I just went to Dennison Dahlman for the very first time. One thing that I’ve learned after having the same person cut my hair for 5+ years is that having a barber that does a great job and is easy to talk to is extremely important. Paige knocked it out of the park! She has my hair looking better than I expected and the haircut experience was full of great conversation! I have found my new permanent barber and I can’t wait to come back for another haircut and beard trim!

I bought my fiancee a GC for services there which I was told included hair wash/cut and beard trim & a cocktail while he received his services courteous of bar next door, if appt was after 3pm, what a fun idea right? I also added gratuity on top so that was also taken care of. The shop and staff came off lovely when I went in, very clean, well put together, aesthetically appealing, polite and helpful etc. My experience of the purchase was good so I was excited for his! He wasnt as fortunate. He went in for his 4pm appt this past Monday and it was opposite of mine. He was barely greeted, hardly spoken to at all by barber Marty, there was no hair washing, he wasnt offered nor was it even mentioned he could enjoy a drink for during the appt. None of the things I was told he would enjoy from DD. Being a small business owner I find friendly customer service to be the 1st thing I want new people to my shop to experience and the last thing I want them to leave with is an overall pleasant experience along with being happy with the results of my services so they return! And maybe spread the word in a positive way too! The experience I feel like he had perhaps showed that DD doesnt feel like they need to provide these things. Maybe they are doing so well they dont care if new people come and never return.

He hooked me up with the best haircut of my life, not exaggerating. And the beard trim was flawless. Super cool guy to talk to, as well. Definitely going to be coming back here regularly.

Today was my first time going there, by far the best barbershop in Omaha, all the staff are very friendly, welcoming, and great at what they do. My haircut turned out amazingly, the atmosphere of the shop is lovely, location is superb, and the scheduling process is super quick and easy to follow. I strongly recommend this barbershop for anyone who is looking for a great haircut at a great barbershop.

First cut here after moving to Omaha. Great barbershop experience! Staff is very personable but not pushy or overly talkative if you just want a quiet trim. Products available smell and feel amazing and the perks for just a regular haircut definitely make this one of the best barber shops in town. A little wait at the beginning but no big deal, I expect a little at any decent barber. I had the pleasure of sitting in Wills chair. Great conversation, great beard cut with educated cut suggestions, overall just a good positive vibe at the place from walk in to finish, and then top it off with a drink voucher for next door! Real solid experience.

The gentleman who cut my hair (Ricky I believe) took time to ask me what I wanted... then clarified to make sure he was going down the right path since I hadn’t had my hair cut there previously. He took his time, seemed to pay a lot of attention to detail. He didn’t ask me 9,000 meaningless questions about my life - just got down to business and I was on my way. The cut turned out great and I’ll definitely be back. I also really enjoyed the feel of the shop. My type of place.

Great idea of an upscale barber shop with poor execution. For the prices being charged for a haircut with beard trim to include razor line up I expected a first class cut, trim and line-up. Instead I got a sub-par haircut and a ruined beard with zero razor lineup that may have to be shaved off completely. I am truly furious about this person ruining my beard!

She listened to me, asked clarifying questions, and then knocked it out of the park. I am ridiculously picky about my hair and she was awesome. Also the rest of the shop was really inviting, and down to earth. It felt like an old barbershop with everyone sharing in conversation. The shop itself was super clean, and has an awesome vibe to it. Highly recommend this shop.

I have been going here pretty consistently for years. Two different barbers there have done a great job.I currently go to Ricky. He is extremely detail-oriented and I really appreciate the time he takes on my difficult hair.

Josh has me considering moving to Omaha. Im visiting this weekend for the fight and wanted to look good before then. I made the absolute right choice by choosing this place. Josh cut my beard the best I have ever seen it. Ever. Its east of downtown which gives you another look of how great Omaha is. If you have a chance to get here do it.

I was going to another shop in town and I would sit for an hour plus for a chair to open up to only receive a sup par end result. I liked how I was able to make an appointment and Ricky just killed it with my beard.

Dennison Dahlman is the quintessential barbershop experience. I look forward to going every 2 weeks. The membership makes paying easy and you can schedule the appointment online. Josh Jones cuts my hair and he is one of the very best. The guy is maestro. He ensures you leave with the haircut you want. He has no issue taking feedback on what you envision and applying it. You want a tighter fade...he can do that. You want a razor line-up for your beard...no problem. Not to mention he takes his time with everything but is quick about it if you know what I mean. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

First time being there, referred by a friend. Hate shaving. I got a straight shave. She was personable, professional and did a great job. Well worth the time and money.

