Their excuse for not smoothing the nails is that the nails become weak. The technician used lukewarm water, reused a basin liner, didnt use the whirlpool function, and did not offer to use the massage chair. They quoted a price of $33 cash, then pressure for a tip even though the did a lousy job and spent only 20 minutes on the procedure. The only reason I used the salon was because I was leaving for a cruise the next day. I would never visit this salon again.
Absolutely love this place. I have been here a few times and each visit gets better and better. Each time i got a pedicure. They took their time with each step. I love how clean everything is and all the protective equipment they used. My feet always come out perfect. Also, surprisingly each time i go, the man does a pedicure on me. I absolutely love it. I can sit back and trust him fully. I appreciate that so much. The other visits i have only done a manicure. This last time, i did a powder dipped polish instead. I actually like it alot more. I didnt find any specific color i liked so i went with a French tip. Im SO glad i did. They came out so beautiful. It was truly worth it.The regular pedi and powder mani costs $77 with tax on card. Its an additional $15 for French. Its also cheaper if you use cash.I cant wait to return. Next visit i will be getting a funky color and design. I cannot wait.
The woman who did my nail was extremely rude and nasty to me. They do not offer acrylic only dip powder. I asked for coffin shaped nails she gave me square. Got an attitude with me when I wanted to add a color to one nail that she didn’t even work on yet. Then was yanking my hand because I didn’t relax them enough for her taste. The services in total were $12, but I could’ve gone to Envy and got the same thing for less. The nail cracked in the middle 2 days after getting them done on both index finger which caused serious damage to my nail bed underneath. Don’t waste you time or money.
Love the professionalism and quality of service! I have been going to Doree for the last 4 years and the quality has been consistent throughout my time there. Looking forward to trying the nail extensions next!
Very clean and friendly nail salon. They have hand sanitizer and plastic dividers to avoid contact with the client and customer. The nail polish collection varies from glitter to regular nail polish. Quality of the manicure is better than other locations, tech takes their time with the manicure. I think this place would receive 5 stars if the painting were a little better. There are areas that have no nail polish such as by the cuticle or near the edges of the nails. *Pay in cash!
I got a gel manicure with designs and it was an amazing experience. It is like mobile artwork on my fingernails. I would highly recommend people visiting Doree Spa
I love to go to Doree Nails and spa, their customer service its on point. Everytime that I go there I feel my hands and feet are being taking care of, honestly I could ask for more when it comes down to my nails I expect someone will really make sure that they are perfect. This are not the best pictures but its an idea. I really liked it.
Haven’t been personally but wanted to leave edit they are NOT black owned. In my Google search they come up as black owned for some reason, but After calling I realize they are not. Which is perfectly fine but if that is what you were searching for and this is not the place
The space is lovely but service is inconsistent. Sometimes gels last 3 weeks, other times they chip in one week.
They are rude at this salon,This is the second time Im going there and they make you wait after making an appointment.Today they reached a new level of disrespect. I made an appointment for 5pm and waited and waited and at 5:25pm someone else walked in to do nails and they attended to her and started doing her nails.I dont know if it i because Im black or what but it was quite disrespectful for me to have been waiting 25 mins and I didnt even complain that they were running behind but for someone else to now come in way after me and they are choosing to attend to her is a new level of dismissive
Lovely staff and salon
Unfortunately can’t wait until it peels so I can redo
Nini and Michelle are good doing wax on eyebrows but Didi is the best for eyebrows #1👍.
The ladies were very professional and Courteous.
Its hard to find a good nail salon in the city that is a decent price and doesnt skimp on quality. The technicians here are all very talented, and they take their time to ensure the details of your manicure are how you like them. They charge a bit more for using your card but overall the price matches the service. Better than most nail salons in Harlem by a long shot.
The staff was wonderful, very friendly and kind. They truly try to make you feel comfortable and care about doing a good job. My nails look wonderful and the service was great. I would come here again.
Great job on nails. Serena is amazing. She will get your shape really nice. Do the dip powder. It is perfect. Nice environment.
I would not recommend. Wait time is always longer than they say and if you complain about it they say if you are not happy leave there is a one block away a new place called Forever Lucky and it is way better that this one. My two cent!
