I have been living at Mission Gate for many years now. Although it has not been a great experience for last few years, but i would not shy away from admitting that recently there was an instance where the current property manager ANGELA has helped me with her kind gesture. And I want to take this opportunity to appreciate it. I would really hope that this kindness expands to everybody who works or will work in future at the leasing office to develop a welcoming attitude towards residents with a helpful human touch and by trying to understand their problems from their perspective. This will definitely improve the image of Mission Gate in the eyes of residents. Thanks again for your help Angela !

If you are thinking to lease your apartment here at Mission Gate, Please THINK a ZILLION TIMES!It is not worth to move in to this community at all! The leasing office will offer you Zero Maintenance, zero customer service, be highly insensitive to any of your service requests.Call their office, you will be either put on hold and abruptly disconnected or you will end up always with their voice mail. Emails go unanswered. Their online portal is as useless for raising any service requests!While I was wondering why there were so many negative reviews, it is true that this leasing office or the Maintenance team is at its WORST!@MissionGate - Please dont add a template driven comment as response. You will have my details in your file. Call me if you want to discuss anything!

It is not worth your time to explore this community. You are better off staying away. There is no maintenance for issues for over months and sometime if you dont remind, it will stay like that for over years. Management doesnt care about residents at all

I rented for 12 months, and it was the worst living experience of my life. Aside from the absolute havoc that the winter storm caused on multiple buildings, I have dealt with 2 floods, 2 ceiling leaks, cockroaches, black mold, plumbing nightmares, and theft from my own apartment.Management was unresponsive, dismissive, and patronizing to my concerns to my well-being and that of my toddler. I would not recommend this complex, nor the property management company, to my worst enemy. Gables Residential has been silent throughout my pleas to corporate, and their lack of response is astounding. Do not consider living here or any other Gables property, for that matter.

This place is very nice and well maintained in the outside and landscape area. Apartment rent are reasonable. Neighborhood remain quite most of the time. Apartment Trash collections are priced by usage. Gated community with multiple entry/exit.$$$

Edit: The service by the management has gone downhill in the last year since my previous review.The maintenance team is non-existent. I have maintenance tickets from March 2021 still pending in May 2021. Whenever you call them or visit leasing office for an update they will say we will call you back with update but they dont ever do that. Getting a date on tinder is easier than date from the maintenance to fix something. If you are lucky and get a call from management, they ll have one these excuse ready. 1 Oh, We are running short on staff, 2. Units affected by winter storm have to be repaired first(Storm was in feb 2021), 3. Only one guy working today..God bless people living here. 1 star for location.5 stars for the maintenance team here .The technicians, maintenance staff here are both skilled and courteous (which is a rare combo now a days).Recent experience: I submitted a maintenance request regarding the air conditioning unit on the portal, went to prepare a cup of coffee and before it was ready the staff was at the door. The tech explained the issue, replaced the part and cleaned up the little debris from opening a socket (even though I told him to not worry about) all within an hour. wow!

We loved Mission Gate so much that we moved back from Uptown Dallas. The new updates of granite and wood looking floors blew us away in our old now newer looking townhouse units. Maintenance is stellar and the security gates work consistently now. HUGE PLUS! Y’all have made this neck of Plano/Frisco that much more inviting. Bike trail right outside the complex has inspired my family to do some riding too. Keep up the great work!!

