Michelle did a great job on my nails! She worked with me to find a design that I liked and was very professional, personable, and punctual. Both times Ive been to Manikure have been outstanding - the price tag is a little high, but its really worth it compared to the other nail salons in the area.

Allison is wonderful! Shes such a kind and outgoing human, and was open to my idea of the terrazzo nail design even though I didnt specifically have nail art booked (I just took whatever appt was available when I was contacted from the waitlist), and she executed it so well!

My first time at manikure was an amazing experience! Inside is clean and so cute, everyone was super friendly— it was like hanging out with friends. Good vibes and a GREAT gel manicure from Angela. She made sure each nail was perfect. I’ll be back soon!

I love this place. It has a nice decor and layout. The staff was friendly and helpful. And the big bonus no chemical smell! The only drawback: its on the second floor up 21 stairs (I counted)!

The salon atmosphere is the best - I always feel like Im hanging with my girlfriends when Im in. Angela does an amazing job every time...even when you just hand her a photo (not of nails) for inspiration. I feel super safe that covid precautions are being followed.

The nail tech Steph not only has a very thorough, excellent application but is also very educated on her craft and on the newest trends/ products coming out. She also puts the client first and does whatever is best for their nails. I love the style and brand of the shop. The only reason I scored a 9 instead of 10 is because some of the products I love to use will slowly be faded out to a more basic version and I dont want the shop to loose the variety and options it allows the employees and clients to have. Also Im eager to see the shop expanding into more realms of the beauty world like waxing and brows. I think the more variety, the better the outcome AND the happier the clients too :)

Shannon in particular is amazing. She is quick & efficient. She knows what shes doing & she is not sloppy with her designs, as you’ll find frequently. In fact, she is very particular & meticulous with her designs & art that she puts on her clients nails which is really amazing. You can walk away knowing your money is very well-spent with her.

Kate took a random idea - maybe sunset nails? - and brought it to BEAUTIFUL fruition. Im always so happy when I spend time at Manikure, and I always leave with fabulous nails.

Aubrey was great! Very detail oriented and friendly. Got some pop art-y lemon nails and they look so cute!

I booked a gel manicure with minimal nail art with Sam C. She did exactly what I wanted and looks even better than I imagined. She’s thorough and so easy to talk to. Manikure is very clean and I didn’t feel uncomfortable at any point. It was a great experience all around.

Absolutely love my nails! My artist was so helpful when selecting what I wanted, and so talented and attentive to detail with her execution. Shannon is so sweet and personable - I recommend her 110%! Every time I look at my nails it brightens my day. Based on my experience, I will definitely be booking again and many times after that.Salon is in a great location, and the rest of the staff is professional and welcoming. 100/10!

Kaylene did a full set of hard gels with nail art for my wedding. The design was gorgeous, and my nails didnt lift at all for the month that I had them on!! (Im a hairstylist and my hands are in water all day, so thats impressive.) The prices may look high, but you truly get what you pay for when you see Kaylene!

With very vague instructions about what colors I like/dont like, and a desire for nail art, she put together the fabulously gorgeous manicure below. Kaylene was amazing as always. She took my ideas for nail art and seamlessly made them a reality. The manicure she gave me made me feel like myself again for the first time since March. Michelle gave me a pedicure, and it was probably the best pedicure Ive ever gotten. Her attention to detail went above and beyond!

I like to say thank you to the 2 ladies that helped the Canadian truck driver make a right turn from Bulter St. on to 35th St. I had a delivery at Allegheny Plywood. If you didnt move your car I would of been stuck in the turn or would of hit your car or someone elses car and I didnt want to do that. Even thou I was never in your salon, I still give your employees 5 stars rating. Again thank you for all your help.

I love Manikure! I made an appointment after the salon I’d been going to for years had to close after one of the employees testing positive for Covid. The girls at Manikure were so welcoming, but I still thought it was just going to be a one time appointment until my regular salon opened back up. Here we are almost 6 months later & I’ve never looked back. Kate is absolutely amazing & all the girls are so sweet (& professional)! Most importantly, the salon is extremely clean!!!

Great overall experience - all staff was professional, facility and all stations were clean, clearly following and enforcing cdc guidelines during this time. Zoe was an absolute delight and helped give me the best experience while sitting in her chair.

Maniküre has many COVID-19 policies in place which is extremely comforting to an immunocompromised individual like myself. I saw Michelle for a full hard gel set over natural length with simple nail art. Michelle was friendly, detail oriented and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Excited to come back!

