If you want honesty or just any kind of decent place to live this isn’t the place. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money to move somewhere that won’t take advantage of you, laugh in your face when there’s a issue and has constant hot water. I have lived here literally two years and they couldnt even fix the basketball goals that have been broken 70% of the time I have lived here. It’s bug and rodent central including snakes so beware of that. This should be your absolute last choice. If you like hot showers or water this isn’t the place for you be ready for the buildings water to be shut off multiple times a month. On top of all the garbage I’ve already listed they fired the only decent person in the office Miss Debbi, probably for being honest with something that they wanted to lie about.

Move here if you don’t want your security deposit back! If I could give 0 stars, I would have. My roommate and I had to pay a higher security deposit because we didn’t have credit history or cosigners BUT all $400 of it was apparently used on a final water bill (9 days of the month, not even the full month), a cleaning fee, and carpet cleaning (I spent a whole day cleaning the apartment after we moved stuff out so there’s no way the cleaning fee should be that outrageous). This was sent to us in a statement that neither of us got (it’s 2 months later and nothing).

Everything is fine here. The big thing that all other apartment complexes have is a true fitness center with weights and treadmills etc. . Not this place. They only have a tennis court that takes up space and NOBODY USES IT. It would be a great use of space if the apartment company built a true fitness center. So dont be fooled about their advertising that says get rid of your fitness membership. They dont have a fitness center. Other than that it is what it is since 1979. A plus, stores close by and bus routes. ....I wish they had a gym. I wish I wish!!!!

ATTENTION RENTERS! This apartment complex is posted on multiple websites as second chance apartments which is not true. Please call ahead of time because as much as the lady informed they had no clue I doubt their name will be taken off the second chance apartment list which means they are being funded based upon lies. So save your money or end up without $130 as I did because theyre playing clueless about this now if we were refunded back the application fee especially during the economy still trying to recover would be understandable. As the lady stated I was aware of the fee not being refundable after applying but as she discovered for the first time today that I was mislead by the internet I should be able to get my money back. I dont get why apartments do this in a situation like this take money from people trying to relocate to put them in a bind because theyve lost money believing the postings online that Im sure they know about.

Don’t move into these apartments. When I first moved in, the pool was never open because they can’t keep it clean. Good luck doing laundry, because the facility either has broken machines, or the credit card machine is broken, or it’ll take your money. Right now half of the complex has no hot water, what a great time during a pandemic! It’s been out for over a week, so I can’t even do my laundry. The vents are all connected in these apartments so you can smell what your neighbor is cooking or smoking, because it fills up your whole apartment. It has basically zero amenities, so it really isn’t worth the money you’re paying. Especially the slap of white paint they throw on everything so it looks “newer”. Oh and the apartment complex isn’t connected so you may have to drive out onto the main road to get to the main entrance. I don’t recommend these apartments, you can find something better in the area for the same price. The only reason I gave two stars is because management is nice.

We were recommended to this apartment by my sister but I was still a bit skeptical about this place after reading the reviews online. Despite of the doubts, I moved here and I am very pleased by the quick response I have received from the management. I had few issues moving into this apartment and had a list of things that needed some work including cleaning or changing the carpet. After I spoke to the lady at the apartment office about all the issues, my problems were quickly resolved. Debbie is the best.

The worst part of this place is leasing office staff. They’re very rude. They don’t consider any emergency calls. No matter how emergency your problem is they’ll call you after hours and they’ll be like we’ll send maintenance on next Monday or may be other day. When you ask them to fix it ASAP they’ll hung up on you like you don’t Matter. Worst management ever

My family and I moved in here last September. Ms Debbie is the nicest person we dealt with while looking for an apartment. She is always pleasant to talk to and very helpful. This is the first time we have lived in an apartment but it’s a quite place to live. We love that they have a one story option because you barely know the neighbors are there. We feel safe with our child here. Only thing we would really change is next time we will try to get an apartment with a washer and dryer in the unit. We plan to stay here when lease is up if a 2 bedroom with washer and dryer are available at that time.