#### EACH 1 STAR REVIEW HERE IS GENUINE, This is the worst managed community in the area ####The property management here has been the worst I and many others have seen (or imagined). The buildings were very badly hit after the water was turned off throughout the community and there was power outage during the Texas winterstorm ~ Feb 14. Its been more than 50 days and they have not been able to restore our lives back (all this while collecting full rent whether your rented place is livable or not, whether or not you have access to all of it). I and many others would have been more forgiving if you could see them making the extra effort to do the repairs. But no clear communication, no workers working like its an emergency, they are treating this more like a long term renovation project rather than an emergency that it is with residents having all kinds of troubles. Below is the complete timeline of my horrible experience and Id really ask everyone to be very careful and choose a community with a good reputation during tough times.2/15 - Lost Power which was not restored until 2/192/16 - They shut off the Water throughout community without attempting individual unit shutoffs or even having the sprinkler line drained. This caused several leaks all around and then they had no plumbers until 4 days passed and even after that I think it was 3-4 plumbers working only 10-5 and not round the clock. So most units had no water for ~ 2 weeks. I got my water back after 9 days. During all this time they kept claiming on public forums that they were not finding plumbers or materials, yes thats what happens when you start looking for them 4 days too late. Every community in the area was back up to regular in under 4-5 days and they did not get their supplies from MARS.2/24 - I got water and everything was ok except that the plumbers had torn down an exterior wall to repair a leak.3/23 - They sent a demo team saying they needed to remove flooring and vanity from my guest bath. When I asked when they would be restoring it, they said they did not know. The team came removed the flooring and vanity.. and surprise surprise, they also cut the drywall from inside the bathroom. The outside wall had already been cut a month ago and so I have no exterior wall in my guest bath. I ask them when they plan to repair this as this is neither safe nor healthy, still no answer .. as a mater of fact there has been no reply to my email asking for repair details since March 8I still do not have access to my guest bath and since the walls are cut out, I cant even control the air inside my unit and am having a serious issue of pests and rodents just walking into my unit when they please. I hope they do not blame this delay on availability of contrators and parts as the only thing needed are tools, some dry wall and flooring and my unit can be made safe and livable in ~6 hours but as I said earlier these people are least bothered about retoring life of residents.Probably more concerned about getting the vacant units repaired first so that they can get new tenants in for more money. So if youre looking for apartments in the area Id suggest look for something else and if you still want to move in, try to take over leases from existing residents who are fed up of this management.

I reviewed Mission Gate on a different platform last year shortly after moving in. The staff are professional, friendly, and made the process of leasing the apartment very easy. I am leaving another review in the wake of the recent Texas winter storm. My building was the first to lose power and water. Our apartment also had some flooding in the kitchen and dining room. While there was plenty outside Mission Gates control, the staff has been very responsive during this time, daily communicating the progress being made in restoring its buildings, and providing necessary services for the residents that have been most affected. I recommend Mission Gate for its location, wonderful courtyards, and, of course, the staff!

The most worst community in the Plano, Frisco areas I have seen so far. All the communities also restored back to normal operations 2 days back but still Missiongate is working on water issues. One star is also more I feel. Please don’t step In to it by mistake also. Management sponsoring 5 water bottles for family in the absence of water in community. Water for regular usage you have to bring from either club house or any where if available in community. Management not providing in cans too. Worst worst worst community. The interest they show in rent increase they don’t show in resolving issues. They provided 100$ for water management to family, who, cares this when people faced huge trouble for all these 7 days. They have to cut rent 50% for the inconvenience caused. I asked for carpet replacement after 4 years they are expecting me to bare these charges. Several issues.

I changed my experience to a 0 star. I have dealt with rats in front of my porch, rats in my garage, attic rats, work orders not being addressed and one month later and still have not been addressed, I moved in 7/2020. I emailed to change units, and have not heard anything back. I emailed the mission gate email for maintenance and ccd Angela and Barbara recently stating my order hasn’t been addressed. I plan on writing a letter to leadership, their boss, their bosses boss, and whoever else. I would not recommend this complex to anyone!! We are very clean and tidy and to live like I’m in the projects is crazy! I’ve seen other people garages look like a garage dumpster. Worst mistake ever!!! RENTER BEWARE