Amazing staff and great services

Ive been a long time customer/fan of Kate and now that she has her own shop she has really taken everything to the next level! Everyone here is so incredibly talented, you cant go wrong. Last time in the shop I got to witness Kate teaching and helping the newer chicks and its clear that her professionalism, talent, and positive attitude is radiating into everyone working at the shop. The salon is beautiful (the palm leaf wallpaper will make you feel its Florida even on the dreary Pittsburgh days) and super clean. Everyone is professional and so nice. My nails are ALWAYS on point with whatever crazy nail art I request. Spectacular all around!

I have been going to Manikure for just about a year, and I absolutely love everyone there (especially Lee❤️) everybody is so sweet helpful and fun, always amazing work, I trust them for nails, skincare and waxing. I can go in knowing exactly what I want and Lee will go above and beyond or have no clue at all and I’m still obsessed with it. The one time I had to switch and Shannon is absolutely the cutest! I’m very hard on my nails and they stay perfect. I’m in the beauty industry and can tell a great salon + customer service when I see it.The salon is always clean and everyone is extremely professional. I have been coming to Maniküre for about 6 months now, and it has been an amazing experience every time. Victoria is so creative, and even when I’m drawing a blank on what I want to do, she always brings something fresh, artistic, and beautiful from her extraordinary imagination. I always leave excited to show off my fresh mani. Ashley also does amazing work with lashes. I got a lift and tint recently, and the outcome was amazing. I can’t recommend these ladies enough.

The salon is very cute and they have a lot of different options! It is a bit pricier than other salons but sometimes that is worth it. I would recommend making an appointment though - walk-ins are rarely able to get in.

I absolutely love coming to Manikure. I pretty much have had my nails done by everyone who works there and have never been disappointed. Everyone is so friendly and talks to you during your appointment so the time passes by fast. I love that I can come in without an idea and the girls are able to use their creativity to create amazing nail art. I always get so many compliments on my nails!I also have had my lashes and eyebrows done by Ashley and the service never disappoints. I love the ease of booking online and the booking system saves your information which makes checkout a breeze. If you are looking for a nail place in the Pittsburgh area, I would strongly recommend it here! :)

I love Manikure! Every time I go I have an amazing experience whether it’s for plain nails or intricate art. Victoria, Lee and Paidge are the best and I’m even comfortable going to the artists in training. The location is perfect and it’s a one of a kind experience. I’m even sending my mom for some pampering after her foot surgery to feel special. Can’t wait for my next service!

Ive been getting my nails done by the owner, Kate, for about 7 months. She runs on time and is really efficient. Her new location is really cool, its on the second floor so you go up just one flight of stairs to get there. Awesome aesthetic, good menu of services, good hours. Kate gives a magical pedi but her finger nail art is on point and probably what shes known best for. Shes got a long term client here!

I heard about Manikure from a few friends of mine who recommended I go after my usual salon closed. I got my lashes done by Ashley and Victoria did my nails... both turned out amazing! Not only did they do a great job, theyre also super friendly and professional.

Kate is the best in the game! Ive been getting my nails done by her for awhile now and she never disappoints. I get an acrylic fill about every 4-5 weeks. My nails never chip, break or fall off. I get endless compliments and she is a joy to talk to. Her new place is adorable and relaxing. Highly recommend trying out Manikure if you havent yet!!

I cheated on Manikure because I was in a time crunch to get my nails fixed for a special event. Never again!! Katie got my nails fixed up and looking gorgeous again. They are well priced and super helpful. The space is so beautiful and relaxing, I cannot wait to book more than just nail services and to have a little bridal party there to champer and pamper.

Paige did an incredible job with my nail art! I couldnt be happier and she is so sweet to work with! Im definitely going to go back to her.

I LOVED my first experience at Manikure! Im not only obsessed with the aesthetics of the salon look, but my nails look amazing! Its truly an enjoyable experience.

My first few visits were nice. However, my last visit was terrible. The girl blond short hair inked care not to know her name that gave me a manicure was so rude and disrespectful. I would never treat anyone this way. When I called to inform them besides my nails were all crooked and all different shapes. The girl answering the phone said she is going through a hard time. Well we all have hard times. When I went to get them fixed the girl that was so rude to me didn’t even look at me never apologized no one ever did. I would never ever go back there again. Why would the owner have someone work there that is unstable with so many issues. So sad. Management is so desperate to hire someone like this. Good luck with your shop. You won’t be there long.

I have had nothing but great experiences with the team at Manikure - their space is fun and inviting, the staff is professional and friendly, and all of the services that Ive received (lash lifts, manicures and a pedicure) have been fantastic. Ive never had gel manicures last as long as theirs! After years of searching, Ive definitely found my go-to spot.

