Great service every year. This visit, the technician came for A/C service, but noticed hot water heater was leaking. He went out of his way to assist finding a plumber and ensuring all the details for the unit were communicated. So great full for his help!

Brian and his assistant Tony came and did a THOROUGH eval of our system, cleaned everything and recharged the geothermal lines. Needed some quick action to move an existing AC unit before a home sale, in the middle of winter, the day after a snow storm. Tough request, but the work was done the day after the storm, and for a fair price. Excellent service. Lake Country Heating and Cooling installed the furnace and air conditioner at the condo I purchased. Both have been basically trouble free for 15 years.Today, Brian (technician) was prompt, polite, and informative. He took the time to help me re-program my furnace thermostat and explained the condition of my furnace clearly and thoroughly. The Universal Savings Agreement was explained, but there was no pressure to sign up for it although the plan was too good to resist. When calling to make my appointment I was given some things to try to get my furnace on track until the repairman could come out. Very pleased with this company.

Told me furnace was fried and need a new one, when I only needed a $50 part. Can you say Fraud!!!!! Furnace went out on a Saturday. Tech came and went through the furnace and said our switch went out and the heat exchanger was cooked. They dont do heat exchangers on weekends, and he recommended at this point we should replace furnace. He said he would contact his shop to get us in on monday! Then charged $170 and left! I decide to get 2nd quote after I read his write up for the work that said owner wants a new furnace, 2nd guy come out to look, takes 6 minutes he fixes switch. Nothing wrong with heat exchanger.

We wanted an AprilAire 600 home humidifier. On the first scheduled install day they brought the wrong humidifier. We rescheduled the install for 4 days later. They arrived promptly and installed the correct humidifier. I will consider Lake Country for future HVAC work.

I had a loud noise in my furnace and called to have it checked out. They came within a few hours, installed a new motor.

My rating of outstanding is provisional at the moment (July 22, 2016). We had a new Bryant A/C unit installed the end of Aug. 2014, along with all new copper tubing, evaporative coil, and blower motor. I have been blessed or cursed with a home that has dual zone heating and cooling, so I have TWO furnaces and TWO central A/C units. Yesterday, temps hit 92 degrees in the greater Milwaukee area, with high humidity. My indoor temp was 82, at least 6 degrees higher than usual, so I thought something was up. I couldnt feel any air coming out of the vents, even though the A/C unit was humming along outside. It seemed to get hotter in the house and I called Lake Country for emergency service. I am older and have allergy and cardiac issues. Couldnt use the kitchen area of the house due to the heat and decided to pay the emergency rate. Ben came over to check the system out and found the evaporative coil was iced up. Cause of that can be too little air flow into the chamber, or a freon leak. He couldnt do anything until the ice thawed, so the system was shut down and the fan was left on. Ice thawed several hours later. Ben returned this morning and found the freon in the A/C unit was down around 2.5 pounds. He checked the lines and didnt see anything suggesting a leak and he believes the evaporative coil is the culprit and needs replacing. The part is on order and well have to be rescheduled in the service queue once it comes in. In an attempt to tide us over until the part comes in, Ben added freon to the A/C unit and hoped it was a slow leak, so wed have air conditioning until the new evaporative coil is installed. Thus, my provisional rating......were not fully fixed, but were also not dead in the water. 3 hours after Ben refilled the freon, temp in the kitchen area is down 5 degrees and far more bearable than it was yesterday. With the midwest under a heat dome, I was very impressed that a service person got to me at all, much less same day.

My furnace quit working. Lake Country had a man out within an hour. He diagnosed the problem immediately, picked up the part and had me up and running within 2 hours. I would recommend Lake Country to my friends.

Unimpressed is an understatement, Id give them 0 stars if I could. We spent almost $17,000 with Lake Country for a top of the line system when we built our house nine years ago and have had problems with them from day one. In fact, Im still dealing with their mistakes almost a decade later. Some highlights include an improperly installed bathroom fan duct that is now leaking condensation water down into the bathroom below and a terribly unbalanced forced air distribution/duct system that leaves one half of the house cold and the other half too hot. General workmanship was just sloppy as well with very little pride.When asked to correct the first issue, their solution for balancing my ductwork was to install an inline blower fan on one side of the house. This seemed to work for a while but when the fan was noticed by the local building inspector as part of an inspection for a basement renovation project - he told me that it had been wired completely illegally and that it would have to be removed immediately. Lake Country gave me a hard time when notified of this and then subsequently charged me a service call to come out and remove their illegal, substandard, not to code solution. Nice huh?After that incident, I decided I didnt want these guys anywhere near my house again and started using another HVAC contractor for regular maintenance. I felt so strongly about never using them again that I paid extra to use another contractor when the evaporator coil needed to be replaced under warranty last year.The other big issue we had is that the bathroom duct work they installed was improperly routed (per the fan manufacturers instructions) and is now leaking condensation down below. We have had this issue for about 5 years and mistakenly thought it was an ice damming issue. After wasting $$ and having roofers work on the the area several times, it was determined that the leaking is not a roof issue but is instead being caused by Lake Countrys improper ductwork installation.Even though I was pretty sure that they were going to tell me to go pound sand, I decided to give Lake Country one more opportunity to do the right thing and finally stand behind their work by fixing the bathroom fan ducting that they messed up. So, being a glutton for punishment, I picked up the phone and spoke to Wade who, as expected, told me to pound sand and that it was my problem now.Bottom line, buyer beware. These guys do not stand behind their work and you will not get help if you have problems down the line. I dont take pleasure in publicly bashing a small businesses but in this case, Id be complicit if I didnt warn other people of my experiences. There are plenty of other HVAC contractors in the area who would love your business, Id recommend trying one of them instead.Update, Wade - go f@#* yourself - I had a reputable HVAC contractor here and they fixed all your mistakes in about two hours. I wouldnt use you guys to work on a dog house.
