After reading some recent reviews, I wish I had posted my review sooner. Got mine and my husbands nails done here two weeks ago today. Now, Ive had no issues with the actual quality of the work, but am giving one star, as this place was a total scam. English is not my husbands first language. We stopped in for the gel mani/pedi special they had, and asked for an added callous remover. Several times, the person helping my husband tried to get us to upgrade, but I declined. No sooner than my tech was done and I moved from the pedicure seat, his tech continued to push the upgrade on him. Being in an awkward predicament, he agreed. I held my tongue because I watched it happen from afar, as he was still getting his pedi when I moved onto my mani, and had just witnessed a mother going off on her daughter because she was pressured into upgrading as well (and Im not about that negative energy). When we went to pay, his tech actually rang us out together as I asked, but charged us both for upgrades. I wasnt going to get upset, but when we tipped, she had the audacity to say we didnt tip enough and it needed to be 20%. At that point, I just glared at her, snatched the receipt and walked out. While my tech had nothing to do with it, the tech who helped my husband left a very sour taste in my mouth and we will never be back, even if my pedi still looks fresh and has yet to even chip two weeks later. Be warned, if you go here, you may get scammed!

Nails weren’t done properly, I asked for short natural nails with some cute marble designs and they did a thick layer with scribbled, and the nail tech aggressively grabbed my hand through the whole process. I asked her to add another coat because the color was too light and she was upset about it. Wouldn’t recommend coming here again.

Overall an ok experience, but I found the service with Emily to be curt and brusque. She was unfriendly and when I paid (before she did the polish) I didn’t add a tip on my credit card, and I was rudely asked if I was going to pay a tip on the spot. I explained I would, in cash, after my nails dried, and she just grunted. Later while I was waiting for my friends to finish their service she approached me again about a tip. Even though the place wasn’t crowded I felt that the service was very rushed and rude. The space was nice - Very bright clean place with massage chairs, and they do paraffin for your heels as part of the mani/ pedi. It’s more expensive than average - $37 on weekends- and they push the “package” with massage pretty hard. If the service were better I would go back but after tax and tip it was about $50 and for this level of service it wasn’t worth it.

Very good manicure will come back

I had been going to this place for quite some time. It’s very convenient to get to and they do a decent job for the price. I have had 2 very nice experiences there but always felt that I was not preferred in this place. I tip 20% or more depending on the service. After the most horrific experience yesterday, I was convinced that I could no longer go back there. I am an African American woman and I have never been treated more disgusting in my life.

I get my nails done almost every 2-3 weeks and live in UWS/NYC. I was in a time constraint and when I walked by and saw they had openings I walked in. They put me with a manicurist who could not speak English. Come to find out it was her first day on the job. The nail salon had obviously not trained her at all. She took 2 hrs to do a gel manicure and had no idea how to do it. The other manicurist for the first 1 1/2 just yelled at her telling her what to do. Finally a man came and finished the job. He apologized and said she was new and had told them she had done this for 10 years. He also told me I should of asked for someone experienced. After wasting so much of my time and charging me full price 3 days later the gel is lifting and coming off.DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON

Poor service overall. JoJo rushed my pedicure - told her slow down as I didn’t want to get cut with the clippers. During the manicure she didn’t remove the old nail polish I had (again, rushing). Also, I told her I wanted rounded square (w the edges rounded). She got annoyed when I kept reminding her. She got upset when she got a 10% tip - I explained that the service and her attitude were poor. I demanded another girl finish me, and Lily did a great job at painting the nails. I shall never set foot EVER in this place. It’s a pity too as I live 2 blocks away. Congrats to losing a neighbor client!

Nail services here are cheapest on the block (at the point of this review) but you get what you pay for - straightforward no-frills service. Poor review is due to poor customer service - staff have conversations among themselves in Mandarin in the presence of customers. They also have no qualms in telling you that the minimum tip is $5 in cash.

Great experience! Super friendly staff, great job.

They have renovated the place and it is much cleaner and the service is still good and though they have raised the price of little bit it is still a good value

I went to get a mani pedi this evening. I have been coming here for over 8 years. This evening as I was getting a pedicure I watched a black young lady walk in and ask for Ada. She was greeted with the response “She’s not here here schedule changed”.Clearly this young woman had been coming here for a while to have this woman’s person phone number and know her schedule. They young lady then preceded to ask if she can get a manicure.The employee responded “ehhh we are closing. I’m leaving now after this.”The young woman asked if any of the other ladies would be able to do the job because it was quick.30 seconds of silence they say “Come back tomorrow”Less than 5 minutes pass and two young white females enter the shop. They are greeted by all. They search for their color and ask for a mani pedi.The employee says “Ok. 10 minutes “I am confused and disgusted at the same time that Less than 5 minutes ago you told the other young lady you were closing.I ask the employee how come she turned the other woman away stating they were closing soon and she is not taking 2 customers. She acted as if she didn’t know what I was referring to.I ended my service there. I do not wish to spend money in an establishment where customers are judges and services based on the color of their skin. ABSOLUTELY DISHEARTENING AND DISGUSTING!!! I will NEVER return to this place AGAIN!

I have never written a review before, but I got a gel manicure on Saturday and it’s wednesday. Polish on two of my nails have fallen off and I don’t pick at my nails when I get them done. Not worth the price at all. On top of that, one of my friends tried to give a $6 dollar tip on $54 for the mediocre Work and the woman said, “this isn’t 20 percent” and forced her to use her card to give her more of a tip, which is absolutely aburd. I wish I’d tipped less.

The mani/pedi I got was perfect. My girl was very quiet though. Very nice but very quiet. The massage I got was brutal. Next time Ill be sure to tell her to ease up. She was massaging my bones and pressing so hard. Despite the torture from the massage, I am definitely coming back. The mani/pedi is $25 and considering the neighborhood its a great deal. A place down the street wanted $32 just for a pedicure.

Person that did mani to my mom complaint about $4 tip. she said next time give 20%tip . Never coming back here again .

Not only did they half-ass the mani and pedi. The second person that did the my mani complained about the 2$ tip I gave. Let me remind you I got a mani and pedi and they had me out the door in less then 10 minutes. No lotion or mini foot or hand massage. Dont waste your time or money. They are rude and not even worth the 25$
