My first 2 years here I didnt have any issues. Maintenance responded quickly along with management. Now its hard to get a phone call back about anything. Rent increases with random fees it seems. Example: $16 breezy fee...π€
My boyfriendβs apartmentβs hot water tank has been leaking and flooding since Friday. Soaking the carpet in both bedrooms. For 3 days heβs been telling management and nothing has been done. 100% ridiculous and unprofessional. Iβm looking forward to seeing how they handle repairing the damages.
I donβt know who these fortunate souls are that have been getting these great and professional responses. After 3 months and a concession in June I am still dealing with the same issues. Is it damn near impossible to get a call back and many times I took off work to have someone come fix the issue no one shows up. Last week on Wednesday they were supposed to come and no one showed up (not surprised) on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. I called again and have yet to hear back from anyone. I am so fed up and just want the problem fixed. I have been so patient and tried to be understanding but this is beyond ridiculous. I donβt understand, I certainly do not recommend anyone live here.

From the first visit I made to The Arden to look at different living options, Kerstin and Destiny were willing to help me and my FiancΓ© out of our old apartment. They were extremely responsive and communicative with us and made sure that we found a place that was both within our budget, and renovated. It was such a breath of fresh air to see the leasing office treat us like people.
They could do better with hiring people. I walked outside to my truck and the 2 men working didnt acknowledge me but as soon as my wife steps outside to let our dog use the restroom they stop what theyre doing stand up and stare at her for 3 minutes. It was until i walked up to her that they stopped staring instantly and the look on their faces when i asked them what they were staring at were as if they just got caught.
From the moment I walked into the leasing office Kerstin has been very attentive and highly professional. Any business would greatly benefit from her exceptional customer service skills and excellent people skills. I had issues with my AC not working and I went up to the main office and ended up talking to the manager and he immediately got maintenance on top of it with in 30 minutes and was very polite and very professional. Great price great living space overall and great service!!!

So the biggest issues.My rent increases EVERY time I renew. We dont do anything to this apartment to warrant this.Hidden fees are added to my rent all the time. I am NEVER informed when they are added or why they are added.When I sign my lease I want to know EVERYTHING I am paying for. I found out about all the fees I was paying AFTER my first months rent.Everyone just save your money and go somewhere else. $600 a month sounds great until they add $100 of stuff on top of it.Additional information: They let people sublet here. Ive had 6 different people move into an apartment next to mine within a 6 month period. Ive called the leasing office with my concerns 3 times and nothing has been done. The last time I called they asked: Well... are they bothering you?. Absolutely ridiculous! Stay away from this place!
Management is non-responsive and lacks integrity.I put in a maintenance request on 05/05/2021 for my dryer to be inspected because it was giving off a strong burning smell while it ran.Maintenance never got back to me so I decided to go down to the office to see what the hold up was on 05/27/2021.They were short on maintenance and did not notify me of the situation at hand and so I was waiting 2 1/2 weeks just to find out very frustrating.I replaced the dryer hose that was torn in the middle and was slowly coming off causing the burning smell. So I went to home depot and bought a new hose for the dryer and swapped it out.I went to Harry the manager and showed proof of purchase and the old torn up hose to request a refund.He refused to give me a refund despite the situation at hand that took place.
They never answer the phone. The office staff always has an attitude. The apartment that you will tour and the video online is false advertisement. I had several issues before i even moved into the apartment which made me not want to move in. They are so unprofessional. Please find somewhere else to live. The police are always over there and the streets and parking spots are too narrow.
The staff is very welcoming and nice. Destiny specifically helped me with everything I needed, answered all of my questions and they also surprised me with a house warming gift ! π they overall experience was great. Apartment was also very nice.
Biggest issue with this complex is they do not return your callls, voice mails or emails. My AC was leaking on my bathroom floor for 2+ months before they hired outside help to fix it and its still not fixed, it has a band aid. Non smoking units, its in the lease, but they wont do anything for you when you leave voice mails and emails.Apartment is nice, love the location, but to many negative experiences to stay. Maintenance always has an excuse for something.Ive been here 4 years, paid my rent on time every month, there will not be a 5th year. Next month i get the opportunity to give them my leaving paper and im out in 3 months.See ya***Edit 07/27/2021***Sent an email as asked by the owner, and still no response. So its not just the complex, its the whole company that doesnt respond to its tenants. Nice!! Stay somewhere else people.
Problems after problems with this place. When we first moved in, there were cockroaches in every corner of the apartment. It felt as though they were raining down from the ceilings. Now after the snow storm caused burst pipes that tore down our dining room walls, there will be no reimbursement for our hotel stay or any inconveniences. We were without water for almost 6 days. Unable to even use the restroom in our own apt. Unable to even step foot in the dining room due to falling sheet rock. Management let us know they would be offering no assistance in any form, even though our apt was inhabitable for 6 days. They basically said, tough luck and blamed us for even going to a hotel and expecting compensation.Rating one star is being EXTREMELY generous to this place. Be ware the pretty picture they paint for you.

