There is no reason to put a hold on my card if Im using a credit card. I dont know why you dont take pre paid cards. The money is already there. The 2 ladies at the counter were kinda rude. And you should open earlier and close later for the convince of your customers.

One of the best experiences Ive ever had with a car rental. Everything was perfect. The car had to be an upgrade. We were expecting to get a Toyota Corolla but we got a great small Ford SUV. It was roomy and perfect for two people. The staff at 2640 E. Indian School are efficient and friendly, something lacking in so many establishments these days. Thank you Avis. Looking forward to using your services in July.

Customer service when checking my rental back in was Amazing! At the location 2640 east Indian school rd.

The minivan we rented was filthy on the inside, bald tires on the front and had a HEAVY smoke smell inside. The company did very little to help us find another vehicle for the rental and we ended up cleaning and paying for a detail on the rental van with our own money. Ridiculous.

Pickup and return were very easy. My car was clean and in great shape. The staff at this location are very pleasant and efficient.

The level of dishonesty from the Indian School location, we will see what you do about my survey.Car was delivered on a Monday and dropped like I have done dozens of times. Waved at the car detail employee and had a lyft waiting for a ride to my flight. According to the worthless gal when they finally answered the phone was my car was check in 2 days later?? So you can charge the card just cant help with a credit, so you really dont walk your lot with keys in the car for 2 days, a very small lot might I add.The level of laziness and dishonesty during Covid is enough already. They should be ashamed of their entire horrible process, zero attempt to help so now several hours on phones and a charge back with the card company. Cheats, could have been easily resolved.I am adding to the ongoing level of dishonesty now 6-25-2021 I have an email June 8, 2021 apologizing for the errors made by Avis and the Indian School Road location, easily could have been fixed day one if the branch location was not so dishonest. They promised to refund my $256.93 and that has still not happened. I was refunded $17.00 that was put back on my card and now the email chain is being ignored and they use your credit card like it is their personal toy. Liars and cheats, I will stay on this now wasting about 8 hours in total phone calls and emails. A simple fix if people were not so lazy letting computers do their work instead of getting off their lazy rear ends and doing their jobs.I am adding the ongoing dishonesty now 6-30-2021 I have been told for the 3rd time I will be refunded what started out as $256, now down to $239, regardless it is still not done. It is the most incompetent situation I have ever encountered in my life. If the computer does not figure it out the human is too dumb on their owe? A company this large and this dishonest that could have solved this in 5 minutes if they did their job. Please stay away from these guys, absolute cheats and liars

Good service agent, nice car, And reasonable rates

Friendly, fast and on top of it all.Keep in mind. I called the office. I got a reservation for 4.4 miles away from the airport in PHX and saved $100. I am not sure why the airport fees are so excessive. But I HAD TO HAVE A CAR and could not argue rates. My Flight was $150 and the total of the car was $250. BUT.... at least it wasnt $350 like it could have been. This was seriously a very expensive trip. But the Avis employees truly tried to help me in every way possible.

I reserved a cargo van three weeks before I needed it and they called me 20 minutes before my pickup time to tell me that there was absolutely no cargo vans available. They couldve at least given me more heads up instead of driving 20 miles!

It was not a good experience at all. After taking an Uber to this location to pick up a car which I had already paid for online, I walked out of there with no vehicle. Had to take an Uber nack home. After contacting customer service, I was informed I would receive a full refund in 3 - 5 business days.

Pickup was super easy in a convenient location. The car was great, good mileage, clean and in very good condition. Drop off was just as easy and quick. The staff here were very nice and helpful.

The price was affordable and the guys in the office were really great! (I wish I could remember their names). They were being nice and gave us a brand new car but the new car fumes bothered me so I asked if they would give us an older car. They were very nice, friendly and accommodating and even understood why it bothered me. I really appreciated their willingness to help.

No cars available at the airport. Avis found a car available at an off airport location which was good. The problem was our flight was delayed by 2 hours due to mechanical problems. I called Avis to make sure our reservation would still be held - the Avis agent said yes, no problem. When we arrived at the off airport location we were first told that we were 2 hours late. I told them I called but it seems that the agent I spoke to did not communicate our situation to the rental location. (When I called the location number the call was transferred to the Avis 800 number and we did not speak to the location where we were to rent the car). There was one car available which we were able to secure. If we were 5 min. later, that car would have been gone.Our trip to Phoenix that day was to attend a memorial service for a deceased friend. Our experience with both the airline and Avis did not help to improve an already sad situation.

