When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, I was concerned that the facility was in a trailer. It didnt give the impression of stability. That opinion did not change when I entered. It appeared to be old and well used. The GPS that I rented had maps that were out of date and gave me wrong turns on several occasions. The LCD screen was washed out by the sun so it was useless until it was out of the sun( which is rare in Phoenix). The car was delivered with no gas. A fact I couldnt know because I was told it was full and I had to return it full. Due to the sun angle I could not see the gas low fuel light until I was on the interstate under an overpass!

Ladies at Shea and Scottdale location truly care about costumers. Ive rented out few times from them and every time I felt important. Thank you Francisca and short blond hair lady.( Sorry i forgot your name)

Rude rude rude rude is all I can say. If you go get a truck or car or whatever you get look it over dont just let them look it over. They get upset if you take your time to look over what you rent. Dont be rude and let people look over damages the renter is liable for it. Give us time to make sure everything is good.

Excellent service! The woman at the front desk was super helpful with pickup and got me a brand new Honda Civic to rent. I travel for work frequently and this was my best rental experience. Much cheaper than the airport and more efficient than any enterprise.

We were supposed to get a car from Enterprise. We travel a lot and always use Enterprise because they are EVERYWHERE. Well, despite our Confirmation, Enterprise did NOT have any vehicles. None of them had any. We flew from MN to AZ and had places to be this afternoon. I called this Budget, the woman answered (without having to go through 3 minutes of menu options) and confirmed she could have a car for us in an hour.Showed up, got the car, and saved $82.00 versus the Enterprise rental. We will now be using Budget for our rental needs. The woman here was awesome, friendly and understanding. Great Customer Service.

Because the first rental I had, the check engine and change oil light kept coming on. I told them and he said we were fine to drive even though I expressed to him that I didnt feel comfortable driving it. I called on Thursday to get something else anything and he told me thst they were out of vehicles till Tuesday due to the Holiday. I was able to get another vehicle the next week.

This was by far the cheapest rental I have ever gotten. Although the over all cleanliness inside of the vehicle couldve been better, it was overall a really great experience. Our rental vehicle had badly damaged tires, the rear tires had no tread, one of which had a nail in it. The front tires were extremely worn on the inside due to the camber of the vehicle which hid the wear, the passenger side front tire had a 1x0.5 chunk missing out of it. Nobody with the company seemed to be willing to help us with the issue until I called the corporate customer care which the essential response to my issue was to fix it myself. I had to take time out of my vacation which had turned sour at that point to purchase new tires for the vehicle which I am struggling with the process of getting my refund as the company is not accepting my emails. I am utterly shocked the vehicle was even rented to us and deemed roadworthy. Were extremely fortunate we werent injured or killed and I am extremely unhappy with the lack of customer care or concern.

On a holiday, I got a day rental for super cheap. It was like 76.00 for a 24 hour rental. They were fast, close to home and very friendly. Pick up and drop off were really easy. I would rent again for sure for the price I paid

I reserved a compact car and was given a 9 passenger gas eating van.

We were supposed to get a cargo van while we end up with the six foot trailer even though it was the same price we didnt have a lot to transfer to California so the sad part is the gas is going to really kill us other than that were happy

Great service and car worked out well. Friendly and helpful. Car was clean and provided us an enjoyable time as we used it to travel to multiple national parks in the SW US. Also good to get rental off site from major airport to avoid high taxes. No long lines either.

I made a prepaid reservation over the phone and was told that I could rent the car at 20 years old as long as I had a credit card, we go to pick up the rental car and they say I have to be 21 to rent and drive it. So my boyfriend had to pay additional $78 for coverage and a $100 deposit. We talked to 4 different customer service people. One lady told me She wasnt going to do anything and to hang up and speak to a different agent. Another customer service guy told me he would refund the insurance amount when we drop it off. When we dropped it off the guy at the counter said there was no comment to get a refund so we had to pay the full amount. We called customer service again where a guy said that there was a offer of 50% off but not a full refund. I have never had worse customer service experience than i did here. We were going to rent a moving truck thats over $1000 but after this experience we would rather pay more somewhere else than to deal with this customer service again.

The budget rental in the airport basically robbed us and he made it right. We had reserved through Costco and the airport budget gave us a price almost triple the rate Costco had given us. David made it right and helped us find a good local place to eat and things to see. He definitely salvaged budget rentals reputation for my wife and I!

David at the Budget office on E Indian School Rd went above and beyond to make sure that we were happy with our rental - he was awesome! We had been traveling all day and were hangry and hot - but he made us laugh with his funny jokes. Most importantly, he helped us find a rental that was much better suited for our family’s needs. They upgraded us to a mission from test which was great until I got a flat in rush hour traffic coming out of The bay area, that was not much fun. Spent half of the next day getting an other car with a spare, first car the air didnt work, third car seemed like a down graded car.Although the big piece of metal which caused the flat was in no way the rental cars fault. Best rental car experience Ive ever had. I rented from here instead of at the Sky Harbor airport and received a way better rate. Taking a taxi to and from this location did offset some of the savings, but it was still worth it. I prepaid for my car, and it literally took the incredibly nice staff only 5 minutes at the office to the check the car out to me. The same was true when returning the car. I would definitely rent here again as opposed to the airport when rates are as high as they were.

