I came here to read reviews before attempting to apply for an apartment here. I recently got to tour a unit! A lot of the comments mention rude staff. Everyone that I interacted with was very kind! Daniella was awesome & super helpful + welcoming too! I’m hoping to snag a unit here!
Edit: TyposThe area suffers from a huge parking issue like every one says and its no better now for most. They bill themselves a luxury apartment but I dont think that fits. The pool is small, the gym is more a cardio room that isnt really maintained well, with squeaky treadmills and people that dont rerack weights. They apartments themselves are ok, nothing that stands out a great or horrible. Just be sure to take a tour of a similar unit before putting money down.If you are looking to be close to base, the commute isnt bad; however, there are cheaper areas that can suit your need.I dont have much interaction with the staff. Maintenance guys seem cool but tired and overworked, no idea who the front desk person or manager is since COVID. Also prepare for inspections and pest sprays, sometimes with last minute notice. And you cant reschedule them.Overall your mileage will very like with any place like this, dont put money down at the first look. As a three star says: its okay.
There is not enough parking! Expect to park on the street at least half of the time. And the car ports and garages they try to upsell you are not always going to be anywhere near your building. The closet car port to my building was over 6 buildings away. Same with the dumpster. Maintenence/office workers either handle your request in less than a day or in multiple months. There is no in-between. The office workers randomly close the office in the middle of the day with no warning. The pool is always closed for maintenence. The apartments themselves are nice and its rare that I hear my neighbors. You can however hear the highway in some of the buildings.
Maggots have been coming through the walls twice in my apartment now. The best they can do is have someone out tomorrow both times.
Moved recently and the experience was seamless with absolutely no issues. All staff in the office were extremely helpful and respected social distance guidelines. My apartment was in superb condition and communication efforts from staff have been professional. Dont sleep on this complex and it’s mediocre reviews!
I applied for a 2 bed 1 bath unit before I read any of the above reviews, and from my experience with the staff themselves its all accurate. To apply you have to put down a $25 app fee, $150 administrative fee, and a $100 reservation fee before youve even been approved. They do a thorough background check, criminal history, credit record, etc. before youre approved. As soon as youre approved YOU CANNOT BACK OUT AND GET YOUR MONEY BACK. Non-refundable as soon as they approve you. I just wish I had read the reviews of this place before I applied. I called 5 times over the course of 2 weeks after getting approved to see if at least the reservation fee was refundable and no one ever answered the phone. The first time I heard from a human person was when I called to try to get my money back and they basically told me that they already had it and wouldnt be refunding it. Too bad, so sad.Do yourself a favor and live ANYWHERE else for this price. Youll be so much better off. I ended up finding a 2 bed 1 bath house for almost the same price. They can keep the $275 just so I wont have to make the mistake of moving into this place.
Drove 3 hours from Dallas excited and interested in getting an apartment and one of the workers were very rude and unprofessional . Apartments are beautiful but due to the poor/rude interaction decided to take my money elsewhere!!
My husband and I experienced a very rude staff, poor quality units with terrible stains on the floor, and poor communication with trying to book an appointment to gather info. We wont be moving here.
THE BEST PROPERTY EVER! I love everything about The Landing Apartments, and Ive lived in numerous Apartment Complexes. First and foremost, the Ladies in the Office (Hannah, Ashley, and Teresa) are amazing and so helpful. They really made my Leasing experience so easy and smooth. Next, the floor plans are amazing and spacious, I sometimes forget that I am even in an apartment because they are so cozy. Maintenance really gets things done and they really made me feel so comfortable if they ever did have to enter my apartment. All in all, I have nothing even remotely negative to say about this property! Even the neighbors are so polite and friendly. If youre in the market for a great location and property I strongly suggest you check out The Landing.
Despite some of the complaints in the reviews here, I have only good things to say about my stay at the Landing. Its close to work, parking was never a problem, noise was always within tolerable limits, buildings seem to be networked properly (experienced no outages, and ATT Fiber is super fast. Love it!).If youre undecided about living here, I say do it. You wont regret it.
Apartments are very nice, but management is kind of difficult to work with.
