After an accident, our vehicle was towed by Webbs Towing to Webbs Towing yard. The next day I called about picking up personal items from the vehicle. I guess having been influenced by TV shows and news reports that depict tow yards as greedy, opportunistic, and uncooperative; I was ready to speak with someone who was all these things.Instead, I spoke with Elizabeth.Elizabeth helped me with picking up the personal items I needed and later with insurance adjusters picking up the vehicle which took an extended period. Theise guys have been around lakeland for as long as I can remember, they dont just tow but haul and recover, I recently bought a loader that weighed 36,000 lbs and they were extremely reasonable on the price. The driver was extremely professional and had a good personality, he made quick work loading and unloading. He really knew what he was doing driving the rig too. Highly recommen webbs if you need somthing hauled towed or recovered.

Broke down along route 4 in our 40 Monaco Motor Home. Limped it into Lakeland at the prodding of a local RV repair shyster. After losing many hundreds of dollars to the unscrupulous repair service we desperately needed towing away from them. Webbs Towing and Recovery did an excellent job getting us away from them. I had called 8 other tow companies before I called webbs a lot of unanswered calls I ended up waiting for one guy for a hour Webbs gave me a estimated wait of another 45 minutes but the driver called about five minutes later and was there in ten minutes super friendly and happy with there service its my first tow I needed since moving to Florida and the price is better than what Im used to from up north so next time Im calling them first I was worried when I saw the star count on Google but turned out to be a good experience angry I needed a tow in the first place but obviously not Webbs fault thanks for the help.

Had a truck towed in from MacDill Air Force Base they removed the drive shaft and when they brought it back to the shop that we repaired or trying to say some guys bad moved it out or something and they did not put it back in have a very good business

When I called I was told $75.00 to hook up then $3 dollars a mile. What wasnt explained is the mileage part. I was in Dollar General parking lot, S Florida Ave by Wendys, I had it towed across the street (literally) to Tire Choice of America. Fee was $49.50 on top of the $75.00. It is about 3 miles, so I decided to call and see why I was charged so much they explained shop to drop meaning they begin tacking miles as soon as they leave their yard. This is something I was unaware of and brings the bill up significantly. However I am giving them 3 stars because all 3 people I dealt with were nice, they just need to explain that pricing better.

Towing one block from my home cost $79.99 I was first told it would be $50 but the price changed after it was dropped off.

My insurance company contacted Webb’s when I was stranded on the interstate for assistance. Not only did their driver get there super fast, but he was incredibly friendly and helpful. We were on our way in no time.

Scott of Webbs Towing listened to our need for a tow vehicle capable of hauling a 15000 lb. unit, that was 25 ft in length and 11ft in height and on a Sprinter chassis. He also took into account that Roadside had sent out two other tow companies, neither of which were capable of hauling a unit of this weight and that four hours had passed. A unit capable of towing our unit arrived in a short time. Finally someone heard what we were saying.On the way to Mercedes Benz of Lakeland, the driver went under a low hanging limb that took off the antenna. When Chris of Webbs Towing heard of the problem he said he would take care of the situation and see we were soon on our way. No fuss, no drawn out questioning again amazed us.While we were at Mercedes Benz, Buck from Webbs Towing arrived to confirm the Damage. He had already called Lazy Days to check and see the part was available. We were informed by Buck that he was heading there and when we get back home that afternoon with the unit, he would be there to install the new antenna. Again we were amazing at the willingness to make the whole repair process convenient for us.It was fixed all in a days time.Scott, Chris and Buck were amazing, making what was a rough start to a summer vacation a smooth one. I dont know why the other review was unfavorable because ours was the total opposite.

I got stuck in mud while I was doing an inspection at one of my jobs land development sites. I called multiple companies but Webbs was the only one that agreed to come out to the location and help me. Marcus arrived quickly and was very friendly! And he got me out of the mud! He really made this terrible situation of my car breaking down a positive outcome he was very knowledgeable and was able to give us an idea if not the solution only reason i say it that was is because we still havent started working on the car yet but still he was AMAZING.

I had an horrible experience with Webb’s towing lake wales for starters I had got into a wreck and my car was towed by them without my control then when I get there I was told $25 a day and they didn’t review with me my ACTUAL bill they charged me $120 TWICE for hook up $275 for storage fees $45 for letters and etc to the point where I had to pay $653 in TOTAL for towing these people are scam artist and they only take cash payments and that’s very fishy but I’m going to look into that with BBB and on top of that they treat you like criminals when it comes to having contact with YOUR car!PEOPLE DONT EVER BRING YOUR CAR HERE YOU WILL GET ROBBED!

