Shadyside Nail Salon is amazing. There’s a reason why Tracy has been in business in the same location for 14 years. There has been employees in and out but Tracy has always been there and is always making the customers happy. The atmosphere is like no other, sometimes she even asks clients if they would like to sip on something. Tracy is professional and is the whole nine yards; from hardworking to being a therapist to some. I would recommend this salon every day of the year.

Tracy is always so accommodating and does excellent work on all the designs I bring her. She never dissapoints and I recommend Shadyside Nail Salon to everyone I can.

My first time visiting Pittsburgh and this was the best nail salon I have been too so far. I highly recommend this place and I am definitely coming back here when I visit Pittsburgh again!!!!

By far the worst manicure. I just moved to Pittsburgh from Chicago and was on a hunt to find a new nail salon. I went in for a no chip manicure on Saturday and when I say worst manicure, I mean, it lasted 4 days!!! The paint job was horrendous. The clear polish curated on my cuticles and skin causing the polish to lift and start chipping. They don’t use a nail dehydrator and you can tell the nail bed had too much oil because when the polish was curating it would separate. The polish literally peeled right off after 4 days. Do not recommend. If I can give it 0 stars, I would.

I had a long and varied week at work and made a last minute decision to get my nails done. I walked in without an appointment and the owner, Tracy, and her son were able to accommodate me and my roommate with a minimal wait and no outward annoyance at our no appointment walk in. Im so grateful to this business for helping me treat myself and being so kind about it. I will most definitely return (next time with an appointment) and recommend this place for anyone looking for a quality manicure/pedicure. Thank you!

Best nail salon I have ever been to! I got my nails done by Son twice (acrylics with gel) and she was phenomenal! Not only did she do a great job, she was also so entertaining. 10/10 recommend shadyside nails, worth every penny!!

Worst nail salon I have ever been too. The nails looked great the day that I got them done. After a week of getting an acrylic set, they were chipping and just completely came off as if they were press ons. I called to ask if they could refill them or at least do something about it lol. The lady hung up saying nothing to me and I just accepted the fact that I threw away 50 dollars. Never going there again.

It was very clean and beautiful inside.I felt very comfortable. The owner Tracy was very sweet. It was the first time getting a mannie, peddie and it felt amazing. I will definitely be going back!!! 😁

I went here for my birthday to get a pedicure. The building was incredibly clean, and they took lots of steps to make sure everyone was safe during covid. Both staff there today (Tracy and Sofia) were very friendly and professional. They kept great conversion, and overall I had a great time. They obviously also did a great job with the pedicure. My feet feel better than ever and the massage chairs made my whole body relax. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Staff were friendly, but quality of work wasn’t well. Nails were made too thick, not even, dried with hair particles in them. Cuticles were not removed/cleared up. Will probably need to go to another salon to have them fixed once grown out. Overall let down and disappointed for the price paid.

My cuticles weren’t cut down and I have hang nails. The gel polish was the worst job I’d have ever had done. It was a black polish which made the errors, bubbles, uneven lines, polish on the skin, missed spots on the nails even more noticeable. I’m now going to have to spend money to have it removed and start over. The polish was of poor quality that it has already lifted and is starting to peel. I have top coat cured under my nails. My nails were done earlier today. I am extremely dissatisfied with the poor service I just received here. What a waste of time and money.

I made an appointment with Shadyside nail salon after reading all of the wonderful reviews. I got a full set for my wedding this weekend and I absolutely love them! I was greeted when I arrived and received service promptly . She did an amazing job and I most definitely will be returning!! Thanks again!

Wonderful experience getting a gel manicure and pedicure here. I am going to school and work full time and a little pampering was highly needed. I got neutral colors on my toes and fingers and the color was like lovely. Fast service and everyone was super friendly. Tracy and her staff are dedicated to making a good experience with each customer. Very happy to have made a last minute decision to come and will be a regular customer!

I had my nails down about 3 weeks ago had my nails done at this place and they were horrible it made my hands look thick. The polish was uneven and acrylic was not thinned out so went to another salon. The nail tech basically took the old stuff off and replaced all of my nails place used regular polish and put a gel coating over. Hmm very interesting I will go my new tech for now. Sorry Shadyside

I live out of state and was apprehensive about trying a new nail salon. Tracy took great care of me and my ingrown toe nail! She is very professional and great at her job. So glad I went. The nail salon has put in place COVID safety measure that made me feel safe.

