My first time in a nail salon in 6 months... wow!! Everything was clean and spaced out, plastic barriers on the pedicure seats and manicure tables! I called at noon for an appointment later in the day and they were able to fit me in at 5:30. At my appointment I met Jenny and the lovely girls at Glossy. Jenny took care of my acrylic set and WOW!! I am in love!! I should have known I was in good hands when I saw Jennys nails on herself, theyre fabulous! I showed some pictures of what I was going for but wow Jenny really listened to every detail I said because these are exactly how I envisioned them them in my head. These are not $45 nails... you do get what you pay for!! The quality is amazing and if youre getting any bling and/or long nails, itll be a little extra (as expected). Im so happy with my experience, the atmosphere in the salon was serene and very cute. I look forward to coming back :)

I had a horrible experience with this business, I almost wanted to cry! I’m a mother of two toddlers and my husband and I both work full time and have pretty busy schedules. We don’t have anytime for ourselves and our schedules are always different. The one time I had time to pamper myself I get greatly disappointed! I called to schedule an appointment but they told me they didn’t have available times in the morning. I said that’s fine I’ll just call another place. But then I received a call back and they tell me someone cancelled and they had availability at 10:30am, which was perfect for me since I had to be back home with my little ones by 12noon. I get there and the receptionist was already acting awkward and making phone calls like something was wrong. She sits me down and gives me nail polish swatches to pick from. Then a couple minutes later tells me that no one is available to do my nails until an hour later! Keep in mind my time is limited and I didn’t mention this but I wanted to have my nails done for a special event coming up and today was my only chance. This is very unprofessional to say the least. I will never come here again. I wanted to share my experience so it doesn’t happen to anyone else. Please make sure to call at least an hour before your appointment to make sure someone will be available for the services you inquired about!

Poor quality for a manicure especially for being so high in price. The wait is always way too long for a nail service from start to finish. 2 hrs plus is way to long. The salon is clean and the staff is friendly its just not the best quality job.

Made a reservation at 2:30pm but when we arrived they said wait 20mins. After 45 minutes of waiting I no longer wanted the service. We were there for my kids father who was given a gift certificate from our oldest daughter (who is a regular there) she told us to ask for Vanessa but Vanessa was off that day. They offered to take me but I told them no. I prefer that my kids father be seen first because we are celebrating his birthday. They knew this but insisted I still go first. I told them I was no longer interested. He said they did a good job he just didnt get his mimosa or champagne that was suppose to be included. This wasnt our first time there. We didnt like our first visit years ago. Never returned but we couldnt say no to a gift from our oldest. But we wont be returning and we did thank her. Just to never gift another certificate from there lol

My favorite nail salon. The techs are all very kind and detail oriented. The higher prices reflect the excellent quality of work and products used. I’ve only ever had outstanding service and never had a problem with any of my nails. The salon takes proper Covid precautions and is open for business!

Extremely long wait. I called ahead to make an appointment. I got there and the place was almost empty- only one customer and one other who walked in right after me and they started on her before me. I waited a full hour and they were nowhere near done with their two customers, so I walked out.

They continue to start work on new clients and leave you waiting halfway finished. Scheduled an appointment and was here for over 3 hours before services were completed. Prices are very high for rushed and inattentive services.

The only came in to waste some time. I got a pedicure and overall it was not the best experience. They were really disorganized, the lady that was giving me the pedicure was nice but was really rough and hurt me a few times. She went off to work on someone else and a different person painted my nails - she did it really quickly and didnt do the best job. When a third lady went to put my top coat on I pointed out the not nice polish job and she told me she wouldnt be able to fix it. Still charged 35$ :(

Be aware! The services are fine at this establishment but not only will they overcharge you, they then refuse to accept any form of payment other than cash. $24 was added to our bill which we could only assume was the “cost” of the child’s artwork the technician voluntarily added without asking.

