Favorite salon in nyc. I’ve lived in Manhattan for almost 2 years and everyone who works here is lovely. Super kind, efficient, accommodating, and my UV gel manicure has been on for over 3 weeks and I’m just now scheduling an appointment for a fill! 10/10 would recommend :) (NOTE: first photo shows rlly rough skin around nails but that was DONE BY ME before getting the manicure. Carmen was so careful and basically worked magic to do this manicure on such beat up nails/cuticles. Second photo is 3 weeks later!!)

I really love my nails. I got a back massage while getting my nails done and omg it was the Bomb.

I fell in love with this nail salon, when I was looking for a salon to get a pedicure because the place I went to prior to going here was horrible. Ever since then I have been going back. Everyone is so hospitable and Sophia makes you feel like you’re at home. Also who doesn’t love massages while you’re getting your nails done. And the massages are great both Grace and Mike!!!

Ballet slippers is a gem! From the second you walk in you will notice there is a calming energy all throughout the salon. Rosa did my powder gel and did an excellent job. She did not make me feel rushed and did not rush my nails, making my experience feel relaxing.The salon is also very clean and nicely spread out which for me is a MUST!Loved my experience and I highly recommend this salon!

From the phone call to the check-in to the service, Ballet Slippers is on point! It’s clean, they’re kind and super personable! They are so detail oriented and did not rush me at all! I get gel manis + pedis and love to get my feet smooth like a baby and they’re the best at that. The really care about what they do! I highly recommend:)

Carmen and team were WONDERFUL! I called ahead with concerns about my torn, ripped and tattered nail beds and cuticules from anxiety. The professional and welcoming way I was counseled on that phone call was what really got me in the door, although initially unsure at the price point. Sophie explained in detail, upfront what their approach would be for the first visit and to care for the damaged nails 2-3 weeks from now.Once there, Carmen cared for me well beyond the close of the salon and was so relatable and caring in our conversation – I felt so comfortable with minimal pain compared to other lower-price point salons that have made me feel ashamed of even coming in with the pain I’ve experienced. This educational experience, however, encouraged and empowered me to come back and really tackle my habit with a long-term approach and solution to my nail hygiene. Cheers to the team, will def be returning!

Amazing massages by Grace

August 2020: Sophie does the best lashes in Manhattan!Update 26 March 2021: after 2 years of religiously getting my powder gel nails (thank you Carmen and Maria) and lashes done here I finally tried a room massage with Grace. I kept hearing other clients mention her so I did it. Wowwwwww She really knows what she’s doing and worked miracles on me with her skills. I had booked 45 minutes but after 3 minutes of her work I said let’s do an hour. I love this place and the entire staff is truly wonderful.

Probably the best manicure Ive ever gotten. Its been a week and a half and there is not a single chip. The salon is beautiful, and the employees are professional and nice. Will definitely come back again!

I got a manicure two days ago and one of my fingers still hurts. My cuticles were cut quite brutally, left me bleeding on two fingers with the technician blaming the clippers for being too sharp. When she cleaned under my nails, she also went in not gently at all, too deep and left one finger hurt and infected. Ive never felt worse after a manicure.

Amazing mani/pedi as usual, a lot of care taken here.I went back this week for the salon reopening ( phase 3) and precautions are taken.Call first though, there is no walk in right now ( july 6th), by appointment only.

Had a recent massage session. She did a great job I guess. My body felt a lot better for sure so Im not knocking on her skills.However, giving 2 stars because of my experience there. Basically made me feel like I dont belong there. No smiling at all and sounded condescending and judgmental whenever we engaged in conversationI would recommend for massage. Friendly staff. Clean and nice atmosphere.Would not recommend if you are looking for a massage therapist who treats you like a paying customer.

Very good, kind of expensive but all of the technicians are top notch so you really cant go wrong once youre in there. The facility is very nice, clean and spacious. They have all of the latest colors and methods available. Tons of options! Friendly owners and staff.

I came across this place when I was randomly in Murray Hill. These guys are excellent. Lady who did my nails was quick but did a fantastic job. The massage I had was also excellent. And if that wasn’t enough, the owner kept my baby entertained while I was getting my mani and massage! Overall, highly recommend.

