Ive used this pinch a Penny for about 2 and 1/2 years and because of my daughters daycare being out of the way I had to try somewhere else and I tried Leslies.. they used a machine to test the water versus doing it manually and came up with outrageous numbers and had been leaving the store with about $70 worth of chemicals, feeling unsure I took my water the next day to pinch a Penny and then confirmed my suspicions that Leslies water testing machine didnt work for s***. Had I put the chemicals in that they gave me it would have thrown my pool completely out of whack. Always great prices, great customer care and detailed explanation as to why I need to use what they suggest.

They are the best. Courteous, professional and friendly. Bought a part for my pool skimmer, and the sales lady offered to put it on for me. She was conversant and efficient at the same time. I was in and out. Their service was exceptional. Highly recommend them for all your pool services.

Great service and wonderful people to do business with. Whether having pool water tested or buying a pool heater, we have been treated with the same friendliness, courtesy and respect. They are very knowledgable and helpful (and very patient with us oldsters, too). They have installed a pool rail and heat/cool pump fot us and their water analysis system is excellent. We are really impressed with their competence, honesty and professionalism.

Absolutely love their prices and customer services! I used to go to Leslie’s pool supply before but Maureen and her husband are absolutely amazing, honest, and delightful. Better deals for pool equipments as well. Scheduled a pool heater installation with them. Will update review when it’s done.

Friendly and professional. I dont drop in here near enough and have gotten in the (bad) habit of picking up pool supplies at the big box stores. Stopped in yesterday with a water sample for analysis after tearing my hair out for a couple of weeks about my water chemistry. Good customer service can be hard to find nowadays (Im a small business owner myself), but not here! The folks ran my water sample right away and gave me not only the numbers, but detailed, and rather extensive, explanations and a game plan. Bought some supplies and went to attack the pool. I am done buying stuff from the big box guys.

We have tried several pool companies and the North Port Pinch A Penny is the best. The service and advice have kept our pool in swimming conditions all year long. I do not often leave Goolge reviews but, this company deserves the attention. If you want to care for your own pool or have them do it, THEY ARE THE BEST.

I really dont understand the review regarding poor customer service. I ended up visiting this store after spending a lot of money at another well known pool supply store. When I compared their prices they beat the other store hands down. In addition to much better prices, they could not have been nicer. This is a true family business and I have met most of the family. They are all great. Better yet, they want their customers to have a great pool. After my pool was built, the pool company gave me a short pool school which was sorely lacking to say the least. I had never owned a pool before but I was determined to learn. Kevin, the owner of N.P. Pinch a Penny actually came out to my house at no charge and gave me a much better pool school. I think this is unprecedented customer service and this alone made me a loyal customer. They are also very knowledgeable. After several weeks of frustration because my pool was not making chlorine, Bridget was able to ascertain that the pool company had installed the wrong salt/chlorine generator! I dont believe any other pool supply store or pool service would have been able to catch this as quickly as she did. They worked with me and convinced my pool company they had installed the wrong part. The whole family goes the extra mile every time I walk in. From great water chemistry to plumbing issues, they do it all. How could you ask for more? Sure, you could go to Walmart for some pool supplies but Pinch a Penny prices arent much more and you could never replace the expertise these folks have. This location in North Port is only about making money. They have no customer service skills. For the extra penny I highly recommend going to the Port Charlotte location were they are friendly, educated on on what they sell and customer service is their number one priority.