I and my spouse just recently moved into this complex. We moved from a 4 bedroom home and was quite nervous about the space. We looked at several options and with the help of Lauren and Teresa they helped us make the right decision. Each time we have called and spoken with Lauren and Teresa they have been nothing but polite and courtesy. I have only meet one neighbor and they was really polite. The updated look and feel of the complex is amazing. If we have any problems they are there to help. Also love the fact that it is a dog friendly community. I would recommend this location to all my friends.
Love the easy on and off to 240 which can get you anywhere! The employees up front know exactly what to do when needed and always ready to help. When we first looked we knew that most plans were the same and was happy looking at ones similar to the ones we chose. This area is also ready for growth and we are in the right place now! Location Location Location is great! The strict guidelines to live here made me feel so much safer knowing not just anyone can be here! Keep up the great work and glad we are HOME!!!
These apartments are gorgeous! They are so spacious inside, and have these neat little nooks that are perfect for pets, a small office, or a reading nook. The bedrooms are super roomy and the layout is perfect. The office staff is also super friendly, and maintenance is super knowledgeable! Highly recommend.
I feel it’s important others see this information!I just recently moved away from here and before moving out I went and met with with the property manager (Teresa) and asked exactly what is needed to be done to receive my deposit back as my apartment was in perfect condition. She gave me the following items and I completed them all!- All carpets professionally cleaned (turn in receipt)- Baseboards cleaned- Blinds cleaned- Ceiling Fans cleaned- Clean entire apartment and wallsI completed each of these items, took photos of my apartment and turned in my receipt. I was shocked to find out after completing a walk through and doing all the above that I was still not getting my deposit back in fact they told me I owed them $97.I have spent the last several weeks attempting to contact their corporate office, meet with their property manager, find out what the exact issue is but nobody will return my calls or give me any answers all I know is I completed all the items I was told and they are refusing to refund my money. Please watch out for this company!!I would also like to add that I was a great tenet. I will continue to post comments because I again do not want others to be treated unfairly.
These apartments are some of the worst I have lived in, besides how new and up to date they are. First, parking is a nightmare. Their solution was to issue parking permits, but they dont actually monitor who parks anyway. People are parallel parking on the service road because they would have to walk 8 buildings down otherwise. Second, the water pressure is okay but it fluctuates across the entire complex all the time. Also, everyone is forced to have AT&T so the service sucks a majority of the time. Lastly, we have had the worst experience with our upstairs neighbors, and even after making more than 20 noise complaints all hours of the day and night and submitted multiple videos, management will not help. The ladies at the first desk are anything but nice, and the assistant manager couldnt even make time to talk with us. She would have her secretary person relay messages back and forth. They are just rude! They just make excuses for everything and they eventually run off the good, respectful people.
I had a tour today with my best friend and we fall in love with this place. The ladies in the office are very professional and help us out with all our questions, and...OMG! the apartment is amazing...love it! love it! nice, clean, spacious and the amenities are super. Cant wait for my friend to move in so I can visit her at The Landing!!
Apartment interior is great. Kinda didnt like that the kitchen was the first thing when you entered the house though. For 6 months I was waiting for them to put a draft stopper on our outside door, because bugs were crawling inside the apartment, and not one or two, but 30 of them in a week. 6 months before we moved out; so god knows how long they wouldve taken.Kitchen has very minimal storage and cabinet space; we didnt realize it at first when we looked at the apartment. So immediately after we moved, we had no place in the kitchen to put half our utensils.Something about the location kept giving me allergies. So much so that even after taking medication every day, I had to take many days off, especially during the colder months. And I had to take unpaid leave sometimes just because of the amount of days I was taking off and seeing the doctor. So doctors and medical expenses in the list too. I have not had the same problem after moving to Moore.Parking was chaotic. Swimming pool was down for weeks at a time.. need more swimming pools for the amount of apartments they have. They show off the pool table in the clubhouse, it looks nice, but once you actually play you notice that there is no space to maneuver your pool cues. They form and implement policies effective within couple days to as short as 24 hours, or threaten you to pay a fine. And when you go to the office complaining that its too short amount of time to change the policy, they say dont expect the worst in us, we will give you some leeway, as if to say theyre the good guys and were getting courtesy from them. But they changed policies and gave us like 3 day notice to begin with. The two of us had 3 cars total when we moved in. There was nothing on the signed contract saying we cant have more than 1 car per person. During the middle of our contract, they implemented this policy of one car per person and said the deadline to comply is 3-4 days out of the notice. What car can you sell in 3-4 days?? And then they pretend to be courteous by giving you a couple extra days..So, in a nutshell, very pricey for the amount of service youre getting.Theresa and Taylor were great; the others were rude.