Unfortunately there is no zero star box. Our rental (Indian School Road location in Phoenix, AZ) was due back at noon on Saturday, March 31. When we picked it up I asked the agent what to do if we could not get back until after they close at 4 pm. He said it would be fine, just drop the key in the drop box. He made no mention of additional charges even though we specifically asked about dropping it late. The rental agreement had the additional day charge on it so an extra day was expected, even though he did not explain it. I can find no mention of late charges. I dropped it off around 6 pm. We were charged two additional days plus a $40 late fee for about $102 extra; 45% more than our entire quote for a few hours longer. I did expect an additional day charge but two days plus a late fee is outrageous and clearly an effort to gouge us. I called customer service on April 13th when I saw the charge. They simply referred to the rental agreement with no effort to explain the fact that the on-site agent was specifically asked about a late drop-off. The phone agent was officious and far from helpful, making no effort to consider what actually happened. I doubt I will continue to use Budget unless this is resolved.

I like going to this Budget when I have to rent a car because they are so quick and courteous to me. No hassle renting and they keep a nice amount of cars on hand. The last vehicle I rented only had 13 miles on it. I felt so special.

The customer service is terrible. After speaking with the local rep I was told my rental would be extended at the same initial rate agreed upon. She never told me I needed to go and sign a new agreement so along with that came the late fees and an extension fee?? The keys were locked in the truck and they sent out a company which I paid in cash and now they charged me again on my credit card. I will dispute all charges made.Go with Enterprise. No surprises there when it comes to billing.Dont rent from this location.

We had the worst possible experience here! Caused by one of the employees..we picked up a car from here and started our road trip.. when we tried to start the car in Flagstaff it didn’t start. After we called the customer service they had to tow us as they couldn’t figure out what is wrong with the car. They gave us a new car at the flagstaff budget location but with all these delays we weren’t Able to return the car on time.. we were told here they cannot do anything and only the pickup location is able to extend the contract without extra charge. When we called the customer service we were told the same. When we got to the drop in location we were told the same again!So we called this location and we were told : No! We cannot do anything and u have to call customer service! So we called customer service and again we were told it should be the pick up location!!After calling them for the third time we were told same BS again!until the kind lady at drop in location talked to the manager at pick up location and as we were told for several times they could fix the situation easily but they just didn’t want to!

I needed a car for 2 weeks. I literally cut my cost in half by renting away from the Phoenix Airport. $360 as opposed to the airport price of $750. Car was immaculate, no problems, and staff was friendly and efficient. Will definitely rent from there in the future.

This is one great location. The personnel are most helpful and provide great service. I rented the car in under a minute and returned the car in 30 seconds. They are friendly and gave quick and correct information. I can’t imagine renting from any other location in PHX.

The 2019 For Fusion was having battery problems and very disappointed, very desrectful to charge to customer for a damage battery,warmed out for 22,000 miles vehicles,when I called my office rental to exchange my rental,they gave me a phone number to get help and now im screwd disputing a bill of 185 thru my credit card company and file a court paper to dont have legal issues in the future for having the money refunde to my credit card,they also dont armorall their car or review it them before renting it again and again

Decided to avoid the $100+ in taxes when renting through the airport so got a taxi to this place from the airport. Got a great car at a great rate with excellent service. No pushy up-sells on insurance or gas refills and we were in and out within minutes.

A spur of the moment rental to pick up furniture that was to be delivered. Plenty of equipment, one way from the North end to Sun Lakes. Staff was helpful, likable and professionally courteous.

The cars of their partner Avis are always new and clean. The staff are friendly and get you into your car without any hassles. If you abandoned credit cards, theyll (Avis) get you in a car for a small refundable deposit. I always rent from them in Phoenix.

This location is great because its close to the airport, and its cheaper then rentals at the airport. But they put that little notes in the car saying that they will charge you extra $250 cleaning fee if they find any hair, sand, grass or any other things that will require interior cleaning. Moreover I received the car that was already not clean enough (found some trash in drivers door, dusty panels, several spills). Car also had no floor mats. So, you can not just shake mats out before returning your car. So we had to have interior cleaning before returning the car. This is just ridiculous. We have used budget a lot in different states and locations, but that was the first time we saw things like that.

This location is really handy for local Phoenicians who dont want to rent a car with all the extra surcharges from the airport. You may not always get the car that you ordered, but the service is personal, relatively qiuck, and well worth the effort. Use the AARP code for great discounts, too, but dont forget to bring your card when you pick up the car!

Well I had to give theme a least one star to wright the review... They tell you what you want to hear and when you go to pick up the truck they say that you cant because you ID and debit card doesnt match the drivers id.. Im not driving it my husband was and they say that we cant rent it. What it matters is that you are getting your money I was paying for it, it wasnt for free.

We chose Budget originally bc it was the most affordable, the woman on the call told us all we need is a DL. Went down there and tried to pay with debit, didnt accept it, in order for it to be accepted, we needed good credit and a deposit...we left and went Enterprise, it was much easier.

Rented a large moving truck. We ended up getting stranded on the road in CA, with the engine shutting down while we were driving. This put us in a dangerous spot a couple times. After roadside service showed up he said the coolant and oil levels were low. The coolant level was just at the sensor which means it ran fine while mostly flat, but as soon as we had to go up steep hills the level would fall below the sensor and the engine would SHUT DOWN. This was not something that broke; this was a failure of basic maintenance that cost us time and money. Simply having a normal coolant and oil level allowed us to complete our trip without any further issues. Be warned - you might want have them check the fluid levels before you accept a truck for long distance moves.Budget was given the opportunity to refund our rental due to their negligence and they refused.

I never rent cars, but this experience was awesome and the price was excellent just like the service.