When I called and asked for more information I was helped by Jessie. She was so helpful and told me everything I needed to know! 05/07/2021:The community is good but the management not. One of the worst management I ever seen.. The management hiring too cheap vendor for repairing and cleaning the community and they take too much of time to complete the process(As of now they didnt complete anything, they simply coming and visting my room and they went back without doing anything). when we ask questions to the management they simply reply we are extremely sorry for your inconvenience and they ask us to please be patience.. I dont know how long we have to wait for patience!!!Initially they said they are going to complete the process with in 10 days but now they are sending mail we are gonna take more than a month,Note: Those who are looking new community in west plano please dont choose Mission Gate.Mission Gate Management - Simply Waste.03/03/2021I’m staying in this community almost 3 years but the current management is too worse in their service.. they are not properly respond our request and queries.. whenever I raised a request and they take too much of time to respond the request and sometimes I went to the leasing office directly for explaining my issues but no use.. at the moment only they nodded after they didn’t take care the issue..they stopped the water supply without communication, if they stopped water supply without communication then how could we manage in the room and what we do for basic needs??Change the management

I love this community but the service is really horrible..its been almost a week now since the snow storm which forced me to leave my appartment and rent 6 nights in a hotel due to the power being cut which is something I can understand but coming back home and now its my second night at home since then with no water in our household!!!the management is communicating with us through emails without an actual actions..just promisesFew employees working that we can barely see or even notice..We are now using our drinking water to clean, to shower, to flush the toilets,,we have kids and this is really difficult to manage things without having water at home ..I would never reccomend this community to anyone..this is beyond too much .

Worst management and apartment. I have never seen this kind of management. I placed the work order 1.5 months ago and they always have an excuse for one or the another thing. Very poor services. Not at all friendly with the residents. BE AWARE BEFORE RENTING THIS COMMUNITY......you will going to regreat your decision after coming here.....

Very poor home quality and very bad maintanence.. They still have not recovered from the winter storm when all near by localities have recovered... Cant imagine how old and sub standard community this is to live.... Im not a plumber but you can imagine even after they have 10 different companies working on time fix they cant fix water even for onee single building in the complex..... They think Giving a 100$ credit and 5 waterBottles a day is gonna solve the problem ...Just Terrible

Posting in regards to recent winter storm:Finding out these are old buildings, currently the only apartments in the area still without running water (10+ days) and one of the last to get electricity returned. Management put 2 porta-potties in a parking lot to suffice. and is giving out single gallons of water to households. Unacceptable for families experiencing displacement and many other expenses at this time.And Im willing to bet I get the same BS automated response that everyone else has gotten :)shoutout to the plumbers and maintenance working on the issues, everyone else in administration should be fired :)

This apartment doesnt have water and electricity since last 10 days. This apartment is not livable. On 2/15 I had to move out that apartment due to this problem. Due to winter strom and  extreame cold I was sick and my body was getting numb. As heaters were not working, inside temperature was same as outside temperature which was 10F.  I am paying $150/day since last 10 days. I called Mission Gate Leasing office but mostly they are not responding. They received my call once and hung up the call. They are not helping at all. I cannot afford to pay rent at 2 places at the same time. I have already paid $1500 till now for the room. I am not going to pay the next month rent as I cannot handle this expenses caused by Mission Gate. Either Mission Gate should pay my per day expense until apartment gets ready to live or I am not paying the next month rent. Most rude people I have seen in Mission Gate management. If I dont get my money then we are going to Tenants association with all my neighbors(who are staying in Mission Gate) and we will raise a complain against Mission Gate. We all have decided that we are not going to pay the rent to Mission Gate. Worst Apartments Ever!!They are just interested in your rent only. Dont take apartment in this community. I am goving one star as there is no option to give 0 points to this apartment.

