Ask for Tony he does GREAT WORK. HOWEVER if your paying for service rendered DO NOT use a Credit or Debit card as they have a 4% add on fee to your original price. So my advice is to go there with CASH and their prices are a bit expensive BUT you get what you pay for.

They Automatically get 5 stars. I looooove Rosa! She does my pedicure and has been for at least 10 yrs. She is a pleasure to work with. I can honestly say I have not been serviced by anyone else but there are a few that have regular clients that sing their praise as well. So try it out for yourself self and see if it works for you.

Please note: this salon does not cater to regular non-gel manicures. I gave 1 star because 0 wasnt an option. I used to use their manicure services consistently a fear years ago, I stopped because they had unprofessional practices- although the technician was very sweet. I tried them again recently and was QUICKLY reminded why I stopped going over 4 years ago. Please note: I had a refill done with non-gel nail polish. After the polish was applied I was told they have no fans (due to COVID) to dry the polish and was advised to be careful while leaving with wet nails - UTTERLY RIDICULOUS. Much like years ago - they consistently try to tell you what service to get, the pricey menu items, instead of the service you stated you came for. I could go on about the terrible full set service they did 2 weeks before the re-fill (one of the short tips broke off within 2 hours of them doing the full set!) It was so bad, the tech doing the refill asked who did my full set - I reminded her it was done by one of her peers. Trust me, save yourself the trouble and aggravation and avoid this place.

Destroyed my nails. They dont soak your nails off. They crack them off and continue to file ur nail bed down. No matter how much I paid my cuticles werent cut and my nails almost consistently broke 2 to 3 days later. I think the powder is cut. My new salon says I have to wait for my nails to grow back. No soaking them off nothing. I work in a business professional environment. I have to hide my nails from all the damage they inflicted on them. They also think no one else speaks Vietnamese. I have learned a few words & I have heard them say horrible things about the women(African-American) that come in there.

Even though the area isnt ideal for me but the look of this nail salon is spacious, clean and organized. They get a lot of business so your best bet is to make an appointment like I did. When I came in there were people sitting waiting for the next available technician. Because I had an appointment obviously I was seated with who I was scheduled with. The technician who did my nails was so gentle and did not hurt me. That is a pet peeve of mine. Not once was I hurt and if I asked him for something he did it instead of protesting that I should because it was too much work. Every time I wanted something he let me know the pricing instead of doing it and then surprising me at the end. I also had a lady the next time I went and she was just as pleasant. They will talk to you as if you are their friend from back in the day.I personally havent had a pedicure there but I will soon. My friend did and they were clean, she also was not hurt and they didnt do a rush job. Before she sat down the technician cleaned everything before and after. Her toes came out great and she also got a gel manicure to match.I would recommend this salon to anyone but the only downside to me is where they are located. The people that go there arent the brightest. It can actually be irritating if the really obnoxious people come but at the same time you get that everywhere. I go out of my way just to come here because they give great service.

Great place great environment,Sandy does my nails before her it was her mother.Ive been going there for five years now.Rosa does my feet and eyebrows very gentle.I have never had any issues with sanitation or monetary.They are reasonably priced and are pretty good if you aren’t happy fixing the problem. Black nails are from having my nails done for a month and a half. Not bad at all

I came in to get acrylic tips. The girl that started doing my nails seem like she was not experienced. She glued the tips on too close to the edge, one literally popped off when she was filing the shape and had to glue it back on. Then the way she glued it, one nail kind of stuck upwards and another nail was crooked. I got up and asked someone else to finish my nails. The end result was NOT the quality of work that is shown on their Instagram page, and NOT worth the $45 i paid( the girl that finished my nails did a rush job), Im never going back to this salon.

I had my nails done here, they looked great. Except for the fact that 4days later they all started popping off. I have never had this problem with nails. Eitherlthe acrylic she used wasnt good or she didnt use enough im not sure. But they were all off within a week

My friend got her nails done here today and the lady who was doing her nails was supposed to be taking dead skin off but was taking most of her skin around her nails making her bleed and when she told the lady that she is clearly hurt she ignored her and stared spraying multiple sprays of alcohol on the wounds purposely!

This was my first time at Vivi Nails. There was a 15 - 20 minute wait. The nail technician did a good job explaining to me what she planned to do to my nails. I did not get any knicks or cuts. Polish looks great! Thank you Vivi Nails.

I love this place! Mostly everyone here does great nails. The pedicures could be better. I have to say the last time I went Rosa scraped the back of my ankle bad, and she doesnt paint toes good either, but she does great eyebrows.

Not even worth a star. Terrible service after being a customer for years at the salon. Came in for a soak off & regular manicure. I was moved over 3 times just to soak. Three different nail techs were being forceful and rough on my nails just to get the tips off. Then one of the nail techs was on her phone for hours while i was soaking & when I asked how much longer will it take for the soaking to be done she put her hands in my face telling me to wait in such a rude manner so she can go on and continue her phone conversation. I ended up having to leave the salon after being in there for 3 hours and did not get my nails done neither were my nails soaked. I spoke to an individual by the entrance seems like they were in charge but did not care to help me at all. Very disappointed in the services. Also the place has gotten very dirty over the years I remember it used to be spotless.

