My husband and I contacted this company for a dumpster. We were both on the call taking to the (woman) owner. We knew we needed the dumpster for more than a week and talked at length about additional charges etc. She insisted several times that she would take care of us and work with us on the length of time and any applicable extra charges. I asked for the dumpster to be delivered on a Monday. They insisted on bringing it the next day 7 days prior to the time we needed it. When the (husband) owner delivered the dumpster he argued with us about where it should be placed. Eventually we got it settled. Exactly one week from the day I actually needed the dumpster he showed up to take it away, despite us not being done with it. He now claimed that there was no “extra daily rate” despite my husband and I both saying, we had discussed this at great length with the owner. He kept insisting they gave us all this “extra” time for free. Well we didn’t need the dumpster 7 days in advance of the project starting so that was not an advantage to us. He was argumentative, obstinate and completely out of line. We decided to just let him take the dumpster and and figure out what to do for the remainder of our project. We were charged an extra $176 dollars for being overweight, but they can not produce proof of the weighing of the dumpster. We certainly would never recommend any one use this service. There are so many other dumpster companies….choose someone else!

Beware!! Absolutely horrible company in my opinion! We spent over $1,500 renting dumpsters for a house cleanout and notice 2 additional charges on our credit card. When I called to inquire I was verbally attacked when I requested documents to prove the weights that they claim they emptied. I should have known they were sketchy when the driver (who is either the owner or manager) offered to take a couple computer monitors for $20 cash. He went off on a expletive laden tirade which exemplifies their unprofessional nature.

The dumpster arrived on schedule. Thrifty dumpsters driver was very professional and courteous. He placed the dumpster exactly where I needed it placed. They were very prompt in picking it up and their price was competitive. I would utilize their service again if needed and I would recommend it to my friends and neighbors. As a matter of fact my neighbor across the street had one delivered on Wednesday from Thrifty.

Be very careful with this place. Shop around. Owner always answers phone, and tells me hes giving me a great deal, contractor pricing. It is not contractor pricing. It is right in line with every other dumpster company. He is very condescending. The dumpster showed up with a bunch of trash in it as shown on picture. The owner says this is normal and theres no way the drivers can get it all out. He did explain to me that there is a weight limit, however, he never said I wouldnt be notified and a charge would just appear on my credit card for $200. I guess I also paid for the trash that was in there to start. I was very upset about the lack of communication, and said I was leaving a bad review and he said theres laws to protect me against that kind of thing. Needless to say I wont be using this dumpster company again.

I was doing some home remodeling and needed a dumpster. The person who answered the phone had the rudest and most condescending demeanor. I really couldnt fathom that someone who is trying to sell me something was acting in this fashion. Even though they quoted a great price, I could not in good faith give this person my business. I like to save money as much as the next guy, but seriously... the attitude of this person was really unbelievable. I would steer clear of this group until they take some courses teaching basic human decency. REDICULOUS.

Used Thrifty 4 times this year for a few major projects. They are responsive and their prices are great. Dumpsters are clean and they pick up when they say they will. Highly recommend Thrifty!

Had a really unprofessional experience with this company. The person I spoke with was very disrespectful and unprofessional. Will never use this company and do not recommend. Found another company that has the same rates for a much larger weight limit. They also provide contracts that detail the additional charges and receipts prior to the dumpster delivery to avoid any miscommunications.looks like several other people had similar unprofessional experiences

If I ever had to order a dumpster again, I would hire these guys without hesitation. They were very responsive, polite, courteous, and thoughtful. The gentleman remembered I had soft soil along my narrow driveway and so when he came to pick up the dumpster, he made sure to dispatch smaller truck to stay on the asphalt but still strong enough to take the dumpster away. I got my receipt promptly as promised. They were also on top of their communication when I had any questions or concerns.

From start to finish Thrifty really delivered a quality service in a professional and timely manner. The representative that I dealt with on the phone was super patient and very accommodating as my situation required a quick dropoff and a certain day for pick up. Buyer beware !!! do not use this company.1.We ordered a 20 yard container for a certain date and to be dropped at a specific location. It was dropped off 3 days early in the wrong spot, causing issues for another delivery and was never notified they were dropping off. Called and got an apology.2. Called to have container picked up they indicated it would be picked up within 24 to 48 hours. Nope almost a week later. Called and got an apology.3.Requested a receipt from company and asked if there was an additional charge for an overage fee, which is common if you go over the weight limit. I was informed there were additional charges and a receipt would be emailed out. After several more calls and the run around and being assured that receipt is being emailed, still no receipt.4. Two months later we are gathering receipts for taxs and low and behold I was charged an additional $169. This company is very misleading and appear to be friendly and cooperative but they are not.