This is the worst apartment... I have lived in Austin earlier., the services were excellent but I m staying here from past 1 year... The maintenance is bad, I this situation of pandemic and emergency, the mgmt showed zero interest in helping families staying in this community and left them with no power and no electricity with no responsibility. **UPDATE: I first wrote my review in the frustration period of the Texas grid shut down. I had been without water for a large period of time, with no foreseeable end to the dilemma. Luckily for me I got my water back with no leaks in my unit.BUT, let me make this clear. This is not the only problem with the community. This was just the most pressing issue at the time. Lets start with how they even handled the water shut off debacle. Basically, there was little to no communication on their part for the beginning of the shut offs. Later, they resorted to sending email updates daily (mostly) to keep the residents informed on the status of the repairs. These emails were vague, cookie cutter, and copy-paste attempts at having evidence that they were doing the bare minimum. After almost TWO weeks of no water with no real deadline as to when it would be returned, I got lucky enough to get off work with JUST enough time to catch management in the leasing office and express my frustration with the lack of communication. It was only THEN that I was able to get a comprehensive answer on how the repairs were going. Which is ridiculous. At this very moment, some of the units still needing repair due to leaks are still under construction. Its almost June 2021.Now lets begin with the actual units themselves. If the above evidence of their poor communication and slow maintenance work isnt enough to dissuade you, let me clue you in what you would be paying for. Firstly, upon signing your lease you will find the process speedy but incomprehensive. Each agent will give you conflicting information and/or leave out key details of your living experience that you would need to know. And good luck trying to contact them if you cant make it to the office in person.The units are old and cheaply made. The kitchen cabinets and stove are covered in this white or black plaster-like material that bubbles up in contact with any moisture. Which is, UH, VERY inconvenient in an area known for creating moisture??? Some of your doors are poorly fitted and will need to be shoved and tugged to open or close properly. If people live above you, guaranteed you can hear their footsteps and any music they might be playing. So fingers crossed you get polite neighbors? My living room walls are so thin I can every word a person standing outside is saying very clearly.Did I mention theres a bug problem? Because there is. Thats right. Im not sure where theyre coming from. I havent been able to find the source since I moved in. But house flies and fruit flies/gnats are a serious issue. Everyday I find one or two dead on the ground, sometimes flying around. Ive taken to attaching fly traps on all my windows to deal with the issue. I have to change these weekly due to the amount of gnats/ fruit flies that end up on them.Lastly, the stupid trash valet. You are forced to pay monthly for this service. The idea is that you can leave your trash bags outside your door and someone will pick it up for you in the evening for most of the days of the week. Except the reality of it is that the service comes and goes at its own leisure. You just leave the bag outside and HOPE that it will get picked up that day, or eventually, until you get fed up and lug it all the way to the end of the community to toss it in the loaded community dumpster. Which leaves you thinking to yourself, why am I forced to pay for a service that clearly doesnt work?These people are criminals. Every single word of the one star reviews you see posted are true. All the good reviews are mostly fake. One of them is even from a leasing office agent. They undoubtedly are finding the cheapest solutions for their massive infrastructure issues and have little care for how much it impacts their residents. I wish I would have seriously listened to these reviews instead of foolishly signing onto what I thought was a good deal. Save yourselves the headache and find another complex that actually cares about you, so it’s worth it to pay into them.

Horrible apartment to stay, this is one of the oldest apartment in this area. During this winter storm leasing office response was pathetic. No power, no water and no one responds to your calls. 40 pipes broke and all the buildings they stopped water. In 24 hours we got only 3 hours power and freezing to death. They are prompt in collecting penalties, overall community has three maintenance guys and you will die before they fix the problem. Run out of this community if you care your family

Thanks!My suggestion please take all the photo before move out the apartment and earlier if you signed any form for cabinet issue which they cant fix it. Because I didnt take any photo. While moving out I kept my trashcan in patio but for me they charged for that and cabinet too. They simply saying my trashcan was not in the apartment. I kept in the patio and locked the apartment and handover the key. Still I am confusing how it was missing even my apartment was second floor. By mistakenly I didnt take any photo.They asked me to send mail I send so many mail regarding this but I dont get single response.