I just moved in about 3 weeks ago now and so far Iβm absolutely loving it here. Management is amazing and very responsive and professional! Latoya, Destinie, and Kerstin are all great in the office and very helpful and personable! I highly recommend this apartment complex!!!
I enjoyed my experience at Arden Northwest and mostly due to the helpfulness and friendliness of Harry and Destinie on a consistent basis to answer any questions. Any time I came in to pay a bill, ask a question, file a service request, or anything else, they were both super friendly, welcoming and helpful, which made my stay feel very homey.The application process was simple and they were very helpful and clear from the beginning. The unit I moved into was very clean all around and had new carpet which made it feel even cleaner. I did not experience bugs or dirtiness or maintenance issues at all aside from the ice storm (of which everybody in the entire city lost water and power).The parking lot is tiny and normally crowded, which was a downside but it felt safe and neighbors were pretty friendly. The location is awesome being less than five minutes away from all of Quail Springs, Walmart, food, etc. If you are looking to move here, ask for Harry or Destinie 100%. They are the ones you are gonna want to talk to. Overall a good value apartment complex.

Not a bad place to stay. Close to memorial while being within a fair drivable distance of the metro area. Office folks are helpful; mainly Destiny, shes always honest and helpful however she can.

Thinking of moving to this apartment? Pause !!! Thats a wrong move. Management sucks and they keep bringing up outrageous extra charges and fees. I cant wait to break my lease and move out. My worst experience ever. They really dont deserve any ratings from me.

Seriously go anywhere but here. Youβll just be another number to these people. The buildings are built POORLY. Our apartment is falling apart at the seams quite literally. Not to mention the amount of infestations weβve had. We had to get sprayed for cockroaches for almost 4 months before they finally seemed to die down. Even then, weβd find dead cockroach carcasses in our cabinets and countertops every so often. Just disappointed in this place after they made it seem so homey .

The worse Management and ownership ever I want waste my time. Maintenance issues takes weeks to resolve. The manager doesnt care about anyone and thinks hes too big to come out and talk to anyone who has issues.Destinie is the only good employee left there. It might as well be a section 8 apartment. Changing the apartment name doesnt make it a good place to stay.

I must say that i am impressed, first with the facilities in the apartment especially Lawn Tennis court which is my favorite sport. More interesting is the professionalism and high sense of responsiveness in good time enjoyed first from Destinie and Subsequently from Priscilla- Priscilla is amazing with her customer service and was quite helpful. Both ladies were friendly and all staff were courteous and on top of the job. Was happy to downsize and move to Ashford for school. But two years later my dream apartment became hell from a neighbor smoking weed and the 1800 century ventilation system carrying it into my apartment. Worst of it i was pregnant. So many nights I had to sleep in my car because the ventilation system would carry the neighbors weed into my apartment. Couldnt breathe. Called the manager and staff at the leasing office who told me they couldnt help me since they couldnt figure out which of the neighbors was smoking Marijuana in a smoke free apartment. They ended up passing out a piece of paper which kept the neighbor in check for just two weeks. Since the neighbor resumed smoking weed from 11pm to 1am, they have not done anything about it. I called the office and they told me to write an email which I did but nothing has been done till now. Everyone should work hard and get a decent place.

