Ricky to guy at the counter is a little rude and unwelcoming. When I dropped my car off first thing Monday morning for my appointment, I asked when I would here something back he assured me by that afternoon that I would here something. By Wednesday afternoon still havent heard from him. Car is just sitting in the lot. That afternoon I call them and they said they couldnt find anything wrong on Monday when they looked last. They said they will look again. Ricky said come back Thursday at 3:30. If we can fix it we will have it done then. I come back nothing else has been done to solve the problem. Ricky does go over couple of things that needed fixed. I told him Im not a mechanic I dont know what these things are. He didnt know either and had to go into shop and ask someone. He then said I need to fix them. They didnt try to fix the problems at all. They didnt want my business. I felt like I was being pushed out the door and take my business elsewhere. The shop might be great but it seems like Ricky might have been the problem. A simple call on Monday telling the whats going on then describing the other problem and how long it would take them to fix would have been the best thing in my eyes as a customer to do.

I had my truck worked on last Friday The gentleman at the desk named Mitchell help me out greatly Hes a great guy I hope that he made it to his baseball game over in Pensacola to see his team play they fixed my truck fast and even used my own parts I would use them again no questions asked.

Ricky and staff were all friendly and very knowledgeable, they take time to explain everything to you and answers all your questions.. You cant beat both their professional services and, or prices..As a female I absolutely highly recommend Hewitts for all of your auto repairs and tires, their the most honest crew, and will not take advantage of you....

I think they do good work, but they should be specific in what everything means, when quoting a price for new tire replacements. I left feeling I had been over charged, because my bill for that task was higher than the quote. I think they are too pricey in general. My relatives like them. They recommended this place. The owner and receptionist are friendly and personable. My car is running good now.

While on vacation I found my tire to be flat. (Easy fix right??) wrong!!! I went to 3 different “large chain” locations and was treated terribly by the staff... sat in my car and began searching for someone to help me out. I finally found Hewett’s. I called and spoke with Ricky who was very helpful and told me to come on. As my luck would have it, the tire could not be fixed. Fortunately Hewett’s was prepared to ensure my tire was replaced and I could safely return 6 hours home without worrying about my tire. I definitely recommend Hewett’s. Do not fall for the “chain company” thinking they care about their customers, you will be disappointed.

They put the highest quality work into every repair. I went in for my two front struts and brake pads all the way around. They didn’t just throw new pads on. They completely resurfaces my drums and rotors. Along with putting high quality parts on my vehicle. I couldn’t be more happy about getting my truck back. Before you take your vehicle somewhere else. Since Hurricane Michael its been difficult to find a good service center. I had two major car problems on two different cars in the past 2 months. When my car broke down, I asked the tow truck driver if he knew of a good auto mechanic and he suggested Hewitt Tire and Auto. It was kind of pricey but they did go over all of the details on it with me and made suggestions for future repair. I was satisfied with their work and when my sons car broke down I had it towed to Hewitt. Again the job was pricey, however, rebuilding a transmission always is!!Both cars are running good now and in the hope that they will last until new cars can be purchased. Hewitt has a friendly informative staff, they dont pull any punches and they make sure to give you the best quality for your money. So, I would recommend Hewitt Tire and Auto because theyre honest an upfront.

HONEST MECHANICS. For my money, this is the best shop in Bay County. They are upfront about their rates and prices, which are reasonable. They will explain them if you want. They contact you if they find anything else wrong, they are quick and stick to their estimates of both money and time. They save your parts in case you want them. They are thorough and meticulous. They are helpful and knowledgeable. Their advice has not let me down yet. I do a lot of my own work but anytime I have something that I cant or dont want to do myself to my vehicles I go to Bills shop and his shop only because I know I can trust the work that gets done.

Had a tire going flat nearby this location while waiting for wife to get out of surgery. These guys understood the urgency and even though they were busy, quickly helped to get a tire replaced and back to surgery center in time to pick up my wife from recovery. Fast, friendly, professional, I cant say enough good things about these folks. I had never been there before but will be coming back.

Went in for oil change x 2 cars. greeted as i entered was promptly helped. i explained my needs and my car was taken into the service area in a matter of minutes. when completed i picked up car 2 a few miles away again promptly serviced. check out was also smooth with explanation of return interval. all staff very friendly and helpful. i definately would recomend them, and will return for next service!!

They were so nice. They squeezed me in right away to take a nail out of my tire. I had been to 3 other places and was told I would ha be to wait anywhere from 4-6 hours. I just want to say Thanks guys, you made my stressful day, a lot less stressful.