I booked a one way trip with AVIS. At the pickup location staff was unfriendly. The car I was given smelled of smoke, had no USB charging port, and the cigarette lighter port did not work with phone charger adapters either (not that I was provided with one, just happened to have it). The volume knob on the radio did not even work. Absolutely worst car ever rented. I drove to Los Angeles CA and the dropoff location DID NOT EXIST. It had been shut down for months. When calling AVIS they asked me to drive nearly 20 miles to drop off at the airport which was unreasonable. No other locations nearby in downtown LA offered after hours dropoff - very inconvenient. I had to keep the car overnight, pay for parking, and drop it off the next day. Will never use AVIS or other AVIS brands again. Worst experience ever. Not allowed to give zero stars per Google but otherwise I would.

Cheater thieves We rented a car on a rainy night got home the next day after the rain saw the broken windshield got charge weekly for a rental fee then we return the vehicle got charged for the whole month thats like a $1,500 bill after weve been paying it weekly and then I just got a letter in the mail saying that yeah were responsible for their broken windshield and we called them as soon as we notice like 20 hours after renting the car poor company and service 0 of 10 Crooks

I had reservations for a toyota, and was given a Kia Forte, with no explanation as to why. When I said I had reservations for a Toyota, I was told well both cars do the same thing. The Kia smelled of strong cigarette smoke also. I do not smoke, and have athsma. I went ahead and accepted the rental, only because I needed a car, but will not use this location again.

When I picked up my car from Phoenix Airport rented with Carla App, I had to drop-off to this location and it was urgent. When I called, agents were really patient and assisted me quickly. I knew that one way fee was going to be charged but the agents were really professional and they mentioned what should I do and what I can expect. Thank you for the assistance and for the great service guys!

I was privileged to work with an exceptional customer service representative at the time of my vehicle pick-up. i wish I could remember her name. she was professional, thorough, and polite all wrapped up into one. after driving the car for 2 weeks (no problems at all) i made a last minute change, for my convenience, to drop the car back to an airport location. my phone call was answered quickly and i was informed correctly that there would be a minimal $25 fee. This amount was well worth it for me . upon return the representatives there were polite, efficient and helpful. I am definitely sticking with Avis for all my future car rental needs, as service was excellent and pricing competitive . Thank you. BTW - The woman checked me in deserves a raise and accolades for her friendly demeanor and superior service. The place was packed when i arrived and she was organized, undaunted, and a real pro making sure she acknowledged everyone while her triage to into account everyones most pressing needs. A huge mahalo to her!

We were waiting at the airport different rental agency for about an hr. The line was still too big. So we booked here, uber-ed In and Out all about 20 mins. Great staff. Easy rental and no long lines

Just beware if they didnt tell you that you need to have a return flight ticket or a credit card to be renting a vehicle from these car rentals companies. It because people steal cars and can close debit account quickly once used. But far most ask what is needed to rent a car before you get here. The company never told of these conditions.

The staff was rude and not very kind. I was treated like I was an inconvenience. I would want my friends and family to feel the way that I felt.

Rented a car through Avis a couple weeks ago, and upon arriving at home, I realized I left my new Bluetooth ear buds in the car. I was really bummed because they were $150! With a couple days I received a call from one of the workers at this Scottsdale location saying that he found them, and tracked down my info from past renters. He then shipped then to me on his own time. Unbelievable customer service! Jersey Dave - I owe you a cold one!

My wife and I rented a Volkswagen Jetta for two weeks beginning February 21, 2019. Not only was the price of the rental very fair and the car in excellent shape, but the work of the staff was exceptional. They were friendly and helpful, and most importantly they were very prompt and efficient. We were so pleased with how little time we actually spent in the rental car office.

Ive rented from this agency several times over the years and will always choose them when in Phoenix. They offer superior service and go out of their way to assist with everything. They found me a car at the last moment and offered a better vehicle for the price as well. The staff is wonderful! There is no reason to go to another agency when in Phoenix or Scottsdale.

Didnt want to start are visit to Phoenix going through the airport shuttle and dragging our bags through the process. So decided to take a cab to this location and drop car at airport when done. It was easy and the staff is friendly and doesnt push hard to sell you insurance or upgrades and dont get snarky when you dont. The car was clean inside and out and was the size we ordered. So the process was easyand quick. Also saved more by using this lot than the cab cost to get there. I would recommend it.

If youre looking for the cheapest Avis Car Rental option in The Phoenix Metro this is the place. My vehicle was fairly clean and ran like a dream. The staff is very enthusiastic and will have you on the road within minutes of arriving!