When we first walked into the office to get information on the apartments, the lady was kinda rude. Instead of greeting us or welcoming us, she sternly told us to give her a second. Without any further acknowledgment she handed us off to Dillon. Dillon, on the other hand was very nice and answered every question we had. He made sure that all of our concerns were taken care of. He walked us all around the complex showing all their beautiful amenities. Dillion was great!
Both Jessica and Dylan in the main office were wonderfully warm and welcoming with helping me get an apartment and leasing option that fit my fiances budget and timeline. While in the office, I noticed they both treated all of their tenants that came in like family/close friends, even had a few laughs with them. Thanks very much Jessica and Dylan!

The staff has been super helpful and patient with our move. Theyve answered all our questions, let view our apartment several times, and have just been nothing but kind! Destiny always has a friendly face when we walk in and makes us feel super welcome. You can tell she along with the whole staff really care.
They truly act like they donβt want anyone to move in, it takes forever to get a response out of them, and when we were able to get any responses the responses are very rude. We submitted an application and did everything they asked us to do and have still not heard anything and it seems like no one is even trying. I truly wouldnβt recommend at all.
I lived here for 3 years. Each time there was a simple maintenance request it was like pulling teeth to get it fixed. Towards the end, my maintenance requests were simply marked as completed without anyone ever coming to look at the issue. I went almost a year without a working dishwasher and a washing machine that put rust stains in clothes, as well as strangely colored water leaking into the bathtub from a PVC pipe hole in the ceiling. The day I moved out, maintenance brought up a brand new dishwasher.The entire 3 years I spent there, the refrigerator leaked water onto the floor, bubbling the laminate flooring and rotting the wood underneath, and black mold frequently built up in vents and corners of the bathroom (which I cleaned with bleach every time the complex failed to fix it).Aside from the normal wear and tear (and appliances breaking down) I kept this apartment in excellent condition: used command strips and never nails, vacuumed and mopped regularly, never destroyed anything in the apartment. I was, however, offered neither my apartment nor my pet deposits back.I cannot stress this sentiment enough: do not move here.
The team at ashford was extremely nice and helpful. They were quick to answer any question I had about the property and area. Even after visiting and talking, they still maintained a great relationship and checked up on me to make sure I was doing alright and had settled in. Most places just talk at you, but the management here really made sure to talk to me and with me. Felt very welcoming and clean. Iβve told all my friends if they were looking to move, that this was a great location with great customer service that goes above and beyond just getting a lease, but making sure youβre happy. I see myself staying here for as long as I can

I had a wonderful experience finding an apartment to lease with one of the leasing staff named, Priscilla! She was very sweet, knowledgable, and quick at finding me what I wanted. She also made the process pain free for my family and I. Priscilla made sure to stay in contact with me over phone and by email and was always there to help me at any moment in time. I would definitely recommend checking the Ashford out.
Ive been living here since October 2019 and will be moving out soon so Im going a yearly review. This review (09/23/2020) is updated from the previous one that I did in May.I do really like this place though other than the maintenance issues (I was without my AC for 3 months until the Apartment Manager Ben managed to get it fixed after I sent in some negative reviews about the place and honestly maintenance is always super slow here), the apartments are beautiful, spacey. The appliances are nice as well, however I was not able to use my dishwasher for the entire year Ive been living here as it did not work. My bathroom mirror when I originally moved in here had huge rust spots on the side which wasnt replaced until 2 months ago despite being told that itd be replaced weeks after I moved in. Its strange too because the Maintenance crew are all super nice and friendly! They seem like they are not the issue and its most likely those higher up in the chain of command. I have to note too that I was not told when I first moved in October that there was no hot water. Apparently it was an apartment complex wide issue. It was only after I signed the lease and moved in officially was I alerted to the fact that hot water was not available. Thankfully, things did get better and after a week the hot water was turned back on but it was a very frigid time with the temperatures being cold and no warm shower.Note to people: It is a pretty noisy area with loud engines and more being common. The worse part though, something the apartments cannot control, is honestly the amount of gun shots you hear. I hear them pretty frequently and a boy recently died at Raindance apartments literally across the street after being shot. Thats the only reason why we decided not to renew our lease here after 11 months, with the gunshots and the fact someone very close by died it just made us not feel very safe anymore. Were looking to move to a quieter place. I definitely love this area though and perhaps if crime rates improve well be back, but for now its a no.

