This is the worst service provider we have ever seen. They are totally unreliable either because they don’t have a sufficient number of technicians, or are just poorly managed. We have waited over one month with 4 separate “scheduled” appointments, including today only to be told after a 3 hour wait their technician couldn’t make it and the earliest they could reschedule us was TWO WEEKS from today. We are completely dissatisfied and would recommend customers use a different service company. We are doing so.
Very efficient, knowledgeable and neat. Very pleased with results.
The Kenmore water heater was repaired by ABC Plumbing, not by Sears. They could not repair it on Saturday because they had to wait til Monday to pick up a part. They fixed it on Monday. The part was under warranty. It works fine now.
Horrible service. Wouldn’t work on my oven. Asked to repair and would pay whatever. Said they wouldn’t fix it cause I might say they broke something. Go with a local company. Sears is horrible.
Repair guy was great no complaints with him as he was very helpful and nice. My issue is my dishwasher was less than 2 years old and could NOT be repaired and I was informed I needed to my a new one! Definitely the last Kenmore I will ever get!
Great service. Technician knew how to repair my locked range.
Worker arrived within timeframe, was professional but did not resolve the issue. Dryer was not heating/drying clothes, he replaced the fuse but should have also replaced the heating element. Clothes still do not dry as they should.
First off, I am grateful for the years of service and satisfaction from Sears and all its departments. It is difficult to say if the closing of Sears at golf mill will affect the area in a bad/good way - since theres no way to know what will be filling the vacancies. Hope remains that golf mill will find a good (or better) tenant and that this place stays open and becomes vibrant. Good luck to all 😊
Unfortunately, I have to give them one star. Please do not trust the positive reviews. I booked this appointment online, fully expecting to pay the $79 service charge and to find out the problem with my washer. Rather than telling me the diagnosis, the technician made the repair without informing me of the problem and added another $90 to my bill. If he would have informed me, I would have declined because the problem was simple (he fixed it in less than 5 minutes including the time it took for him to run to his car and get his screw driver). I have been trying to talk with Sears about this situation, but so far they said they will not refund the $90.00 charge. I was surprised and disappointed by this, especially coming from Sears. Dont trust this service. The repair technician was nice which now I can see translated into swindler. He played ignorant when I told him the $90 charge was not appropriate and told me customer service would be able to help me. He was just lying to get out the door. Unless I am compensated and taken seriously, I will not use them again and would never recommend them. And I should mention I am not the kind of customer who complains if the service is good, fair, and thorough.
My experience with this repair was mixed. The repair man was courteous and on time. But the first problem happened when he noticed that there was a missing gasket on the hose from the propane tank to the grill. When I asked him if he had a replacement he said, well, no. So I asked why not, and he said that he didnt carry Weber grill parts with him. Then when we finally figure out the problem, he looked up the model number of the grill, and he cant even order the part (which was just the hose going from the tank to the grill -- what simpler part could you even ask to have on hand for repairs, if you in fact, do repair this brand of grill?!). So he cant help me. He suggested that we look up the model number and try to order the part directly from Weber and replace it ourselves. So (and I knew that the diagnosis would cost me $99), we ended up paying a hundred dollars for something that he couldnt even fix if he wanted to. Why would you advertise on your website that you service Weber Grills if you dont?! This is even more difficult to write this negative review, because I used to work for Sears, IN THEIR IN-HOME REPAIR training group, no less! I know how their parts ordering technology works, and if he could have ordered the part, he would have. This is not a slight against the repair man at all. But if you cant repair Weber Grills, DONT ADVERTISE THAT YOU CAN. There was no way that the repairman was going to be able to fix it, and yet Sears sent him out, and now Im out $100 and my grill is still not working.
Service was performed on Friday two days later than scheduled. Repair man was excellent.
