I’ve been here several times and it’s always fine. It’s fine.But today I had an appointment at 2:30. They sat me at the pedicure station with my feet in the water, then left me there for 30 minutes? The salon was mostly empty. No one checked on me, thanked me for my patience. Weird glances from the technicians occasionally, which made me feel uncomfort.By the time I started putting my shoes on to leave, the technicians rushed over to say they could do my manicure now.The fact that I had an appointment, spent 30 minutes in the salon, and wasn’t seen is just ridiculous.

Nails peeled and one nail came off in LESS then 24 hours. And i paid $95.00 with a tip.

My husband got me a gift card so I decided to give them a try. I got powder dipped nails & after 1 week they all chipped & 3 FELL OFF! &They are way over-priced compared to other salons Ive tried. But I had $ left on the gift card so I had to give them another try. Had a different technician but results werent any better. She didnt even get all the way close to the top & sides of my nails, so it already looks like theyre a week old. They overbooked, so even tho I had an appt, I still waited 40 mins to begin. They are very nice, but not skilled or worth the high price.

Best mani / pedi in the city!

I used to love this salon. I would go out of my way and pay extra to have a pedicure there. However, the last few times there my pedicures were super rushed. My feet weren’t even scrubbed. The woman who did my sisters feet had a nasty demeanor and made us feel uncomfortable.

OVERPRICED... I have been here twice for a fill. The first time I asked to keep it a short coffin style like I had she cut too much off to make that possible but still tried. I went in an hour before they closed the other day the tech was rushing and had a bad attitude. Again wanted the short coffin style but it turned out round and uneven. They were sweeping around me and under my chair I was still sitting in. Charging 50 dollars for a fill I would expect better. At the end she asked if I always pick a neutral color in a judging tone honestly I don’t trust this salon to do anything else.

Long story short- the employees here are racist.Ive been here maybe 4 or 5 times over the past year and Ive always had some off-vibes. However, nothing bad enough has happened that warranted a review. TODAY was a different story. The store is always busy, I understand that I will usually have to wait 5-10 minutes on a good day to get started. I walked in today and NOBODY said a word or even acknowledged me. I started searching for a nail color and a nice pedicurist asked if wanted a pedicure and started the water for me. The pedicure was great! Everything went downhill by the time it came for me to get my powder manicure. I was sat in the seat of a manicurist- A tall younger woman. She seemed like she would rather do ANYTHING than do my nails. Instead of starting on me, she massaged the hands of the woman next to me who was the client of another manicurist. okay... I thought. She finally starts on me and puts the nail polish remover and foil on my hands. Another woman walks into the store and she gleefully takes her ahead of me. I didnt get upset because I know it takes around 10 minutes for the acetone to sit on a gel manicure to get it off. 35 minutes later she was done with the manicure of the woman she took ahead of me, but she did not come to finish my manicure. She decided to start on the feet of someone who also came in after me? By this point, I was extremely frustrated. There were 3 other manicurists around and still nobody helped me. I had been here for 1.5 HOURS at this point!!! Finally, someone came and took off the polish. She asked what color powder I wanted when I start (embarrassingly) crying out of frustration. I ask her to just cut my nails and do clear polish. She was very nice and got me tissues and water. However, I was put off when I was asked to pay BEFORE my manicure was over! I had been there for over two hours and NOBODY else was asked to pay beforehand, even women with much more elaborate styles. I am so upset and will never be back. If youre black and youve never been here- I say stay away! They do seem to love and cherish and greet their white customers with joy when they walk in, so my non-melanated sisters will enjoy.

Completely horrible full set, it hasn’t even been 48 hours and all my nails are off. They received two stars because the pedicurest I had did an awesome job. I didn’t know going swimming would make your nails drop off the way mines did. A wast of $70.00 should of just paid $45 for my pedicure and been content. Will not be recommending this place to family or friend and I will continue to cross the bridge into cherry hill to get my nails done

This was my first time getting my nails done at a spa type thing. I went in wanting to get some nail art done. I was told when making my appointment that I could bring in a picture and that they would be able to do that. I showed the woman who was working on refilling my nails the pictures I had on my phone. She basically told me that it was too busy and intricate to do. (It was a very simple design.) The nail art lady tooled at it and said that it looked too childish, and the other woman laughed and said,based on what she had coming in, she will be okay with it. I tried to at least get some polka dots, but the nail art lady said that it would be too much. I left not getting what I asked for, not even close.Nevermind the rude comments, I was paying for something that wasnt even close to what I came in hoping for. I will not be coming back.

This is my go to nail salon in Fishtown! Its always very clean, they always have the newest shades of OPI/ Essie, and everyone always makes sure your pedis and manis look great. My latest shade was sheer (which I didnt realize) and Jin made sure to give me thin, even, coats until we both thought my nails matched the color in the bottle. The owner always greets everyone when they walk through the door 😊

Im absolutely in love with this place. Exceeded my expectations!!!! Received a pedicure today and it was exactly what I needed from a long week at work. Felt like a true spa pedicure for only $30!!! She took her time with each foot and massaged like a true professional. I would recommend this place to anyone. Its above and beyond customer service.

Prime location on 2nd Street. Prices are beyond fair, cheaper than Center City. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Well worth the visit.