The folks at Hewett Tire and Auto got my truck in and changed all four tires, performed a front end alignment, did a basic suspension inspection and had the truck ready for pick up all in one afternoon. The price was comparable to competitors, but the scheduling was more convenient than other places. I was running close to closing time to pick up my truck so the desk team called me to check if I was coming. They ended up staying after closing time for several minutes to allow me to get my vehicle.

HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT GO HERE! I would not recommend them at all! My brother was in an accident due to brake failure and my family thought they could be trusted. Hewetts checked them out and declared everything was fine and then my brother had the brakes fail AGAIN! Took it to someone else and they found the problem - his ABS system was not working AT ALL! They almost cost him being in another accident. Working brakes can determine life or death and they did not check them thoroughly. Also when the car was called about to be checked on, the tech said he didnt even know if the car was there or not and it WAS! If you dont even know if a car is on property, that is total gross negligence. Recommending no one use them. Just taking peoples money, endangering them by not doing their job and not even sure if they have your car or not! Ridiculous!

If I could put no stars I absolutely would. Please read as I explain. I came into Hewitt and told him I needed a diagnostic check because my car was staying in high rmp, making a loud raffle noise, my traction control kept slipping off and my tire rotors were bad. I left my car for two weeks and he called me 3 days in and told me I needed 4 new motor mounts and my total would be 1,000$ then he calls me 6 days in and says he was wrong that I only needed one rotor and break pads and my total would be 700$ Then called the next day to tell me something completely different. They had absolutely no idea what was wrong because they aren’t equip to fix cars or anything for that matter. I then go to pick up my car and he said he couldn’t fix the traction control because he didn’t know how. I then asked him how to get my service engine light off and he googled how to do it RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY FACE. This is horrible service. They are rude and SO UNPROFESSIONAL. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE. And not to mention my car Is still messed up today.

Stopped in at Hewett Auto Center for tires late in the work day. They quickly found what I was looking for and expertly put a couple of tires on my car. I will be returning for my auto service/repair needs. I think I might have met Mr. Hewett many years ago when he worked at another repair shop. Glad to do business with him again.

Great local business! I had to bring my husbands truck in for new tires. The price was spot on! There waiting area was comfortable enough. The staff was super friendly and great company! They gave us a nice warranty as well!

Went in for an oil change, alignment, and exhaust rattling issue. They diagnosed the exhaust rattle pretty quick, but didnt do anything to fix it. Alignment was a nightmare... Because their machine states my car does not specify front camber/caster adjustments they couldnt do anything. So I basically paid for an alignment that was the EXACT SAME as when I drove in, I know this because I had to ASK FOR THE PRINTOUT TWICE. I brought my own oil and filter for the change which I explained to the guy at the front desk, he acknowledged. When I walked out to see how the oil change was going the tech was NOT using my oil, he said nobody told him I brought my own oil. Overall I was at this place for a little over 3 hours and all I got for it was better knowledge of a muffler rattle and oil that I didnt want in my car... Waste of a $116.00 plus the cost of my oil/filter. Oh... Forgot to mention the steering wheel... They said my steering wheel was off, so they adjusted that and now my steering is extremely loose and not as responsive.

Excellent customer service

The owner took care of my car personally, he took time to look over my car and write down all the damage done by the hurricane. He gave me a date to bring the car in so he could start the repair. He called me two days before the date he gave me and told me to bring my car in. When I arrived he took my key and pulled my car in and started my repairs. I am very pleased with his repair shop.

Im in Illinois and called them, spur of the moment, to help one of my customers that had an issue while vacationing. Heather answered the call and took them in immediately without hesitation. I found them because we are both AAA approved repair facilities and they did not disappoint. Thanks so much to the crew at Hewett, you guys are awesome.

Beware! Replaced a fuel pump on an older Rolls Royce I inherited. Car was not running correctly due not getting enough fuel to the motor. The receipt for the work done was still in the car and was charged over $900 for a Rolls Royce fuel pump(just the part not including installation), but what they installed was a $130 Facet universal pump. Spoke to the owner on the phone he told me that’s the pump Rolls Royce had sent him... Ok. So I asked if he could check the warranty on it from “Rolls Royce” since it was a “factory part”. He said he would, I left my name and number never heard anything back. I since have replaced it with the correct factory Rolls Royce pump and the car runs great.

This place is a joke i think they have hired help off the street to change tires they balanced my tires with the old weights still on the rim .i asked for the weights to be installed on the inside if the rim but they didnt listen so had to wait 2 hrs longer to have redone then they charged me for services they didnt do. They charged me for replacing valve stems when they clearly did not because i have tire pressure monitoring stems .if you choose to do business with them please check to see they did the job right before leaving this is my advice to you

People here are nice, but still human. They changed glow plugs for me, which required removal of wheel well fender liner. They got it back in but it was scrubbing when I turned the wheel. I did not take it back, I just went to the parts house and purchased the plastic clip that was left out and replaced it. Problem solved.