Owner/Jenny? is rude and inconsiderate of your time and money spent getting here and waiting to get your nails done. My experience here has been bad the 5-6 times I have come here and I will not be returning here anymore. Even when I have called in before or made appointments in advance, when I arrive I am either told to come back at another time, or no one can service me anymore/at that time. I do not want to make assumptions and say it is because I am from a different demographic than most of their clientele, but it is very interesting and frustrating/upsetting that this keeps happening EVERY time. I have waited for hours each time and usually finally matched up with the most inexperienced/new nail tech who is new to doing dip nails—the service I get. And thus it usually takes her around 2 hours to do simple dip nails, and the job is not done that well. The owner/Jenny? does dip nails very well, but she is always booked out and chooses to only do mainly her friends, long term clients, her sister, or other nail tech workers nails there BEFORE YOU even if you made an appointment specifically with her and were there before your reservation time and have been waiting for a considerable amount of time past your appointment time. One time she left me in the middle of doing dip on my nails and went over to another table to do her sisters who just finished up her shift there or something and was going out on a date or something and wanted her nails done quick by her sister. I was shocked. The owner told some other worker to come and finish me up and told me she was going to go do her sisters nail. I informed her that was very inappropriate and she should finish my nails first. She replied “But it’s my sister :) you understand?” wow. Ridiculous. This was after I waited over an hour after my appointment time previously scheduled with the owner and just to have the owner do my nails. Again, I don’t know if this is being done to discourage certain demographics from coming and utilizing their service, but this has been my experience EVERY time on about 6 different occasions.Very upsetting, inconsiderate, and rude behavior. Will not return.

Jenny & cam did a bomb job on my nails! Even thru this pandemic they take precautions and still ensure the best work quality! Highly recommend coming here. You might think it’s pricey but WORTH it!!!!

This place is by far the best nail salon Ive ever been to! My nails look great!It also is the cutest little nail salon. They have such cool and classy manicure stations.They also offered me spa water and the ice cubes were shaped like hearts...I mean what??? So cute!10/10 would recommend Glossy!

Meticulous! My nails looks perfect. I was in a rush and my technician was adamant about cleaning up my nails and making them look perfect. They are always open for walk ins which is great for last minute appointments..they can do any design you desire

I have been there for 2 years and I NEVER have a disappointment, it comes to the point where I come in and I let T do whatever she wants with my nails. I just stayed there last week and still love my nails. I introduced a lot of people there and personally took people there and they all said exactly the same thing and they still came to T. Highly recommended. Great.

Today I came to this place to experience it. The girls here work hard and I trust them and give them their hands. Finally they used very nice colors on my hands. I recommend that I do not want to go any further. By choice I will return to this place. Thanks very much

Ive been a client of Jennys for the past few months, and I wont be going anywhere anytime soon! The salon is clean (normal salon clean, AND Covid-19 clean), customer service is always on point, and I leave the salon in a fairly timely manner.

Fast and friendly while also doing a good job. My nails grew out over 3 weeks (super long for me!)but my gel mani didnt chip. This is my go to for a pedicure, great color selection and the girls are always so sweet and accommodating. Very clean and relaxing environment.

Wonderful place. So happy theyre close to my Studio. They have multiple that specialize in intricate nail designs. You show them a photo and they will make it happen. At the end of the day we always get what we pay for and never walk away disappointed.

The manager treats you like a celebrity, the staff is kind and immediately greets you at the door, and their service is the best Ive experienced at a nail salon. I have been going to Glossy for well over a year now and Ive never had a bad experience. Ive tried so many other nail salons closer to where I live in Hayward, but Im never satisfied. I went to Glossy 3 weeks ago to get an Acrylic Full Set with Jenny specifically based on reviews. My nails came out pretty close to perfect. I like thin naturally looking nails but with length. Jenny delivered. I havent had a full set this great in a while. I will be going back to Jenny for a fill hopefully this weekend, only because theyre grown out. No cracking or broken nail here even with thin nails. Definitely staying loyal to Glossy, and Jenny:)

The place is overall very nice.. all nail technicians are very good. However, never book with Jenny, although she does appointments on her own, she takes other people in between and ends up being a hour behind. Wait of time and money. Go see any other lady there and don’t waste your time on Jenny. She rushes and does a terrible job.

This place does a great job with a special request I have for my manicure. She always remembers the color and goes another mile. I love all the people there and recommend it to a fast-paced, consistent nail job.

What a wonderful experience! Kelly gave me an awesome pedicure while Katie did my nails! They both spoke English language to me which is important to me as they knew exactly what I asked for and my nails look fabulous for My New Years Party! Calming music /atmosphere was very relaxing and very clean salon, which is also very important to me! I couldnt decide which lotion-butter to choose because they all smell so lovely! I cant wait to go back to try another butter!

