Blake and Johnathan were both incredible setting me up with a vehicle. I flew in from overseas and called before hand to ensure I could have a vehice when I arrived and they answered all my questions with kindness. Normally organizing a vehicle when travelling is stressful, but I didnt feel that at all here.When I arrived they were so cool and suggested me things to do while I stayed.On my next long term stay, no matter where my accomodation is in Florida I will fly into Orlando and rent here just because of them.Thanks for the great help and service!
All car rental companies were out of cars in Orlando when I went there except for Hertz. Since this location was in a hidden spot (Marriott hotel away from the airport) they had cars available. Weird. There was a tiny counter with two employees handling the booth in the main lobby of the hotel. But they were friendly and had cars when no one had. Car was in excellent like new condition. Overall a pleasant experience. ☺
I booked my reservation thru AAA the rate I was promised and the rate given was way off.I arrived at 12am and had to walk from B side terminal to A side and then they only had the garage counter open so had to walk to garage.First car smelled like smoke.. Second they could not find the key too. The third over heated. I called roadside assistance and never got thru. They offered a call back never got it.Limped back to a different Hertz location and was given a way smaller car but they said they could not adjust the price. Id have to file a claim to get the difference.My advice stay away from Hertz..F-
I paid 500$ deposit for 89$ car. The manager agreed to give me a Jeep but when he brought me the car it was a Ford fiesta. The gas tank was two thirds empty and not to mention the price difference from the jeep that he didnt mention whatsoever! I refunded my money immediately. Inefficient, sloppy, and unfair work.Go with Turo if you really need a rental car.
Made reservations for 2/12/21. After flying in we paid $30 to get here to pick up our reserved car. We walk to the desk to find the sign in the picture. We had already paid and we never received a phone call. Called corporate and they told us to go back to the airport and go to the Hertz there to pick up a car. We were mad since we had just paid to get here. I asked would they have a car and he said they would. Got to the airport and at first they said they were sold out and could not give us a car causing only more frustration. The manager got involved and eventually gave us a car, but this was the worst experience ever. Never again will we use Hertz.
Made a reservation a week before my trip. This location temporarily closed the day I was supposed to pick up my car. No one called to let me know, and when I called Hertz they told me they couldnt get me a car. They left me stranded. No other rentals were available. I had to cancel vacation plans because I have no way to get there. I am disgusted with their poor service.
Closed two hrs early without notice, 9 people standing around with pre paid reservations,after 30 minutes on hold customer service was snarky and unhelpful. Employee walked up stated something obtuse to one of the patrons after being questioned about early closure and being left stranded and she literally rolled her eyes and cackled as she walked away..
Covid Alert/Warning: This location does not follow the Hertz Covid-19 policy. Cars do not have the gold standard of cleaning that is recommended by the CDC. Pick up is not contact less - instead they must drive it from a lot. Which can expose you to covid... I would suggest you choose another location.
I arrived 1 hour before my reservation and they say no cars available. One guy working just sitting at desk looking at me and waiting till 12 noon to give me my car instead of at 11 when I got here. I call hertz corporate and got zero help from them do no I reset do not rent from hertz

The worst service. Car reservation was for a 7 pm pick up. Arrived at 7:20 pm. Car rental was already closed. Called Hertz, said this location was at the airport and open 24 hours. Location was a hotel near the airport and apparently open only limited hours. Asked at hotel when they open, was told 8 am. Walked over at 8:15, was told they opened at 9 am. Walked over at 9 am, no one there. Called number listed for this location 25 times, no answer. Someone did show up at 9:45 amWe waited almost 15 hours for a vehicle. But, I have to pay for the time that we didnt have the vehicle. Never again from Hertz. Awful. No answer from anyone.