I lived here in 2005. Floorplans are nice and small. Our 1 bedroom apartment was upstairs. Due to the wall directly in front of the entrance (about 3 ft. The width of the door), we were completely incapable of maneuvering our long couch (seats 3) into the apartment. There was absolutely no way getting past THAT WALL!Nice and quiet area.Had a motor scooter at the time and we were prohibited from starting it up and riding it around the neighborhood. At the time, we actually heeded this nonsense due to our naivety. Also, my ex at the time, got into some trouble with the law and management ended up kicking us out. (Not an eviction). They literally forced us to leave with the threat of putting an eviction on our record.I had an outstanding debt on my credit history for 5 years before they finally dropped the charge.

I lived at fairway apartments for over 3 years and I can say that it is one of the better places to live for the price. I wont say that I havent had some problems here but I will say that any and all issue were dealt with by the management in an amazing way! Christina has made some great changes to involve the community more and make Fairway a great place to live. Also I would like to mention the front desk staff Miss Debbie and Janette. They were without a doubt one of the best parts of living here. They were always friendly and prompt in assisting residents and have always helped me when I had any concern. Fairways may be a slightly older property but it more than makes up for it by having wonderful management staff that makes you feel cared for and welcomed. I would highly recommend living here!

My boyfriend and I moved into these apartments because we thought that it would be the best bank for our buck. Debbie in the front office was wonderful the entire time we were there. I didnt see any roaches luckily but little spiders EVERYWHERE. Our apartment was right under a large tree so that is probably why. I loved the floor plan and how big it was. However these apartments are OLD and they werent cleaned well at all when we moved in.Now the reason all of the stars are taken off. They charged us $50 for not picking up after our dog (which we ALWAYS pick up after her.) If you walk around the little play ground there is dog poop EVERYWHERE.The last couple of months that we lived here we had termites so bad that we had a giant black spot where they were. (Termites should never get that bad especially if youre renting) They did nothing at all to fix it until we had called over ten times. After someone FINALLY came out, they cut a hole in our wall (right next to our bed) and didnt come back to cover it for a week. By the time we had moved out, they did nothing to fix the termites. Id stay far away from these apartments until they get upgrading. And if you move into this apartment make sure they check on the electrical for the washer/dryer outlets. Over 6 months we couldnt wash our laundry in our home because the plug ins were regular wall outlets - not meant for a dryer.

Let me start off by saying I have lived here for over 3 years and have enjoyed some parts of living here; the drive to work, living with my SO, and the office staff being okay sometimes. I can start by saying that when living here expect things to go wrong the minute your move in. There is always stuff that needs to be fixed. Between the shower tempature always changing from hot to cold no matter what, my kitchen sink constantly getting stuck (with me using the garbage disposal that craps out every month) and their lack of notice when people are painting behind us (Shared AC unit, Paint smell seeped into our apartment making it unbearable to even be in our apartment) I just cant really give my stay here more than 3 stars.I will give them the benefit of the doubt and say that their maintance team is great and is very prompt and their community parties are fun.

Tl;dr Do not move here. Just move right along, and pick somewhere else.- Pot smoke through the ventilation because of previous tenants- Water bills were $60+ a month, probably because the boilers kept breaking (thats right. You dont have a dedicated water heater. You share a boiler with half the complex). It was that or the neighbors who watered their dogs constantly all hours of the day- Speaking of water, you had two temperatures. Lukewarm and peel your skin off. The showers were almost unusable because they had no governors and couldnt mix the water well enough. So it was a gamble if you were going to get scalded or not midway through your wash.- AC didnt function properly. After having maintenance come out three times in as many months, we threw our hands up. You use the oven and your apartment was 80 degrees and that was on days when it wasnt 100 outside. Didnt drop two degrees cooler until it was 2am- Bugs. Palmetto bugs climbing in through the deteriorating window seals, constantly. And not just our apartment. Tons of them, all had bug issues.- The windows were single-paned and unsecure. We had curtains up and we couldnt keep the heat out. Oh but they have a fireplace. That drives up the value doesnt it. In Texas.- Most single bedroom apartments didnt have a washer/dryer or hookups, so you had to go to their laundromat. Which worked for most folk if you didnt have to traipse across the entire freaking complex. Nevermind the fact that when the machines broke for a month and an entire colony of mosquitoes moved in on the still water in one of the machines.- Folk kept taking dumps in the pool so it was closed every other week during the summer.- We were lied to about shared ventilation, because we were told that wasnt a thing, but I could smell my neighbors cheap knockoff CK1 every morning at 9am.- Their information online and through google is incorrect. So, keep that in mind.- Frankly theyre owned by Greystar. Another shill for crooks and villains that doesnt care about the people that lives in their buildings. They took the basketball hoops away from the kids that played there. Who does that?

