Dinos visit was to perform our yearly plumbing inspection. As a note, Polar Express Heating and Air is also Austin Plumbing. Weve had Dino several times and hes always professional and explains things (service solutions, etc.) very clearly. His work is always done properly and he keeps us informed on the condition of our plumbing. We are working with Dino right now on replacing shower fixtures & internal parts in our Jack & Jill Baths upstairs. A few years ago, Austin replaced our Heating / Air Conditioner unit. Austin uses quality products and does good work.

Todd was very professional and straightforward. He arrived on time and was thorough in his evaluation and maintenance of our current units. It turns out we have some significant problems with our furnace and AC that were missed during the home inspection, which he clearly pointed out and explained for us. Todd and Polar Express were able to provide us with a couple of quotes for new units at the same time the service appointment took place. My husband and I made a decision and the Polar Express team was able to get us scheduled for an install in less than a week so we can finish out the summer without worrying about our AC crashing and well be prepared for the coming fall and winter months well in advance of an issue.Update: Troy and his team completed the install of our new furnace and AC today. Troy clearly loves his job and is very knowledgeable! He gave me a very thorough tutorial about my new systems which was greatly appreciated. The work was completed quickly and they left the basement and area outside around the new AC looking cleaner and neater than when they arrived. The house cooled off very quickly after install, so it seems like the new system is working like a charm. Polar Express also takes care of product registration and there are apparently some we Energies benefits/rebates they submitted for us that we didn’t even know were available. We have really appreciated the positive experiences!

Im very happy with the customer service at Polar Express.I was looking for somebody to inspect my central air unit. I gave them a call based on their reviews online. They accommodated me with a next day appointment even though I was slightly outside of their normal service area. I was unaware of this when I called (it says right on their website, but I just didnt catch it!), and was willing to find somebody else, but they insisted it wasnt a problem.Michael, the technician that came out, was personable and extremely thorough in inspecting my system. He went over all of the results, and we had a great discussion about what options I had and the cost-benefit ratio of each. At no point was I pressured into one decision or another.I would not hesitate to contact Polar again in the future (assuming they are willing to travel slightly out of their area again!)

The team at polar express was all about customer service. From our initial call to our technician arriving and working on our AC, they provided clear communication. Michael (the tech) is passionate and knowledgeable, and answered all of my questions as a first-time homeowner and explained the issues and possible solutions.

After a misdiagnosis from another company, we wanted a second opinion for a new HVAC. Michael found an easy-to-fix wiring issue that thankfully had not caused a fire yet!! With that fix and removing the overfilled refrigerant from the previous “fix” our A/C was up and working quickly! Fantastic, fantastic company and worker!!

Since we have always received such great service from them we knew exactly who to call when our AC quit working. From the first meeting I knew we had made the right call! This is a great company to work with! We were also thinking about adding another very expensive feature to the furnace & AC installation. After noticing that some of our basement dampers were closed (thanks to the previous owner) Todd, who gave us our quote, suggested holding off to see if the new AC & furnace would fix our air flow issues. I called Polar Express with no heat upstairs at 9:00 a.m. They were immediately responsive and scheduled a tech to come at noon on the same day. This was efficient, accommodating,friendly and much appreciated.The first tech, that I will not name, started with an up-sell pitch before he even looked at the furnace and I wasn’t thrilled with that.The furnace is older, and will need replacement but I didn’t want to be forced into making that decision if it could be repaired. The tech determined that a part needed replacing and told me it would be 3 days before the part would be in.The second tech, Todd came to do the install. Todd was thorough, explained things he thought I should know pointing out pros/cons and viable life in fixing my furnace vs. replacement. Afterward, he asked for future business. Todd and the office ladies both warrant 5 stars. Personable, accommodating and got the job done.I was charged for both a service call and an install fee on the part. This constitutes two service calls to me, but I had no heat. Polar express loses a star from the first tech who did not win my confidence, and the multiple visit/multiple service call- installation fee structure.The first tech’s $159 for 25 minutes tops leaves a lot to be desired. The only way I can justify that is that they did come immediately. Overall, I am satisfied and would work with Polar Express again. This is an honest review. They got the job done and we all need heat in this climate!

Been with them for 5 years. Thank you lord for putting Polar Express and Technician Todd on this planet for us to live to see another day. Todd found a cracked heat exchange during our routine annual inspection and tune up. We were at significant risk of CO2 exposure at any moment. Todd shut the unit down and had us in line to get an emergency replacement the next day before a polar vortex was set to hit the area. On top of that, Eric Smith and staff went out of their way to accommodate documentation to attempt to satisfy the needs of a greedy and stingy Home Warranty Company. Thank you for all your service!

Had April air installed. Todd was very professional and very knowledgeable, everything was cleaned and looked like it was done by a true pro. Todd went over my April Air unit afterwords thoroughly and took his time to answer my questions. They’re a touch more expensive then others but you get what you pay for and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my HVAC needs.

Deano was my technician and he came to do the yearly check of my water heater and plumbing. Deano was very kind, thorough, and took the time to explain everything to me and answered all my questions. I was immediately pleased that Mitch was knowledgeable about boilers and radiant heating AND was a licensed plumber. That’s essential for my situation, but hard to find these days. We had a lot to install and service with our older system and Mitch plumbed our new boiler, water heater, and system pumps together beautifully and made sure everything was well labeled and working properly. He also flushed and retreated the water in a special glycol circuit so we’d be ready for winter in our screen room. Before the install Mitch took the time to find a boiler that was compatible with the existing venting from our previous boiler, saving us the cost and hassle of running new venting through our finished basement.I’m very pleased with the work and will use Polar Express again.

So professional!I am a part of their ongoing program that services my AC. I woke up this morning and my house was 78 degrees, with the thermostat set to 68. Polar express was to my house by noon the same day and found that a mouse had eaten through a piece of my AC. Long story short, the tech had equipment he needed in his van and my unit was fixed (and cleaned) then and there. Best part, we got a discount on the new part because we are part of the annual program. A homeowner win today!

Todd was punctual, friendly, and experienced. He promptly and efficiently cleaned and inspected our heating unit. He also advised us about water heater issues. We had several questions and concerns and he addressed them all with professionalism. We were very pleased with his service.

The technician was courteous and helpful and did come before noon on a same day emergency call but the cost was quite high. I would never call them for anything but an emergency. Found it a bit of an overstep to put an Austin Plumbing sticker on the new water heater that I installed myself. They are already on my don’t call if I can avoid it list due to high prices charged. I have to believe that there are more affordable options out there.

Our new furnace is the third item we have purchased from Polar Express! (water heater and air conditioner) So at this point I expect a good product as a given! Beyond that our installer Troy is fantastic at what he does! Great personality and VERY knowledgeable. We had many a laugh together (while he was WORKING, boss! HA!) Remember the old axiom folks: you get what you pay for!!