Ive been to this salon twice, both times Ive gotten the worst pedicure ever.The tech got up in the middle of the pedicure to look at photos on another customers phone.She barely used the pumice stone on my feet. I told her I needed some extra TLC. She brushed my foot once more and asked if it was enough.This salon is terrible

Terrible. Latino nail technician was horrible last week and was angry throughout my entire pedi, which had to be fixed twice, eventually by one of the Korean ladies. This was probably my fifth time there as I live within walking distance. Will not be going back anytime soon. If I have to go further for beteeb service I will. Its been a week since the pedicure and its already chipped. Poor service, I would not recommend anyone going there. Stay away.

I went to this salon a few weeks ago and I refuse to go back. I paid $50 for a full acrylic set and there were so many issues that I contemplated even laying them. The design I wanted was sloppy and it was literally just one nail half red and half silver. The woman who did my nails filed them for 45 minutes or longer, leaving my nails way shorter than I wanted and so thin that two of them broke off within a week of getting them done.

I went in there today to remove an ingrown nail from my toenail and the owner kept insisting that I have an infection. So instead of removing my ingrown, she decided to cut my toenail in a slanted way. When the other nail lady tried to come and fix it, the owner told her to stop and wont let her do it. First, you cut off my toe nail and then stop someone from fixing your mistake? So ridiculous. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Everytime I come to Genesis, Kelly consistantly provides a positive experience. She is patient and welcoming the nail salon is always clean. I love the pedicures, especially the hot stones. Everyone is kind and appreciative I dont go anywhere else!

Def a gentrification area.I was the ony black chick,not that they discriminated against me,but you can tell they cater mostly to white women( judging by clientle & the magazines).They only get plain nude gel manicures on the super little to bald fingernails😂🤣😂🤣.However The latin women had gave me the best but interesting pedicure.Although I had to wait 15-20 minutes to continue to get my nails done🙄But they turned out beautiful❣️

Terrible customer service. TERRIBLE.The first time I went here it was great. The salon manager did a great job on my Shellac mani and it looked awesome. I had a south american girl do my toes and the massage was great, pedicure good.The second time I went there, I brought a friend with me and we both got mani/pedis. The girl who did my nails did not want to use the color I selected for my Shellac manicure, which is Romantique. I always get the same color wherever I go. She ignored my color request and used another color from the Gelish line which I didnt want. When I told her that wasnt the color I wanted, the manager came over and started speaking to her in Korean, and then said in English but thats not what she wants. The girl sulked and then continued to use the color I didnt want and then put a second coat of another similar color on my nails. I wanted a light, pale pink and I got orangey-peach. Then it was time for my pedicure. I was hoping for one of the south american girls again because theyre really nice and take their time. I didnt get that. I got three cranky Korean ladies arguing over who was going to do my pedicure and it seemed like none of them wanted to do it. Finally, one of the older ladies succumbed and gave me a half-assed pedicure, while looking off in the distance, not really paying attention.I thought they might be having a bad day so I decided to go back a third time, this time bringing TWO friends with me, and we all made appointments. It was toward to the end of the day, and the salon manager gave me a Shellac manicure but used two different colors again, this time using the color I wanted as the second coat. My friends got both their mani/pedis but the manager said they didnt have time to do my pedicure, and that I shouldnt have come so late -- next time come earlier (?!). I told her we had all booked appointments for both services and that there should have been time for me to get both services as well. She said they were closing and couldnt do it. I cant believe they treated me like that after bringing two new clients with me. By the way, I have really nice feet so Im not sure why they never want to give me a pedi. I am plus size, maybe thats it. Who knows?Never again.

This salon is horrible. The workers are really rude. The girl who did my pedicure kept massaging my leg really hard and boring her thumb into the bone. I told her that it hurt after wincing several times and pulling my leg back. And she kept doing it. Ive been getting pedicures for years and have never experienced anything like that.But the worst thing is I made an appointment for a mani and pedi. The appointment was for 6:30, and they closed at 8:30. I sat with my feet soaking for 15 mins before someone came over to do my pedi. Then they told me at 7:30 that they couldnt do my pink and white fill b/c the girl wouldnt have enough time. I was shocked and pushed back. Then they told me I could get color instead. I was like, Youre kidding, right? No. I get pink and white. They told me to come back tomorrow - with an hour to go before they closed.Never again.

Very kind staff. I smudged my manicure before I left and when they saw it, they wouldnt let me leave without fixing it - even though the polish had been put back on the shelf and was lost in the mix.

Im from Australia, and the most Ive ever had to wait has been 5 minutes. The people are slow, and seem quite disorganised. I had been waiting for 15 minutes, but then two people with appointments came in and were rushed to chairs, while I continued to wait for another 10 minutes.Got up and left after 25 minutes.

This is the first nail salon that I have ever seen where non of them no anything about nails. 35.00 for a refill. Can we say NEVER AGAIN

One time I just happen to walk by this salon and wanted my eyebrows done and I didn’t even step foot inside before the Chinese or whatever they are said “we are closing soon” but the way it happened made me feel like she was being biased and there were people still sitting and waiting.....so???

Arrived at 5 for a pedicure. Even though they close at 530, I was turned away. Wont be coming back...

The salon is clean and the staff is professional. However my friends acrylic nails melted and smudged before leaving, were not fixed properly, and my pedicure smudged the next day