Always a positive attitude. Good rates and clean cars. Wished they had a little higher than basic one but all in all, will always rent from this location. Also am able to drop off during closed hours which is a huge plus for me.

Tried to rent a car for an employee. Was told, by Joanna, over my employees phone, that since the credit card was in my name and not the employees, I would have to be present. I asked, How can I rent a car for an employee if Im out of state? and was rudely told, I guess you dont rent a car, then. I asked my employee to leave and that I would handle the situation, cancelled my reservation and called Avis directly. Joanna answered the phone and I asked to speak to a manager. She asked my name, in which I gave, in turn she put me on a brief hold. She came back and asked what the issue was pertaining to and I asked if her manager was available or not. Joanna then hung up on me. I called again, and was transferred to the automated reservation line. Had my husband call, and he was promptly transferred to the manager, Teresa. The situation was explained to her and she calmly and professionally explained how to set up a corporate account. We then addressed the issue with Joannas rudeness and was told that the reason I was hung up on was because I swore at her, which I did not. In conclusion, Joanna is not only rude, but also a liar. I have called Tulsa to file a complaint will be setting up a corporate account with another rental service.

I did the one way car rental from Phoenix to Seattle... drove up the Pacific Coast Highway and had a great time ... even better because my car rental for two weeks and 2200 miles was only $168.00 .. I will help Avis relocate their cars ANYWHERE... a fun way to see the country.. staff was pleasant and helpful!

We were told that we could rent a car with a debit card, as long as we could give a two hundred dollar deposit. Well after spending about two hours getting the run around. We had to get a hard credit check, and then told that we do not qualify for a car rental !!! You have to have a 650, or better credit score.

Price wise, good service, no pressure, and good understanding or our needs

Weve rented several cars from this Avis location. Each time has been very pleasant. The lady that helped us is very nice and helped us choose the right car by walking with us in the lot. We will be back.

I have rented from this location on numerous occasions. It may not look like much from the outside (or the inside for that matter) but the two women who staff the office at the facility are always helpful, friendly and accommodating. It is worth the taxi ride from the airport to this office as opposed to renting from the airport facility.

Incredible customer service! At the end of January I travelled to Phoenix and picked up a rental car at this location. I fell in the connecting airport, cut and broke my nose and was taken to the local hospital. We missed ur flight and had to rebook for later in the day. When I called to tell the rep wed be taking a later flight, she informed me that by the time we landed and taxied over the location would be closed. Since this was a 2-month rental, rebooking to pick up at the airport would have cost an extra $1,000. The rep, Dana, understanding that I was injured and needed to get to Tucson that night, volunteered to stay (unpaid) until we arrived. She even gave me her cell number in case we ran into problems. She was absolutely wonderful when we arrived, making sure I was comfortable while my husband got our car. Dana was our angel that day. This is what makes Avis a great company.

Off airport rentals are always cheaper than on airport. These guys are great to work with, pick up and return was a breeze. Uber from PHX pick up the car and driving all within 25 minutes of calling uber, saved hundreds! They are friendly and efficient, very easy to work with over the phone and in person.

Lie & MisleadI physically came into this location before my reservation date to ensure everything was ok. I get there to pick up my rental and everything changes, PLEASE GO TO ANOTHER LOCATION!!! To conduct your business dont waste your time!

Walked up to the counter just to be told I was on a DNR list when I made the reservation know where in there did it say that Ive never returned a car damage or misused always the same location to be told that when I walk up to the counter on the hours before I leave for my trip I will never rent there again

The car rental process at this location was quick and easy and I saved a small fortune over picking up at SkyHarbor. The same car at the airport was $600, the cost at this location was $200. I paid $25 each way for a cab ride and saved $350!!!!

Always used budget/avis ava was always taken care of. But twice the over charged me and the in the second and last time wouldnt refund over charge even though I was given bad information. Rent from enterprise. Wont give you the run around if theres a mistake. Ill NEVER rent from here again.

Great Staff, open to our request for changes on vehicle offered, in the end we chose the KIA SUV. Again all at location were exceptional offering wonderful service. Saved over 80.00 in taxes by collecting off airport our rental. Simple Uber to location from Sky Harbor was under $ 15.00. Worth the UBER to save $ 65.00 in taxes and still permitted to return to Sky Harbor PHX without a OW rental charge.

They didnt tell me there was a drop box for keys on Sunday. They charged me two extra days when I handed keys on Monday. Girl at desk was dismissive.