Hertz @Tampa Airport did not fulfill our confirmed GOLD member reservation. We was shafted with an lesser quality vehicle that was also dirty. Radio and Sirius xm was not performing properly

Never going to this location or chosainf hertz again. Poo customer service, delayed our car by over 2 hours and even tried to charge us for cancelling even though they didn’t have our car on time and try to tack on hidden and unnecessary fees.I’m here for a vacation 2nd time and love Florida but this is the third and probably not the last company that has really bad customer service and giving people a hard time. This might be my last trip to Orlando unless something changes.
We reserved a car on Priceline and upon checking in the girl didnt even offer for us to use us our own insurance and basically told us we had to get ins through them which costs $300, plus the 200 deposit. Luckily our bank denied the charge because they thought it was fraud, so we took a minute and called the bank and called our insurance company and they said we could use our own policy and didnt have to buy their coverage. We went back to the counter and they said they cant lower the charges to just the deposit and gas unless we had a different card to run -which we dont. Now we cant get our car that we reserved and have to go elsewhere. But I am a bit happy because if thats how they do their business, I would be happy to go anywhere else!
Do not use Hertz. This company is not customer centric at all. Our experience is horrible.We spent 4 hours waiting before getting our cars and the car they gave us did not have a full tank of gas, their were key marks up and down the side of the vehicle which was not disclosed to me. The right front tire looked like it was ready to pop because of lack of tread on tires.My girlfriend confirmed our reservations on Friday via a State Farm insurance reservation/confirmation #. They asked us to give them 30 minutes heads up before they came to pick us up- which we did. After sitting in the waiting room at the body shop for over an hour they stated that they were waiting for a driver. Another couple that was waiting with us claimed that they were waiting on a driver from Hertz too. We arrived at the Hertz location and they realized that they did not have the correct cars for us so they stated we have taken care of the mistake and that they would take us to the correct location and that the Hertz rep was waiting for us and was aware of the situation. We arrived at the new location and the Hertz rep was not aware that we were coming and he had no idea who we were. He was the only Hertz rep on site. We were his only customers on site. His phone rang and he answered it- answering basic questions to a customer on rates, pick up times, etc. We let him know that we had already invested close to 3 hours trying to pick up our car and that we needed to get to work. The phone rang again- he answered it. Almost like we were not there. Again- he took the call. Answered questions on Hertz, locations, basic questions. I them let him know that we were in a bit of a hurry and that they previous Hertz location was forwarding on information to him so that he could be better prepared. He stated that it is Hertz policy to answer the phone and not take care of the customer in front of him. I began to wonder if we were on a hidden camera show because this was almost too good to be true. It was like he was doing everything in his power to do the exact opposite on what basic customer service skills would call for.After getting in car and driving off, the new hertz rep who assisted us (and she did actually a good job) asked me to call her if I noticed any damage once I had a chance to inspect car.I called then number on the Hertz paperwork that she gave me and the number was forwarded to another location. The Hertz rep I spoke to had no idea how he got me on the phone and suggested that maybe that location had forwarded there calls. So I was unable to report the damage to the original Hertz rep and the Phone Hertz rep suggested that he not take the notes and work with the Hertz rep at the original location.Save yourself the headache and go with a car rental place that cares about their customers. Their employees reflect the attitude of senior management. This is all leadership.When we called St Farm to let them know about our experience that said that was there 2nd complaint today alone on Hertz.
We rented a compact from Hertz in Orlando Fl. on a multi month contract. Not only was it the best deal we could find but Hertz went above and beyond ordinary customer care. Because we were renting for a minimum of 3 months, Hertz e-mailed us for info regarding mileage etc after the first month. We took the car to the nearest Hertz agency and was immediately offered another car to use while the original rental was being serviced. This was only one of many credits to Hertz. I would not hesitate renting from them again. By the way, hats off to the branch manager at the Lakeside Marriott in Orlando, thanks for everything. D & B
What a horrible car rental location! We arrived at the Marriott around 5:15. There wasn’t anyone at the deck so we had to wait for them to return. Once they returned, there were 4 people. The head guy acted like he was going us a favor by upgrading our car a few levels. He failed to mention that the car wasn’t ready and it would take 30 minutes to clean it. When she finally finished “cleaning “ it, we checked it over and there were huge scraps around one of the wheel wells. She took a picture as well as we did. We got in the car and couldn’t figure out what took 30 minutes, all she did was run it through a car wash. They are a joke.
My car rental pick up time was made for the time when the desk closed. After parking and finding the desk I arrived 5-10 minutes after the pick up time and there was nobody in sight. The desk was closed. I received no courtesy call and was forced to cancel my trip. I spoke to 2 reps who offered no solution and emailed the manager with no response or apology. I always use Hertz through AAA and never take the time to write bad reviews ever for any company but I couldnt let this poor customer service go without me voicing it. For such a large and reputable company, someone should have assisted, offered an alternative solution, or at least responded to my inquiries. Im very disappointed and hope nobody else is scheduled for a pickup time at closing without being aware. I just wish I had known or at least received a courtesy call before they closed as I was just outside parking.
Upgraded to huge vehicle, which rode nicely but guzzled gas and was hard to fit in places. People were friendly and helpful.
SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!Be aware guys. They gonna SCAM you.Hertz sent me a claim that when the vehicle was returned, the fuel tank was noted as full. However, when the vehicle was serviced for the next rental, 9.5 gallons of gas were needed to refuel the vehicle. and charging me $100.Return check doesnt mean anything? They will charge you that car body need to be fixed even though return check noted as no damage.So stupid SCAM company.Called customer service phone number but machine operator doesnt give me the option to talk to human operator. Now I & you know how Hertz treat customer.
I was picked up at the body shop where my car is being repaired. The driver was very friendly. The manager on site very attentive and professional.