Once you sign the lease you become their captive .. BE VERY CAREFUL ...We are still awaiting repairs from the Feb winterstorm (yes February), the Gables management is happily collecting full rent and the contractors are only working on vacant units so that they can make more money. Residents like us are totally ignored. Be very careful and look somewhere else if you want to live in peace.Update 5/4 - Almost 3 months from the Winter storm, we are still waiting for repairs. no communication that its rescheduled .. and they wont even respond if you ask .. Be aware !!!1. Has lot of extra charges .. example: Valet Trash.. but never pick up other stuff if not fit in trash bag.2. Community is very old .. will have lot of maintenance requests..3. Little noisy..4. After snowstorm, lot of maintainence staff left and nobody will care about you.I raised an emergency request for dishwater water leak but nobody came up even after a week, multiple times went to LEASING OFFICE they just note it down but DO NOTHING.5. Very bad service is expected here now. SEARCHING for new communities !!!

Its been over a month since we had to evict our apt due to the winter storm and here we are still awaiting for ETA or help with temporary accommodation yet from the management of Mission Gate.The least we could have expected is a callback/reply to our multiple follow ups. This is exhausting, frustrating and shocking.

Its been 2 weeks they could not replace one single light in front of doorway which is completely dark in the evening. My worst experience in last 10 years.

Easily the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. Any complaints the residents have fall on deaf ears, as the staff and management could not care less.Loud construction crews are working from 6am-11pm, already limited parking is taken up by machinery and supplies, and the walkways and parking lot are covered with roofing nails, shingles, and screws which are never cleaned up.There are fights in the parking lot between residents which have prompted more than one 911 call.Service requests are ignored, leaving apartments infested with cockroaches, wasp nests, and racoons in the attic, as well as faulty cabinets, defective air conditioner units, and broken door locks.Little to no notice is given as to when someone would be coming inside your apartment, and I have been rudely awoken on multiple occasions to a service man opening my door.Plano is full of excellent living spaces, so Mission Gate should be the absolute last place you choose.

My husband & I love this community already. We love how clean & well kept it is. We feel so safe & homey here! We LOVE the beautiful courtyard our balcony overlooks, so peaceful! I did have to give our apartment a proper deep clean when we moved in though, I’m not sure it was cleaned at all after the previous resident moved out.

Still no water after 15 days. They told us they were working on it right after the freeze ended when in reality they only just started working on our building a few days ago. Updates have remained vague and the helpline we were sent is not responding. But hey, at least they gave us a $100 credit! Not a good look.

Its been 12 days with no water and moreover i do not see any progress made in the unit to fix the issue. We do not have an ETA nor i see things moving on priority, but the monthly rent was charged in full despite not able to fix the water problem since 12 days. A very disappointing service.

Worst apartment ever. We are out of water since 5 days now. Every other community nearby have restored their water issues within a day and this community is small and with comparatively less number of apartments still they can’t fix it. Never faced this type of maintenance issue till now. Their every email states that we are working, if you guys are working then even after 5 days or working you are not able to restore water. Also we see just few people working and they keep stating that many different companies are working. Really!!! Even they don’t know the ETA and even if they know they don’t even bother to inform us. Also after 5 days they suddenly remember to provide water that too just a gallon per apartment. This is what you are doing for your residents. We pay huge amount and in return get nothing when we are really in need of something.

Since the change in management, things on property have ran so much more smooth. Communications between the office and tenants is clearer; less of a turn-around time. Maintenance requests happen faster, are more thorough. The cleanliness of the grounds has improved; less rubbish. Did I mention you can communicate with the office personnel better? No hold times and messages are returned in a timely fashion.

Dear Mission gate, I have logged a compliant related to water leak from master bath shower. Your maintenance and external vendor did a wrong diagnosis and broke my shower floor and redo the whole floor and tiles(very ugly way), since it was wrong diagnosis water leak still going on and i was begging you to come for an inspection. in spite of my repeated requests, no one visited my apartment and i am out of shower from last 4 weeks. I have sent several mails to mission gate and gables still no response from anyone. Are you guys listening ??????