The hair stylists there really need to work on their customer service. I stopped in to see if they could do a walk-in haircut and after I asked... *silence*... the 3 hair stylists looked around at each other to figure out who was willing to take a walk-in. One of them just straight up walked out of the room. The other 2 obviously had no sense of urgency to help a customer and couldn’t be bothered to be interrupted in their discussion. I was dismissed with “Yeah, we can’t do it today bruh... *silence*.” No alternative times suggested, nothing.And for that, I’m out.

I was a sport clips guy for a long time because it was easy but the inconsistency in the cuts never made me enjoy going back. I’ve gotten great cuts every single time at this place. It is very refreshing to be at a real barber shop with quality people and a great atmosphere. The free drink is nice too! Would highly recommend to every guy I know!

Ive found my new barbershop. Very cool atmosphere. Josh went above and beyond to fit me in when their schedule was packed for the Thanksgiving week. He opened the shop a half hour early for me and gave me a great haircut on top of everything. Ive been cutting my own hair for years, but every man needs a bit of pampering once in a while. I stopped in to Dennison and Dahlman and Jenny gave me a great haircut, the entire crew was friendly, and the setup with Simple Man and Inkwell was a pleasant way to spend a Friday afternoon. Everything was very authentic, welcoming, and did not feel contrived or intrusive. The perfect place to get a cut.

Josh is an excellent barber and has been in the industry for 15 years before barbering was hip and cool. He makes sure you’re satisfied with his haircuts/shaves every visit. I will continue to go to Josh at Dennison Dahlman until I go bald or die. He has a professional, courteous chairside manner and a delicate, soft touch. I imagine Josh is a gentle lover.

Great space, but the quality is sub par. Got my husband a gift certificate for a haircut and straight razor shave, hoping to give him a great relaxing experience. The haircut: (even I could tell)there were long hairs sporadically throughout the scalp and coming over the ears, so it was uneven. The razor shave: they missed a large portion under his chin. Not sure how these things happen in an “upscale” men’s salon. Icing on the cake was: the barber asked another employee to ring him up because he “ really had to pee and he had held it for too long”. Won’t be going back. Disappointing.

Great place well worth going too

Alright gonna keep it short. I did a walk in today. Got seated right away. The barber I got I wont name but man, he screwed up my hair. I wanted a simple tapered fade. Bottom Line: Frank that works at the shop, saved the day. Dude gave me a great haircut and was able to repair the damage. Then, he went above and beyond and hooked me up with a voucher which was real cool of him. Because of him I was going to come back regardless of the voucher but now I plan on being a regular in his chair. Dude is cool and a great barber. Give the man a raise!

Dennison Dahlman has become one of my new favorite spots.I really like the smaller size of the place and the very personable bartenders. Their whiskey and bourbon selection is great.(Although Ive liked my haircuts at Dennison, I get a little more excited about whisky and bourbon than a haircut)

Man I really wanted to like this place. Not far from home. I just didn’t get a very detailed beard trim from Josh ever. I tried him out 3 times and the guy never remembered who I was and not once did I get a nice lineup. At the time he was the only one here who could use a straight razor, not sure about now. But how do you call yourself a barbershop when only one employee is a barber? 🤨

Josh is the only person I trust with a blade to my neck. Highly recommended if your looking for the true barber experience. Shelby is pretty cool too.

Experience was great for atmosphere, personality, but the cut just felt rushed. If your gonna pay 50 bucks for a haircut and shave.... Barber shouldnt let anyone out of the chair if he knows they have an issue that can be fixed.

This place is awesome! My husband found this place about a year ago, and after trying out multiple barbers Shelby has by far surpassed his expectations for a standard haircut. Not only is she friendly, funny, and personalble, but she is crazy talented- my husband looks like a new man every time he leaves Dennison Dahlman!

Got my hair cut for the second time here. The lady who cut my hair may have been new or her first week there but that doesn’t change the things she messed up. For the $55 the haircut cost me I basically got what I would have if I spent $15-20 at a pro cuts. First off I asked for a zero fade it diffinitly is not a zero fade. She used the back side of a big comb to trim my bread it is super uneven and the line she made on my neck is not straight. Then on top of it she only used shampoo when she washed my hair unless they use a combined. All the things I posted are little things but things I excepted for paying for such an expensive hair cut.

Bit of a hipster flair but not over the top. Great bar next door. And the coffes shop is pleasant too. Oh and dont go to Josh on Saturdays because that will make it difficult for me to get an appoinment with Josh.

Went to get a cut for my son and myself, both haircuts were done inaccurately and when I asked to have it fixed the barber said he could not because he had another client coming in. The price for the haircuts was over priced, the price for my sons was an adult pricing. Worst customer service Ive experienced on a long time.