Service tech came and removed panel from dishwasher door and while he was screwing panel back in he told there is good news and bad news, The good news was that a wire became disconnected and the bad news was it cost $250.00 for repair because he connected wire (total time 15 - 20 minutes). He then told me instead of paying $250.00 for repair he would check and clean other appliances for $249.00 which he did. He made a show of vacuuming blower tube on clothes dryer, ran a short cycle on washing machine, vacuumed under refrigerator and turned range burner on, everything was good and and its my opinion what he did wasnt necessary just a reason for additional charge.I will never use Sears Appliance Repair again.
I paid but issue wasnt resolved
Overall this was a very disappointing experience. First, when making the appointment, the person I spoke to was not very knowledgeable and it took a long time to complete scheduling the appointment. Secondly, day day of the appointment, the repair man called first and told me again about the price of the appointment and asked if I still wanted him to come and then seemed annoyed when I said yes. When he arrived her diagnosed the problem he told me what the issue was. I explained that we ordered the part, but it was not there yet. He said he could not use that part, even after I told him that it was from Sears, and we were told to order it when making the appointment It was a very frustrating experience.
Price when I made appt by phone. Service man arrived and quoted different price & said he could not accept coupon downloaded from Sears site. When it came time to pay he quoted yet another price & then that changed when he said he would take the coupon. We finally agreed that Sears would send a bill. 20 min after leaving, as I was calling Sears customer service, the serviceman returned with yet another price (the lowest quoted) & I paid by check. The work was fine but the hassle around payment was ridiculous!
Repairs on our dryer were completed as scheduled to our satisfaction. However, we were not notified he was on his way and were unprepared when he arrived, having been given a large four-hour window. Diagnostic fee was not included in the repair, as had been promised. The fees for diagnostic, labor and parts was way more than I expected, considering the inexpensive part that was easily replaced. Bottom line is service was good, but pricing will make me look elsewhere next time.
Wilson was my tech. Knew what the problem was immediately. Took the whole dryer apart, replaced the motor, and fixed everything in under an hour. The insurance you buy from Sears is worth gold! Was very pleased with the service and he came at the beginning of his time slot. Amazing!
We had to have 2 technicians come out. Nabil, the second, was fantastic and actually repaired our dryer after thoroughly investigating the problem and trying 4-5 different things until he determined that we needed a new igniter. He was supposed to only be installing a timer switch that was ordered. When that did not work he stayed until he resolved the problem as I mentioned. I would give him 5 stars. The first tech incorrectly diagnosed the problem which resulted in us having to pay extra money and wait an extra week for the timing switch, which we didn’t need and did not fix the problem.
Just had my dryer serviced by Sears. The Service guy was very good. Came out on time and cleaned up after he repaired the dryer. Very good experience. Would recommend Sears for any appliance repairs.
Alex was very thorough in examining my snowthrower and getting it back in shape.
Quick resolution to the problem. He also gave me so tips on how to avoid this problem in the future.
Service person was very nice and seemed knowledgeable, my fridge was not fixed because he did not have the part on the truck. From all of the googling I did, this is the part that is most likely to fail so it seems to me it should be a standard item to be kept in stock on the truck. Also, having the part shipped to me and then having to schedule another service call is beyond inconvenient!
He was great! It ended up being a relatively quick fix - but he was very professional - explained what was wrong - and what we needed to do in order for it not to stop working again... all while fixing it during that time. Thank you!
The technician came in figured out what the problem was, he then told me he would try to get the parts, and hed be back to repair it later on that day if the parts were available. Doorbell rang parts were dropped off, about an hour later the technician came back and repaired it. It was a big job, and he came through... So far so good! The technician definitely did a great job.
There were no hassles setting up a service request. I received multiple reminders, using email and telephone, about the appointment. The technician was top notch and was able to quickly fix my dryer.
It took 3 days short of the month of October for Sears to repair our refrigerator. Two weeks to make a service call to our residence and two more weeks to get a part and back to our residence to repair the refrigerator
I was able to get my range repaired one day after I called for an appointment. The repairman was quick, answered my questions, and gave me some cleaning points.Great experience.