Glad to find a nail salon in Harlem that I like! The staff was nice and overall it feels clean. It’s not a fancy place, but great if you just want a typical, standard nail salon experience.*sad that this needs to be said, but if you’re getting your nails done, you need to tip! If you can’t afford to tip on the service, then you can’t afford it. I felt really bad for the employees when a guest blatantly didn’t tip and said she was “unhappy” walking out with her freshly done nails. Let’s be better💛
I got my nails done here...not only did they overcharge me, but the nails look horrible....I was also forced to tip. A very terrible experience.
This is my regular nail salon. Clean and good quality work for your money. They have extensive services from deluxe manicures/ pedicures, facials, waxing, eyebrows and spa treatment. One thing I really like is that there is NO strong acrylics chemical smell you get in so many other nail salons. Very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Attentive and skilled staff.
Excellent
I was able to walk in without an appointment for a pedicure. Its a small, clean spot. The man who did my service was super gentle, I asked for more pressure and more vigorous scrubbing (twice) but he did not make any changes, he did not acknowledge my request. He seemed disinterested actually. Im 100% positive I could have done a better job myself, so next time Ill save my cash and do so. This is a basic place that does a very basic job but dont expect high quality.
Had a Pedicure.
This is a clean, friendly and consistently excellent salon. I get pedicures and powder dip manicures here frequently. They have many other services that are popular like eyelash extensions and waxing. Highly recommend this gem in Harlem!
I got a spa package and was pleased with the results. I love the ambiance. It is very clean, the staff is friendly and they are very attentive. I will definitely be returning. I recommend you schedule an appointment though. It can get very busy.
It was one of the worst experiences.I got a walk in appointment for powder manicure (which was a good start). The lady who did my nails didnt care to clean it and I had to ask her to remove dirt from one of the nails. At the end she just applied some lotion on my hands and didnt even massage it 😑. They told me they charged $45 and accepted cards, when I went to pay they charged me $48 as I was using a card to pay.I went to get nails done for relaxation after a tough week and this whole experience added to my stress.Never going back.
A good regular nail spot. Clean, friendly, and an assortment of nail polishes. Only issue is that they never open on time - If you book an appointment make sure its at least 30 minutes after opening or youll be standing outside waiting for them to arrive.
FANTASTIC ❣💫
Very professional environment. The services provided are very well done. Any issues will be corrected within a week of the service. Dee Dee and Serena are my favorite nail technicians. They are vey detailed and precise. The establishment is very clean and doesnt smell like chemicals.
I had a great experience and will definitely return again!!!
They are rude
Very unprofessional and racist towards certain customers. They complain to the customer if you make request about your nails and REFUSE to do your nails the way that you ask. I asked for jets to be turned on in the bath and the lady said no because it would mess up the plastic wrap (Saran wrap) that they place in the foot bath. So I did not get the full pedicure experience. They look good on the outside but they’re not worth your money and time. We need places that appreciate our business.
I hate this place. They rush and the staff are not well trained and/or are not the people pictured. They have 16 different people but only 8 pictured technicians. They shape my nails 3 different ways on one hand and I have to tell them to fix them. They use the cheap stick on foot scrubbers that don’t take off dead skin, it’s just a buffer surface. The technician was scrubbing the underside of my foot. The water was cold and they did my feet and hands at the same time. My polish is coated unevenly and she did the gel procedure wrong and now they’re dull and the color is see through on one hand.
Unattractive, got the worst gel manicure which started peeling the next day :(
Really quality mani and pedi! The place feels clean, quiet and upscale for the area. Also a great color selection. I’ll be coming back!
Never again. Went there to get my daughter mani and pedi done. Theres a price for children but they wanted to charge my daughter which is 12 full price and friday I went for a gel filling and one nail fix and they wanted to charge$65. I left. Never again will i go. Theyre very basic with expensive prices.
