Car rental company I am happy to say I will use again! Not that I am a world traveler, but I have my share of really bad car rental company stories unfortunately. I booked with Advantage through the carrentals.com app and honestly had never heard of them but their rates were 1/2 of the other companies I had used in the past. Their site was a off airport in Orlando which also brought concern, but in the end all went smooth from pick up by shuttle Wally Parking and not far distance so we were there quick (few miles). I had a ton of communication via email and text on shuttle and pick up instructions. The shuttle was there promptly and driver was courteous. Once inside, I walked right up the the counter (no 2 hour line like I have experienced at times) and I had paperwork done and keys to my car in under 15 minutes. The car was as promised with my selected model, car was clean and smoke free. The return process was even easier. I was honestly waiting for some hidden fees or some kind of snafu in the end but everything went as it should and I paid the booked price and had a great rental car experience. I think my faith has been restored in this business, and I will use this company any other chance I can for future travels. A+++

By far the worst experience with a rental, first car given was dirty inside and outside. 2nd car lightly dirty on the outside and the inside dusty and candy wrappers all over. Even with covid going on they dont bother to clean the cars. Still waiting for the deposit to be returned Im going to give them 5 days.

Mari was amazing! The booking site totally messed up my car rental through Dollar Car Rental. No one had a car for me to rent in the price range... Not Hertz, budget, enterprise or even thrifty that I have been quoted. Mari at Advantage Car Rental whats amazing! She got me a beautiful 2020 Nissan Murano at the price that I had been quoted. Thank you so much Mary my trip was able to start because of you! I highly recommend Advantage Car Rental. It is a new company and they deserve a high five!

Horrible customer service. Hidden fee’s to start followed by an unsafe vehicle. I was told to return the vehicle to the pickup location even though I was well over a 100 miles away. They never offered a solution to resolve the issue. Every city in Florida has a rental car location, but asisting me with the nearest location was not a option. Will never us them again or recommend them to anyone. To many competitors to have to deal with this.

Id like to say thank you to all Andvantage staff... customer service is 10 out of 10... they upgraded my rental once they saw my daughters, they told me the car I picked wouldnt be as comfortable enough to accommodate 3 of us, best thing, I didnt ask for a bigger car, they offered... price was the reason too.. fair price, excellent customer service and support, all together? Yes, Advantage has it all... I dont know my next hotel in Florida, but I already know my car rental place... I strongly recommend it! Keep up with the great work... definitely 10 stars!

I will never rent a car from them again. They should rename the company take advantage of you rent a car. I got a quote on line for $141.00. And it cost me $357.00. How does that work. I told them I didnt want the insurance they charged me anyway. They tell you about a fuel program that you can bring it back empty. What they dont tell you is if you bring it back with a half a tank you dont get reimbursed. And you dont know any of this until they email you the bill. So when you get the bill its a big surprise. And there is not even a corporate phone number you can call to speak to someone about it. Never again. I hope this helps someone in the future. DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THEM.

The staff at advantage were very kind and helpful with our car rental. It was an easy process without any hassle. They respected our full coverage car insurance and offered us the easy pass option. The pass made our drive through Florida quick and simple. When we ran an issue with time and our return flight, Advantage went above and beyond to help us. Advantage car rental at the Orlando Airport was a life saver. After dealing with a nightmare of a company (right car rental). The staff was so professional, knowledgeable, efficient, and extremely nice. They take their time to help you, and to get you in a car and on your way. The customer service I received was above and beyond. I wish I could remember the lady who helped me. I hope the company finds her and lets her know how much I appreciated her help. I would recommend this company to everyone.

Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to look at reviews prior to booking because I booked through Expedia. My quote was $231 and after leaving we spent $384 for the rental + $76 for an add on driver fee because I needed to used my credit card for the deposit since they don’t accept cash and the rental was in my husbands name, they wouldn’t allow me to pay for the deposit without adding myself on as a driver although they refused to take cash as well. They truly do take advantage of you. I’m sure every 5 star review is the owners creating accounts or paying for them.

