The gel came off my nails and the paint is sloppy, she didnt fix the nail she messed up and it hasnt even been a week!

So the staff are nice and the pedicure is usually good. But I have to agree with all the reviews of nails chipping the next day. Less than 24 hours and all but 3 of my nails have chipped. While I appreciate that the salon is spacious and clean, this feels like a waste of money every time I get a manicure here. Honestly just giving a 3 bc the lady (Maria?) was nice but the nails are like a 2 at bestEdit: I gave it another shot. Took my own polish and it turned out much much better. If you want to be somewhere quiet with space, again, this is a good choice.

I’ve been working in the downtown area for years. This establishment has changed hands several times. Back in the day, Queen Latifah used to get her nails done here, so Ive been told. This was the salon to go to, but not now.

Beautiful nail salon locatend in downtown area of Newark, NJ located behind Starbucks and two blocks from whole foods. Extra clean, no noise, light music, tv, foot massage, friendly Spanish & English workers. Recommend!

I shouldve listened to the review about wasting your money. I got a powder gel manicure. It only lasted a week. Normally it would last for 2 weeks. My nails chipped and the gel came off my thumb. It fell right in the sink. A shame $35 wasted.

Place is really nice, spacious and very neat. kind people. I went in asking for a powder manicure. Everything was nice, however the reason for me to rate this place 2 stars is because I did not like the finishing details on my manicure. It is not delicate, and my nails look square and thick. I told the lady, and she just scraped a little, and said she couldnt do it anymore because the powder would be gone. How can the powder be gone if I still see a thick square glummp of powder all over my nail. Extremely unsatisfied with the final touches.

Nail color chipped off that same day I got it done. Takes forever for nails to dry. They suck at doing nail designs. They make your nails really thick and fake looking. Although they are very nice people just not great at doing nails

I asked if they did acrylic nails they said no they do cystal so i said OK i came have them a try since they took card, when they were done i was unhappy with the results they looked like something a unprofessional done and i could of paid $20 somewhere for the same style and been done faster . They took forever and the color didnt even last long NEVER GOING BACK I REALLY WANT MY MONEY BACK AS WELL!!! 😠

Terrible. I had to pray while i was getting my pedicure after I told the lady she was tooo rough. I really wanted the spanish ladies to do my feet but instead I got the nail technician. Then she had the nerves to be rude. I told her to just stop and I paid and left.

I have never witnessed anyone being so rude to their customers as they were to me. They were the rudest owners I have ever met due to the fact that they were forcing me to pay $50. When I went they told me it would be $20 for a refill plus $5 to trim the nails but when they rang me up it became double. When I argued that I am not paying this amount the lady yelled at me saying to sit down because she was going to take my nails off which took 2 hours to do. I was not with it. Overall, they suck. Never going back again. Only after the money and not the satisfaction of their customers. They also called me a liar and that I was trying to scam them because I was a “college student.” Very judgmental. I wouldn’t have had a problem paying if it was a new set but they barely worked on it.

Love the way Sue n Cindy wax eyebrows. Great everytime. Not to sure about anythinf else. My niece did her nails there once n it way expensive and not worth it.

Very friendly staff and no wait time to be taken care off very professional. No young people in there so it very quiet and relaxing. I will be going there from now.

I only gave them one star cuz I had to give them a star. This place is horrible. Yes its clean but not only did they take 3 and a half hours to do my tips they put clear polish on then got mad that I wanted a color. And on top of all that I got home while taking a shower a nail broke off. Like 2 hours after getting them done. I went back and they tried to charge me to fix it! I hate this place!! Never going back!!

I stop in often for a pedicure! This nail salon has been downtown Newark for years. The price cant be best, the workers are friendly and the place is beautiful....everything I require!

Went there on Friday, today Saturday two are already broken. They’re cheap in quality but their prices are absurdly high. The nails are lumpy, crooked and there’s polish everywhere. They made me soak my nails in dirty alcohol, filed them raw and they’re too slow. Don’t waste your time or money at this place.

NEVER EVER GO TO THIS SALON! I got my nails done there last Friday, September 2 2016 and as of today September 10 2016 4 of the nails are broken. Not only did I have to wait 25 minutes for someone to start my nails once I got there, the woman then took 2 and half hours to do my nails, thats not including the time is took to do the pedicure. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE.

Went there Thursday to get my nails done...had gel coat put on. It was horrible, lumpy and it started peeling the next day. Went back on Saturday to get it fixed only to be biting by bed bugs. The owner saw me scratching and looked at the bites and sprayed my arm with alcohol and continued to mess up my nails even more. I got up and left and went somewhere else to have them redone. Horrible experience, will never ever go there again.

Very overpriced and for the amount I paid. The paint started coming off in two days with the uv gel. Called before I went there and got hung up on. Half job on the pedicure. Total ripoff

Got a manicure on Friday afternoon, it’s now Monday and 6/10 nails are chipped. It was cheap so I guess you get what you pay for 🤷🏼‍♀️ Wouldn’t go back.

For 29 dollars you can get a pedicure and manicure. Very professional, but parking can be difficult.

WORST service I have EVER received at a nail salon. Usually I dont leave bad reviews because everyone makes mistakes and has off days, but this place has systemic issues due to rudeness of the management and terrible training of their staff.The owners are an older Asian couple, and while the husband works the cash register, the wife does nails. The husband was polite enough, if not a little pushy with the hard sells. The wife on the other hand was clearly shooting me dirty looks for brining a friend along for company who didnt want her nails done (The salon was nearly empty and she wasnt taking up any otherwise useful space or even talking).After stripping my old manicure, the girl doing my nails just stopped and stated my bill out loud. I sat there confused for a moment about what she meant, until I asked if she wanted me to pay her before she started? She awkwardly looked at the owner and nodded yes. Now, Im not from around this area, but I have been to other nail salons and NEVER have I paid for services BEFORE theyre given! So I just shrugged and paid, thinking it was an odd management quirk.The girl doing my nails barely spoke English, which usually isnt an issue at all, but she literally could not understand that I wanted **parallel** lines on the design- in fact she had never done the design before despite it being picked from a pre-selected set of designs that the shop provided... in the end I just gave up my useless miming and let her do what she pleased.In the end I walked up to the register to pay the extra $5 which I owed for the design, and instead of handing me the bill politely, the wife yelled at the husband across the shop that I still owed $5 before I left, and he hurried to the front to collect it from me.Im honestly shocked- Ive never received this type of treatment, and usually tip very well, but this time I settled the bill and walked out. I will NEVER return, and very much discourage anyone from visiting this location. Theres literally 5 nail shops only blocks away from this one, please pick any one of those.

This place is just like any other place. I paid $65 for a gel set and received ACRYLIC POWDER with a gel polish and top coat. One nail came off the next day. Will never go here again.