Poor communication, you will be met with kindness at first. Once your lease is signed, it may take a month or two but then you will realize you should have found somewhere else to live. I assure you, its not worth it to live here.
Destinie Was an Amazing Help!
Move in day, and we received the unit that is not even match the description that weve ask for; although, weve ask the staff MORE THAN 20 times to get the unit of desire.And the guy that handled us was so certain that its the correct unit. After the long wait time of the process is the disappointment of the management. When the managerof the property was nice and realized that it was her staffs mistake to suggest to us that unit, she apologized and also tried to speak with whoever in higher position to settle for us. But all they did is suggesting us to take that unit or to move to another available with a $140+ per month higher than the original amount of the unit we signed; even though the fault is on them. So now we either stuck with that unwanted unit or have to agree to pay extra 140 per month due to the mistake of their staff. Irresponsible, full of confusion and disappointment, and I would not recommend to anyone.
I canβt to visit this property 3/7/20 and Ms. Dee and Destiny were very helpful! I felt like the service I was provided was genuine and not just because they were working! I have faith this will be a great place to live and Iβll be moving in!9/15/20I completely retract my previous review and change this community to 1 star. I was promised that maintenance fixes request timely and they donβt. Just about every request that Iβve put in has had to be done at least twice because it was half done the first time. I had a leak in my bedroom closet that someone came out and fixed and here we are a month later with mold growing. Donβt waist your money!

One of the reasons I chose these apartments is because the number of Floor plans you can chose from ( I highly recommend their lofts). Itβs a quiet community with a pool and 24 hour gym. I looked at 10 other apartment complexes before I fell in love with Ashford. Truly a great place to live!
I had to come back and edit my review.These apt are not good or responsive at all. I would not recommend these to anyone the manager will ask you to do a review before you had a chance to settle in and form a true opinion on how the staff is. I put in a request for maintenance Friday and come Tuesday no one has contacted me or followed up with me about my issue. I called multiple times no one answers.The answering service they had donβt even represent them anymore. They donβt do anything about the ice on the stairs or the walk way itβs very dangerous and slippery. When my lease is up I will not renew here. My advice if you are shopping for a place to live to look the other way because this is not it. Donβt trap yourself like I did

I am mortified that this apartment complex would have residents cars towed especially during this pandemic and financial crisis. Its really sad. I was actually excited about moving in. I like living here. Its quiet and the neighbors are nice. I hate that I had to come back and edit my initial review. But this low and immoral. During this time we need more compassion. Not money hungry business dealings.

Showed up for an appointment but they did not have anyone there. When the gentleman finally showed up we waited to be shown a place. In the mean time I got the chance to talk to the residents and two of them said the place was βshittyβ and the maintenance is so bad. Also was told they donβt keep up with the place. So thank you residents for letting us know.
The apartment itself is great and my AC and dishwasher issues were addressed pretty quickly. However, the customer service is pretty terrible. I recommend never emailing or leaving a voicemail because they WILL NOT get back to you. I always call over and over until they answer. Sometimes it takes 6 or 7 times before they answer.
New management, the grounds are nice. Worth taking a look at.
So to say the least... 2018 started off kind of rocky. After the holidays I returned to transition to a new unit and the move and support from the folks in the front office help streamline the process and helpful and I made my move within a week.The maintenance crew came through in the clutch and have been looking out for me ever since I moved here and continued to help me out and make my new spot feel like home again. Thanks you guys and looking forward to a great lease term. It can only get better from here.

My little family has loved ashford! Dee in the office is so friendly and always makes an effort to be sweet to our baby, means a lot! Thereβs been a few incidents where we have had to remind them a few times of repairs we needed but it wasnβt a big deal! We also love that security drives around at night... definitely makes us feel safe.

For my first apartment I really couldnt be any happier. The staff are extremely helpful and polite. I have never had any major issues like noise, or any thing breaking. From the moment I stepped in for a tour I have been blown away, not just by the affordability, but by the honest and hardworking staff. I waited three months to come to a final conclusion before doing any reviews, and again I think this is an amazing example of how an apartment staff can make the apartment.I should also mention that I have never had to wait more than a few days for a maintenance request. To be fair the only reason I had to wait at all was because it was a very minor thing and I made the request that Friday. They came out that next Monday. They are also super pet friendly. I was unsure how my kitten would do while I was at work with a stranger in the apartment so I caged her. I left a note for the maintenance worker to please please let her out of her prison once he was done. I was so happy to come home after work and see that he gladly did just that, and my furry little friend was happily greeting me at the door!
Love my apartment! I have the two bedroom loft so I dont have anyone in an apartment above me. Parking is easy and the location is great. Im near my work and close to shopping. Super easy to hop on the turnpike when I need to. The office staff is sweet and they really care about my comfort here. They just added a big dog park and renovated the clubhouse. Cant wait for the pool to open this summer!

