I was under the impression that if you visit a business enough you would be recognized and appreciated. Apparently Sparkle Brite proved me wrong today. Ive been going into Sparkle Bright every week to 10 days for about 5 years to get pool supplies and equipment. I went in today to get supplies and since we were leaving the area in the next few weeks I inquired about getting my deposit back on the two yellow chlorine jugs Ive been swapping out for the last 5 years. I was asked by D (as he signed my water test receipt) if I had my receipt for my deposit. I dont have a receipt because I was never given one 5 years ago when Wayne took my money. If I did I would have kept it. I asked if it made a difference that the jugs had Sparkle Bright stickers on them and D told me it made no difference because people bring in jugs from other pool stores and try to get money. Seriously? I go in there all the time to exchange chlorine jugs and get other supplies, and now D compares me to someone who goes from doctor to doctor trying to get pain medicine prescriptions. Like I have some strategic plan to scam them out of their savings. I told D I might as well just throw the jugs in the recycle he said yeah OK. This is what I get for my years of patronage at Sparkle Brite. I should have known, and you should know. You got me D, good for you. Be proud. There is nothing special about this place. They just want your money. Thanks for that guys.

If I could give them more stars, I would. Patrick is a straight shooter and all his guys are helpful and knowledgeable. They never try to up-sell you by telling you that you need more than you do. They go above and beyond to help us little guys who take care of our own pools. Good job guys!

Sparkle Brite is one of the best pool companies I know of. I personally know the owner and I’m not saying this because of my relationship with him - I’m a honest reviewer and I know who Patrick is and he is one of the people I can count on one hand that I’d trust their opinion, their honesty and integrity.I’m not sure who would review them 1 star. I know as a business owner I have had a rough year with COVID-19, but at end of the day I know Patrick and he is like I am and we would do ANYTHING we can to make a customer happy. There are miss communications at times or we all make mistakes.I’m reviewing some due to Patricks integrity and who he is as at end of the day I trust he does the right thing by the customer.... I’m also reviewing mainly as a customer. As I said in other review to the other Sparkle Brite store in North Port as I shopped there more, the few times I’ve came to this store #2 - my experience has been great and again, honest results to water testing, good pool service and amazing priced Chlorine. They have all common parts for pool cleaners and other common pool parts. They are really the ‘everything pool store’ as I know if they don’t have something they can get it in a day.I can say with 100% honesty that if I lived in North Port. I’d shop here without a doubt as I DID shop there the 8+ years I’ve lived in North Port. I now live in Sarasota, FL which is the ONLY reason I don’t shop there.Keep up the amazing work!

SparkleBrite does not handle anything that occurs above the waterline. In my case I had (first time ever in 5 years) green mold growing in the corners of my pool obviously where water hits it when you swim. I had no idea it would be such a big deal nor did I ever imagine I’d be told to fix it myself. I’ve never heard of such a thing. They offered for ME to PAY 30 bucks more to have the gold plan (I had the silver at 100 a month, which is the typical cost of a pool company that takes care of everything including the company I just hired who fixed the problem in 6 minutes without getting in the pool). Seems short sighted to me to lose a customer over this but they didn’t seem to care. Salt ran high for a long time in dry months as well 5000ppm) which was bizarre to me. They tried to say that because I was filling with my hose the salt was high but my hose water comes directly from my well and doesn’t go through my softener so I was pretty confused because that never happened to me either in all the years I’ve had my pool. I am the type of person to stay with a company forever and I’m promised by new pool company that I’ve found my forever home with them. I sure hope so. How hard is it to just do the right thing by your clients? For 100 bucks a month I shouldn’t have to do anything to my pool but swim in it. If that monthly is a bargain then I’ve always had a bargain and I’ve got one again. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Returned chlorine container today and was told by an employee who kept calling me “chief” that I needed a receipt otherwise I would only receive partial deposit. I told them I didn’t have it and just received my partial deposit. It’s too bad for this company who is described as a family friendly business to loose our business over a few dollars. After our experience I will not recommend any of our real estate clients to this company. I always like to support local businesses since living in this area for the last 15 years.

Patrick is great.Always tells u the truth. Never sells you something that you dont need.Many times He has taken time to put me in the right direction. If I didnt do it right he send a truck over with a tech to see what I did wrong and right it at no costUnbelievable in todays world.

Get my pool tested here weekly. Best pool place around and they dont sell you stuff you dont need. Everyone working there is always knowledgable and friendly. Anyone who needs there pool tested should go here.

Hired to clean my pool while we were moving/adjusting. 6 months later, my son was home and said the guy showed up, scrubbed one set of tiles and left. The pool pump was sucking air and they said it would be 5 days or so before they got there. So I called Howard Pools and discovered my pool pump needed new seals, they had cracked my chemical dispenser and decided to just throw chlorine in the skimmer, the filter had never been cleaned, the diverter valve was broken, the filter lid was cracked (Sparkle Brite had replaced the gauge), and this was after Sparkle Brite had been out for their initial checkup and Pool School. $600 lesson, but one Im glad I learned before it was even more. Howard fixed everything for under $200 and I wont go back. Sparkle Brite didnt do anything they said they would.