My family and I live here at Mission gate for 1 year and we loved it from day 1. We really dont have much to complain about expect that the gate was not working 1 month after we moved in and it almost took a year to have all the gates working, but the most important things we need and expect Mission gate provided those. Neighbors are good, the areas is always clean, barely have maintenance issue, but if there was its completed on a timely manner, we feel safe here and dont have to worry about inconsiderate neighbors, loud noises for the most part. Great location!!!

Would like to commend the maintenance staff for their prompt response to our dishwasher replacement. This is a relatively new group of personnel and they are great! We have lived here for 9 years and have been through a few changes in management and staff. They finally seem to have it right .Thanks again for the quick attention.

First off I am not a resident, but I attempted to view the complex and was turned around at the door due to new policies during pandemic. Understandable, however when I called to make an appointment to view property Leasing agent left me on hold and I ended up going through website to attempt to schedule appointment. Text then responded with we will reach out to confirm appointment. No one reached out and I then proceeded to call and inquire and was given no reason why I had not received a follow up. After phone call we scheduled a time to view and I was running behind schedule and management REFUSED to allow me to view and declined rescheduling another appointment. If you value Customer service DO NOT LEASE from them.

I lived in this apartment for a year and I have to say it’s a great place to live. The front office manager, Elizabeth Taylor is the best apartment manager I have ever worked with. She truly goes a step beyond to make sure every detail or problem you come across is taken care of. The maintenance is prompt and friendly and I truly enjoyed living here. If I didn’t have to move to be closer to my job, I would have stayed here much longer.

Loved their three bed units. Absolutely gorgeous apartments. Not sure what all the one star reviews are about. Sure, sometimes maintenance could be a little slow, but all in all a great place to live.

I lived here for 4 years, and only left when I had to move closer to Dallas for work, but wish I could have stayed. The property is quiet and well kept, the staff is super helpful and friendly, and the property offers a ton of amenities from package lockers to a clubhouse for tenants and a pool with gas powered grills for ultimate summertime activities. Tucked away in a charming neighborhood by White Rock Creek you can take pleasure in afternoon bike rides or early morning jogs. Plus there is a Walmart/Sams Club and Home Depot down the street if you ever need anything. Definitely one of the best properties in all of Plano.

Very poor staff. Staff treat you like cattles. I went as a visitor last month to find my new apartment and the staff did not even allow to use rest room. The apartment are very unclean and not maintained well. Stay away.

I have lived here for 5 years and loved it. That however has changed in the last month. Barbara who works in the office was completely rude and condescending to me when I spoke to her regarding a matter I NEVER had a problem with the entire time I’ve lived there. I regret recently renewing my lease.

Lived here around 10 months and extended my lease for another 12 months. The community is good with many parks,a gym,a yoga-room and a pool. It is in an apt location close to work place and grocery stores. The maintenance staff and the leasing office staff are always welcoming. Occasionally we have recreational activities conducted by the community for the residents.

@ Mission gate Managemento Worst maintenanceI logged a ticket 4 weeks ago that my master bedroom shower is not working. They are saying you have two bathroom, manage with that, we have emergency calls. From last 4 weeks same answer. Actually they are least bothers about the regular complaint, you break your head even by going to leasing officeTo show you they will print your complaint and say tomorrowThe same thing they did with me twice and no one came so farOnce again worst maintenancenever recommend any one to come and join this apartment

Today I got home to receive a warning that if my trash was left out, Id be fined. It was put out the night before to be picked up by their trash service and the service didnt pick it up. Fine your trash service, not me.Front office got tired of holding packages so they added a great new system by adding in outsourced lockers on the site and passing the cost over to tenants. I now have to pay to receive my packages to my own home. Very customer oriented.Ive been dealing with leaks in my apartment for about six months now. They came by once and finally fixed 1 of 2 leaks over 3 months after it started leaking. Came home today to find out the second leak hadnt been fixed and that we now have an additional leak upstairs. Currently no idea when someone will be out to fix anything. Also the complex is unwilling to cut the price of anything. My apartment is officially overpriced until they repair the holes.

