Made appointment for 10:00 a.m. and had to wait 50 minutes on the sidewalk to get into the office to start the process of renting my car. They are trying their best, but they are very understaffed for the level of business theyre doing. Be prepared to wait at pickup and return...otherwise, the car was fine. Customer service depends on which agent is at the desk. Some are very nice and professional. Others a bit rude.

Terrible return process. Took forever and a complete waste of my time. You should have two queues: one for pickups and one for rentals so returners (who literally just have to notify the person they parked) dont have to wait 30+ minutes

This location feels disorganized but I still picked up a car from them without issue. I was traveling on business and had rented a midsize car with them. It took about 10 minutes for them to check me in and then it took about 15 minutes for the valet next door to fetch the car from the garage for me but they had warned me about that in advance. When I arrived, they told me that they were upgrading me to a Jeep Wrangler. It was a nice upgrade but it did tell me that they didnt actually have any available midsize cars. The Jeep was a bit dirty from the previous renters and the car only had a quarter tank of gas but they agreed to give me that gas for free.Ultimately, the car got me where I needed to go and there were no unexpected fees when I returned it in Newark, NJ, four days later.

Horrible experience! Reserved online and got confirmation. After 20 minutes dragging my heavy luggage through the city they said they had no cars until 5 hours later! When I asked why they didn’t tell me beforehand I was told they were busy and didn’t get around to it. When I asked Seth what he suggested I do he said take a train or bus. No manager ever called back, no one answers Hertz Corp number when trying another location. Enterprise has my business now.

The experience was Ok but this location is not in a position to handle covid restrictions. Having to stand outside in line in the heat without being able to sit down is not fair to the customer. They have two employees but only one person is allowed in the office to pick up a car. The agent Sumayah was very helpful and went out of her way to make my wait shorter. Lastly, the car was not cleaned or inspected the way it should have been. There were leftover items in the backseat including a personal item containing hair. I’m giving them three stars due to the very good price I received on this rental. Otherwise it would’ve been two stars.

I had a great experience with the Hertz crew at 1700 Benjamin Parkway, Philadelphia. Devon Hopkins was very helpful and courteous over the phone and Jeff Williams gave me superb customer service in person when I came to pick my car up... it was simple and easy and he gave me tips on returning the car which made the return very easy and convenient. I would never ever rent from them ever again when I picked up the rental the tank was on a quarter when I brought it back it was on quarter I was charged for the extra days I had the rentalI was ok with that $575.05 then the next day I was charged an additional $400 without my authorization for smoking and I do not smoke. They have the valet from the hotel next door drive the car up to the garage and park the car the rep said they didn’t check the car until 3pm I returned the car at 12pm so they waited 3 hours later to charge my card and say I was smoking she said she could smell smoke. This place horrible I’ll never rent from here EVER!!!

Don’t never rent from them they rob you out your money I rent the car they took the money off my credit so they said when I come in I don’t have to pay nothing get there still have to pay and 200 to hold return the car never got my 200 back not was wrong with car I vacuum clean car and gave it the same gas I got half tank they just take people money my receipt say 197 didn’t get nothing back

Front desk people are cool and helpful but every time I try to reach by phone it is never answered. I try calling almost every business hour every day. Phone is either “not available”, busy or just ringing to voicemail but mailbox is even full. I can only go in person but it’s a waste of my time.

Avoid at all costs. Had to wait on the sidewalk for 90 minutes with 6 other customers to get car. When I got it, it had a busted wheel bearing, but there was nothing I could do because the location had closed and was closed the next day (Sunday), and Hertz customer service is also closed on weekends. Writing this review while again standing on the sidewalk, waiting in line behind five more angry customers just to return the car and tell them the car was broken.

I dont appreciate how the staff disrespectfully insinuated that I was some form of health hazard, when they had no proof of it. When I was checking out my vehicle, I wore a face shield. This is a form of a face covering, and can be used as a mask alternative. This somehow, did not satisfy the clerk at the counter. It is very disrespectfulto treat your customers like potential health hazards, rather than human beings, especially if you have no proof or evidence of that person being sick.This covid-19 propaganda is messing up peoples thought processes and making them lose their sense of humanity. The virus itself has a 99% survival rate, and does not warrant the paranoia, lack of humanity, or the needless, draconian restrictions that are being placed on us. Because of this, I will not rent from this location again, until they regain the art of treating their patrons like human beings.