Dishonest. I brought my 2016 Civic in yesterday due to noise in front driver wheel. They test drove and said it was a bearing although they admitted they had issues discerning which side was bad. They erroneously replaced the bearings on the wrong wheel. I paid over 500.00 for a tire rotation and the bearing replacement work. Picked up my vehicle and have the same issue with driver front wheel noise. Then they said the driver bearings ALSO need replaced and thatll be an additional 300.00. There was never an issue with my passenger wheel. Hewitt Tire would not own up to their mistake. Ricky spoke to owner this morning and they offered me a deal. I can pay an ADDITIONAL 180.00 to have the correct bearings replaced! No compensation or apology. I drove the vehicle to a different shop and a bad driver bearing was correctly diagnosed within 5 minutes. Total cost for replacement? Only 200. Hewitt is overpriced and dishonest.**UPDATE: 8 months later bearing they replaced began making loud noise and had to be replaced. New shop said nut was way overtightened which would ruin bearings and Hewitt had put one directional tire on backwards. See uploaded image of invoice repair.

The most honest auto repair in Panama City. I came in an HR and 15 min before my sons drs appt asked if they had time to align my truck or if I needed to come back I another time and the owner said he would. He made sure the mechanics knew I needed it done at a certain time and they were done when they said it would be. Everyone was so friendly and caring. When they were done and I went to pay it was cheaper than what was quoted. I will always take my truck here even if it just needs an oil change. They will always have my business!

I came in with a coupon that said oil change which included a tire rotation for $22.99. Im new to the area and prefer to utilize local businesses over chains so I thought Id give them a try hoping I would find a trustworthy spot for dependable oil-changes. I made an appointment, brought in my car and presented my coupon. While waiting in the lobby a worker repeatedly came in trash talking his job and co-worker. Although, unprofessional I didnt mind that so much, after all its a tire shop. After the car was finished I paid and asked Did you rotate the tires? No, you have to ask for that. The worker said. I argued my point that it was included as part of the oil change per the coupon but needed to get home so I didnt argue the point much even though I knew I had an overinflated tire. Then the worker said They should of leveled them off still. Just then tech had worked on my car came in a the cashier asked Did you level off her tires? The tech said yes. As I was getting my car the guy from the counter said Well it is Friday as if that should have a bearing on whether I get good service or not. Sure enough I get in my car and check the tire pressure on my cars computer and loe and behold, the tires hadnt been touched. Like I said, I needed to get home to my child so I wasnt going to push it too much and besides I didnt want to risk the guy bitching about his job and co-workers touching my car for fear of some sort of petty retaliation-the tech that said he leveled the tires had just left. So between the shortcomings in service and the baldfaced lie I probably wont be back. Anyone know a better locally owned place for oil changes?

Extremely slow. Called 4 days early to make sure they could see me at 1:00 to get 2 new tires. Didnt take my car back until close to 3:00 and then when they finished (@5:00) they had put 4 new tires on. I only needed 2 new ones, the other 2 only had a couple thousand miles on them. I had to wait another 45 minutes for them to put my other tires back on. Ended up sitting there for almost 5 hours to get 2 tires and front end alignment. The people were very nice and I think they did a good job but I wont be going back.

They tried to charge me an extra $130 on top of the $60 for the alignment and when I told them I didn’t want them to mess with the steering box they refused to do the alignment and put me out

Hewetts tire and auto center is some straight scammers. I had the worst experience dealing with them and they didnt even do no work on my car it was all about their customer care . I took my car to be checked by them and they didnt tell me in the beginning that it was a charge to check out my car. Long story short they just put my car on the rack checked it gave me a high as quote then after every thing desired to charge me for checking and when I told them hold on u didnt tell it was a charge I would have went and got the money first then came back they told me they didnt have to tell me then when point ed at a sign that was very unnoticeable in the back and it also didnt have nothing to do or didnt even really confirm I had the pay and I didnt have the money on me at the time and he refuse to let my car of the rack he also told me the only reason he was charging me was just in case I got the work done else where and if I let them do the work he would give the money back I called my attorney no she said this was against the law he tried to tell me it wasnt he also priced galves me on parts and labor I would have eyes anyone not to use these guys they are scammers it was one of the most worst customers. Ive ever had also was very embarrassing I had to call someone to bring me the money there also was no signs else where that included a fee to check