This place was not what I expected. First time I went I had an appointment and waited for manicurist to finish with her customer. The job came out ok however when it was time to pay they make up their own prices. I sent my friend Thursday and she had a terrible experience. They charged her for two separate services just for her hands only. This establishment has a habit of charging black customers more than caucasians. It’s based in Harlem keep in mind there are minorities living in that neighborhood. You need our business but when you mistreat us and down talk us why on earth would we want to spend our money at your business. Stop spending your money with them. Go to black owned! There is an issue with Asians disliking minorities and it shows. Horrible service and racist staff! I will report this business to the local council members and better business bureau. Respect all customers regardless. I don’t care if we are green! Respect!
This place was very rude to guests as they came in for service. You would think that being in an industry of service they would be more accommodating.
Prices online do not reflect prices in Salon. The pricing of these services don’t match and are very confusing. I went into Doree Spa for the first time today for a manicure, adding acrylic tips, and using dip powder. On their website, dip powder tips are marked as $45. When I sat down and my technician was explaining prices, she told me it was $45 for a clear dip, $55 for colored dip.. who wouldn’t want color dip? I explained that that is silly and is also confusing on their website. I was frustrated, but decided I was already there (after walking several blocks to get there) so i would suck it up and expect this to be the best manicure ever. Welp, it was not the best manicure ever. My technician didn’t listen when I said I liked my nails shorter, and after asking her several times to “keep going” when trimming, she said “I will file down, ok?”. She did not file down. As she was dipping my nails in the powder, she seemed so annoyed to even be working with me and continuously shook my hand for it to relax and scolded me about being stiff. For a $55 I would expect an actual manicure. Cuticle cleaning, hand massage, the usual things. None of this happened. When it was time for me to pay, she charged me $3 to use my credit card (even though I asked at the beginning of the service to be sure they accepted cards, no mention of a fee was told to me) and when I didn’t have cash to tip her, she was put out and demanded that next time I come in to make sure I have cash. My experience was bad, my manicure is mediocre at best, and the lack of customer service was disappointing. I will not be returning to the Doree Spa and will advise my girlfriends against it.
This place is fine, the guy who did my nails seemed so nervous, he only painted half of my pinky toenails and my feet are not exfoliated at all. But it was cheap so theres that.
If you want to have just your nails to be colored - good place, but if you need to have an actual manicure/pedicure - horrible place! The worst pedicure and manicure I have ever received!
Worse experience ever, today April 1 I walked in to do my nails at 3:20, at 3:44 she told me she have another customer and I have to wait more after she’s been walking around doing NOTHING. Is that the way you treat customers. That’s very unprofessional and raises. Just because I’m a Latina woman. Please think before you go to Doree nail salon . The most disgusting experience ever . My money does count Dorees ....
The worst nail job Ive had to date. no washing of the hands. Very poor workmanship and over priced for subpar work.
Great service. a little pricey, but worth it.
They are always clean.. everything they use is clean and organized..
The service options are great. Its always calm and serene. Not to mention, the cleanest nail salon I have ever been to. This alone deserves 5 stars. HOWEVER... the prices are very steep. Although, for the cleanliness and serenity, I am willing to pay the extra $$$. What turns me off are some of the employees. They can be very rude and standoffish at times. I had called ahead of time and asked to have a specific nail tech for my appointment time. When I arrived, the requested nail tech wasnt available. Instead of being honest and telling me she wasnt available, another nail tech came out and pretended to be the one I had requested (as if I wouldnt notice). I decided to not make a big deal about it and allowed her to do my mani/pedi. All throughout my session, the nail techs were speaking in a different language, laughing and giggling saying the requested nail techs name. In other words HA HA SHE THINKS IM (name). Although this was not a great experience for me, I still come here for my mani/pedi. Its the cleanest and quietest place in the area. #UntilIFindANewPlace
They charge way too much for nothing but a dip set no designs at all.
They nickel and dime you for everything, which would be ok if the gel manicures held up. Mine chipped after just a few days. Will never go back. In addiction, they are rude and not at all accommodating.
They are great. All the staff!
I like Doree Nails but a little annoyed that they charge you ten dollars to remove your gel nail polish.
I love this place.
Too loud just wanted to relax!
Not worth the money.
Nice place
Clean, kind, inexpensive, bright, professional
Very good place I like they are fast. And very good termination. But above all I love that you do my nails Celina. She does a long and clean job, she takes care that you feel good.
