Went for the first time and really loved the experience!! My nail artist was Yoko, and she was very careful and considerate about adapting the design I showed her (last pic) to what I wanted. It’s definitely my favorite nail art I’ve ever had and I love it! I got the mid art design and it took about an hour and a half. Consider asking for Yoko when you go :)
Highly recommend. The whole process was quick and I got what exactly I needed .
I am actually offended that this place has a 4.1 rating! They should have 10 stars! Not only are all of their techs insanely talented (nail art out of this world) but they are very accommodating to their clients. Perhaps they are a bit pricey, but like any goods or services, you get what you pay for.If you want the best manicure/nail art/attention to detail in NYC, this is your spot!
Fast and affordable. I’m new to NY and needed to go through a few stinkers before finding this place.
Quality has been inconsistent. I’ve had a great gel manicure with intricate art that lasted a month, but my most recent gel manicure from here lasted about 2 days before it started chipping. It started with just one nail. Fast forward 2 more days and all EXCEPT one were badly chipped.I wrote to them about it to ask if anything can be done... a couple days passed before I got a response. Once they responded, they got me into their schedule later that week, but the manicurist rushed through it. The more I look at my nails, the more flaws I notice.Worst of all, they charged me $40 to fix it when they never mentioned a cost for fixing their own mistakes in email or on their website menu. The other nail spots I’ve gone to have fixed my nails free of charge if they started chipping in less than one week, so I assumed it’d be the same here, but it’s not. Considering how pricey their services can be, as well as the $20 I’ve tipped for each manicure... idkI don’t have an issue with paying for quality, and frankly, I don’t put too much weight on exceptional customer service either. But I’ve gotten almost the same level of quality for significantly less so.... not worth returning in my opinion. Maybe you’ll have more consistent and better luck :)
I got a mani pedi with nail art on my hands. Nana was friendly, patient and so lovely in helping me choose what I wanted to do. It was my first time doing nail art and she was so sweet and talented... and she was somehow able to fulfil ALL of my crazy requests! I LOVE my nails and they’re exactly what I hoped for!
Technicians are polite and skillful.
I stopped going to this salon for a while. However, yesterday I decided to go back for a gel manicure. Upon arrival, I was greeted with warm smiles from the staff. The place is also very clean. Fujiko is the absolute best. It was evident she is serious about her craft. She took her time and my nails look amazing. I will be returning.
This is my favorite nail salon!! You have to book an appointment. The nail tech is not rushing, they care about their work, and make sure that you like how your nails look. Nana, Angie, and Eriko are amazing!! The nails are worth what you pay. The space is clean and the staff is very friendly.
Wouldnt go anywhere else. Literally amazing Japanese shellac nail art.
Love this place. Clean, consistent, and great work. People have problems with the customer service, but other than confirming the service you want and doing a good job, what else should they be providing? The seats are comfy and they have a nice color selection. Highly recommend.
Good Quality products and friendly staff. My only issue is with the online reservation service and information. It needs to be more clear on the terms.
I went for the first time in December and absolutely loved it. The nails completely last! I’m def going back! It can be a little $$$ but so worth it!
They won’t let me make an appointment because I want regular polish. I’m sorry but I don’t like gel? I just want nail art... what’s the issue??
Japanese nail salon. Pay in cash to save 10%. Review on yelp to save another 10%. Fancy salon price for a neighborhood looking spot. But the service is so professional it’s worth it. It’s quiet here and you’ll leave feeling calm and pampered.
Literally the PERFECT manicure. So many colors to choose from and the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. I’ve been to lots of nail salons and this by far stands out at the best.
NEVER ever coming back here again. I had an appointment with Mickey on Friday 5/10 and its Friday 5/17 (1 week), paid $57 dollars (with tax) and my nails look like this! How is that possible? This kind of work is expected for an amateur, not what they call themselves professionals work. I will never come back here nor will i recommend anyone to come here. If I can rate negative starts I would, because this doesnt deserve no stars.