My rental experience wasn’t bad at all. Easy process picking up and dropping off. I’m rating one star because they been holding my deposit for a little over a month now and their phone number isn’t working so I have no way of getting in touch with them. I usually wouldn’t stress over a deposit but it was $250 and that could for useful

DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. I went through Expedia to book for Advantage Car Rental in Orlando, FL - First of all, it was more than double the original price posted. I got unlimited miles but that didnt prove to be true. They have multiple hidden fees. The phone numbers provided are disconnected and the one that did go through rang and rang for 20 mins before I hung up. Advantage did not provide a receipt of why I didnt get my security deposit back. I paid extra for the Tolls each day, returned the car with a full tank from the $5/ga gas station across the street, and there was no damage. I REPEAT - RENT SOMEWHERE ELSE. You will not get your security back in full and will never be able to get in contact with anyone. There should be a 0 Stars option. They Share a Lot with WALLYPARK WHOS NUMBER IS ALSO NOT ACTIVE. SCAMMING PEOPLE.

So I walk in today to Reserve a rental. Their was 2 employees but young employee kept pointing at the old man employee. When I got to the old man, he kept cutting me off and telling me I cant rent a car there and that I should go next door. When I finally got a chance to tell him I can find my ouc bill to give him; he said that they do not take walk in reservation. What a complete waste of time. Unprofessional and disrespectful. If they do not like their job then they shouldnt work there. 😡

If you have all day to wait on your rental, this is the place. There seems to be plenty of people working, but no one getting anything done. There were people sitting all over the place in there waiting area and outside. I recommend spending a few extra dollars and getting better customer service to get your vehicle and enjoy your time off. Dont waste a whole day trying to get a vehicle you book ahead of time.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM!!! BEWARE!!!!We were charged many hidden fees and double what we were told that the price of our reservation was. They wont give you a contract to see while youre in front of them, but tell you that they will send it once you pay & leave. I reached out to speak to a manager & was told that there was no-one that I could speak with & that I shouldve read the contract but she literally would not give me a contract to see and kept saying that we would have to wait for it to be emailed. Save yourself the headache! I will be reporting them to the BBB because this is unacceptable.

Scam, Bullies, you do not have to accept their insurance, any of it. Ask them for the waiver. Price will be double what was quoted online!! BEWARE.Supervisor was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I insisted that I didn’t have to pay the insurance and to give me a waiver, she only gave in because I got load and announced to the other customers they can ask for a waiver. Then we had a snag because my sister made the reservation but I was paying, and she refused to switch the reservation to my name and canceled it. Told me that was her policy and I would have to make another reservation.

Airport shuttle was excellent, even though we had a rude passenger, the driver handle himself well. The line at the rental place was long, but the staff was able to keep the process going. I was able to get a nice vehicle, at a good price and enjoyed my vacation!!!

Be aware of all the hidden fees, I did a reservation online and my printout was quoted at 257$ once they charged my card I was charge 649$ I was charged 69$ because my husband added my name to the rental because he didnt have his card, even tho I never plan to drive, I wasnt told there was a fee, they made us get a supplement liability policy that was 89$ even tho we have full coverage with state farm, I also was told its mandatory to bring the car back on empty, so they have a gas sub charged for 69$ the invoice clearly says thats optional! And of course you cant speak to anyone at customer service. Felt totally ripped off.

DO NOT RENT from, or at the very least expect to pay TWICE + your promised price online. Ridiculous hidden fees and scammy techniques. Tries to charge for an extra whole day over an hour and an upgrade fee because they didnt have the smaller car I reserved. Had to call their corporate line multiple times to get a decent refund and my deposit back. Fitting name cuz they do take Advantage of their customers.

I came to rent a car here, took me 45 minutes to get the car. They overcharged me. Cashier had horrible attitude the whole time. When I went to pick up the car, they gave me a dirty car (see images) and the tires had low tire pressure as you can also see on the images. I had to go clean the entire myself and put air in all tires. I’m extremely disappointed with this company. I will never rent again. Stick with quality rental companies instead.