I live in Newark and have been going to Union for my manicures. I will be going back to Union for my manicures. The gel nail polish is TERRIBLE. The next day the CRYSTAL GEL chipped and peeled. I have never seen anything like this before. I rather stay in Newark for the convenience but if I want my hands to look like something, I have to go back to Union. Oh yeah...the OWNER plays her Ipad to watch her movies the whole time shes doing your nails. Very professional. But I didnt expect much....were in Newark. Please Do Not waste your time and go there. You will be disappointed.

Not only is this place extremely overpriced (40$ for a full set) but they are a scam. They do a very rush job, use as little acrylic as possible which caused multiple nails to break within one week and all the nail techs have an attitude. Their Instagram page is a lie. The work posted on it is only from one nail tech that is always booked with clients that she seems to know personally. They just want to take your money and get you in and out. DO NOT GO HERE.

This place is horrible and over priced. Took my daughter there for a full set and pedicure. They use cheap products and the nail tech Rosa was horrible. We showed a picture of what we wanted and I asked if she knew how to do it. She replied yes but kept asking my daughter if she wanted something else and had a attitude. The job was rushed and messy . It looked nothing like the photo. Went to the the “boss” Kathy and she act like she didn’t notice the flaws . I had to take her somewhere else to get them done over. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!

So the lady that did my nails was very nice, the place is clean and the people actually werent rude at all. Even when I called they were pleasant. However, 1 star gets taken away because I knew they closed at 4pm on Sundays and got here at 2:50. Had to wait almost an hour to get service which was around 3:45 & when she started my feet she said we cant do your nails (meaning my fill-in) because were closing. 😒 Im like REALLY! I go to Tony and he is all about his work when he is doing your nails. Its very hard when the customers walk in and see a lot of people waiting, they keep asking how long do I have to wait....duh look around. Its annoying if he has to stop and answer every second. When Tony has finished my nails I walk away very happy. I think they need a receptionist.

I used to love coming to vivi nails. I would only let tony do my nails anytime I went. However it’s very sad to say that I will not be going back there. I went in to get a full set with hologram polish which cost me $65 for nails that are barely half an inch long, and a week later I have a nail that’s broken in half because it was ENTIRELY too thin. I called and texted tony several times about it and each time he ignored me. So I still decided to give him one more shot and call the shop, and he’s telling me that there’s nothing he can do about the nail (I also spoke to Kathy, the owner, and she said the same thing). At this point, i don’t care about paying $5 to get the nail fixed, I care about their poor customer service that’s being exhibited after I spent about $70 bucks of my hard earned money. So instead of doing the right thing here and fixing the nail as a courtesy so that I can return and spend yet again another $70 after two weeks, I won’t be returning at all. Sad case. And to anyone looking to go there, make sure you’re aware that they only warranty your nails for three days! What a joke! This is a business that clearly doesn’t care about their clientele and only about their profits.

Made an appointment a week a so ago, came in for an appointment, lady wasnt here. No call to let ne know that she wasnt gonna be there to reschedule it. Be mindful i drive over an hour way to get them done. Never again.

This nail salon was recommended buy a customer who has beautiful nails. She showed me the nail salon Instagram and I was enticed by it everything was beautiful and perfect. When I did get to the nail salon it was the opposite. First let me say I have been to this nail salon two times already only because I wanted to give it a solid review and my thoughts on it. The first time I went to the nail salon was to get a Fill in and nail a replace, which cost me $50 I was shocked by the prize but I let it slide. My second time at this nail salon was to get a fill in. The nail tech that did my nails the first time tells me its going to cost me $45 I was immediately shocked by the price. I asked her how is it $45 if shes the one that did my nails the last time I was here and it cost me $50 to get it done. I ask to speak to the the manager and she was brushing it off but I walked over to speak with the manager and she said is going to cost me $35. This nail salon is a absolutely rip off the pictures that you see on Instagram it is not what youre going to get. The nail polish that they use are super cheap because it chips off within less then a week. They do not use credit cards CASH ONLY.

I have been to this establishment multiple times but never again. During my last visit I showed the nail tech a photo of a design I wanted. I paid the price that I was given. When completed I was dissatisfied with the result. My nails looked nothing like what I asked for. I showed the manager and instead of taking responsibility they blamed my nail being too small, the lighting being different and them not having the same colors. I asked them to remove the design and just make it a simple set. They refused to return the money I paid for the design because of their labor. If I asked for a design that they could not do why would they attempt and charge me. So I accepted the loss and the nail tech painted over the nail leaving it thick and poorly shaped. I left a tip (I may not be pleased but Im always polite) and they gave it back to my friend (who was with me) I believe that was rude and unprofessional. The problem was NOT the price. It was the principle. Less than a week later one of my nails broke in half as well as two of my friends nails.Very poor customer service. They dont make you feel welcomed. Dont try listen to what you want. They are the fast food of nail businesses and charge as if they were a 5 star restaurant. I will never step foot there again.