Terrible experience I had one of my company trucks towed. They over charged me and left the truck/ chipper in a horrible position at my shop. When I called the gentle man and explained what happened he said he would take care of the situation. Hours passed then my shop manager called and they told him it would be 150.00 after charging me over 400.00 plus dollars for a in town tow.I will be following up for a full refund BBB / Agriculture Department also for my time and having to correct.Hopefully, this doesn’t happen to someone else or worse...“ It isn’t how long you been in business, it is how you run it each day.”

I had an axle fail on a single axle boat trailer and had to leave it alongside the highway 75 miles from my home, intending to return the next day to repair it. I was unable to get back to retrieve it and called Webbs to retrieve it and store it until I could get back to collect it. They did so quickly and professionally. I returned the next day, moved the boat to another trailer, drove that outfit home, returned to get the broken trailer late in the afternoon. Nice people who went out of their way to accommodate a stranger.Highly recommended.

I cant complain about price because my insurance company called them out for me. I was quoted a 60 minute wait and he made it in 40. The driver was very professional and knew how to operate a wrecker (you dont see that every day)

We had a vehicle stuck in the mud about 10 minutes from their office. They quoted me $460 to come get it out plus $185 per hour more if it took over 30 minutes. We passed on that deal. Opportunists and price gougers. It was at night and they knew there was no one else so were going to take full advantage of our situation. We Ubered back to Tampa and came back the next day after Maurice called us and told us he could get us out. Try Maurices!!. Wont ever call Webbs again!!

Bad experience damage done to my gooseneck trailer. Steave dose not want to admit driver error. Drive was told not to put chains on trailer rub rail and did so with out proper authority. Did 200.00 in damages.

I used my roadside assistance through my insurance company. They informed me that Webbs towing would be responding to me. Insurance said they would be their within 45 minutes. Webbs towing arrived earlier than The 45 minute window. Closest repair shop was little over 20 minutes away and closed in 30 minutes. I thought we wouldnt make it in time. But Tow truck driver got the car loaded on flat bed in a hurry and safely and got me and car to shop 5 minutes before closing. (We Dealt with some traffic on the way. ) Driver was very courteous and respected ones property. I recommend this company anytime if you need a tow in the Lakeland area.

James was fantastic! I felt safe driving after he fixed my flat. He did not have a tire guage on hand so he went out of his way to buy one and check the air in my tires.

The most dishonest towing company I have dealt with my whole life. They will add up fees and just up charge you for services they have never performed and the sad part is that there is Nothing you can do about it. Stay away from them

Terrible ur better off selling the car

This is the worse tow company ever!!! They towed one of our box trucks once at my job the guy was a complete moron towed the wrong truck and than finally came back and got the right truck... My tech stood on site for five hours waiting for these dumb people... Recently I needed my personal truck towed they towed it but when the guy got to my house to drop it off he bounced it up and down so hard he bent my driveshaft... When I called to report this the manager who called me back was very rude and blamed me for my messed up driveshaft even though I had four witnesses that seen this man bounce my truck repeatedly and was ask to stop but didnt... Needless to say my attorney is going to be contacting them very soon and they will be paying for a lot more than just a driveshaft... My company and I will never use this company again and I will be sure to pass the word around of how horrible they are too everyone I come in contact with.

Experience with Webbs Towing started when my RV broke down on I-4 in Lakeland. First when I called, the dispatcher had to call me back to find out when the RV tow driver could get to us. They called back and said four hours. So, we jumped in our mini-van and drove home.Then we were told that we would have to drive back to the RV because they dont do unaccompanied tows. So, when they called my husband drove the 30 minutes back to where the RV was broke down.My husband had to assist their driver in loading the RV...it is a good thing that we didnt need a lift...the tow truck had two bucket seats and the drivers son was with...so, no room for my husband anyhow.Then, after the RV was loaded, my husband headed to home...we got a call from the driver dispatcher...the driver was all mad that my husband took off and he wanted to follow him back to the house. THEN, they called my husband and made my husband wait on the side of the road for tow driver to catch up.The real fun started when the tow driver got to our house. Again, my husband had to help unload...and then out 375 tow was changed to being 495 dollars!!!!! I told the driver I disagreed with the price and I was calling his dispatch. Because I called his dispatcher, HE DECIDED IT NOW HAD TO BE CASH!!!!While I was talking to his dispatch, he rehooked my rv. When I refused to let him finish reloading it, he called the cops.My husband had to run to the gas station, pull money out of two separate accounts, and come back...because the tow driver had a hook on our RV the police called that possession.Use this company at your own risk. They dont track their time, charge out at 150 an hour, claim it will take them twice as long to get back to their shop, and force you to cash pay AND call the police if you dont have the absurd amount on you. Even better...they never bothered to return my rv keys...what a bunch of thieves!