Advantage Rent A Car in Orlando is a great place to rent from. Their rates are good and the staff is super-friendly. The location was initially tough to find but they can easily be found by going to Wally Park near the Orlando International Airport (MCO). They are inside the Wally Park.

The pros: price, very fast process - no waiting around for a shuttle or a car, especially with the current rental car shortage. The cons: service - we felt like the desk lady was trying to con us, she was not helpful and her attitude suggested we were annoying her. Let’s just say we took pictures of the whole car because we were paranoid after that experience with her that we would be charged for damage we didn’t cause. The car was not really up to the cleanliness we are used to. Overall it’s hard to say if we would choose this place again. Very convenient and timely, yet poor service and spotty cleaning.

We all read these negative reviews, but we still rent from them. Well, I guess thats on us. I, for one, learned my lesson and will never rent from this specific Advantage again.When my wife and I arrived, nobody even greeted us. We felt like we were doing them a disservice by showing up. The agent that took care of us was so rude, unclear, and disrespectful. Her communication was terrible, and she never once looked at us. Amongst other things, the agent tried to tell us there were no more economy cars, which is what I had reserved. Ive heard this before from rental car companies, so I told her I needed the economy car because wed be doing a lot of traveling. Shockingly, she produced an economy car for us. She then asked which insurance I wanted, the basic or some other kind of higher-end insurance. The way she said it, I figured I had to choose, so I chose basic. She also told me many of the tolls did not take cash and that I could purchase a toll pass from them for a set daily fee. She gave me no other information. I rolled the dice and did not get it. Turns out, every single toll booth we went through took cash. Lastly, after marking the scratches and dents on the paper she gave me, I tried to give it back to her. She pushed it away and told me to sign it.When I went to pay, I made sure the amount I was charged matched up with my quote. Fortunately, I caught the extra $100 she charged me for the basic insurance I thought I had to get. She then simply asked the name of my insurance company and immediately adjusted the charge.The bottom line is she could not have been less helpful, more deceiving, or unkind. I just dont understand how people like this get hired by a company that deals with customer service all day long.

Paid 119 online. When i went to this rental area front desk charged me more then what i paid. 237 was charged paid more. If i had known they would charge me and said its a must to those they said is needed, id rent onsite airport would have been cheaper.. front desk wanted to charge me more..👎 told them i do not need any of the offers but they told me i have too..i argued with the front desk refusing my options but they kept saying its a must. Had to call my credit card company so they can speak to the front desk worker and make them understand my benefits i kept repeating..my advice is to rent from the airport onsite and avoid this rental place.. they are not helpful at all and want too charge customers more which they did for all them BS not needed and refused but they said its a must. To late to turn back because i booked it already very bad rating..i recommend the company help their employee be customer helpful and friendly 👎

First, their text prompt for the shuttle from the airport didnt work, so I had to call their 800 number to get someone to send a shuttle after they argued with me on the phone. Then waited nearly an hour and a half to go through the line (there was only 3 people in front of me) Then found out that my reservation was about $300 more than what I booked through Priceline due to an INSANE AMOUNT of additional fees. Got a surprise $250 deposit tacked on top of that, which we were able to talk down to $150 after complaining about it. I later realized that they charged us yet another additional $40, because they didnt charge us the correct amount the first time. The one positive was that I got a free upgrade because the guy in charge of putting a license plate on our car didnt have the right tools to do so. So instead of making us wait even longer, they just upgraded our car. It took me 9 days after I returned the car to get my deposit back because these geniuses decided to charge me for my deposit AFTER I returned the car, even though I made sure to return it in perfect condition. Literally the worst car rental experience Ive ever had. DO NOT use this company. Other places in the area may cost more, but youre saving yourself a headache in the long run. The level of incompetence at this place is astonishing and the amount of hidden fees makes every other car rental place look like theyre giving you the car for free. Youre not saving money with this company. Theyre just making you think you will. The only advantage here is them taking advantage of you.

