Horrible program, complete cash cow. Not to mention getting ahold of them on the phone is harder then getting into Fort Knox. Don’t even bother calling them, they won’t answer.
Dont let these Marxist ideologues dehumanize you. I strongly suggest checking out the ear for men YouTube channel to get a better perspective on things. Dont listen to Bob, listen to Paul Elam, his advice and knowledge just might save your life. I also recommend looking up Duluth, Feminist Brainwashing & The Ideological Subversion of Society. Im glad that I didnt let Bob and Mona Davis, and their acolytes, prevent me from recovering from my ex boyfriends half decade of abuse against me. Dont listen to their excuses.
I was forced to go through a drug assessment program for infrequent off campus marijuana use mandated by my school (a private catholic school of course) at P.A.T.S. and wow was it a waste of money. This programs mind set is drug use automatically equals drug abuse which is exactly how they treated my case. Its quite sad that in 2015, people and professional businesses still consider cannabis a dangerous drug. I started off my session by waiting in line next to two crackheads to preform a urine test and a Breathalyzer test (as if I were going to show up to a drug and alcohol assessment drunk...). Of course, I passed both and it was on to the next phase of tons of questions. After about 3 hours of answering bullshit questions verbally and on paper my session was finally over. Of course because of how inefficient the business truly is, I got my official report back about 4 months later. Their final conclusion or lack there of, was that I have mild cannabis use disorder which is the most ridiculous term on the planet mainly because what would be considered mild alcohol use disorder would be referred to as responsible drinking but of course if a drug is illegal, its automatically dangerous, no questions asked, trust your government and legal intoxicants like alcohol and tobacco are completely safe so indulge to your hearts content! I payed over $100 to have puritan essentially tell me you dont have a problem with drugs at all but we would love to have your parents send you back and pay to have you drug tested as often as possible. Companies like this are harmful to our society and individuals in telling them they have drug problems that require treatment when they dont really have problems to begin with. The best part of this whole situation was showing my report to my psychotherapist and him laughing at the report on how ridiculous it was as well as circling and marking all the mistakes this professional had made in his official report. I strongly discourage the use of this business due to the fact that theres not much business being conducted. Save your money and educate yourself on what you put into your body, dont just listen to what government funded adds and programs tell you because theres always more helpful information out there that isnt completely biased.
I am very thankful to this organization.Steve S is a great therapist.I was in such a deep place and although all of the answers can be found within me, I needed help seeing that path. The therapy at PATS has been paramount in my recovery and I dont think I would have made it without their help.5 stars
The individuals that have been helpful are great listeners ready to offer assistance that have been able to support me in my different problems.
I will have to say I am volunatrily at PATS right now and I wish I would have met Steve S years ago. He was the best counselor I had and im finishing with Sam and she is amazing! The knowledge and support has been great and they are a vital tool in my recovery right now!
I needed an alcohol assessment to get my license reinstated. I chose to go to PATS. This was in 2012. They originally did a great job.I returned in 2013 for another assessment. My lawyer reviews the assessments for accuracy, dates, and details. She is amazing and overly thorough to a fault actually. Following some hiccups and corrections they needed to make because of errors and mistakes THEY made on the assessment and drug screen we were able to compile a correct assessment. After I must add that the owners wife Mona Davis sits across a table from me telling me RUDELY over and over again that THEY do these all the time and THEY know what the state requires. After she make some phone call she admits THEY were mistaken and my lawyer was in fact correct. No apology ever given to my lawyer or myself...I returned in 2015 for another assessment because they already knew my history and have given me positive assessments. I didnt want to start all over new... (This time the substance abuse therapist is obviously just using one of the previous assessments and making minor tweaks to it.)However he is leaving in outdated and inaccurate information from the previous incorrect assessments. When my lawyer returns the assessment to me with the needed corrections listed I emailed it to PATS and requested the edits. The owner Bob Davis immediately replies to me and says they will not be making any further edits or corrections. He again tells me that THEY have done dozens of assessments that the state had accepted. He tells me he will refund my money and I can go somewhere else... I never asked for them to alter their diagnosis or assessment results. I only ever asked them to fix dates, and inaccurate information that THEY screwed up.I did get my refund and I did go somewhere else. It was cheaper and was much more thorough and professional. This whole situation with PATS cost me months of time and wasted energy going round and round with them. The place is genuinely a hole in the wall. I would never recommend someone to go there.
Workers are vulgar and rude I never heard such vulgar talk in a professional environment in my life i had to walk out multiple times because of the profanity worst experience EVER so glad I dont have to go back there again and if you have to go there i strongly recommend leaving your children at home it is not a good environment to bring children into..... the only pEpson not being vulgar was Amanda Lewis so this is her star