UPDATEDLoni had it right....the parking is horrendous. And their “solution” was just to have us put permits on our cars. No assigned spots, no added spots, nothing. Each person on the lease gets a permit....so it’s pretty much the same number of people parking still on a daily basis. Oh and for those who live alone? I pay the same amount of rent but get less spaces and will STILL have to park 2-3 buildings away. On top of that, they say if you don’t have a permit, you can’t park in the complex at all. So I hope you don’t want friends to visit you because they’ll have to park on the interstate service road or down the street at the Heart Hospital. EDIT: excuse me, they have now come out with “visitor zones”, so I hope you’re luckily enough to have your building close to those. As for everything else, it’s OKAY. The fixtures, the location, the looks, the appliances (all super simple btw. My stove doesn’t even have a clock on it), everything is just okay. Not spectacular, not amazing and definitely not worth the $1100 I pay in rent. The only thing that I’d say is above average for this place is the people in the front office, Teresa and Taylor. They’re both very polite and helpful and friendly.
Confusing complex for delivery drivers. Buildings went from 1-4, then 11-20 something with no clear view of where to find the other buildings. It was also unclear when you arrive if the streets are one way or not. While attempting to locate building 10, there were two other trucks driving around trying to locate a building.
I work for AHI Corporate Housing and my company has numerous units at this property. Our clients love staying at The Landing OKC and I feel confident when I place them that they will be happy with their temporary home. The apartments are spacious and very nice.
UPDATE: The new workers are super nice and helpful, but upon moving out I learned that the leaks werent even properly fixed. Electrical plug-ins poured water like in The Shining, the windows still cry, and the only thing I had fixed during my stay was my dish washer which was actually swapped out.Not a safe or money worth place as of yet..END OF UPDATE.Opened way too early.. Just about every complex leaks when it rains, the alley ways flood, and the staff are slow to get unlivable conditions fixed. Too pricey for what you get.Long story short; I was in a hurry and moved into a place I regret. There are at least 2 other complexes I wish I wouldve moved into instead that are better condition and better price. Please dont eff yourself like i did.
Do not put any money down to hold apartments. Unless YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY sure you will be approved. The office will say yes I can get you approved just to keep all the fees. BEWARE
A cheaply built apartment in an unsafe location made worse by a horrible management staff.First night - car vandalizedFirst bill - incorrect with incorrect chargesMove out - the front office lady claimed that we hadnt scheduled it with her. We had the confirmation email...sent by her.Final bill - incorrect with incorrect charges. The front office couldnt even explain at and I had to wait for a manager to call me.Construction - cheap, but made to look expensive. Dont be fooled by the granite counter tops. If you look at the wall paint funny, it will chip off. I had to have the carpet professionally cleaned, but when I moved in there was junk all over it. Go two miles down the road to a far nicer apartment complex instead.Speaking of the front office, when on earth are you even open? I spent 6 months here and came by multiple times during the day just to find the office closed.Parking is over crowded.I wouldnt even consider living here again unless new management took over and they made it a gated complex.