Do not hire this company. My mom was looking for a local, family owned business to rent a dumpster for her deck removal. She decided to try Thrifty Dumpster. The owner Rick (or Ricky, John or Richard - depending on how hes feeling that day), was initially very nice and friendly to my mom who ordered a dumpster for her rental. Once the dumpster was at the house though, the problems started...the first issue was when we tried to have the dumpster picked up in December....the driver parked further up the road, watched the house and my moms tenant, and then drove away without knocking on the door or calling. When my mom called the owner, he told her that the driver couldnt remove the dumpster because the wood was piled too high. OK. We had the tenant rearrange the wood so that nothing was sticking out from the dumpster....arranged for a pickup, and STILL GOT THE RUN AROUND that the dumpster couldnt be picked up. Thats when this whole situation REALLY got out of hand. The owner ended up calling my mom at 7am and was SCREAMING that her credit card was declined and that he would absolutely not pick up that dumpster without a credit card on file or some form of payment. This is a man who was screaming at an elderly woman who lives out of state at 7am in the morning about payment for a dumpster he hadnt even removed. My mom called back and told the owner that she would arrange for funds (cash) to be given to the driver when the dumpster was picked up. Rick said he would remove the dumpster for $200 cash and be done with us. My mom asked for proof of payment (receipt) and the owner said that he doesnt issue receipts (WTF) and would send us something in the mail. We have not received any proof of payment in the mail and to add further insult to injury, the owner has now tried to charge her credit charge an additional $150 not once BUT TWICE. Thankfully my mom locked her card but PLEASE BE WARY when giving your credit card to this business as he will try to charge your card after the fact for *extra charges*. The owner is a lying, conniving, and untrustworthy business owner who needs to employ better workers and take responsibility for this business. When my mom called, several times the owner pretended to be someone else even though she recognized his voice...what absolutely shameful and disgraceful behavior. If I could I would give this business ZERO stars I would...You can expect to see this complaint on the BBB as well.

We ordered 4 dumpsters total. The 3rd was taken before we even put anything in it. In the companys defense, there was a miscommunication as to when the dumpster would be picked up. But for the other 3 that we put trash in, we were charged very steep overages. So their initial pricing may be attractive, but be sure to shop overage fees when comparing to other companies.

Totally unprofessional!! Dont do business with this company. The guys sweet talks you takes your card number then charges extra AFTER they pick up the dumpster. No where during the call did they say it cost money to put trash in the dumpster you just ordered!!!

I needed a dumpster for work that was supposed to start on a friday. At the time, they was booked...but to make sure i had something, the Thrifty Dumpster team delivered a before. Thats Great Customer Service! This is my second time using company and good customer service will always keep me coming back!

I ordered a dumpster from this guy and my first question was how long do I get the dumpster for. I cant remember the exact words that were said but he seemed very pleasant and humorous over the phone. He acted like it was no big deal and I told him I would call as soon as I was done. The reception on his phone is so terrible, it was going in and out in and out. The dumpster got to me mid day Friday. I worked all weekend on my job but had some setbacks. He shows up around lunch on Tuesday to pick it up without notice and then calls me a liar and was totally unprofessional about the whole ordeal. He was going to leave the dumpster for the rest of the day, but he took it anyway. Not that it would have helped much because I like to get all the trash off the job at the end and not use my pickup to go dump it myself!Every other company I have dealt with would let you have it for a week and two weeks or longer in the off season. So I got it for about two and a half working days! Good thing I worked Saturday and Sunday this weekend or he would have come to retrieve an empty dumpster.Horrible service, unprofessional and really dude how do you expect people to hear you wearing that earpiece for a phone I dont know. You should have made it completely clear how long the service was for,because you cost me a lot of lost time and money.The service was good until he gets your credit card info.

Horrible customer service.The guy that picked our dumpster asked if it was full.My husband said no..and the guy was like good because i will be driving by the construction..so he probably did that and filled our dumpster and we were charged extra $250 for it..when called their main person yelled at us and called us liers and hang up..BE AWARE this company Steals money!!!!!!!!

We recently used Thrifty Dumpster while we renovated our first floor and I have to disagree with some of the earlier reviews. They gave us a great price and explained the process clearly -- you pay the rental fee for the dumpster plus the weight of the trash (they called it the tonnage) at the dump. They delivered and retrieved the dumpster on time; we had it for a little more than a week without problem; and they were a pleasure to deal with throughout the process. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the area.

Rob did my inground pool demo. He explained the process clearly, got the heavy equipment there promptly and when he said he would, was in close communication with me about the status of the job while i was at work, and he simply did a good, thorough job. I wanted to give it some time before I wrote this review, to check for excessive settling or any other hidden issues, but there was no settling or issues to be found and the grass he planted over the jobsite came in nice. Took my particular job 3 days, and i was pleased w the price.

I have never written a review before although I have thought of it, but after my experience with this company I would like to spare anyone thinking of using them the stress. If everything had gone as planned I am sure I would have thought it was an OK company, but as the other reviewers who had bad experiences said, if you have to have a discussion or conversation with this gentleman, you will not be happy. He does not have any customer service skills. I am a professional and he basically offered to give me a review since he assumed I was at work taking care of personal business. How unprofessional. Left a message late on a Saturday, got a return call first thing Monday, and had a dumpster by Noon. You cant beat the price ! Customer service and Billing are easy to work with. If you need a dumpster, commercial or residential Thrifty should be your only call.

Couldnt be any happier with the service! Moving is stressful. Its financially taxing, you have to depend on others, and you need everything to run smoothly. Robert at Thrifty Dumpster couldnt have been any nicer! He beat all the competitors pricing, was more than flexible with the amount of time I had the dumpster, and worked around my hectic schedule.