The Apartments are great and furnished to standard. Great pool, beautiful and clean surrounding, a great place for Family. Nearby Schools for Kids and a lot of shopping centers at your tip; not to mention Italian and Chinese restaurant just few blocks away. The Staffs are great. I had a best Experience with Doretta when I was booking my lease, she will make you comfortable and she is a great assistance from my application to my settle in. One important thing with Ashford NW is that what you see is what you get, unlike other apartments that will show you heaven and give you a rat hole on the day of move in.

My move in experience was HORRENDOUS & it took OVER a month to fix *almost* everything that was wrong, that should have been taken care of before I moved in. My move in was scheduled for 3 pm, so I took off work early to get there. I show up & was told it would now be 6 or 6:30 because my apartment was not ready. This is after office hours mind you. I show up at 6 and had to wait outside for someone to come to the door, hoping they were actually still in there. I was taken to my apartment to see it before signing my lease to find the cleaners still in there with my apartment looking terrible. Against my better judgment I signed the lease due to me not having anywhere else to go, since I had to be out of my old apartment the day before.I finally was able to get into my apartment at 9PM!Here is a list of what wasnβt done that I had to deal with for 2 weeks-a month:-Bedrooms lights do not work(had to use a dark bedroom for 2-3 weeks)-carpet needs cleaned/replaced(had gum still stuck in it, sunflower seeds and Bobby pins on the carpet, extremely worn)-bathroom floor has paint all over it-cabinets need repainted-tub stopper missing-ice maker does not work-bedroom blinds do not work-toilet needs re-caulking(still had pee all over it)-I have no mailbox keyAll of this took over a month to be done & still nothing has been done about my carpets. I have been living with disgusting, worn carpets with gum still stuck in them that I have to walk around everyday.I went to pay my rent the first month and I was still being charged the renters insurance fee, which I had provided my own renters insurance TWICE.After the property manager finally responded to my multiple emails, phone calls, and voicemails she agreed to give me a $100 credit for my troubles. Which in my opinion is not enough for all I have had to deal with. Then I go to pay rent this month and it is not on my account, even though I have email confirmation from her that she added it.Aside from all of this:My downstairs neighbors blast their music every night loud enough for me to hear every single word & my floors and walls to shake. My windows are so thin I can hear every single conversation at the dog park. The grounds are never kept up and there are dog feces all over all the time.I could honestly go on & on. Just save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else to live.
I will say after reading a lot of these reviews I have to agree HOWEVER, around start of September things started changing. Work orders in my apartment started getting done in a good amount of time. My ac that had been out all summer was finally fixed. I know a new manager Stacey was hired and one or two new Maintanence people. I have talked to Stacey many times and she really made me feel like she cared and wanted to help. Everything she told me she did or called to let me know something had changed. I have seen a big change in the way the property looks and the attitudes in the office. I think Stacey has done a great job. The apartment was just bought and have new owners now. I was in the office last week and learned that she is now the regional. I hate sheβs gone but Iβm glad she still be around as a higher up manager now. I did get to talk to her and she had me meet the new manager Ben I think is his name. He seems really nice and I hope he keeps up what she started. I also really love Miss D, sheβs been here since I moved in a year ago and has always been so good.
Weβve been living here going on 4yrs now. Our Air conditioning in our apartment has been HORRIBLE! Their excuse is itβs because we live on the 2nd floor. Prior to living here we stayed on the 2nd floor in a different complex and had NO issues. We have a second apartment in Georgia currently and we live on the 2nd floor and we have NO issues there. Our air works just fine! I am TIRED of the excuses. Every single summer the maintenance team has to come out and try to fix the ac unit but all they do is a patch job to get us by until the next cold wave. Last summer we were lucky enough for them to bring us a window unit but that only lasted for a week. Anyway, if you like to stay hot and uncomfortable in the summer and wake up in pools of sweat, this is definitely the complex for you!