Not a resident but I was interested in living at the Landing. Everything about it is great except for one thing... The parking looks scarce. Not sure what they’ll do to fix the issue, but until they do, I will not be signing there. Paying x amount for a garage is not an ideal resolution
Beautiful apartment and grounds. Was going to lease a 2 floor apartment with move in on the 27. But the apartment complex that I was moving from caught fire causing me to jump out of the 2nd floor bedroom window shattering my lower leg. The managers at the landing was so understanding they allowed me the change from the up stair apartment I originally applied for to the ground floor apartment. Can’t wait to move in
We had an absolutely horrible experience at this apartment complex. So much so that we paid the insane amount of money just to get out of our lease. A big thing is the fact that people don’t clean up their dog poop and the complex does nothing about it. There’s dog poop anywhere there’s grass. They also let the dog poop trash overflow. It has happened on multiple occasions, they’re also bad at refilling the poop bags which causes there to be even more poop. The parking is horrendous and my car was broken into. When I informed the staff they did absolutely nothing and didn’t care at all despite me not being the first this has happened to. We had several upstairs neighbors all of which were extremely noisy, the walls are very thin so you can hear everything. They also SELECTIVELY discriminate against dog breeds. I had a foster dog who was a Lab/Pit mix and they called and told us we had to get rid of her the same day. Yet the people above us had 2 full blown pitbulls who have both growled at my dogs on several occasions. Some of the front desk staff have been very polite but even under the new management absolutely nothing changed. The new manager was very rude as well. The apartment itself is very nice other than the thin walls and ceilings. ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS PLACE. It is way overpriced for what you get and the quality of management.
DO NOT MOVE IN HERE Currently living here and the parking is like I am in college again. After about 7PM plan to park atleast 500 yards from your building and if you park in any questionable spot because you are a girl like myself walking home from your car at night you get threatened that they will tow your vehicle. The say my best solution is to spend $80 a month on a garage
The apartments are super cute! I would recommend if you are looking for something new and modern in the area. I really love this place!!
So I took a while to write this review just because so much horrible things went wrong with this place. First off, for the military people, I suggest you guys check the apartment complex across the street or the houses behind the apartments. They go for $1000 average for a 3 bedroom! When we first moved in, there was Taylor and man she was awesome. After a year she quit which left us with Teresa and this bigger white girl. They both just had white girl nasty bratty attitudes. It’s funny because they try to give customer service but you can just hear the attitude and the slight rudeness. I hated going to the office after Taylor left. The move out process was horrid. I remember right before I moved in, I asked if we’ll get penalized if there’s little wear and tear on the walls when we move out. Taylor said oh no we’re not that bad, just in case I had to take pictures,, ohhhh but they were just as bad. We spent around $100 paying for cleaning supplies for the move out because I’m that person that would love to avoid any fees possible. We pulled out the fridge and oven and vacuumed and mopped. Cleaned the oven in and out. Same as the fridge. Everything was taken out and cleaned. Every blind and aircon vent was cleaned, we made sure everything was cleaned, even the ceiling fan and as far as the patio to be wiped down. It’s funny because they ask for our carpet to be professionally cleaned but when we moved in, it was full of carpenter dust and everything was dusty. Oh and the walls? Even just one wipe with a wet cloth takes of the paint. They’re even cheap with their paint. Anyways, we did the walkthrough with terese and this maintenance guy and she checked us off as good, he even ripped up the carpet and they looked in all the cabinets and she just said oh you may have a paint touch up fee which I was against because of the normal wear and tear rule but whatever. So months later I get a bill for $25 paint touch up and $35 fee cleaning fee!!!! So I fought the cleaning fee at least. I disputed for months and even wrote a long email that they think they can charge $35 and think it’s just a small fee but I work hard for my money AND I cleaned and spent money on the supplies! I even asked for proof of what they cleaned and said they didn’t have pictures and just gave me a receipt that had the same cleaning fee for another few apartments. The landing ended up changing companies and let me go. Oh and their attitude gets worse when you’re not a tenant anymore. The inner white brats come out full force after that. So unprofessional and even over the phone! The apartments are advertised and is priced as luxurious but you would think they would have hired better trained staff. It’s just best if you get with a better apartment or a house with a landlord because you can’t handle anything serious with the girls in the office. You have to call the uppers who are not in the office or another state. This is just a big scam. That restrict parking and build garages and charge another $100 for a good parking spot. They could’ve even made the pond a parking lot. This company only built this complex for money. I don’t care about the girls but the whole internal management is a joke. The girls in the office have no power to do anything. Parking was a nightmare the whole year we were there was a nightmare. Oh and people get their cars broke into there too. You can see the glass shatters from their window on the parking lot. If you make good money and don’t care about the little fees then go for it and if you can avoid the office then this place will be good. They do have a nice property but I wish this apartment corporation wasn’t so greedy. Place is built well. Pool is nice but so small. And get this, you can’t reserve the pool space for a little birthday party or gathering. They said only 2 people per resident on the lease. So what’s the point of having a grill there when you can’t chill with family or friends. It’s like a circus with a disguise. Now we live in a 3 bd duplex for $950 a month and we were paying $900 at the apartments.