So heres what I know. I grew up looking through the Sear catalog, love this place for all of my appliance needs. I inherited a washer/dryer and needed the washing machine serviced....I was taken back by the total price to replace the switch that the lid catches...$240+ I think the part might be 20 bucks - so you do the math, even if its 50. just saying. It took 2 weeks for them to get me in...meh. The operator did the usual upsell of asking do I want my dryer serviced for $44 more, sure why not. That was useful, running much more efficient. However, you know when something goes wrong with the appliance after the service and you question if something happened during the first service call...thats where I am right now. The fella that came out, very friendly, very polite, I cant say that he would do something on purpose...and something has gone awry. Ill still call them back out of loyalty...>sigh< and it is a very, very old machine. so thats my 2 cents. peace
The problem was water dripping over all the food in the freezer and then freezing so that I cannot remove any food items or pull open the storage drawers. The service person was scheduled between 1-5pm. He showed up at 8pm. He said that the problem was beyond his ability and that someone with more knowledge would have to come. He said he would report it. I received no call back. I had to call in and reschedule an appointment with a higher level technician. They are coming today (hopefully). The second service person ordered a bunch of parts and scheduled another service appointment. The third service person who arrived said that none of the parts ordered were necessary, the drain was blocked and required clearing. He cleared the drain and it seems to have solved the problem, however I reserve judgement on this issue. I think the first two repair persons were simply too lazy to open the back of the refrigerator and check the drain. I am not impressed with your service.
I have had an on-going issue with my washing machine. The technician who came was not helpful. He appeared to be in a rush to leave. He offered a very generic resolution that did not help resolve the issue with out washing machine. I will never be doing business with Sears ever again due to this poor customer experience.
Really good technicians. Did a great job. Helped with info on warranty options.
The tech was very courteous & cleaned up after himself
A+ on all points. Fixing my appliance was not cheap but way less expensive than replacing it and the techs couldn’t have been better.
The tech was a Sears employee. He definitely did a very professional job, and was much better than when Sears uses a 3rd party contractor.
We are very satisfied with our repair and our technician was so informative and personable. Keep up the good work!
The repair went well, however, I have made 3 requests for a receipt of payment and have been unsuccessful. I am a property manager and paid for the repair over the phone. The technician promised to send a receipt to my email and did not. I have now called Sears customer service twice and have not received my receipt. The technician was great, but customer service is very unprofessional.
When I made the appointment it said I would receive 20% off if I booked it online. I have a 16 month old Kenmore Smart wash dishwasher. The top rack was stuck, SAME PROBLEM I had with it a year ago!!!He fixed it fine, but couldnt explain why it happened. He a k so didnt give me the discount!I called when I realized it, spent 29 minutes on the phone waiting to talk to a manager. They said s h with would call me back the next day, they didnt.I am so unhappy that the s as me repair had to be made twice, and that they didnt honor the online 20% off!!!!
The Technician was prompt and was able to diagnose immediately what was wrong with the dryer and he fixed it very quickly. Very courteous young man
Work has been completed to my complete satisfaction -- as always, Sears came through. Thanks so much!
Excellent and timely service. They found and fixed the problem efficiently. Only glitch was repair part did not come when initially expected, but customer service straightened it out and rescheduled the installation.
Very friendly, polite and knowledgeable technician. As much as do not like the appliance I like the service. I will buy the next dishwasher in Sears just because of your service.
First class experience. No hassles, no complicated process. Everything was in order and I was impressed, to say the least!
Repair was done properly. Tech Mansoor did good job for repair & cleaning. Keep the good work.
The technician had no clue what he was doing. Right after he got here he was on the phone with someone. Without running any diagnostics he gave me outrageous estimate telling me what all needed to be replaced. The amount was twice the amount of a buying a new washer.I really would like my $89 for his visit to be refunded.