This salon is so close to our home that Ive tried to make it work several times. My issue is not as much with the service itself but with the customer service. Each time I arrive here for an appointment it seems like Ive surprised them. The polish selection is good, the manicure and pedicure is adequate but until they fix their reception I will not be scheduling an appointment here again.

Update (9/16/19): I gave Glossy another chance today, and Im very glad I did. The service was excellent, and has returned to the high standard it always was before (if not better). I highly recommend Kathy, who took great care of my nails—one of the best manicures I have received here, or anywhere! Very happy with the results. They have also instituted a policy that customers with appointments will be seen within 15 minutes, which shows they have taken past grievances into consideration and sought to institute real change to better serve their customers. Glossy will return as a go-to salon along the Peninsula for me.5/9/19: I’ve been coming to Glossy for close to three years. It was great up until this year. It seems a lot of the longtime nail techs have left, and I’ve been booking my appointments with a new one who is good, but is still more careless than the previous techs who left (e.g. cutting my skin, filing my skin raw). The past few times I’ve come, I’ve waited 30 minutes to 1 hour, despite having booked my appointments weeks in advance. I always tipped well (25-30%). Now I’ve seen people come in and served despite not having an appointment, and having mine pushed back. They also really push pedicures and I relented last time, and they proceeded to do a luxury one. This was the same time I waited an hour even though I had an appointment and I still tipped a lot since I tried to overlook it. My total was $160 in the end, for a gel manicure and pedicure plus tip. Then I showed up today and I waited 40 minutes - they kept saying “10 minutes” as well. If I would’ve known, I could’ve gone to get groceries or something. After today, I’m not coming back here. Really disappointed.

I called four hours in advance and made an appointment. When I arrived, at 6:45pm for my appt, they said they were running behind and it would be 20 minutes. I came back at 7:05 and no one got to me for over 30 minutes. No one spoke to me or helped me except to cover my nails in acetone and then walk away. There was no clear person in charge and I tried to catch someone’s eye but couldn’t. They kept working on new people and never me. So I walked out. Never coming back and will actively advise others not to go here.

What a great addition to the Nails Scene. The salon is new in 2015. Warm, cozy and clean with super comfortable chairs and a spa-like feel. The pedicure using the Almond lotion is really nice and Annie gives a great leg massage! Never been in a salon quite like it. Note that, at least as of 7/2015, Google has its location wrong on the maps. The Salon is actually located in the Edgewood Plaza Center.

This place was a nightmare from the moment I stepped in! There was no one at the desk and after a few minutes a women named Jenny shouted form the back. Even though I had appointment they made me wait for 10 minutes. She went to do various things 3 times while doing my manicure! They don’t even use sterilized tools. She just used whatever was there from the previous client.I told her I had to pick my daughter and my appointment was just about the time I had so she said that they don’t check online appointments and they are already too busy with ppl who walk-in! I don’t know why they even have that feature then :/She started my pedi 10 minutes before I was supposed to leave and asked me if she could shut do a rushed version since I didn’t have time. I was like will you charge me full price and she said yes, of course!Seriously a nightmare! Not coming back!

Terrible customer service and technical quality. I walked-in and told them that I had a time constraint for under an hour and they ended up taking almost two hours to complete my manicure. On top of taking a long time to get started, my nail technician would get up constantly (I was the one who ended up taking off my own old nail polish, with their supplies) and at one point asked another technician to continue my nails while she was off talking to a technician who was not on the clock and who was there asking for her pay check which it sounded like they withheld. Meanwhile, the technician who was subbing completely messed up my nails and cut them much shorter than I asked. When I asked her to correct them, she became passive aggressive in her tone and told me to stop looking and comparing my nails until she finished. They also did not have the color that I asked for and displayed a complete lack of customer service in addressing this and many other errors. Long story short, they ended up doing my nails horribly AND had the audacity to charge me their full overpriced charge.

Its a great place I had to take the wife and get her pampered they treated her really nice she was very happy great job keep it up

I am so happy I found this place! I walked in at 6:45 not knowing they closed at 7. They were willing to accommodate me and the gal that did my eyebrows (forgot her name) is AWESOME! My eyebrows are so hard to shape and manage but she was able to give me the shape I wanted!Came back in the next day for a Gel color change on my acrylic nails and a pedi. Katie did an fabulous job on my nails and the gal that did my pedi was great too! I will definitely will be coming back often!The place is VERY clean and although a bit pricey, well worth it and convenient.