Jumping straight into it. My wife and I absolutely abhorred living here, which caused us to break our lease 4 months early.PRICING: 1/5- A 2-bedroom apartment with the nook is running you about $1200/mo. The construction of the apartments does not support this price. Do not let the hardwood flooring/granite counter tops fool you. The drywall work is shoddy at best and the paint is horrible. They chose a matte paint, so anything rubbing on the wall is going to stain it, which means they are going to try to charge you for that. And if they dont, the apartments were painted before allowing time for the buildings to settle on the slab. This is important to note because that means that all of your corners, windows, and doorways are going to have cracks in the paint surrounding them. Even though this is not your fault, they will try to charge you for it if you didnt note it on your move-in inspection report.LOCATION: 1/5- The Landing OKC was built with the promise of a safe & scenic experience. Unless you live on the north side. Then you get to look at traffic on the I-240. Oh, and its not safe. Crime in the area has skyrocketed over the past 8 months. countless vehicle break-ins, attempted GTA and successful GTA. There has also been a murder in the Sunny Pointe housing division directly south of the complex. This has not prompted management to make any attempt to secure the complex. No on-duty officers, no camera security system, no security gating around the perimeter of the complex. Nothing. Management literally told residents to consider renting a garage in order to protect their vehicles. The garage is an extra $80/mo. Speaking of..PARKING: 0/5- If I could rate something negatively, I would. Buildings with a max occupancy of 24 driving adults get to figure out a parking strategy where they get to share 11 parking spots. More than half of the residents on the north side of the complex are now parking on the service ramp as to avoid a .5 mile walk to their vehicle in the morning.Management could easily increase the value of their complex by filling in the lake in the middle of the complex to make room for more parking. Regardless of the fact that no one uses the lake, and residents have found things like 2-litre bottles and condoms in it. Literally just fill in the lake, make it a parking area, install camera security and gate in the complex. Then, and only then, will the apartment complex have an argument for charging you mortgage prices to live there.Youre literally better off buying a house than living here. I will be consulting my chain of command on Tinker AFB on ensuring this business doesnt receive military money until they can fix the glaring problems with their complex, especially ensuring their residents stay SAFE. I had to conceal carry my pistol at night when I was taking the trash out. That last statement should be enough.
Floor plans are beautiful! The staff is awesome and goes above and beyond!
The parking is horrible. I went fishing in the pond with my nephew we caught a turtle, a condom, and liqour bottle. However, I do love that the dumpsters are always overflowed
Staff is very nice and the apartments are as well. Hannah was very helpful!
By far one of the WORST place to live. The company is greedy and the onsite management are far from professional or helpful. The appartments are built cheap. I mean they cut corners on quality. The paint peels off the walls with a little water, and walls and ceilings have no sound proofing. You can hear everything! Parking is a nightmare. Expect to walk a football field or more to your cars. People litterally parking on the highway service road to access their apartments.
Its in an awful part of town nothing around but the heart hospital I dont know if thats a plus or what. For luxury apartments it seems really weird to not have a gated community especially in this part of town. We spent four hours up there looking at apartments and the lady couldnt even find the keys to the correct floor plan we wanted to see. whenever she finally found the keys it was the exact same floor plan we just saw, then apologized and said she couldnt show us the floor plan but we could reserve one if we wanted. It all boils down to location, location, location
When it rains outside, it also rains inside. First floor floods and water comes through the windows. Bugs also find ways in because of the lack of proper sealant.
Everyone is very helpful here, especially ashley
Love this place!! So many great amenities
Beautiful property and the staff is great!
Thank you for the good service!
They’re okay.
Parking sucks!!
