I came in, in need for a haircut and I let him choose what would let best because after all he is the professional, was not disappointed at all and overall hes a really nice guy
Im disheartened to see any negative reviews regarding this business. The gentleman who cut my hair, Mike (hope that is how he spells it) gave me one of the best, if not THE best haircut, Ive ever experienced. Its been over a week and my hair still looks amazing, and is growing into the cut just like Mike said it would. I greatly appreciate the one-on-one attention as I hated having people stare at me as I got my haircut. I am also beginning to lose some hair and Mike was able to give me good advice on ways to mitigate further loss and to cut my hair in a way that it looks like there is no loss. I will be a lifelong customer, I would probably even drive a number of hours if I end up moving out of the Omaha metro. I can only speak to my experience, but it was the top notch, and the price is unbeatable. Thanks again Mike. Honestly owe you a beer.
Called this morning to ask if they have someone who cuts African American hair. I determined it made more sense to ask over the phone rather than take the time and effort to go down in person and find out they didnt. I wasnt going to take offense if they didnt and I asked politely. Unfortunately, the person who answered seemed agitated over the question and said something along the lines of You must have had some bad experiences. Come if you want. And then he hung up. I guess I should write thanks because you saved me the trouble of wasting my time by going to your shop and giving you business. The person didnt have to be rude. I wasnt going to think less of him if he didnt feel comfortable cutting my hair. Oh well. The 1 star is being too generous, but I cant give 1/2 or zero stars.Edited to respond to the professionalI dont see how my question was racially insensitive or demanding special attention. I asked the same question to other stylists in the past and they were more honest and courteous when saying they didnt cut my type of hair. They likely valued the concept of providing good customer service. I didnt take offense or make further demands. I was trying to save them and myself from an awkward situation by calling first before taking time and going in person. So youre wrong when saying all operators cut all types of hair.I dont care about your 30 years of service if youre going to be a hostile insecure jerk. Judging by other reviews, your default response to people asking simple questions is to hang up on them.(Theyre likely asking questions because you dont have a website. Maybe look into creating one or keep believing people should automatically know youre the Yoda of barbers) If thats your idea of good customer service, dont be surprised or upset when you receive further negative reviews. People tend to remember those more.
Very professional and appointments are always done on time. Been a customer for 10 years and always had have had a good experience. Call for an appointment as Mike is usually booked a week or more out and that speaks to Mikes skills which are in high demand.
Called to see if he had time for a walk up. In the 15 to 20 minutes it took to walk to his shop he apparently filled the appointment with someone else. Told me that’s how it goes because I said I would try to be there. Never mind that I called.Edit to respond to HarleyNo respect for someone’s time is exactly what I would say about you. I said I would try to be there. It was about 2 o’clock when I called. I made it to your place at 2:20. Instead of hanging up on me you could have told me you wouldn’t hold the slot. When you did hang up on me I should have realized how you treat people. I wouldn’t have wasted my time walking all the way to your shop to have you tell me “that’s how it goes”. Perhaps you could have told the other walk up that someone called and was on his way so if he shows up the slot is his or told me not to bother. Or maybe just not be so full of yourself and realize people’s time is valuable and not just your own. I would love to have that 40 minutes back that I spent walking to and from your shop. If I would have said “I am on my way” would you have held it? Perhaps “I will be there” and then had the walk take longer than I realized? Telling you I will try to be there IS respect for your time. Saying I will be there and not showing up is a lack of respect. Telling someone “that’s how it goes” is a lack of respect for someone’s time AND being an jerk.