The hertz team at the Marriott Orlando airport property was very efficient and professional. The hotel shuttle service to and from the airport was convenient as well.

Pros: Nice location next to the airport but with significantly lower rates (as if you in a regular location). A free Marriott shuttle from/to airport (runs every 30 minutes or so, takes 20 minutes from/to an airport).Cons: only one person at the desk (sometimes even no person at all) which makes the service very slow.
As a Hertz gold rewards member I am very disappointed in the service I received here. When picking up the car, the front desk gave us no information on if tolls were included in the package or even offered it to us. He did not go over returning the car and if we were paying for gas or if they were going to charge us later. The car they gave us looked like it was just returned and was dirty on the outside and the inside. On our way to return the car and after paying for all the tolls, we went through a pay by license toll. We explained the situation to the front desk and were told we would be charged for all 4 days we rented the car even though we had paid all but $0.79. Im disappointed and frustrated in the lack of customer service.

Terrible experience, was quoted $80 for a Kia rio. Then after insurance and gas we were told we would be charged $150 for 2 days. We were not given a Kia, an elantra instead without being told. And then our card was charged $350. When I called they said it was a hold that would be returned when the car was returned but they did not mentioned this once to us. And when I asked why we werent warned of the fee she insisted she did tell us, she did not. Would not go back and will be returning the car immediately. $80 dollar rental turned to $350

Customer advocates are ex car dealers at this MCO Airport Location? My rep, Romeo was the epitome of a bad car salesman. Pushed all the extras telling me my Credit Card would absolutely not cover me... Well, yes it does, I confirmed this Romeo.. No, they lied to you... lol. Ok Romeo.Asked me if a compact car was OK? Huh? But I reserved and paid for a full size car? So why ask if a compact is ok for the same price? Obviously another tactic to increase their profit.Careful with the add ons, most VISA credit card with cover you 100%. Including NO deductible. Call your CC Company to confirm. Dont listen to these guys. Literally wanted 80% of the cost of the rental for insurance that comes free with many credit cards.
They try hard but Ive gotten smokey vehicles. Though they will always exchange your car.