Don’t use these people they will rip you off and you will pay double and have to ride bus off of airport property and be ready to wait your deposit will cover all the hidden fees that you declined when you pick up your vehicle. What went wrong with Advantage Rent A Car’s employee training program? Do your employees understand that they get paid to serve the customer, not the other way around (In particular, that tall guy behind the counter)?(1) Why did no one pick up the phone or respond to online messages?(2) Why did you ask customers to locate a car by themselves in your big parking lot and later found that the car did not exist?(3) Why did you automatically downgrade the car without an apology or compensation when the booked one ran out? And pretended nothing wrong?(4) Why did you threaten customers to leave and find another rental company, when they questioned about the downgrade?

We received fast service but the car was dirty inside and out. The tires were bald which is not good in a rain storm (happens often in Florida) on the highway. There was a msg stating low wiper fluid and the little that was in there I think was water. Nothing was automatic on the car. For what we paid we should have just went to a better car rental company. I would not recommend this company.

Prices differ than what your told via booking on their website. Be prepared to overpay when you get there with hidden taxes and fees. It’s also NOT at MCO, you have to take a shuttle to this offsite location. MCO airport has about 10 others onsite, go with them instead.

Renting car was smooth, returning car and taking shuttle was even smoother, it was like walk out of car and step into shuttle van, leave the car keys and paper in car and go. People at desk are fast working and courtious, overall it is 5 out of 5 from me. I think courtious is spelled wrong.spellcheck was not correcting it.

After reading the reviews on here, I was nervous; however, we had a good experience. Upon arrival they were a little busy, but everyone was friendly and it went quick. I received an email twice with instructions on how to get picked up and where to find the car. The cost was exactly what I booked on Expedia. They did offer us an upgrade for a fee and we accepted that. They did offer us the pass for the tolls and we took that too (so glad we did!). We were able to drop the car back off over night and get shuttled back to the airport before the office opened. They emailed me a receipt and it was accurate. If we had to give any negative feedback it would be to clean the vehicle better. You could tell it was rushed and it smelled like weed. But it ran good and it was a one year old SUV. Overall, We had a good experience with Advantage rental over our spring break in Orlando.

They tried giving us a car that was falling to pieces from the inside. I wouldn’t had noticed if my little sister didn’t start pretending to drive the vehicle and things were popping off. That should’ve been a sign of the type of tricky people we were dealing with. When signing the paperwork, I kept asking “is this including the deposit?” I didn’t understand why the rate was suddenly twice what we agreed on over the phone, instead of explaining the rep lied to me and said yes, he wanted me to get done with the payment. Now that I’m trying to just talk to someone about the situation, I’m promised a call back and ignored. Lesson learned but overall, I feel disappointed. I will tell my friends who love visiting Disney to watch out for this business.

I just rented from this place last week (Tuesday-Sunday) from the start we go in and I had rented the $28 a day for a standard car however they chose to pick it figure we would get lucky. There were 4 of us traveling for a cheer competition. We get to the desk and number 1 when he looked up my license for some reason they had my number as “Jennifer” not sure how when my name was clearly on my confirmation. Whatever he fixed that, the guy was nice until he told me the car he would give me is a 2 door I said that’s not going to work there are 4 of us. Asked him for economy car which is a 4 door I proceeded to go outside and it was a small beat up corrola sorry not an option as there were 4 of us which was too small and we know driving in Florida could be dangerous. I go back in and say that’s not good enough and he said well if I give you an SUV it’s an extra $20 a day fine was good with that. He gave me the keys and says not sure where this is parked so you have to go find it look it over and bring me the contract back. Fun now we are on a hunt for an SUV found it looked it over brand new and good to go but no one went over how to use the car but whatever.Now we have to get to the airport to go back home it’s 5:30am I pull up to return the car and you would think that they would take the car and do what they need to do, nope he tells me to back it up in a spot well it was on an angle and I wasn’t parking it right so I said can you please park this to which he did. We asked where do we get the shuttle the agent says stand on space 19. Shuttle comes we get in and ready to go well a lady realizes she left her phone in her rental car to which the guy turned around to go back for the lady however the lady dug deep enough in her purse and realized she had it the whole time so round robin we go headed to the airport.2 passengers get dropped off to go to Southwest Airlines. As we leave them and head to our flight gate my friend gets a call and the lady says she has her bag. So now we have to go back to Southwest to get my friends bag to then get dropped back off to United. Nope, the driver says I have people waiting and need to pick up which was no fault of our own as the lady took the wrong bag mind you he went back for the lady who allegedly lost her phone. He said it would be an extra 10 minutes walk to get to our gate and he could tell he was not happy so no tip for him.Will never rent from this place again, the rudeness of some of the employees, lack of information they provide nope don’t rent from them.