The sears technician was great. they were on time and quick with repairs. im glad i bought every single warranty offered by sears.
Ive always been very happy with Sears repair services, but from the moment I answered the door at about 8:30am this time, the service tech clearly had an attitude. He was out to prove me wrong and make me feel stupid.
The serviceman was early- the time frame was 2-7pm. Arrived at 3pm.Congenial, explained what he was doing, completed the job in 30 minutes.Well done.Thansk
Repair man was knowledgeable and efficientItem was beyond repair and replaced with new model at no cost to me.
Everything went fine. Serviceman was very knowledgeable and problem was rectified.
Once we finally coordinated the time frame for service, the repair went smoothly.
The technician was wonderful. Worked quickly and efficiently.
The service man arrived on time and quickly diagnosed our problem he replaced faulty parts and was on his way. The repair man was very pleasant and very knowledgeable a Credit to Sears.
The tech that came to our house was great! He serviced the ac unit and got it back up and running quickly :)!
Initially scheduled repair on a Thursday, for service to dishwasher on that next day, Friday afternoon. Received AN EMAIL on that same Friday afternoon, rescheduling for Tuesday! Not even the co0utesy of a call. Waited around all day that Friday! Actual service repair was great, but, scheduling not dependable at all!
The technician was on time. He was professional and polite. He answered all my questions.
It was on tim, good work, cleaned after himself. Very pleased.
The service man showed up late by 6 hours. He dismantled the ice maker and put it back upside down and told us it cycles ok and nothing he could do. The last person who came a week earlier said a part was to be replaced this week and he himself rescheduled for him to come back. Instead this man showed up. This new serviceman told me it would be very slow or stop making ice some yimrs and may take 2 to 3 weeks to make ice, but there was NOTHING he could do and LEFT. Whats you going on?
If you are referencing my Amana refridg; ABTperformedthe same service for less $$$$. If you are referencingmy Maytag washing machine, I needed to purchasea new one. I did not get credit for the service call onthe new machine I purchased from you. I could havesaved almost $300 if I used ABT for service and purchase.Still, lets hope Eddie can save Sears.
Punctual and very professional, the tech figured out the problem, ordered the part which arrived a few days later, and he came back to install it! We are happy! Thank you Sears Appliance Repair!!
Excellent service. Knowledgeable and extremely helpful.
Snow thrower is now working fine.rj
The repair person did a great job working on our water heater.
Great service. only downfall is availability of technicians.
Very Good, very good service, tank you very much, the service man the best.
Repairman out 3 times! finally got both needed parts. Door still doesnt close as easily as before! Repairman says it is new and will require some more use to wear in the parts. So far Im still not satisfied!!!
On time, polite, professional and FIXED THE PROBLEM!!!!!!
DID great job thanks
Very Good !The Repair man was Excellent !
The technician was very professional and quickly resolved the problem
I called in the phone and spoke someone named Juan he was very unprofessional and seemed like he didnt Know what was going on then hung up on me when I asked for the manager.
Repairman came and looked at my Sub Zero frige, told me to call authorized dealer, didnt charge me for the trip. The previous local repair man I called charged me just for showing up, but the repair guy that Sears sent didnt.
The appliance customer service rep refuse service me and I lost a 700 dollar sale. Do not bother with this Sears.
This was the 4th service call and my dishwasher still does not work.No one will provide me with a managers or supervisors phone number in order for me to get to the bottom of can can be done. This has been going on since July 2017 until now.I gave a one star because all four technicians did arrive as scheduled.
Showed up early and microwave was promptly fixed
Technician was very good and clean he came on time and fixed the problem with efficiency.
Called first on time explained what repairing and repaired
Repairman was polite and efficient, the problem was fixed same day.
Hopefully after the 2nd attempt to fix my refrigerator problem it may get resolved.
The refrigerator continues to make the same horrible noise....need to call again 😡
Far exceeded expectations.
Very professional and speedy.

The repair was done well, but the cost was very high.