I came down with an awful upper respiratory infection in the span of 8 hours. I felt so sick and I didn’t want to get anyone sick, so I had to cancel my appointment that I had been looking forward to all week. Because it was less than 24 hours in advance, they refused to waive the cancellation fee. While I definitely understand cancellation policies, I had thought they would atleast make an exception in the case of illness (plus I would be there if I could, their manicures are amazing and one of the best I’ve had!)I asked if they would make an exception, and she responded “I’m not able to, it’s the computer.” I really don’t understand how a company can’t override the computer to make an exception for a customer. Not to mention It’s honestly a shame that this happened because I loved the manicure I got from there and the girl who did my manicure was so great, but I’ll no longer go to them as I don’t support companies that don’t work with their clients. While the manicures are great, the customer service could definitely be improved.

The price advertised online is not even comparable to what you actually pay. I paid $60 for a gel manicure and I don’t even like the nail art (it looks like a Pinterest fail). I got a design on 4 nails that isn’t even intricate. I’m in complete sticker shock. I should have said something right then and there but was too intimidated because the owner did my nails. It was my first time at the salon and it will also be my last. I tried to call to discuss and no answer. I’m bummed because this place has so many good reviews. :(

If you complain, you get banned...I’ve been going to Maniküre since it opened, and was initially quite impressed. Beautiful salon, the work they did was great and they were for the most part on time. I didn’t mind paying the high prices.Over the past few months my polygel nails - began to lift, chip and all together completely come off. I would call and request a fix, which they accommodated. However, after several corrections, it was suggested that I try a different type of manicure - GelX. I’d do anything to keep my manicure in good condition, so I decided to give it a try. It took over 2hrs to do my nails and $82 later. I went home and within 4hrs, one of them began to lift so I called and asked to have it replaced. But, instead of accommodating as any good business should, I was told that my business was no longer welcome at their salon and I wasn’t welcome to get my nails done there anymore. REALLY? Never in my professional or personal life have I ever been treated like this. I moved here from a city of 8.5 million people and behavior like this is unheard of...KATE - as a business owner have a backbone and call your customers yourself when you want to turn away business, and don’t have your receptionist do it. Pathetic. You made me feel guilty and embarrassed because I had an issue and wasn’t satisfied with my nails coming off, and no one deserves to feel that way, especially a loyal paying customer. You should be ashamed of yourself and your business.I will not apologize for my nail lifting, nor be made to feel repeatedly bad & guilty that it’s my fault my nails lift due to the mediocre and rushed work of your staff, it’s laughable and disgraceful, especially for the prices that you charge.I feel discriminated against because the nails weren’t done properly and all I request was repair. STAND behind your product - plain & simple. Clearly you don’t.My advice to anyone looking to go to this salon - yes it’s cute, and they do cute designs, but customer service is a joke, who bans someone who has been a loyal customer for over a year because their nails break? This salon doesn’t care about their customers, you are a $ Dollar sign to them and that’s it. If they are asked to correct their work, they would rather turn you away, then acknowledge their error.I would NOT recommend Maniküre to anyone who has any common sense or class as they will be equally disappointed and let down at a continuous high price.

I’ve been coming to Manikure for gel manicures for the last ~6 months and always leave so happy with the service/finished product. It’s easy to see why their client base has grown so much and so quickly! A few weeks ago, I received a mani from one of the new level 1 techs they’ve hired to meet the client demand. She was so sweet and kind, but I left slightly unhappy with my mani. It was by no means bad (and was far better than most manicures I’ve gotten in Pittsburgh), but it wasn’t quite the quality I’ve grown used to receiving at Manikure. I reached out to Kate, the owner, to provide some feedback and she went above and beyond to make things right. I recently returned to get a vacation mani with the same level 1 tech and she absolutely nailed it (pun intended). It’s clear that Kate and the other senior techs are investing time into training their most recent hires, and are committed to providing their clients with the best service.TL;DR this place is great and you should get your nails done here

Being new to Pittsburgh I was looking for a good nail salon since I have a wedding coming up. I found this gem on Instagram, being drawn in by the fabulous posts with creative nail art. I came to find out it is right down the street from where I work!I was able to easily find availability and book with one of the nail technicians online. I booked a gel manicure with Paidge and she was nice and welcoming when I arrived! I had requested a similar style she had previously posted a picture of and was quick to get to work. She did a fantastic job of cleaning up my cuticles and had a fine attention to detail when completing the nail art. I absolutely loved the way they looked after -- super clean -- and they stayed that way for 2+ weeks! When I soaked the gel off at home I also felt like my nails were not as damaged as they had been previously having gel at other places.As a chronic nail biter Im typically one to just paint my nails myself at home without the risk of being disappointed by a manicure that just doesnt hold up or subpar nail art and only get them done out once or twice a year. Im happy to say Ill definitely be back for all of my gel and nail art needs -- all of the nail techs look amazing -- go check them out on Instagram for sure!!