My experience with this hertz location was excellent. I booked online and pickup and rental process was smooth and fine. Staff (dont remember her name) was helpful too. Pice was much cheaper than airport so I took septa train to get here. It was short train ride from airport. Everything was a fine experience for me.

I pick up a Hertz weekly rental at your Philadelphia 30th Station location. I have been doing this for 14 months straight and will be doing so for at least the next 12 months of my consulting project in the area. I wouldn’t even think of renting from another company. The storefront there is resourced well, with responsive employees. The folks at the counter are great! - I wish I could remember all of their names to share with you. My vehicle is always ready for pick-up, so pick-up is quick. Drop off is quick and painless as well. The cars I have rented have been great - new models, low mileage, clean, etc.

This location accidentally charged me twice -- and sent me two receipts -- for one reservation. Good luck actually calling and speaking with someone because this location (like most Hertz locations) refuses to answer the phone, in the hopes that youll call corporate instead.I would walk, hitchhike, or crawl before I ever used them for another rental. Oh, and FWIW, Im a Gold Club Presidents Circle member. So its worth noting that these fools dont discriminate, they treat ALL their customers poorly.

Rented a car from them January 7-29th now was just charged for all these tolls in New Jersey and New York that occurred while I was actually at work with the vehicle I. West Philadelphia. From reading the reviews I now feel like this company has employees doing some illegal things that they may not know about. It is physically impossible for me to be in new York at 5pm when I am already at work and do not get off until 11pm and I’m sorry but I’m not up at 5 am let alone on my way to New York at 5 am. I don’t even get up that early to work out. Now hopefully my situation won’t be like the other person a few reviews down and they never got back to her because they literally do double and triple charge you for tolls. BEWARE!!!

Do not rent from this Hertz location. I returned my car, and a month later got a notice that there was damage to the car. There was no damage to the car when I returned it. When reviewing their incident report, the Hertz agent claimed that they contacted me to discuss the damage. A few things were red flags: 1. The number they had for me was not my number. 2. They said they tried to call me twice, on dates that were BEFORE I rented the car. My theory is they found damage after the car was parked in the public parking garage and decided to pin it on me with complete lies. Horrible. I am renting from Enterprise now and am very happy with them! Will never rent from Hertz again.

HORRIBLE. If I could give zero stars I would. They have terrible customer service. They were no help at all. I went to get my car rental and only have a temporary license at the time, so I gave them that. The guy looked at it, (didnt even try to put it in the system) and said no that wont work in our system. I went to another Hertz rental location and they took my temporary license with no problem at all! If you are looking to get a car rental from Hertz I 100% recommend going to the one at Marriott hotel, they are very helpful and know what theyre doing.

Hertz, you are the worst! I rented a car 29 January, you haven’t notified me about your PlatePass and added it without my approval. I ended up double charged for ALL toll roads!! Sent you an email over 2 weeks ago and no response!! Not even auto reply! Called your customer service 3 times and nothing! Are you even doing anything about that situation? I’ll never rent a car with you again and make sure to tell all my acquaintances not to do that!Not to mention that I booked a compact car and was given a small Toyota Yaris where even my suitcase didn’t fit.

Steer clear of Hertz and this location as long as Manager Mike Mattia and Vanessa are there.On Monday March 20, a reservation was made with a customer service rep at this location. Despite the reservation, the location has decided not to fulfill it claiming they are short on cars.While waiting in the office to discuss my reservation on March 20, I hear Vanessa call her manager Mike Mattias about another customer. She discusses how to inform this other customer that there are no cars so as to be able to give the car to another customer.On Wed March 22 after making a repeat reservation, the location calls me to tell me they still have no cars and will call me when they do. However, when I visit the location the next day, I observe multiple customers taking cars out.Further, I never received a call back about my reservation and it mysteriously just canceled.Clearly there are shady business practices occurring at this Hertz location.Oh and a week later, no car.

Well where do I start...As a consultant Im always on the go! I need a car, a car mean a car that gets me to point A to point B! I dont ask for much except Bluetooth so I can take calls on the go.But this place is as fast as a 80 yr old who cant drive but still somehow gets a car to drive in Tampa! Or better yet its like going to fine dining given the name hertz but still get shittttty service or wrong car!But its ok, dont worry, there is always a printer broken, or the wireless doesnt work, or your car isnt ready yet, or sorry I didnt close your bill fast enough, or youre just lazy to switch hertz because its the closest one and you need a car to go...In short...youre better off getting a homeless guy give you a ride