For past 4 days, I have been suffering like anything in this cold weather without water and power.We tried to contact the leasing office people multiple times via email and calls.most of the times they never attend calls and if at all they respond to the email stating that they dont know the ETA for the issue resolution.worst part is they are not even making any alternate arrangement.They are not even concerned about residents safety.Lot of buildings are flooded and no one even care to dry it.

Barbara in the leasing office is rude and not quite the multitasker.Is she the only employee that works here!?This is my second attempt at picking up my drivers license and returning my friends apartment keys. The first time, she went on a tour and I had to get back to work so i figured Id come back.This second time, i come back and she acknowledged me but takes more people on a tour. I just want my drivers license back!!! How hard would it have been to go back to wherever she has my DL and grab it in exchange for the keys!!?? Here i am though, waiting for her to complete her tour.She needs more help in here, clearly. Rant over.

I have lived here almost a year now. I have used maintenance a few times and their response is almost immediate. My A/C had an issue and they were there within the hour. They couldnt get the problem fixed that evening so they brought in a portable A/C unit to keep my apartment cool. They installed a new sliding screen door for me when I asked because I didnt have one. The staff are always courteous and helpful. Im really not sure why the reviews are so negative regarding this complex. If you have realistic expectations for an apartment complex, this is a great place to live. Affordable and clean units. Attached garages if desired. Ive really enjoyed living here compared to some other places.

What a wonderful place to live! Choosing a new home is hard, you never really know how it is going to be. I have been impressed every time I have had interactions with the office or maintenance. Love all of the new things going on. Management communicates well about anything that might be an inconvenience and I have never experienced that in an apartment before. Only lived here a few months and definitely plan on doing another lease here!!

Honestly, this is a fair complex for the price! You run into a lot of common issues youd expect from apartments like slightly competitive parking and somewhat dinky appliances, but these are some of the lowest rates you can find in Plano. My (non-emergency) maintenance requests are filled within 1-2 days and the front office staff will help as much as their jobs will allow.The complex has a lot of residents so sometimes you may have to be on top of your own business instead of expecting everything done for you-- ideal for singles and couples maybe, rather than entire families. I havent experienced a lot of the horror stories from other reviews, for the most part everything functions like youd expect. Its definitely not for those seeking luxury but is an all around decent place to live!

My husband are in this complex solely because we have dear friends that live here too. If it werent for them, we would not live here. They make it difficult to pay rent online. We have lived here for 3 years and you would think after showing longevity here and some type of loyalty they would respect that, however they have no grace with their residents. They are quick to fine you and their is no grace if you happen to be a day late on your rent. Their rent cafe is a terrible, non user friendly system. Their trash system is so difficult. We have gotten fined for leaving our trash out but half the time when we leave it out during the right times it doesnt get taken. Very inconsistent. We have seen way too many huge cockroaches in our home and have had off and on ant issues. We are tired of not being appreciate as residents here and will not be renewing our lease.

Mission Gate has always been one of my favorite places to live. The location is prime esp. with all of the new business, restaurants and shopping that is going up. My apartment layout is one of a kind, spacious and great for entertaining. Office staff is genuinely great to work with, caring and sweet.

I went here yesterday to look at an apartment and was pleasantly surprised by the very friendly staff and the beautiful community. I was greeted right when I walked in with a smile and a handshake and everyone was very helpful and polite. My lease isnt up for another 6 months (I like to stay ahead of the game!) but I will definitely be back here to see whats available when I need it!

When I wake up in the mid night and walk in the kitchen, I can easily find 2 to 3 cockroaches on my counter. Lots of bugs. We were even had red ants many a times. Service requests are not at all taken care on time. Should keep reminding them. May be the upgraded ones are better but surely not the old ones.