While Kim was very sweet and funny, she also ripped layers of my real nail off and made my nail bed bleed, she didnt even give me the option to soak them off.It will take months for my nails to recover after this. Places like this forget that you are human and although you want to look nice. You dont want brittle infected nails.Also Kathy used to be such a nice lady, I dont know if the money or business has gone to her head but she is so rude. I will never go back to vivi nails. That place isnt how it used to be and has sadly damaged my nails.

Terribly bad service and sloppy fill in. I had called a few days in advance for an appointment with Tony, one of the owners from what I have read in their reviews. My regular tech doesnt offer chrome nails so I researched this salon and felt comfortable with seeing one of the OWNERS. I called and asked how much a fill in with chrome was and I was quoted by a man $42.I live in Bayonne so I traveled over half an hour with trying to find a spot--and this is after tolls and paid parking. I was there on time and he took me about 10min after my appt time, no big deal. I showed him my coffin shaped nails and explained I would like the exact same shape, but filed down a bit with chrome. He just okayed me to death until he began pushing for me to get a brand new set--this was extremely uncomfortable. Before I shell out over $70 for my nails in your establishment I need to know your service is decent and youre capable of doing my nails the way I like to get them done.The fill in itself was extremely sloppy, his filing was not done with force and the shaping was horrible. I gave up trying to tell him I need coffin not square because I didnt want to end up with nails that looked like they went through a pencil sharpener. I wasnt aware of how chrome nails were done so after 5 minutes of me trying to get answer from him he snapped at me I DONT KNOW, I DONT GET! Okay..but you own a nail salon and are a professional nail tech and you cant offer your client any suggestions? I was asking him for some suggestions for a base color.At the end of it all, I am extremely unhappy on top of being misquoted. They charge extra for filing and shaping--crucial parts of a fill in, this is so ridiculous, its a joke. Service was $50.I am in the beauty industry, as well--I do hair. Clients are our livelihood which means TIPS are paying a majority of our bills. To have a tech not know anything about what theyre doing and then admit it to me? On top of being nasty and unprofessional? Thats a big fat HELL NO.He proceeded to put 4-5 coats of gel color on my nails..which has resulted in major chipping less than a week after my appointment. So I spent $60 with tip (for his time, that is the only reason I tipped at all) and walked out with uneven and misshapen nails, a square shape when I asked for a coffin shape and horrible customer service from an owner.

If I could give them 1 star less, I WILL! After years of being a loyal customer to this place, even when Helen left they literally treated me like garbage just a week ago! Everyone knows me there, including Kat. So when I walk in there, I expect nothing but appreciation as its because of well paying customers like me is the ONLY reason Kat has a shop today! One Thursday afternoon I walked in there with my cousin being her first time, she has been dying to go with me, as she heard so many good things. There were about 5-6 ladies waiting when we got there, all waiting for specific people. I told Kat me & my cousin will sit with any1 who works in the first 3 rows, she said fine & that it was gonna be about a hour wait. As I work 2 jobs & this is truly my onlt day I have to myself, we agreed to wait. 2 hours past & we still werent taken care off...all of a sudden each tech started to put their coats on as Tony began to count the draw. After I asked if I was going to be seen, they replied we tired baby, every1 go home, come back tomorrow I literally waiting almost 3 hours to be kicked out with NO service. I am beyond disgusted with theitheir poor customer service to a loyal customer! When I called Kat the next day to try to resolve the matter, she ignored the fact & said it wasnt her problem. Such a decent way to handle the situation with a loyal customer. I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THAT PLACE AGAIN & DONT RECOMMEND IT TO ANY1! THEY ARE ALL ABOUT THE PROFIT & FAIL TO ACKNOWLEDGE THEIR LONG TERM CUSTOMERS! Such a waste of money & time with them!

Paid $75 for ombré nails just 3 of them started to fall apart after a week and half SONYA WAS THE ONE WHO INITIAL DID she has very nasty attitude. The manager is even worst these are literally the worst experience I’ve ever had in a nail salon. Will be call the BBB on them because I’m sure the Spanish ones don’t have a license. Two days ago i had broken a nail on my middle finger so i went to this nail salon to actually remove all my acrylic nails and get a Gel manicure instead. The nail tech proceeded to remove the arylic nails with a nail filer i told her “no can i soak them in acetone instead?” (Ive gotten acrylic removed before never with a nail filer). She told me it will be $5 extra on top of the $30. No problem! But still she proceeded to remove them with the nail filer while the other hand was soaked in acetone. I told her it hurt but by then i was too late i was already bleeding. I couldn’t get anything done because i didnt want to risk getting an infection. This lady charged $15, i didnt dispute it because i didnt not want to seem like i was making a scene. I will not return and i do not recommend it.

Average gel manicure. Nice manicurist. But another lady working there was blasting her Asian television program on her phone. Annoying.