I have gone to Shadyside Nail for years and find the service exceptional. Tracy goes out of her way to welcome you back each and every visit plus manages your expectations like no other salon in the area. I highly recommend Shadyside Nail but please call ahead to make an appointment especially during these covid times.

My friend and I had to wait a little while before getting seen but the staff was super friendly and very accommodating the entire time. They were amazing! I had not had my nails done in years but my birthday is coming so I wanted to get a full gel set and it was so hard deciding where to go here in Pittsburgh. I just so happen to find them last minute on google and I took a shot and it was such a nice experience. My nail tech was amazing and did a great job.(Heidi) I brought my 4 year old daughter with me and she got a manicure which was also very nice! Miss tracy was amazing with her. I will definitely be coming again. The prices are great too!❤

A new job in Shadyside brought me looking for a new salon. My hours tend to be 10-6, so I was drawn to this salon for their hours which are later than those salons around. I was not disappointed to find that these hours are indicative of the attention to customer service at this salon. Ive been back several times and look forward to continuing. When I get the owner (Tracy) on the phone, she is always so accommodating to when I can come in. Shes a true depiction of women-owned businesses in the city. She goes out of her way to keep up with trends and know the customers by their name. Ive gotten manicures by Heidi (who is extremely precise), Son (who does beautiful color combinations and clearly has great technique), and Sophia (who is so vibrantly personable and pays extra attention to my cuticles which are historically bad). I always leave feeling pampered and my manicures last for weeks (I typically get the Dip treatment). I enjoy feeling cared for and all of the laughter and sense of community in this establishment. Their prices and hours drew me in, but now Im hooked.

I seen Shadyside Nail Salon while riding on Centre ave in shady side. I decided to just walk-in and the nail techs were so nice and welcoming! It wasn’t long before I was seen. Very disappointed in the quality of my manicure. The first time I went there was so much attention to detail but the second time I can back I felt like I was rushed out. My nails were not shaped, my cuticles and hang nails were not removed and I left with polish all over my skin. Some portions of my nails were not even painted. Will not be coming back.

Tracy and Son are wonderful. Four of us (two adults and two teens) walked in for pedicures and were welcomed immediately. These ladies were very social and fun, and they had us all laughing. I was very pleased by the reasonable prices, cleanliness, professionalism, and overall atmosphere. We will definitely return.

I look fabulous, and had a great time doing it. They also have an air filtering system with a vent in each corner so theres no bleach or chemical smell at all. Two thumbs up 👍👍

Son was wonderful and Tracy, Shari and Heidi all were so nice. Clean shop. Went Saturday am when they opened and they were ready. Had a pedicure and dipping powder to my findernails. My nails look like they are covered with glass. This was an awesome place to treat myself for my birthday.

Dont let the location fool you. This place is better than the expensive shadyside salons. They actually take their time here. I get bad ingrowns (sorry not sorry) and despite being away for a year, the owner remembered me as soon as I walked in. I also watched her greet every customer by first name. Very personable. Highly recommend.

I have been going here for 8 years. Tracy & Son are the best. Very classy, friendly and professional. Always wiling to make time. Reasonably priced. I go every two weeks for my Mani, Pedi and Eyebrows. My mother and my daughter also go. We love it here.

The owner seemed very nice and outgoing but the guy that works there was very rough and caused me a lot of pain trying to get my acrylics off. He even made my finger bleed and didnt even acknowledge it. When I didnt tip him because of this he grabbed my receipt and walked away without saying a word. Extremely rude.

This is my go to spot for my mani/pedi and enjoyable me time. I am always well received there and treated quite nicely on every visit.

Ive been to a lot of nail shops and Ive left a lot of nail shops. This is one of my favorite shops because the owner and staff are so friendly. Actual Conversation flows between customers and staff, not that awkward small talk that usually happens until it is cut off when people break into their own language. Also the prices are great.