Great place if you like living in filthy roach infested units with a staff that will shirk all possible responsibilities at every corner. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE RESIDENTS. After months of looking, I can upon Mission Gate. When I walked in, there was only one agent available a s she was helping another group. As soon a she finished she offered to help me. I explained to her exactly what my wife and I were looking for in a new home. She quickly found the perfect apartment for us. She made the whole experience fun and easy. She even gave my wife who was home a tour via FaceTime. We applied for the place on the spot. I am looking forward to come home to this place everyday.

The community is so nice and everyone is friendly. I love the peacefulness of the area and how in the morning you can hear the birds. Elizabeth has been wonderful in the whole process from the application, making the lease and resigning for another year. Great place to call home.

Dont waste several precious months of your life and money on this place. Weve had to put a maintenance request for every single appliance except for the stove. The only internet you get is AT&T and even after paying for the package with the highest speed, the internet is super slow. Their trash valet service is very unpredictable and doesnt pick up the trash on advertised time. The move-in process was not fun either. The carpets were wet on the day of move-in. One of the heaters wasnt working. We had to wait for a hour and a half to get our keys on a hot sunny day! The security gates are a joke and are open 24/7. The water in the master bathroom smells like a rotten egg when you first open the taps. There were small black particles in the bathtub water that would stick to the bathtub. I probably didnt mention all the issues we had with this apartment but this should be enough to help you make a decision!! I cant wait to move out.

Not a bad place overall. They just changed management and the new manager is on point. As mentioned in a previous comment, I can hear my neighbors walking around upstairs, but thats the only negative so far. The work out facility is nicer than most apartments, and the complex itself looks very nice.

Without a doubt, this is the worst apartment I have ever lived in.The community itself is a mess. Dog poop left everywhere, off leash dogs despite multiple emails from staff, and children CONSTANTLY riding bikes without helmets and playing in the street in the dark (because streetlights are completely inadequate) with zero regard to traffic. I was legitimately concerned that I would hit a child someday in this complex, due to the lack of lighting and parenting by the unfriendly neighbors in this complex.My actual apartment was mediocre when my refrigerator wasnt going out while on vacation and pipes werent falling out of the walls, flooding my apartment. It was fine when I didnt have some form of bug infestation (roaches, millipedes, even geckos). Maintenance was a good group of guys, but would often take several days to complete a request. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE GABLES 24 HOUR MAINTENANCE GUARANTEE. That only applies to Gables owned properties, which this is not. You will quickly discover this through the massive number of mandatory inspections. Dont bother trying to get a certain time for them to come if you have a pet - they will say theyll come but not show up and threaten lease violations when your door is locked.I had a great leasing agent when I signed, but turnover in the office is so high that I felt there was a new person behind the desk every other week. Unfortunately, the office staff that would stick around was incredibly unprofessional. Want an package? Better wait 20 minutes for them to help someone who is trying to get a new apartment, instead of helping those who are already residents. Other reviewers are correct, the positive reviews of this community are largely left by the leasing office staff (or people who have not yet experienced this awful place).Only plus here is I did not require any damages payment when my lease ends, which means I FINALLY have the power to write this review without fear of retaliation.

I came to look at these apartments with my husband and let me tell you...RUN! Run fast. There is a woman named Elysa there and she is easily one of the worst people Ive came across in my 26 years of life. She was unbelievably rude, slamming drawers and keys on the keyboard. I decided to just bite my tongue and deal with her politely. Until she told me that she could only show my husband the apartment because I didnt have my ID like he did and that he could take pictures for me to see. Then she proceeded to say, Do you have a passport? That was it for me. She came across condescending and racist. I will NOT be leasing here and I can see by the rest of the comments that Im not alone in having issues with management. To the manager: work on your staff. Clearly its evident that they are the issue to your beautiful apartment complex.

Ive lived here since December and have very much enjoyed it. People are very friendly and the maintenance staff have been excellent at taking care of any items that need to be fixed.
