If I could give no stars to the owner Sam of ths establishment, I would..I brought 2 quilts one was a twin size the other a full size & 2 sets of sheets, that was all. He charged me $60. $30 a piece to wash 2 thin quilts? Give me a break. The sheets were all wrinkled & not folded properly. It looked like they were just laxly folded & stuffed in a garbage bag. I had to refold everything. If you want someone who can properly fold sheets.& blankets & you dont want to pay $60 for 2 sets of sheets & blankets dont use them. I could have bought a brand new set of bedding for that money. What a rip off.

They close early for no reason, the male owner has made multiple sexist remarks to me when I go in there with my partner, and is also just rude all around I came in and shut one of the dryers after loading it and he told me to stop slamming the doors shut or I would break them (I literally shut it like a normal dryer) they are over priced, my clothes don’t even seem to wash properly when I take them out and I seem to have a problem anytime I’m stuck coming here for whatever reason. There is a laundry mat not much further up the street and I honestly always have a much better experience there so don’t waste your money here

DON’T GO HERE IF YOU EXPECT CLEAN CLOTHES AND BARE MINIMUM CUSTOMER SERVICE.I called Sam Alladin because there’s a sign in the laundry to do so if there are questions or concerns. My concern was that 2 of my 3 washers were not running water during the rinse cycle so my clothes were not getting rinsed. I simply asked for the $7 refund so I can attempt to re wash my clothes with another machine in the establishment. Sam, the business owner, proceeded to tell me that he cannot listen to my concerns as his customer because he was busy and I should wait 3hrs at the laundry before he can arrive to address my concerns. He is rude and his customer service is piss poor; and to top it off he hasn’t empowered his attendant to make any decisions while he’s away. So while she was a nice enough lady, she could do nothing to help without Sam’s approval and Sam was not interested in listening to anything I had to say.

I stopped here for dry cleaning service and asked if it could be ready by the next day and the lady at the front very kindly told me it would be done by the end of the next day.I came by the next day and my items were not ready, I said no problem I will return the next day.The following day the manger who was there said tough sh^t we do not do next day service your item won’t be ready until Monday. Immediately had an attitude problem said there was nothing he could do and to leave.I then came back to pick up my dry cleaning that Monday and they returned it in a worse condition and with missing items. I said again please get the missing items I will return the next day and so I returned and the same manager said “what do you want me to do I don’t have it” I said this service is unprofessional and unacceptable and he told me verbatim to “get the f#%k out”. I am a young women and am completely shocked by this managers behavior, professionalism and disrespectful profanity he used.

Were new to the area and will definitely will never go here again.Agree fully with another review on here.Sams employee closes EARLY for no reason. Website states closes at 9 p.m. but she said its 8:30, I arrived at 6:58 with small load of hand towels and she RUDELY turned me AWAY. Nasty attitude, and rudeness EVERYTIME.The week before she did the EXACT SAME THING.The laundromat up the road was the best suggestion ever.

I had to use a laundry as my dryer died today. Arrived at the laundromat and a lady was inside with no mask on. There was a sign on the counter that said “Put Mask On”. I asked the lady inside if she worked here and she said yes. I asked why she was not wearing a mask, she replied “I just took it off” them proceeded to put it on OVER HER CHIN ONLY. Not covering her mouth or nose. As I typed this, 2 more customers arrived without masks. If you value your life, skip Dixie’s!

This place is a bunch of shysters, over charge you after they give you a price and literally apologized knowing they were wrong after I called them out. 2 minutes up the road on Edgewater is another place that is better

I’ve been doing my laundry here for 7 years. Ever since COVID, Sam (who is great!!!) has this rude, attitude ridden woman working now. She closes early without warning and won’t even post a sign stating that fact. Sorry Sam, you have lost a long time customer due to this employee.

Great little hidden gem of a Laundry Mat.

Man working upfront asked me to leave an hour before close because of an appointment that he didnt inform me about when I arrived an hour and a half previously. When I went to go pick up my clothes from the dryer, they were still wet after being in there for 45mins. Of course I informed the man that the dryer was probably busted and he should put up a sign and he just shrugged at me and said come back tomorrow. No refund, will never come back.

Sam the owner is a friendly guy and Melissa the manager is wonderful. She is helpful and welcoming too. The place is always clean, machines are always working and they do laundry by the pound also.

This has become my favorite laundromat. I will be upfront by saying it is small, a bit tight, bathroom is most of the month out of service for a reason I do not know and it gets pretty hot because there is not a/c. There are no big bertha or triple load washers. You cannot wash comforters in any of the washers, it is not allowed. However, it is welcoming. Has great dryers and washers for very reasonable prices. The owner always has music going and is friendly. So far, Ive never seen rodents or insects. Parking is right in front and on the side of the building. This place is pretty clean, compared to other bigger locations. My fiance and I have made this our go to spot. Give it a try, you will bot be disapointed.

The owner appeared to be very nice, but when I picked up my clothes (the next day after dropping them off) he told me my total charge was $35. He said he had to rush to get my clothes washed. I did not ask him to rush when I dropped off the clothes, so I’m not sure why he did a rush order. Moreover, my clothes have a bad odor after being washed. Very unsatisfied with the service and quality of work here. I would not recommend this place.

I worked there for 10 days for a total of 47 hours and all Sam wanted to pay me was $200.00. Every customer has different rate on what they pay to get their laundry done. He has the attendents shove all the laundry in the smallest washer, so the clothes never come out clean. I had one customer pay $35.00 each for a comforter. The next customer came for the same thing and only charged $35.00 for both. The washers have black mold in them. One of the dryers has something gross and smells horrible and he refuses to put it out of order or to clean it up. Sam is taking advantage of his employees and his customers.

Sam, the man who owns this place is a Crook! He treats his employees like dirt and is very rude to them and his customers. He literally pushed me out of his way one day when he could have asked me to move when I was in his path. I asked him to apologize and he said For What?He charged me 15$ to have my pants hemmed. It was a hack job! Looked like a 6 year old with no sewing skills did the job. Turns out, it was his wife. One of his employees told me this! When I told him I wanted to bring them back and have them professionally done he refused. Clearly, he didnt want his wife to know that someone thought her work was sub par. When I told him that I also found out that hes sending the dry cleaning orders only one block away and then up-charging what they charge and that I wouldnt be using his services any more he told me to leave and to never come back. What a Jerk!

Their pay by the pound service is fast! Incredibly friendly staff, and affordable! This is the ONLY place I take my laundry.

Wont be repeating; apparently they leave the change machines broken so then I have to hear it from 7/11 about how people are always hitting them for change....the big dryers being for employees only isnt right, what if a customer is in a hurry? I feel the washer/dryer prices are also too high....and toilet paper is too much to ask for in the bathroom? Shouldnt be at your prices...

Its alright. Right now they have a summer special so this is the place I was for now.Dropped off some clothes to dry clean but the person working there couldnt give me a price because she says the owner is the one that prices everything.That makes ZERO sense to not know how much my dry cleaning will cost. Anyways... I left them there to see if its worth it.Ill let you know if it was.

Before I could even unload my clothes from the car this [obviously] racist maniac calls the woman working behind the counter to have her ask me questions...when I asked to speak with him & she handed me the phone I could hear him screaming at her...smhI had NEVER before been there & will not ever return (as I told him). I felt so terrible for that woman & anyone else who works there.I wanna give this place ZERO stars!
