I only bring my cars to Zachs Automotive. They have years of experience under their belt and most importantly, Josh and his team are very trustworthy. I am extremely picky on where I bring my vehicles but this is one of those shops that am I can trust in taking care of my cars without being sold on unnecessary repairs. They are very professional and their rates are reasonable.

I’ve been taking my car here for at least a year, and have gotten nothing but swift, courteous, fairly-priced service. There have even been a couple instances where they performed minor fixes free of charge. If that doesn’t indicate a respectable mechanic, I don’t know what does.

Support your local small business owners! Theres something to be said about honest, local, family owned, small businesses! As a single mom, Ive experienced my fair share of being taken for a ride by auto repair places! I was referred to Zachs after being told by 4 twin cities corporate automotive facilities that a nail in my tire couldnt be plugged due to the location of the nail, so I needed to buy a new tire ( they said the location was on the side tread or shoulder). Zachs actually showed me the location of the nail, which turned out to be an upholstery staple located on the tread no place near the side or shoulder tread. They fixed it with in a half hour. Im so grateful to have been referred to this place and will be going there for all my automotive work for now on! Thanks from the heart!

Dudes amazing, fixed my vehicle like a boss, even hooked me up with hidden machine guns in the grill and oil slick sprayers that flip out behind the license plate, and even an ejection seat. I love this guy

Josh at Zachs Automotive Repair shop is beyond expert in troubleshooting and determining the causes of errors and deciding what to do about it. I was very impressed the way he talked to me, showed and conveyed all the information related to his findings effectively. I cant express enough that he DOES have extensive mechanical and technical skills to identify and solve the problem. He also charges a lot less than other mechanic wanna be(s). Furthermore Josh doesnt charge for diognosing the problem while others charge to tell you what the problem may be, but the problem may not be what they proclaim. Here is my experience; Precision tune charged me 750+ dollars to adjust timing and change both VVT solenoids on my vehicle. They also charged me 120+ dollars for diognosing before they worked on it. However my engine light remained on. When I went back to precision tune they suggested my vehicle may have a bad ECU and I might have to go to Lexus dealership for that. Thats absolutely unacceptable for me after spending over $800 to get the engine warning light go off.  When I went back to precision tune for the third time, this time they said that it may be cam sensor and that would cost around 350 dollars with the part but he didnt grantee that it would make the engine light go off.  I honestly was still going to get it done after the weekend. I assumed most corporate companies policy is to upsell and it worried me if I was going thru the same thing here. But playing devils advacote, I stopped my Auto Zone on hwy 13 in Burnsville and requested to computer test my vehicle where I could visually observe. After he printed the codes and the suggestions what may be causing those codes to stay on, he strongly recommend that I take the car to Zachs Automotive repair shop and ask for Josh to test and diagnose. I was told he was a very good master mechanic. Josh said upfront he didnt charge anything to diagnose and identify the problem. He drove the car with me while the  computer hooked to it and then drove it to the shop and did a few other tests. Then he pointed out the problem. Should I had come here first, I wouldve saved more than half of that 800+ dollars I spent at precision tune. Thank You Josh. Youre a true car doctor. You can trust Josh. He is expert at his profession. You will be glad you went there and got to know him. I know you will be telling others about Josh like I am telling you. Good mechanics are hard to find. They also charge a lot. Remember every companys policy is to upsell. You will have a different experience with Josh at Zachs Automotive in Burnsville.  Both thumbs up to Master Mechanic Josh.