I received a birthday gift package at Ballet Slippers. From the first moment I walked in to this beautiful, modern and state of art salon, I was greeted by Victoria. Right away I felt welcomed! The sterilization stations were properly labeled and I was following the sterilization process, working in the medical field is a big plus when they do not transfer tools from one client to another, each tech opens the sterilization pouch right in front of you, after secure packaged and sterilized. 5+ stars!!!I had an hour massage by James and followed gel manicure and pedicure by Ruzanna. They all did an amazing job. I have been following Ruzanna for my nails over 10 yrs and now Ballet Slippers is my new go to salon, which I do not mind driving from Long Island.I would definitely recommend my family and friends to this amazing spa!

Took a package for $120 the worker Maggie gave a horrible gel manicure chipped off the same week.Beware and think twice before purchasing the package deals!I guess before reply to my post you really need to go check all the rest of the feed back you got!!You CANNOT build Rockets as you need to maintain them.Your service sucks and thats the truth.Please work on improving it.Thats all.

They’re the best place I’ve been to in my almost 20yrs of living, and they’re prices match they’re service. They’re very welcoming. My Nail technician was Jenny, and shes Amazing!!

I get a lot of massages and this place was the best! I had Henry. I would also recommend a facial by Grace. When we are back in the city we will be sure to come again!

I was in New York for few days, and tried a massage at this Spa. The experience was definitely excellent. I would recommend everybody to try it. Very pleasant and professional atmosphere.

Hands down the best pedicure in Murray Hill. Theyre clean and thorough, so much better than any of the budget spas in the neighborhood. Also the massage guy is amazing. Worth it!

Visited the salon based on all the great reviews. Well deserved. Priscilla did an amazing job on my mani/pedi. A bit pricey but very clean, professional and nice to get a big welcome and good-bye at reception.

Grace is great massage therapist, my office is right on the corner I go to Ballet Slippers all the time and my neck feels as good as new every time I finish my massage.

Loved this nail salon! The staff is super meticulous. We were in the city for a couple of days and stopped by to try it out.We came in about an hour before closing and they had no problem taking us for a mani and pedi.They have a great selection of colors. The spa is also spotless which is a major plus.Cannot say enough great things about their manager Victoria, she made sure we were in and out in time and still fully enjoyed our experience. Would definite recommend to friends and family.

Very unhappy with my visit. Not only was my pedicure mediocre (really only painted my toenails), but the staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful. I will not return to this spa, many better and cheaper places around.

They didn’t soak my feet first like most salons or do the warm towel wrap. Everything just felt rushed. When I got home I realized the paint on my toes had chipped off. I think maybe the paint was old or my toes weren’t dry when they started painting them.

Carmen gave me a mani pedi and she took care of me from start to finish. She did an amazing job taking care of me, attending to all the little details and making me feel like a princess.Great service, not super expensive. Totally worth a visit!

Do not do not do not go to Ballet Slippers for any lux treatments like lashes or nail enhancement. You’ll spend more money fixing their work than it’s worth. Probably fine for a regular mani pedi but they are not equipped for any of the newer lux services.The spa staff is very nice. It looks clean. But the results are not up to standard. My nails are full of ridges from uneven drilling and not one of the tips matches another. My lashes are comical. Going to Bling Lash now to fix.To spa, I know you would have offered to fix, but I really don’t think you’re capable and I’d rather avoid any further damage.

This definitely the nicest place for a mani pedi in the area. Its a tad bit pricier but I wouldnt call it expensive.. there are definitely $30 mani pedi places around but you wont have as nice of an experience than at ballet. The selection is HUGE and the massage, if you get one is always amazing (though this is where it can get pricey).

Sofia is exellent at everything she does, and absolutly the BEST at eyelash extenstions. She is a true artist. I will never go anywhere else.

Its a bit pricey, and someone tried to surprise rub my shoulders. My manicurist was pretty rough and it was at times painful. I ended up having to file the edges when i got home due to the extra material on my skin.

Worst nail salon in the city. Dirty. Horrible owner. He seriously mistreats his workers. Offensive and disrespectful to customers.