Tracey was a very nice woman. Even after an irate customer scared off the woman who was before me, I was just happy I would be next lol. She taught me about my nails being dry and why. She told me to take the acrylic off! Most nail techs wouldnt suggest you take off the artificial nails and go natural. Im going to make this shop my new nail home!!😊

I had a 1030 appointment for a mani/pedi Saturday morning. I was running a little late, and called to let them know; they said to still come in. I got there close to 15 minutes late, which isn’t good, I admit. One of the employees started filing my fingernails, stopped to read a text, then asked me to get up and go over where I could “soak my feet.” Another customer came in, she immediately started working on her, and I soaked my feet for over an hour and 15 minutes. At which point I left. I know it’s not good to be late, but there’s no way any business should let the customer wait for an hour and 15 minutes. They could have told me not to come in; they could have warned me about the wait after awhile.

I got my nails done here a week ago, and I was very displeased with the manicure. I got a full gel manicure, which was about $40. Here I am a week later, and over half of the nails are chipped. I have gotten gel manicures other places that have lasted over a month. For the price, it should last. The manicure itself was a French manicure, and to be honest, I could have done a better job myself. The tips were very crooked and the nail shape was very uneven across the nails. Some were square (as I asked for) and some were round. I will DEFINITELY not return.

Ive been going here for about a year now and Julissa always does a great job on my nails. She takes her time and is great helping me find colors that compliment my skin tone.

I went yesterday to get a gel French manicure and regular French pedicure!! I am a native New Yorker!! I get my nails done in Manhattan! I asked them for the color sugar daddy or mademoiselle!! Well the workers there laughed and looked at my son and said be careful she looking for a sugar daddy!! They assumed he was my boyfriend!! I complained about my french pedicure the white was not even and they use cheap top coat which caused bubbles. They seemed annoyed and talked about us in there language ! I understand your language vietnamese!! So than I thought dont get the gel manicure Horrible service and horrible nail job!Thsnk God I listened to myself!! I have to go get my nails redone for my sons wedding. My daughter in law and bridal party had a appointment at this horrible place for Friday . We cancelled and moved it to somewhere else!! In 30 years of getting my nails done professionally I was horrified and embarrassed .. I did not let my fury be known because if the New Yorker came out it would of been too much!! i Im trying to enjoy my sons wedding week. Btw Again they assumed my son was my boyfriend!! Disgusting customer service! This New Yorker will never get ly nails done here again!! I want to post pictures to show the horrible job!! The French manicure looks so uneven and disgusting

I was surprised this place had such a low rating. Everyone there always does an excellent job and theyre genuinely very nice and friendly.

Its been a while since this place got a review. I just recently left a review on Yelp about this place. Now, I am only being harsh because I have been to places that charge the same price for eyebrows but do an amazing job. I am not a big makeup person, so i count on my eyebrows to be perfect to fame my face. I had been to this place before and the job that was done wasnt great. I thought, this time, maybe they have improved, it has been three years since I have been in there. Lesson learned, once bad...always bad. I showed the owner a picture and even told her how i like my eyebrows and I ended up with $10 eyebrows that look like $2 eyebrows. As in the price it would have cost me to buy a tweezer and do it myself. If you are really serious about your eyebrows and like to get value for your money, skip this place. If you dont care, by all means. I on the other hand will allow my eyebrows to grow and just get them done when I go to MD next week. As for nails, I would never get them done here. If they cant do something as simple as eyebrows then, they definitely wont do a good job on nails.

I came in at 6 and was the last to leave. They didnt rusha and did such a wonderful job. I left there with my feet looking picture perfect and Ill NEVER go anywhere else. It was very clean nice ambiance and the two ladies were so.kind even though I hadnt had a pedi in 3 months...they werent judgemental and told me to come back so she could train my toes. Which I hadnt heard in years..so I knew Id found my permanent pedi place. Thx ladies! Ill be.in tomorrow!

My acrylic nails are already cracking and falling off and its been less than 2 weeks since I got them done. The nail tech cut me twice and did not address it either time. Steer clear of this place

Terrible terrible terrible nice people but did a horrible job on my nails. Had my nails on 1 week and all 5 nails poped off each finger .....

I had gotten a fill from here and never again believe me. My nails started falling off 3 days later, she barely reshaped them back to the coffin shape, they were in even and you could see the unevenness and bumps through the nail polish because she threw on the acrylic powder any type of way. Im highly disappointed.

The owner is the only one who knows how to do nails. The rest of the staff sucks. I had to go back 3 times to get my nails fixed and they still were horrible. Had to end up getting them removed and redone, 75 dollars down the drain because of shady work. I will never go there again.