Three stars purely based on wanting a plain manicure (no gel or designs) at $16 this seems a little pricey. But for $10, theyll just put polish on. Was happy with just doing polish because Im not quite sure how sanitary it is. The employees are so nice!
I havent try them as yet, what I saw on their website looks great.
I was there 2 weeks ago @ 6 PM and did my gel filling with design and I loved it so I wanted to go again. I called to make an appointment for same time but receptionist said doing my nail will take more than 2 hours so she cannot take the appointment for 6 PM. I guess you cannot go if you cannot go earlier than 6 PM.
Their policy make them loose customers. I called to cancel appointment ( 1st time) due to the holiday early closing at my job, did not want to stay in the city untill my appointment @ 6:30, they wanted to charge cancellation fee of 50% of the service that I planned. Furthermore, they wouldnt make another appointment unless I pay the fee...oh well, there are plenty of other places in the city. Its just I never run to anything like this before.
The manager is very rude and not accommodating. Very upsetting that I will have to find a new place because they do not know how to treat a loyal costumer! Earlier today I thought I would have to cancel my appointment because of work and wanted to give them time to find someone else to fill the spot. They stated that they would charge me a cancellation fee because it was on the same day. I was able to switch my schedule and called them back and told them that I would be able to keep the appointment and they told me that my slot had been filled and they would still charge me a cancellation fee anyway even tho I would be able to make my original appointment. So basically they are trying to make an extra dollar on my expense because they filled the original appointment in time... and I would still be charged a fee!
Love this place! My manicure actually lasted. The staff was very nice and made me want to go back.
The quality of work is great but the customer service is terrible.Imagine having an appointment and being told that you can’t get what you want and are restricted to one solid color. I can go somewhere cheaper for solid gel colors! I chose this salon because the designs are hard to find and instead i was yelled at and disrespected in a salon full of customers by the woman at the front desk. She doesn’t know how to communicate with customers. There was no disagreement, but I can assume with the way that she spoke with me that she’s used to getting in confrontations with customers. A lack of communication on the salons part to not communicate with me that they didn’t have time to do what I waited over an hour in traffic to get. BS.
Sat at the nail dryer for 10 minutes and my paint is not even dry all the way. It smeared as I left for goodness sakes. Eva did my nails half-assed and was all crabby about it too. I dont know why. This is the last time I come here. Not worth your 💰.As an update, its been an hour and the Polish smodged twice again. This place is $&it. Dont go here.
I have emergency with the appointment time, the problem is their policy. I thought I can get there at 4:30 by taxi, but there is a terrible traffic jam and I try my best to arrive there at 5:10. Before getting there, they texted me and agreed with me with a single color; however, they just say to me they are unable to do it and ask me to pay cancel fee!!!!!! I feel it’s kind of fraud that just want me to go there to pay, I will never ever recommend anyone to there.———————————————————So by the way you say, everybody with emergency can just miss the appointment without taking responsibility and they even don’t have to pay to accord with your cancellation policy?!My appointment is 4:15, and I got there at 5:10 before paying time 5:15!!!!!!! You say you wait for 1.5 hrs where’s the 30 mins, it’s a ridiculous explanation to reply........The problem I felt disrespected is I already try my best to get there, you even didn’t take a look on my nails or just ask me to wait for other artist when they are available, you just ask me to reschedule and pay directly. If you keep holding that kind of service to your customer, I need to say hope you can have this studio for a long time.
Great service and nail job but a little pricey. Worth it though.
I booked from overseas via the website, I was replied to promptly and my appointment made, Mikiko did a great gel refill, she was very gentle and thorough! Would def come back again :)
They do mani-pedis that are very popular. the owner is my hair stylist.
This was my first time getting gel nails and Mikiko exceeded my expectations. Its been 3 weeks and my nails look the way they would a week after getting acrylic nails from my normal salon. Its pricey but worth it.
It was such an amazing manicure, my manicurist was good!! Ill come back soon, and will recomend)
I didnt like that because I was 15 mins late and had informed them I would be, they wanted to take off a service. The nails lasted less than a week!
Great job!
Unbeatable place ... as cute as it is expensive