Extremely rude staff. Poor customer service. It took us an hour and a half to get our car. Also didn’t know that this rental isn’t actually at the airport, took for ever to find out where to wait for the shuttle to the rental place.We were given a car that literally shook and pulled to the right when you went over 50mph. We were staying in Cocoa and drove back the next day to change the car out and were once again shocked by the poor customer service. They tried to say that all they had available was a pickup truck for our group of five, eventually agreed to put us in another small SUV. It was close to an hour or so of arguing with the staff and management once again. They knocked off one day of our rental charge after all of this back and forth. So many hours of our vacation wasted here. Everyone else coming out seemed to have had the same bad experience.I’m not typically one to complain but people need to be warned, definitely book your rental somewhere else.

I rented a car online for 282 dollars. I waived their full insurance, since I have my own, and they charge me 30+ dollars a day for insurance waive fee. At the end of the transaction, the 282 online, ended up costing me almost 600.When I rented online, it was for a Camry or similar, and the guy wanted to stick me in a Kia Soul. I ended up in a Nissan frontier, which is a gass guzzler. I took their gas option at 2.50 a gallon, and returned it empty. The nearest gass station is 5 dollars a gallon!You have the option to pay for tolls ahead, or pays as you go with a processing fee. It is 9.99 a day with them plus the processing fee.

Great place, very convenient. They were one of the only places that allowed us to rent using a debit card they were definitely the cheapest place which is why we chose them. Fast and efficient as well. Would highly recommend and will definitely be using them again in the future.

Nightmare experience. Terrible customer service. Long wait for a shuttle arriving. The car I got was out of gas and smelled like cigarettes. It ended up breaking down. No one answers the phone at the office. The people who brought me a new car were nice and helpful, however. The email said to return the car to the airport, but that wasn’t true, you had to drive to their offsite location. The signs are confusing, I ended up having to drive around wondering where I needed to be.

Worst rental car places Ive dealt with Inna while. The check in process was so chaotic, they had to resort to a paper sign in sheet to handle the traffic in line. The car we had smelled like smoke and had the TPMS sensor illuminated. We took the car anyway because we did not want to stay in the area another 45 min+. The gate to exit was inoperable and had us waste another 10 min trying to leave. Finally upon return there were no directions or signs to return. we had to get out of car go inside to ask how to return car. And the shuttle to the airport was very slow. Important because this place is off-site. I wont be using them again for sure

Rates are very high and service is non existent. Been waiting for 1 hr. For a reserved car. Still no sight of a car. Phone instruction on finding bus pick up at the airport were recorded at such a rapid pace we had to listen 4 times to get phone number, what and where to text. Won’t be back here again ever!

Booked an Advantage car rental through Priceline and it was horrible!Advantage rental has all these hidden fees so much that our bill was double what we had scheduled to pay on Priceline. And Priceline did bad because they DID NOT mention any other fees! We will not use them again for our car Rental, neither Priceline! There are several other car rentals we can use. So if youre reading this,beware!