Firstly, the property failed to inform my roommate and me that our previous tenants had BEDBUGS, but Ill get back to that later. The people at the front office are kind, but pitifully unhelpful, and frankly, useless.Upon moving in, our toilet and thermometer for the water temperature regulation was broken. Toilet overflowed every time it was flushed (we only had one toilet, also), and the water in the shower would fluctuate from boiling hot to ice cold for thirty seconds at a time, so showering took half an hour at least--racking up our water bill to almost $100 that was DENIED REIMBURSEMENT even though it was broken upon moving in. It took them three maintenance requests and three weeks to fix this.Roaches. Lots and lots of roaches of all shapes and sizes. Doesnt matter if our kitchen was spotless and all of our food was sealed. We even found them in the refrigerator! After pest control requests (which is already pre-charged in our rent total), we took matters into our own hands and laid down boric acid around the kitchen. This solved the problem. When moving into an apartment, I expect noise from my neighbors living in such close quarters. The floor creaks above us, not a huge deal. Our neighbors were friendly at first (this place appears to be full of families), but we noticed when we would put our trash out, the bags would be untied and sorted through. A couple of weeks ago, someone carved profanity into our door, fence, and wrote it on our sliding glass window. My roommate discovered that our next door neighbor had been digging through our trash. For what, I dont know, but I feel ZERO sense of security here. Our kitchen sink has backed up and flooded from the walls and pipes multiple times, our dishwasher broken, a rank smell of dead animal has been ever-present in my bedroom since I moved in (with no response from multiple maintenance requests), I can hear the coolant from the AC gurgling loudly in my bedroom walls... we have never gone two weeks without calling maintenance. And I dont believe we have been unreasonable! We only have one toilet and shower, and if the kitchen plumbing goes out, we cant clean up after ourselves-- which, again, roaches!!And now the bedbugs. It began at the beginning of the first month after living here. My skin was breaking out in hives for no obvious reason when I would sit on the carpet or my furniture. My roommate, who is far more sensitive to outside influences than myself, was experiencing it much worse. We both ended up at the doctor and came home with prescriptions of STEROIDS because we were having chemical burn reactions to something in our apartment, a cleaning agent perhaps. Weeks later, the bites began. These were vastly different from the breakouts. Its inescapable. The itching, the sense of being trapped in a box full of bugs. The property offered little to no assistance, the little assistance being a bedbug treatment (with the same chemicals that were making us break out into rashes in the first place, I assume?) that they wanted to charge us almost $200 for! Again, not our fault! Neither my roommate or I have ANY history of bedbugs in our previous living quarters. When we began to dig, we discovered that the previous tenants of our unit had bedbugs, and the property failed to inform us of this.LANDLORDS ARE LEGALLY OBLIGATED TO PROVIDE A HABITABLE DWELLING. This was far from it. Fairway, you are so lucky that I have zero patience and time to take legal action over this living nightmare of a property you call homes. I wish I could go back in time and kiss myself six months ago for insisting on a short lease! I have never been so ready to move away from a place--and in this sense, I feel as if I am escaping to freedom.Do. Not. Move. Here.