Double and triple check your vehicle before you accept it. Then take pics to document. All of cars I looked at had wheel damage and body problems. One had a dead key fob which can leave you stranded. After I declined it, they tried to give it to someone else. Yikes. The prices are ridiculously high. Their information on their emails and website are outdated and will send you to the wrong location. Last resort only.

This location has some very shady people working their desks. They will tell you you need insurance when you do not and tell you to use services as if they are included. You will realize later that they are not part of the agreement and are extras at the highest rates. Be very careful with this company.

Booked a car ahead of time online for $360.11. When I got to pick up my reserved car i am charged $541.08 and receive a car with poorly cleaned interior and 3/4 of a tank of gas. Did the car even get cleaned and sanitized? I mean there is a virus that’s been causing a global pandemic for over a year now. When calling the customer service center I was greeted by a really polite man but kept telling me he could not fix it or issue a refund at this time. I pray this gets settled by the time i return their. Advantage car rentals they must get their name from taking ADVANTAGE OF THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!!!

They gave away the car that we had originally booked, and consequently we were charged an extra $200 for a larger car that we did not need. This was after their airport shuttle was delayed 30 minutes. Furthermore, the customer service was rude and inattentive. Would not recommend renting here. Plenty of other options available within a mile.

I had a very good experience with Advantage Rent A Car. The rental was a 2021 model, the price was reasonable amongst the rest for a week rental and the return process was super easy. I enjoyed the convenient shuttle service to and from the airport MCO. Although the wait to pick up my rental was long, it was well worth it.

Attendant was bothered when I pointed out the damage, verbally huffed when I brought him to the car. The lighter doesnt work so I cant charge my phone while driving with GPS in unfamiliar areas 2hrs away. Had to stop halfway to my destination to charge my phone. Need to change their name to Rent a Wreck. The counter lady at airport was fine.

No clear instructions on where to go to be picked up or how to arrange that. The phone number I was given to call doesnt even work. The number that worked reads the instructions very quickly, and then hangs up. Waited an hour hour to get a dirty car. The car was keyed-up and the front fender was broken and falling apart. Low tire pressure. Couldnt see out the windshield it was so dirty -- no washer fluid, of course. About half of the staff not wearing masks or even attempting to social distance. Very unfortunate.

Do not rent with this company. They put a hold on your account for a deposit and show on the contract that it is not part of the total. Then when you go to return the car they tell you it is not part of the money you paid originally. They basically charge you twice for the security deposit and do not give it back to you even when there car is returned damage-free. They try to get out of the contractural agreement and make you call the 1-800 number to resolve. I have rented a car 2-3 times a month for 7 years during travel for work and have NEVER had this problem with a company. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO WITH ANOTHER CAR COMPANY

Ive never dealt with a company so unprofessional. I was up charged 200 dollars from the orginal cost of my reservation. Was glad my deposit was given back, but then was charges monies for undisclosed reason after calling the customer service rep. My experience with the shuttle and the guys who provided the service was great. The car was great, but to worry how much more your being charged for is not so great.

Instructions were NOT clear when texted on how to find the shuttle. At the airport the shuttle only picks up on the A side. Our rental car was filthy. They only wash the really dirty cars. The windshield was so dirty on the inside. The vehicle had been smoked in and stunk. There were ashes all over on the inside. The low fuel light was on. They told us we should be fine to make it to the nearest gas station.

The car rental process was quick and easy. Drop off was a breeze. Car fit our family great for what we needed. No issues. I didnt understand Floridas tolling system or want to worry about it so I paid for the Sunpass they offered but it would be less expensive to just pay tolls, assuming you dont make a mistake and get a ticket. It was nice just driving around not worrying about it. Staff was responsive to emails and quick to solve problems.

Worst place ever. The shuttle took a hour to come to airport to pick me up. The lady at the desk was super rude. She tried to take advantage of the fact she knew I needed a car so she hit me with a lot of hidden fees. False advertisement
